It is the third time we have stayed here, the quality of the services has been maintained: the spa area is clean, the reception is friendly, the breakfast is consistent.

We didn't like: TV signal so poor, we cannot use the tv-set.

If i would have to say a bad thing: the breakfast was a bit poor,but yet did the job!

Another minus it is that the hotel does not have a swimming pool and offer very poor options for children or adults entertainment.

We ate here often due to poor restaurant experiences in Mamaia.

Sadly it was unseasonably hot out and 80 degrees isn’t my idea of comfortable to sleep.

The 'City view' room (which I had) look out on to a busy 4 lane road and the traffic noise was reasonably loud - requiring earplugs to sleep.

The bed was so low it was like sleeping on the floor.

Also early in the morning there's a sound of a pneumatic drill and other building noises from the construction site just a few metres away from the hotel, so between noisy air con and the drilling - no quality sleep at all.

Unfortunately, our mattresses weren't very firm and the pillows were lumpy and too soft so we didn't sleep well.

Our bedroom was on the street side and I must say the noise (even in the weekend -  in the summer when It's like Ibiza) did not keep us out of our sleep (but we live in a big city, so this is quite subjective).

However, during the night the noise was not so disturbing therefore we had a decent sleep.

The room cleaning is done on daily basis during the morning (it was an exception in one day, when the lady came at noon and I gave up at the service because my little girl was sleeping).

We've used to sleep on temperatures less than 20 deg.

The elevator is not in working condition,

On the negative: the main street is quite noisy, there is no elevator (for your heavy luggage),

The only reason this doesn't get a rating of 5 is that I'm not sure there is an elevator, so I'm not sure it would be suitable for people with mobility impairments.

The elevator is not always working, so consider that when planning luggage.

The hotel now have their own onsite restaurant, which we really rated highly ; excellent food and decor with really attentive and friendly service.

Reviewing of some space with new arrangements, design and configuration in the hotel associated restaurant could bring added value for customers as well, building on the good quality food and services provided with friendly and relaxed attitude by of most of the waiters.

Hotel Cherica is a nice hotel with a very friendly staff.

In the same way the management team proved to go above and beyond making sure everything is perfect in the hotel, and  also giving us friendly advice on the surrounding area.

-The street is quite noisy and at night time you have a lot of guys driving their bikes to the maximum.

We took the blocking pillar away and started the parking when someone starting shouting from one of the hotel windows to not park there, as we are not allowed.

Except of the fact that there is a bit noisy from outside ( you hear a continous noise from the air co from the esto just in front) and you could not sleep with open window, the hotel itself is beautiful and comfy. The staff is polite, it s there when you need

I find this to be a very quiet hotel, you don't seem to hear the other occupants or staff moving around, when windows are closed you don't hear the neighboring restaurants.

You may want to ask for room that doesn't face the busy street because on a weekend night because there is a lot of traffic on the street and it can be noisy,

but closing your window blocks any noise if you are trying to sleep.

although there was construction everywhere  around Constanta this time a year, I couldn't hear it at all.

but we weren't disturbed by any traffic noise.

although I know some will not like the idea that smoking is still allowed.

The hotel is not prepared to enforce a non smoking policy !

but instead of being told that there are no good rooms available, the hotel has offered to accommodate me in their worst room (that is room 18) in their premises: an inconveniently small twin bed room, which suffers from intolerant bad smells (a combination of smoke and sewage smell) and, to my surprise, as equally expensive as the rest of the clearly superior deluxe mini-suites.

In the cafe where breakfast is served people smoke and the staff are rather indifferent if not rude- still it's not part of the hotel.

The only negative thing about the hotel is that lately they seem to have a problem with the sewage system and some rooms have a smell problem in the bathroom.

As in many places in Romania the non smoking area is not very well protected from the very large smoking area

From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction.

On a final note, the woman who practically lived at the front desk was an absolute angel.

The hotel clerk made arrangements with transport on a small bus that takes you to the Bucharest airport.

(By the way, if you need a Covid test in Constanta go to OK Medical by the city mall. No appointment necessary, totally professional and results come in quick.)

The coffee maker didn`t work and the personnel wasn`t very glad we pointed that out.

Reception is opened nonstop so you can check-in or checkout all the time.

Very old furniture, no TV signal, very uncomfortable bad, horrible bathroom, no parking area close to it, just in front of Arena Regia.

The bathroom didn't have ventilation so was smelly and didn't have toilet roll, a fact I discovered after spending a penny!

Amenities: 2 elevators, one broke and one out of service :))) in the rooms the shower is working bad, leaking and smelling bad.

The lobby bathroom doesn't have soap all the time.

- The bathroom door was not closing properly, the hinge was broken and also a light bulb was broken (some maintenance should be done before checking in new tourist);
- The floor was sandy; I cleaned it up myself since we have a one year old baby walking everywhere and touching everything.

but you will be stressful with shower cabin even your body is an average size.

but also here are several things which are missing like a magnifying mirror, paper tissues and the plastic bags for the igienic absorbants which are more then normal in a 4* horel not to speak about an 5*.

beach- old sunbeds- old umbrellas and full of rusty nails- beware children!!!

The only one big minus the room has: the shower space is totally inappropriate for such a hotel, extremely small, overcrouded and airflow, it seems rudimentary!

but the shower cabinet is rather small and uncomfortable.

The worst part is you could be fooled in to believing my humour above was a gross exaggeration of the pressure one goes through to obtain two more towels.

This is because the hotel's shower is a mini cubicle so small that no normal human being would have room to douche  him or herself.

Some quirks : our bathroom had a shower within an extremely small cabin so one needed special skills to use it ; to use the TV set one has to handle TWO remotes .

