Sorrento was the most inexpensive shopping area (visit Margherita’s (Via S. Cesareo,77) for the best price on porcelain, ceramics, Venetian glass necklaces, etc.).

Breakfast is excellent, wide range of choice and a gorgeous view as you eat.

The breakfast buffet was as expected, with a relatively large selection of morning fare.

The hotel restaurant is high quality and breakfast includes warm pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice, Eggs, bacon, cheeses and fruit.

The hotel serves a great breakfast with lots of choice (you can sit on the restaurant balcony and enjoy your breakfast and the stunning view at the same time), meals and drinks in the hotel restaurant/bar are great and are much more reasonably priced than in the town.

The food was superb never a bad meal and the wine was fantastic, the breakfast which was included in your stay was magnificent.

The breakfast was plentiful and a good selection of foods to suit everyone and also had gluten free items.

There is a very plentiful and varied breakfast and we ate here four times for dinner, each time delicious, the best cannelloni ever!

There was plentiful seating to always appreciate them any time of day.

however, this is a boutique hotel with spectacular views, a great location and free shuttle to the city center all day every 30mins.

The free shuttle was areal help and we used it a few times.

The hotel is not high tech, it is quaint and the people who run it are the nicest ever. They offer a free shuttle to downtown Sorrento 3 times a day in the morning and you just call for a ride "home."

The orange juicer was good and we certainly had our daily dose of vitamin C from using it

They have a free shuttle bus every hour for when you want into town so no transport problems.

The hotel is up in the hills with an amazing view of the sea and sunset, there is a free shuttle bus every hour to take you back and forth to town.

The free shuttle was perfect in that, Il Nido is the FINAL hotel pick-up in the morning to Sorrento proper, and the FIRST hotel drop-off at the end of the day.

The view Sorrento was a quick free shuttle away.

The free shuttle bus to town is convenient and puts you right in the heart of the town.

Also, the hotel has a free shuttle they share with 3-4 other close by hotels.

The free shuttle bus for guests takes you to and from town several times a day, according to schedule.

The hotel is on the hills above Sorrento and is well serviced by a regular free shuttle and a cheap public bus service.

Third, the free shuttle bus is very convenient.

The hotel is up the hillside above Sorrento and there is a free shuttle operating in the morning and from late afternoon until late.

They have a free shuttle that takes you to the city center every 30 minutes with late hours.

but even better dinner when you can sit and enjoy sunrise or sunset , they have free shuttle to go to the town so you do not need worry about your transportation but they also offer plenty parking spots , one thing is missing- is a pool .

We very much appreciated the free shuttle and arrangements for a boat tour the hotel made for us.

the free shuttle bus as many have already mentioned is excellent, on time and gets you to the town in 10ish to 15 mins.

We had breakfast included, and the freshly squeezed orange juice and the pastries were amazing.

The breakfast is a self serve buffet and one highlight is the fresh squeezed orange juice, the oranges from this area have a nice sweetness and makes an excellent OJ.

Breakfast (included) was also delicious, with fresh-squeezed orange juice and a variety of menu items.

We really liked that is was possible to make our own fresh orange juice in the morning.

The FREE breakfast offers a W-I-D-E variety of food options plus fresh-squeezed orange juice and delicious coffee combinations (I usually had three cappuccinos).

however this did not detract from the amazing freshly squeezed orange juice and wonderful coffee with delicious pastries we enjoyed each morning.

Breakfasts in the restaurant with a great view over the Bay of Naples, were excellent with pastries, bread, fruit, cereals, cakes, eggs, fresh make-your-own orange juice, real coffee etc.

The breakfast is amazing, with fresh orange juice and a wide selection of breakfast choices from pastries to cold cuts, to cheeses.

Breakfast with fresh orange juice is my favorite part of the day.

The breakfast is included and has lots of choices, including a machine that makes fresh squeezed orange juice, you toss an orange into it and seconds later, fresh juice in your glass.

Great breakfast with wide selection -  avocado, tomatoes (regular and cherry), mozzarella, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, different sausages, cream cheese, huge variety of fresh pastries, fresh orange juice, decent coffee and more. 2.

The orange juice maker and coffee maker made my day every day :) There were many breakfast options- from fruit to pastries to hard boiled eggs, etc.

It was peaceful while we enjoyed our fresh squeezed orange juice we made ourselves with the oramge juice maker  A great selection of breakfast foods including great pastries authentic to the area, along with croissants, meats, cheeses, and fresh fruit and some veggies, bread, cereal, and more.

