The front desk manager kindly offered access to the Club Lounge to say sorry, and I fully enjoyed the wonderful city views it offers.

The outstanding staff was Vicky Ou   in the club lounge.

I was lucky and just in time for their executive lounge re opening.

The staff quality in the Executive Lounge is very good and they seem genuinely pleased to interact with the guests.

The executive lounge on the 31st is divine - regret that they do not have an executive kitchen there - would have been more time convenient for breakfast in the morning.. And Mr. GM (I purposely do not name you) - a very heartfelt - thank you for your personal care and hospitality.

The business lounge / executive floor is well worth the extra money being able to sit calmly and enjoy the breakfast, cocktails or just a tea overlooking the city views.

The girls in the executive lounge speaks wonderful English.

Just wanted to share that its been few weeks I am enjoying the hotel and I have to mentioned that few of the team member working there are quite impressive: specially Ms QQ (Ms Queena, waitress at Executive Lounge) always looking for small details to make your stay even better!

I do recommend the Executive Lounge Club and rooms on higher floor Levels with an excellent and stunning view.

Lobby is old, carpets are old, room lighting is bad and difficult to use and AC too warm and not adjustable.

but the  lighting system is a bit arcane.

When we entered the room, lights automatically came on and the curtains opened on their own.

even though we were sure we left the "do not disturb" light on, for example.

They couldn't find my loyalty number, did not suggest dining options suited to our taste, and appeared a little bit confused about our bar orders.

however once someone who could speak English came on the line we ordered no problem.

And when I DID order from room service, they got my order wrong!

Although I requested a non smoking room this wasn't granted

but certain items could be requested like noodles and eggs.

but hours before my due check out time the hotel called and asked me when i will leave coz their need to know.

The first room we were sent to was on a non smoking floor as requested.

If I hadn't been with friends, I would have asked to see the GM to see how the #$*%*$% could possibly justify $7 for a can of Sprite.

The dim sim were cold and the service attitude by the kitchen staff to heat the requested dishes can be improved.

Staff are nice, rooms are clean and breakfast not bad.

Rooms are clean and the restaurants offer sufficient options to choose from.

The room was spotlessly clean and spacious.

The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is very good.

Staff is well trained, most of the receptionists speak English, room is clean and large enough, automatically drawing curtains, breakfast both western and Chinese, typical Chinese high class hotel.

The rooms are very clean and the quality of bed and bad is fantastic.

The manager Betty was really helpful and helped with planning my day trip in the city.

All the staff speak decent English so its great for tourists who don't speak Chinese.

Jason from the concierge and Carol from the front house were extremely helpful to me in a variety of ways.

She speaks impeccable English and us  super caring.

The staff was very polite and helpful and speak good command of English.

Staff spoke English and were always ready to assist.

but the staff from management to front desk were very polite and helpful; tried their best to please.

I also noticed Timmy, a young French handsome boy who has a positive attitude and welcomed me also.

Hotel personal was very friendly, helpful and understood the english.

Upon check-in, we found that the staff spoke English very well, and were very helpful and pleasant.

I guess this is due to their trained key people welcoming you.

Breakfast is good quality and I can definitely recommend the happy hour in executive lounge - many choices of hot dishes, suitable even if you cannot handle spicy food.

We also enjoyed the happy hour for executive rooms.

In particular I'd like to mention Sunny, who is servicing the Executive Lounge.

We were upgraded to an executive room (top floor) due to my Diamond status.

but is OK.

Less good:
As a Diamond Member I checked out at the executive lounge.

- An Executive lounge for HHonors
- Fast local internet (15 down / 5 up) - with the usual hickups of the Great Chinese Firewall
- 5 Mins walk to the underground which brings you straight to the airport

There is currently a 24/7 building site next to the place.

Had a executive suite room with lounge access priviledge.

The rooms are great, the executive lounge is OK, and the location is fantastic.

I stayed here for 3 nights, and was luckly upgraded to Executive suite as a HHonors gold member.

I had an executive room, it was spacious & comfortable.

Vivian and Mandy from the executive lounge were also very friendly and fun to talk to.

We stayed here for 5 days and got free upgrade to an executive floor corner room and free breakfast as gold member.

Was contacted a day before arrival each time to confirm arrival time and if a transfer was needed, and was given an upgrade to an Executive Suite (from Junior Suite) due to my HHonors Gold status.

The first I would say is that the staff are exceptional, especially in the Executive Lounge.

We stayed in an Executive room which was great, the staff were so friendly and very helpful.

During the check-in, the staff does not mention anything about my access to Executive Lounge.

I felt welcome from The club lounge female staff, and the food option is almost the widest I had ever been in other Hilton hotel, taste is good as well.

But the menu in the lounge and for the breakfast is repetatively same like beef, pork and frog.

The manager at the executive lounge also ordered us breakfast to go after learning about our early flight the next day.

The lounge staff told us they cant issue the Fapiao at the lounge

But it is nice they offer the lounge, just a bit more attention to the detail would make it all the better.