The bathroom is very minimalistic compared to what a real luxury hotel offers (not even a bathtub); just look at the pictures I attached to see for yourself.

The bathrooms are fiteed with a shower cabin and (I just sincerely hope that the situation that occured was only in our room) we all almost got hot water burns as there was only a trickle of cold water running through the shower.

The bathroom is kind of cheap, with only a small shower.

So there I was sitting in my bathing suit in front of her, obviously not having where to hide the bathrobe and she was simply sending me back to find the bathrobe.

Just 3 dirty, smelling,  horrible toilets for approximately 200 people.

This is the place where you can relax, have fun and benefit from a wide range of spa procedures for beauty and alse for health problems in a luxurious space and very friendly professionals.

To be fair , our hotel -Arena- has a lot of the features of a standard 5* : friendly personnel , cleanliness , etc.

Rooms are nicely furnished, staff very friendly and the place spotless, we booked with breakfast included and the food on offer was great, If at all, i didn't think the evening menu offered a good variety and didn't inspire me to eat there, we did eat one night, food was very nice,

The prices are quite low compared to the quality of services and the staff has been really friendly and patient and served us politely no matter how late we were out in the restaurant garden.

The feeling we had in this resort was very exclusive with very friendly service and quiet ambient.

All in all we had a lovely stay in a very unusual and lovely hotel, in a fabulous location on a great beach, with super friendly staff and we were well pleased with our choice and indeed would return in a heartbeat.

A short walk through the development takes you to the private beach, bar and restaurant where your every call is waited on by the friendly and attentive staff.

I am surprised to read some of the reviews because the complex Marina Regia is a really good place especially if you want to spend your holidays in a clean, friendly and beautiful environment either with friends or family.

Though our family lives in Faleza Nord Constanta, and there is the Black Sea  20 meters from our house, we choose to take the extra time to drive out to the Marina Regia Beach as it's always clean, the waiters are friendly and the service is good.

Since my husband and myself visited the country for the first time, we experinecd e very friendly and helpful staff.

The prices have gone up considerably, and the services are no longer worth it.

After booking a room I was then called by the hotel to inform me that the facilities were closed due to coronavirus and that I would also need to pay a 400 lei deposit.

but is priced like a Michelin Restaurant.

Honestly, it was the first time in my life, and I travelled a lot and stayed at numerous hotels over the world, when I had to pay for cleaning some small spots on the bed sheet.

What could i do .. i already made arrangements for the trip and they cost me 60 € plus and get 2 rooms with a common door between . Lol!!!

Very expensive for the service and for the country.

Besides the prices, this is not a five star hotel.

any risk of theft or loss is eliminated as the cost of the towel would be covered.

In the meantime I guess try and look elsewhere for a family seaside holiday at a reasonable price .

- the child did not get a set of towels even if we paid the extra charge for his accomodation and meals.

I had to pay ; as it happened we did not have lunch or dinner there during our stay.

The hotel is overrated and consequently overpriced.

The villas didn't sell and the developer found a new meaning for them and all of them are available for rent at very high rates.

But the restaurants in the resort are average and expensive, the bar closes at 11 o'clock and the surrounding Navodari area doesn't offer you much.

Was this for real, in an expensive 5 stars hotel?

We staid for a  night in August 2014 and I remember it seemed quite expensive compared to the services.

overall comment: very expensive for poor food, poor served wines, poor service.

Just ask the price at the hotel or to any tourism company.

Less personnel, less quality in services and more restaurants and bars are closed.

Very professional employees and a very clean and nice place.

And the staff was reduced, they left the old ones and hired (very) young people,

But all is eclipsed by the audacity of the restaurant staff.

Anyway, despite this, Marina Regia has managed to achieve client loyalty, continuing to offer a fair quality service and navigating the tricky Covid rules with a decent level of professionalism.

Excellent conditions in every area of the hotel, suitable behavior proved by the personnel, very committed people with attention paid to the clients needs.

I truly feel sorry for the owners of Marina Regia.

At times it felt we were far outnumbered by staff!

Everybody is very amiable, all time smiling and offering everything what you need.

The towels supplied in this area had seen better days many moons ago, so not acceptable for guest use - perhaps that could be addressed by management or use the ones from the room.

If tou to go to their brach you have yo walk by foot 500 m because the car are not allowed with the towels from the hotel( i think they are kitchen towels verry small) and after the beach back to the hotel with the towels because of you leave them on their beach they will charge you for them.

The hotel receptionist asked for a high amount of money for a pool towel that was lost in the hotel and was very rude.

And heaven forbid you go back to reception and ask for another two towels.

In a nutshell two new towels should be left in the room each day.

Just 4 beach towels (ikea) - note: the villa sleeps 6.

Need new beach or regular towels, or even new sheets?

She told me we would have to pay for the towels.

Not the type of people who are going to steal towels.

in the hotel description you also find a price list for all the things you steal, starting from the hanger over the bottle opener and the towels . .

We were then warned not to "loose" the beach towels from the room, because we will be charged.

We had daily problems with the water pressure and the fact that most of the times the water wasnt warm at all.

In the room 1317 the drains of both sink and shower tub were partially blocked.

The room quite small, the bathroom really small, a bit of refurbishment needed.

The room, bathroom and balcony are very small.

-	Cockroaches in the bathroom at night (had to always keep the light on so they won’t come);
-	Very small rooms (no exaggeration, one has to walk in a file to navigate the few steps available in the room – the bathroom is the pinnacle);
-	Some of the furniture in the room, on the kids bed, has dangerous screws left out so one can easily get hurt (see foto);
-	Ridiculous towel area on the private beach (1 m wide at most).