The breakfast was the best pastries I’ve had  in a very long time at any hotel and I also sampled the lunch and dinner and a few house wines, all while enjoying the beautiful views.

Breakfast at the hotel was great, there was plenty of selection and like the other reviews the pastries were amazing.

The eggs and bacon were perfection, the pastries beyond delicious, the selection huge and the coffee wonderful.

Restaurant was great, lovely food, very inexpensive, buffet breakfast was excellent with good variety including a large range of tasty pastries along with continental and full cooked breakfast options.

Breakfast was great, there was a hot selection which  is unusual with a continental offering and there was plenty of choice of everything, including yummy pastries.

After only have a continental style breakfast in Rome it was great to have some bacon and eggs along with an assortment of pastries and breads as well as some cold cuts and fresh cheeses.

Breakfast has plenty of different options from superb pastries to cold meats, yummy bread, hash browns, avocado and more. We had dinner at the hotel twice and we were super impressed- great price, great food and stunning view ( try the seafood risotto!)

I’m going to miss the fresh squeezed orange juice, cold meats and beautiful pastries whilst taking in the stunning view.

The single hotel dinner meal that we ate at the hotel was very good.

Food was also very good and we ate dinner here two out of three nights of our stay.

Rooms were clean and spacious with a superb view ( we had 2 rooms as there were 5 of us ) breakfast was good and also a couple of meals in the evening that we had were delicious!

We could not stay here as the odor permeated the room.

Ask about the Shortcut into town and burn off some of the Calories.

The negative: room smelled of smoke,  & the bed was not the most comfortable, I'm sure they would have changed my room if i requested it,  overall its good value.

Our only criticism is that people were allowed to smoke on here.

After we turned on the AC, the smell went away.

There's a musty smell to the hotel and rooms,

Somebody complained here about mouldy smell - if you are allergic to this, it´s better to avoid the inner side rooms (without view), maybe it´s due to this way of building, I didn´t find it disturbing.

We just opened the doors to the terrace when we got back to our room and this got rid of the smell.

When we entered this room we both could immediately sense the stench of mold in the room, and we declined the “better” room.

although it was a little damp down there.

Second, there was some noticeable mould around the air-vent of the bathroom.

Our room smelled like cigarette smoke so we complained to the reception and got a free upgrade to a sea view room.

However, our bathroom smelled like sewers!

Unfortunately I could not stay here again, nor would I recommend it because of the prevalent mold everywhere.

The only reason this review isn't perfect is that the curtains, bed cover and table cloths had a smell of dust and there is no room for personal belongings in the bathroom.

I cannot thank the staff enough for our incredible stay.

All of the staff were very welcoming, helpful, and hard-working.

First and foremost, the owner/manager (I think he was the owner) was the BEST!

You can hear roosters crowing in the morning and the nearby evening church bells set the stage for a relaxing stay.

The Hotel owners cannot be more helpful, looking after your every need.

The owner and his staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us.

This is a family run hotel which was very warm and welcoming.

The staff here are so kind and welcoming.

I would 100% recommend this hotel and I want to give a special thank you to the staff for helping with the airport transport as I was worrying about the timings of it.

I forgot from my last stay that the towels are thin and not what Americans are used to,

Could most definitely do with updating, and lacking in somewhere to hang towels up in the bathroom bizarrely.

Another minor niggle was that the towels were rather thin.

The towels are awful - they are actually thin pique blankets and not real towels.

The towels are not your typical USA towels

It should be noted that the towels are not American style.

The towels were the quality of thin, cheap tablecloths!

The shower towels are also terrible so if you have your own towels it is better to use it.

The towels are more like small sheets and the shower is adequate,

The towels are the paper thin waffle type which they need to replace with regular towels.

Now, the inconveniences, which are small in comparison to the beauties of this place: the room decor is a bit worn; the towels are inadequate (very thin woven cloth, not terry,

The towels are not the plush terry cloth variety I expected to find,

If you want plush towels, freezing cold AC and modern furnishings, this is not for you.

Horrid towels in the bathroom ( old-fashioned flat linen type ).

The towels for showering you're provided with aren't the best.

Don't be bothered by their unique bath towels.

Firstly the hotel itself is amazing, the views are excellent and the rooms are spotlessly clean.

but ours had a spectacular view of the Bay of Naples, with Mount Vesuvious clearly visible across the bay.

Lovely hotel,clean,views on the mount vesuvus so beautiful and peacefull.

The room was perfect for 4 people with balcony with an amazing view.

The view of Sorrento and the bay is impressive as is Mount Vesuvius in the distance.