Onto the room - the Executive Suites are fairly roomy and well appointed, very clean and new. The Executive Lounge offers breakfast as well as happy hour (with alcohol!)

but it means hauling your laptop to the lounge each time.

The Executive lounge was comfortable the service was good and staff so kind and helpful.

There are noise from the building site nearby which may cause some discomfort.

However, the sound of the TV could be inaudible.

He had been on the construction side, of the hotel and had been up all night, due to the noise, and was at reception, trying to get another room.

I wake up every morning at 8 by extremely loud and noise.

It's easier to do it this way as the hotel can be difficult for a taxi to enter if traffic is backed up.

My room is on the 17 floor facing the construction so I am currently listening to a giant jackhammer slam into rock at 6am.

however as the traffic jam in Chongqing is almost insane, make sure you have plenty of spare time if you want to go out especially at morning and evening rush hours.

Much of the business centered around the north area and this hotel is shorter commute; in Chongqing traffic, that can be significant.

There's a Parking lot next to the hotel, some noisy in the night for automobile engine.

One thing the hotel need to take note is its sound proofing system.

It will cost you about 35-40 yen and takes about 30 minutes if there is not so much traffic.

Its light rail connection to the airport is very important, since traffic jam is quite bad in Chongqing.

Room is clean and cozy; breakfast was worth the try, as it filled my tastebuds with a slice of the local culture.

The first & the most important thing to me: a clean room.

Room is clean, big, quiet (staying at 31st floor), staffs are helpful.

Transportation is convinient, and room is clean.

Location is very good, close the to metro station with lots of shopping mall and local food restaurant nearby.

Centrally located, lower ground floors of the hotel opens into a luxurious shopping mall and there are many places to shop and so many eateries around this area.

The location is good for going around and it’s next to Wanda Plaza a big shopping mall, and river view was a positive point.

There is a shopping mall within walking distance, very convenient for travelers.

Right next to many giant shopping malls with abundant food choices.

You are close to some big shopping malls with lots of choices for eating.

With easy access to shopping malls, both basement and across the street, dinning and shopping is just a door step.

Shopping convenience, there are a lot of shopping malls nearby, ordinary shopping is ok.

This hotel is located above an upscale shopping mall, and surrounded by a few high end malls and many eateries.

There are a number of restaurants in Paradise Walk shopping mall if you want to explore.

Good location of hotel next to shopping mall (with high end brands).

Accesses to the shopping malls are within walking distances with a huge range of restaurants like Pizza Hut, Haagen Daz, Starbucks and Ajisen Ramen etc.

The place is in a lively place, reachable through a shopping mall, with restaurants of all kind within walking distance.

The hotel is above an upscale shopping mall that is small

Hotel is very well located, close to shopping mall with lots of shops and nice restaurants.

Location is very good, near a large shopping area with lots of shopping malls around.

It's literally on top of a shopping mall.

The location was perfect as there are many shopping malls with international as well as local brands, a supermarket, and countless eateries within a 5 minute walk.

BTW: I understood that the hotel was NON SMOKING - Not the case.. the corridors have horrible fresh smell of smoke (floor 15) and VERY uncomfortable for us non smokers. .

There was a rather rough looking fellow who followed me into the elevator, lit up a cigarette,  and suddenly started yelling at me when I could not disguise my disgust.

As this room smelt marginally better, I gave up trying, and accepted,

The room was spacious, slightly smoke/damp smell, what really let down was the overnight construction noise outside—it was too later to change at the first night

did not receive doubletree hotel signature cookies upon arrival, no fruit basket as promised, gave us a standard room at first which was damp and smelled like smoke which should have been smokeless room that we specifically asked for.

So I'm mad with no one offer assistance, no proper greeting and even conversation until I show I'm mad and she start notice BUT I guess she probably don't know what she do wrong and she might think I'm another nasty guest.

Only complain is Smoking should be prohibited within hotel premises, lobby, lift, corridor.

Got to my room and as a non smoker I was given a smoking room.

I also wish they have banned smoking in public places like the lobby, lift and corridors, as the smell is unbearable to non-smokers.

Scan the AR code and all goes to Chinese !!

Cons:
You might get disappointed with the free wifi speed and their breakfast buffet spread.

but I found that I was unable to connect after two days.

The free wifi is extremely slow -- eventually I switched to tether my phone data from my laptop.

Internet is rather expensive considerate the tariff they charge.

This was the only hotel that charged extra for wifi during my ten days in China (several different cities/hotels), it wasn't a cheap room and just felt like getting squeezed for extra money.

But they did not provide Hilton member with free wifi access when the booking is not make through their official web page.

Only negative feedback is the wifi that costs 20 RMB/hour and 60/day.

Going to be a tough decision next visit  

ONLY COMPLAINT - HAVING TO PAY FOR WIFI   I HATE THAT

The only thing to complain about would be the lack of complementary WiFi in the rooms,

But then when I checked out, there is an internet charge in my room bill.

Only thing i realized is that wi-fi in the room was extremely slow, much slower than wi-fi at the dining room.

