My room was great; clean, comfy bed, side view of the port and good shower pressure.

Whilst not large the room way perfectly adequate and clean.

Very clean and comfortable with one of the best breakfasts I have known in any hotel - a superb choice of al a carte options served beautifully by the delightful Zina and her colleagues.

Rooms were neat and clean and it is located right on the Old Venetian harbor.

The place was absolutely spotlessly clean.

Fantastic location right on the marina , staff were great and the breakfast was superb, definitely recommend a visit, rooms were neat clean and tidy, in hindsight would have grabbed a front room instead of a side room as they seem a bit bigger

Situated at the elbow of the old Venetian Harbour, immaculate rooms; gracious and helpful employees; attention to detail; and excellent food (I’m Greek).

Located in front of the harbor, we had an amazing view, with a huge wrap around porch.

Clean, charming, on the old Venetian Harbor of Chania, this is the best place to stay in Chania.

My wife and I stayed at P V, at the old Venetian harbor, Chania, Crete, Greece last month.

Now, if they could just build a pool on the roof. .

My only criticism would be that the style of the hotel is relatively modern, and so it may not be as quaint as other venetian style hotels, oh and also i would suggest a jacuzzi on the roof; instead of solar panels!

I didn't rate the pool or fitness center because I didn't use them.

There is no pool at the hotel, so you have to go the many nearby beaches for a swim.

We didn’t eat at the hotel for an evening meal as there was so much choice in the old town for restaurants

Restaurants everywhere, loved Chania, would definitely visit and stay here again!

The service is really outstanding, particularly the restaurant staff.

We had dinner once at the hotel which was great and the cocktails were the best I had on Crete.

One of the best restaurants in Chania is “Chrisotomos “ and is just around the corner .

We ate many many times at the hotel for lunch and dinner, both on the cobbled stones outside overlooking the harbour and in their quaint flower-filled garden and enjoyed every meal.

All shops and restaurants were just steps away in this historic town.

We had dinner one evening and the menu was really varied and well priced.

Many choices were available and all were tasty.

All the restaurant staff were incredibly kind and helpful - thank you.

The hotel enjoys an excellent location on the harbour front of Chania with a wealth of bars and restaurants on the doorstep.

We had a room on the side of hotel with a balcony which had a partial harbour view.

The rooms were very well insulated at night, and no outside noise was heard.

The balcony views from our room were phenomenal!

We had a harbour-view room which I'd highly recommend.

The room was fine--on the small side as was the bathroom.

The rooms are extremely clean and bright with nicely appointed bathrooms and generous amenities.

A complimentary bottle of wine in our room for our 25th wedding anniversary was also a wonderful surprise!

The rooms were ample sized, balconies overlook the harbor and the beds quite comfortable.

While the room was spotless, the blankets were dirty and stained, the hot water wasn't that hot and the shower leaked all over the floor no matter what you did to prevent it.

The bathroom floor also gets really wet because of the way that the small showers are built

The shower was also small and difficult to use (without flooding the bathroom floor!).

The bathroom was also a bit small and the lack of a bathroom curtain was actually a bit annoying as all water from the shower ended up on the bathroom floor.

The shower is indeed a little interesting to use and you do run the risk of flooding the floor,

However careful you are you end up flooding the bathroom floor and this is a hassle.

The main town and Chania old port are a 25 minute stroll away and there are several sandy beaches within walking distance, including golden beach where the swimming and snorkelling are best.

The location is really convenient, close to the beach and a nice walk to the city centre.

Towels are changed every other day, with the possibility to have extra ones for the beach, which is extremely convenient when traveling with small luggages.

Highly recommend doing Samaria Gorge and Elafonissi Beach!

The beach is an easy 10/15 minute downhill walk and a not so easy uphill walk back :)  The hotel's Theodosi  restaurant is just amazing.

but Nea Chora beach (great organized blue-flag beach) is about a 15-minute walk, or about 30 minutes if you have young kids (as we do.)

We could reach all the beaches and the city center with bus 21 in minutes.

A family run hotel with an amazing view, close to Chania city center, close to organised beaches.

but it was still close to te beaches and center.

The beach you can reach in 5 minuts and the window view was amazing.

Great location for us out of town so traffic quiet and enjoyed the walks into the old town and harbour.

Whilst in a built up area we were very close to pleasant beaches and sea views.

Super location next to the calm beaches and not far to the city center.

With the beach so close it's an easy journey, follow the map reception supply and you're on your way.

Brilliant little bar on the beachfront 10 minutes walk away which makes for a perfect pitstop on the walk into town.

The added bonus of the pool area made it a great place to relax and read a book in the Greek sun when we didn’t feel like being on a crowded beach.

Dogs made noise during the night and early in the morning.

My only downside was the toilet door banged against the toilet it was so small and it was a horrible shower - only because it was old and bit tired looking with a kind of 'past its sell buy date shower curtain' that wasn't inviting and the dogs from next door barked like crazy day or night at anything that moved

The air conditioning was very noisy and very often during the night we could hear dogs barking for hours.

but I didn't like the dogs barking all day long.

The problem is a noisy building (shooting doors, people in the restaurant) and neighbourhood (barking dogs even during the night).

but this is mostly usual hotel noise and neighbours dogs barking which are beyond the control the management- so pack earplugs if you are noise sensitive.