We were given on upgraded room with spectacular views and spacious balcony.

I’ve stayed at the Westin Ka’anapali and the Venetian in Vegas - this deluxe suite tops them all.

Loved that the beach was accessible and there was a walking path that connects to the resorts.

The view was perfection with the beach just steos away.

Every residence has the same oceanfront view and the beach is steps away.

The view is beautiful and right on the beach.

It is in an ideal location - right ON the beach and so close to the ocean!

Lots of nice touches such as beach chairs, beach towels and an umbrella.

You literally stay right on the beach with easy access.

but we loved watching sea turtles come up to play near shore midday.

There are plenty of beach towels provided for the day and the front desk staff are super friendly.

The service was great and the room positioned super close to the beach (like 15m or so), great experience and would like to recommend to families as the room we stayed was fully-equipped to all our needs.

1 min to beach, see the turtle and whale from balcony.

I started our vacation planning with the hotels further along the beach, where they did offer more restaurant choices within walking distance.

Close to beach, snorkeling and amenities, food.

You can snorkel off this beach with fish and turtles and we also drove  15 min to Honoleau Bay, which had some of the most spectacular snorkeling for free- a tip from our Whale watching excursion hosts.

It felt like a home away from home with magnificent views of the ocean, golden beach for a nice, long walk at sunrise/sunset and great views of the sunset!

Spend time at the beach, the heated pool and hot tub, or lounge on the lawn chaises facing the ocean.

There is a gate which takes you on an oceanfront beach walk to many restaurant options within walking distance.

The location is immediately on the shoreline with just enough space to comfortably sit in lounge chairs in the grassy area before you get to the beach access.

but apparently the place is under constant construction, which can put a huge damper on your stay.

There had been reviews of construction causing issues

The construction and dated comments scared me a bit,

Several people have contacted me about the construction noise.

However, it appears the construction activity is nearing completion so hopefully that will not be an issue going forward.

NO notification prior to arrival about construction, Monday-Saturday!

Make sure and ask about ongoing construction noise.

I would have given five stars excellent if it wasn’t for the construction noise during our stay - which is supposed to be completed by end of January 2023.

The finishings are done cheaply unfortunately 
There was construction when we were there so made for noisy mornings  ( 8 or 8:30am very very loud noises making it impossible to sleep in) Thankfully we made it a routine to take walks at that time given sleeping-in wasn't an option
Room cleanliness was average and they only service the rooms every 4 days.

The loud construction noise goes from 8 AM to 5:00 PM.

The type of construction was not disclosed and pricing was not adjusted for this time.

Also the construction is so loud that there is no way for you to stay in the room while hey are working and construction starts at 8 am and goes until 4 pm so if you were planning on having a quiet day around the resort or if you have an early excursion and want an afternoon nap, any remotely quiet time in your room is out of the question.

but they don’t reflect the reality: small, dated area with construction materials stacked everywhere including the pool area.

Unfortunately during our stay at the resort they were undergoing construction with started at 7:30 am daily.

The only negative was the construction that started at 7:30 am

As of sept 2022, only 1 pool is open due to construction, wich is bothersome, so be prepared for that.

You’ll find more peace (from not having your room smack beside the construction on the building.

Overall the property was amazing - the only issue was construction drilling which we were made aware of prior to booking.

I have absolutely no idea why any place would overbook and place guests right in the middle of a construction zone.

There's also a nice little strip mall across the strip with a big local grocery store (always packed with people) in case you need anything, and a few little shops and small restaurants.

Local grocery, food trucks, shops and beach boardwalks are a short walk away!

There is a lovely boardwalk that will take you through the various resorts along Kaanapali beach, and the complex is within walking distance to a grocery store, restaurants, and other stores.

Plenty of safe parking, restaurants, bars, shops, grocery store, scooter rental all right across the street.

There are several restaurants, other hotels, and a grocery store all within walking distance too.

You’re super close to a food truck park, grocery store & little restaurants so it’s in a great location.

This property is quiet and has a lovely walkway to a shopping center with a grocery, a few restaurants, and other shops.

The condo unit kitchen  was well equipped and the grocery store is walking distance.

Also close to amenities, access to food, groceries etc.

The resort is tucked away at the end of a long private road in North Kaanapali away from the crowds yet an easy walk to the grocery store, Fish Market, shave ice, Duke’s, ABC Store, food trucks, etc.

but there is a large food truck pod really close by with lot of restaurants and several grocery stores within a few miles.

Short walk to the grocery store/coffee/shops.