By the time I could connect to my manager the guy came up and informed me that the payment is made

It is extremely unexpected for a five star hotel to charge the Wifi.

Only two small criticisms: 1- the room was quite dark and the light switches are ‘challenging’ to get right [its probably just me]; 2- no free Wi-Fi in guest rooms, albeit cable connection is available [at a fee].

The only complaint is no free wifi in room.

The internet is slow if you would like to access websites located outside of the country.

This is the first time I have ever paid for internet in mainland China!

On our way home from a day out in the city we relied in absence of a taxi on the help of a young man who literally escorted us back to the hotel to make sure we got in and refused politely our money in return for a taxi for himself.

Hotel is located well, not far from city centre, it takes a while to get a taxi

but also because I also often rely on the hotel staff to help with task such as locating places within the city, or writing notes for cab drivers, etc.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and fitness center was beyond what I had expected.

The rooms were clean, the bed was super comfy and the shower was massive.

Room itself is clean and sleep quality is fine, the aircon is only working as fan and no cold air at the moment.

Room is clean and spacious, very comfortable with a good price.

The rooms are really clean the internet fly's so can Skype to home in Australia with no fuss and the bed is heaven.

Also only 10 minutes to  major shopping and restaurants.

Subway is convenient if you can walk a bit - requires one change going almost anywhere that tourist goes, a solid 20 mins walk to Jiazhou station, big shopping, restaurants next door and a block over, clean, spacious, Chinese - no English, excellent Wifi nice spread for breakfast in a nice room of both Chinese and Western dishes

The room, on the 11th floor, was perfect and had a great view.

The second smaller bathroom has a sink and toilet.

Got into the room and found that it’s leaking water from the roof in the bathroom, called the service center and they promised to change my room and would send one to my room and deliver my new key card which took around 30 mins, I had to call all 3 times to confirm which was just terrible.

They did not ask if I wanted breakfast or any other amenities the hotel offers.

Everythng met its expectation of a Marriott hotel at an executive level,  except the strong smell of sewage chemical that came from the toilets and all sinks  , usually if you shut the toilet lid , all is ok, this time I had to shut the door, plug the sink and tub it was just a bad smell that gave me headaches in two of my four night stay .

Bathtub is really small,toilet a bit outdated for a hotel in China.

I throw a piece of hand tissue into the toilet bowl and closed the cover, upon returning to the room the hand tissue is still in the bowl.

but it was as unclean as the first one with hairs in the bathroom (first dirty rooms we had in China).

It's weakness is the parking garage, whose entrance is little more than a bare concrete construction zone even three years after my last visit and the water pressure in the shower.

Lucky there was still CNN and HBO on the tv channels

I usually have breakfast at the executive lounge which is quiet.

This provided us with executive lounge facilities on the 28th floor.

The Executive Lounge is the place where we spend the longest time except for stay in room.

I agree with other reviews that executive lounge one the best in class.

Executive lounge has a good view of Chongqing which was perfect for me as I did not have time to see the city.

Great restaurants inside and the executive lounge can’t be beat.

The Executive Lounge is an oasis after a long day at the office thanks to Sophie, Sandy and Beryl.

When I arrived at the Executive Lounge, Ash and Nina warmly received us.

But what set it apart was one of the best Executive Lounges ever: The staff went above and beyond when it comes to helpfulness and politeness.

The Executive Lounge (for frequent Marriott users) is one of the best i have seen.

I found the staff, especially those in the Executive Lounge to be extremely friendly and professional in their willingness to provide assistance, especially thanks to Sophie Yue at the executive lounge.

C) Executive Lounge serves food not better than a local fast food restaurant.

Had a business meeting at the executive lounge at level 28, the staff was very nice and helpful, especially Anne and Danny.

Sophie and Lyric were excellent and made my stay at the Executive lounge memorable.

I was afforded the previlege to access executive lounge and the services by Moki Chen and her team (Wendy, Nina, Sophie, Teresa, and others), as well their the guest relations manager Kitty were just outstanding.

We had breakfast in the executive lounge and that was spectacular - quiet, civilized and delicious.

I stayed at the JW for 3 days and 4 nights and visited the executive lounge time to time.

Executive lounge environment is good and staff like Sophie and Wendy are friendly and helpful.

First of all I have to say that the staff was very friendly, especially at the executive lounge.

During our recent stay at JW Marriott Chongqing, my husband and I were very pleased with the service rendered by Sophie, Livia and Rita who manned the Executive Lounge on the 28th floor.

As mentioned, the executive lounge staff are pleasant and attentive.

Staff in the lounge were friendly and attentive whereas their front desk staff wore a poker face.

I want to give another shoutout the the ladies (Teresa, Sophie, Sandy) at the Executive Lounge for being so helpful too.

Special thanks as well to the Lounge staff, they were extremely kind, attentive and courteous throughout and they even surprised my 3 year old with a 3-d model set, thanks!!!

I met with the lounge managers and chef regarding my allergies and they were nice enough to prepare me something separate every night that we were there and the food was delicious.