Even with ear plugs I found the day and night barking and howling of the dog tied up outside the ground floor was really annoying, and the noise from other residents does echo around the building.

Also, we were woken up in the middle of night when a guest kept knocking someone's room door (not hard knock) on the first floor, and dog barking in early mornings.

Only minor issues we encountered: That Damn Dog - the guard dog that barks at his own shadow ALL night every night - not an aid to restful sleep!

but the dogs barking all night, so hard to sleep.

When we got to the airport, we realised my boyfriend had left his phone at the hotel on charge in reception!

In fact when we arrived we waited for 15 minutes and then decided to call the hotel number.

And also, on our way back home we had asked at reception if they know when buses go to airport from Chania,they checked online and told us that every 2hours and basically we are  late and they can call taxi.

Before we had even finished our conversation he was on his phone speaking to the housekeeping staff and by the time I returned to my room they were already there installing a foam mattress topper so my wife could sleep better.

I called him again 3 times and he didn't picking up the phone.

He seemed genuinely upset that we were calling time on our stay at his hotel, which he clearly adores.

They sat with us for over 6 hours looking for flights the next day and assisted us in calling airports, travel companies, taxies etc, without asking for a thing.

This hostel (I can not call it hotel) is just terrible!!!

You can ask the hotel to call for one for you or just go down to the main street and easily catch one.

We were on half-board tarif and throughly enjoyed the food.

Fabulous kitchen with tasteful tradition Greek food.

The whole hotel has a welcoming feel to it and everyone is so kind and helpful - including the staff in the restaurant!

A good place to come for a quiet break… if you want restaurants and night life next door to the hotel, this would not suit you .

The pool is very close to the restaurant tables so privacy is a bit of an issue.

Alexis Hotel is great in terms of the staff, the downstairs restaurant, and ability to book affordable tours on-site,

The restaurant attached to the hotel is great for breakfast, and FANTASTIC for dinner, with knockout views. Enjoy!

The hotel is always clean and tidy, with fantastic views of sea and Chania(  love the morning view when the sun come up on the old town) 
The restaurant for the hotel is superb, a must visit for anyone coming to Chania.

The staff is always sooo kind and smiling, the breakfast and the restaurant are great, and the room was very clean.

We can not recommend the hotel   and  the fabulous restaurant enough as always so Impressed .

The restaurant just down below is amazing, we tried
both the dinner service and the aperitivo.

We ate breakfast which was another example of good quality.

but the last day wasn't lost we were able to leave our case at reception, kept the pool towels and room towels until we left, we walked into town enjoyed the pool and went for a meal and then freshened up in  the shower room.

The restaurant downstairs offers very tasty dishes with a beautiful view of the sea.

Evening meal: traditional and more than acceptable Greek food in big portions.

If you want to stay within reach of the main town bars, shops and restaurants,

Chania is a busy local town with an interesting harbour, do take a boat trip out as this was excellent experience , can be booked directly at the harbour.

It's about a 30-minute walk to the Old Town, and the walk is along a busy, non-scenic street.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with showing us how to get to the beach and into town.

they let us check in very late and sorted out an issue with our tv promptly, good location on edge of town 15mins drive from centre

The hotel is close to public transportation and we walked to the old town in about 35-40 minutes along the water .

10 minutes from Centre of old town chainia.

Walk into town, follow your map to the sea then take the path adjacent to the water all the way in to Chania.

We were provided history on the town, a guided map tour of how to get around and the best places to check out while in Chania.

Chania itself is a charming town with lots to do

Quiet place and at the same time near the old town and the beaches.

The location is great, a few minute ride to Old town and really near to the highway.

We loved the fact we were so close to the town

It is an easy walk into town along the coast or you can walk to the bottom of the road and hop on a bus.

It is ideally located to enable you to walk to nearby beaches and Chania town.

but still close enough to the old town if you change your mind then Alexis is the place for you.

You may also find, like us, that you prefer to save yourself a walk in the evening and dine at the hotels own restaurant.

The hotel location was 25 minute walk into Chania, a local bus close to the hotel was regular and good value.

The hotel is well situated : in a calm area and at a 5 minutes walk from the sea.

Way to the Chania city center was a beautiful walk, while the hotel is in a calm area with shops & buses in short walking distance.

Hotel is only 20min min away from Chania centre - and that is walking!

The hotel was perfect for a low key break as it situated very near a gorgeous beach (less 10 min walk).

The local beach is naturally beautiful and only a 10 mins walk away.

This wonderful hotel is in a fantastic location, right between the old and new parts of the city.

The hotel was across the ancient Agora and very close to the old city.

First of all this hotel is amazing.In the middle of the city, with nice views,very close to the shops and restaurants.Extremely clean rooms and very comfortable bed.The staff is very polite from the bottom to the top.We enjoyed our holiday we felt like home.Breakfast was delicious as well.

It was awful to use the balcony due to heavy traffic condition and poor view.

Filthy carpets, can hear hallway noise from rooms, and service is poor.

The breakfast is just a litlle bit poor for a 4 stars hotel.

Location is great and advise given for local restaurants was perfect.

It is located close to the shops and old harbour which contains many restaurants.

Besides that, they treated us with a  cocktail or drink to the hotel bar, with great view of the city.

Very caring and suppotive staff, especially Eri  and Vaso  from the restaurant- just amazing.

Very Good kitchen for breakfast and Dinner.
