Breakfast is good quality and I can definitely recommend the happy hour in executive lounge - many choices of hot dishes, suitable even if you cannot handle spicy food.

We also enjoyed the happy hour for executive rooms.

In particular I'd like to mention Sunny, who is servicing the Executive Lounge.

We were upgraded to an executive room (top floor) due to my Diamond status.

but is OK.

Less good:
As a Diamond Member I checked out at the executive lounge.

- Very centrally located with all conveniences in a few minutes walk away
- Well appointed rooms with spaceous layouts
- Extremely lovely staff
- An Executive lounge for HHonors
- Fast local internet (15 down / 5 up) - with the usual hickups of the Great Chinese Firewall
- 5 Mins walk to the underground which brings you straight to the airport

There is currently a 24/7 building site next to the place.

Had a executive suite room with lounge access priviledge.

The rooms are great, the executive lounge is OK, and the location is fantastic.

The executive lounge was nice and clean, and enjoyable environment,

I stayed here for 3 nights, and was luckly upgraded to Executive suite as a HHonors gold member.

I had an executive room, it was spacious & comfortable.

Vivian and Mandy from the executive lounge were also very friendly and fun to talk to.

We stayed here for 5 days and got free upgrade to an executive floor corner room and free breakfast as gold member.

Was contacted a day before arrival each time to confirm arrival time and if a transfer was needed, and was given an upgrade to an Executive Suite (from Junior Suite) due to my HHonors Gold status.

The first I would say is that the staff are exceptional, especially in the Executive Lounge.

We stayed in an Executive room which was great, the staff were so friendly and very helpful.

During the check-in, the staff does not mention anything about my access to Executive Lounge.

Location is very good, close the to metro station with lots of shopping mall and local food restaurant nearby.

This hotel location is nice, walk down it is very busy shopping and eating plaza.

The hotel has a lot of stores and restaurants around it and is located in a fun neighborhood to explore.

Located in the middle of the bustling Guanyingqiao area, steps from the shopping hub Paradise Walk, this hotel has the benefit of proximity to the metro system, high end stores and a neighborhood with great food and authentic Chongqing experiences.

Centrally located, lower ground floors of the hotel opens into a luxurious shopping mall and there are many places to shop and so many eateries around this area.

Very good location within Chongqing, plenty of places to walk to for shopping and eats.

Its location is very convenient if you would like to do shopping or eat lunch/dinner.

but it’s located in a calm and relaxing area of the lobby.

If you want to do some sightseeing by public transport then the location is good with a metro station about a five minute walk.

This hotel located in the perfect location, walk-able to the  nearby shopping mall and restaurants.

Still would like to go back to stay the same place for their location and service

the hotel is situated at a great location.

It's location is in a short walk area from some great shops and restaurants.

Let me share with you my impressions:

Positive:
Friendly staffs, good location - central with lots of good restaurants in walking distance, comfortable room interior, Good restaurant with very nice breakfast buffet, affordable price a 5 star accommodation in a center location.

Stayed at Double tree again this year for the prime location in eating and shopping.

Perfect location, walkable to subway station.

good location, and excellent food and quality.

I felt welcome from The club lounge female staff, and the food option is almost the widest I had ever been in other Hilton hotel, taste is good as well.

But the menu in the lounge and for the breakfast is repetatively same like beef, pork and frog.

The manager at the executive lounge also ordered us breakfast to go after learning about our early flight the next day.

The lounge staff told us they cant issue the Fapiao at the lounge

But it is nice they offer the lounge, just a bit more attention to the detail would make it all the better.

Onto the room - the Executive Suites are fairly roomy and well appointed, very clean and new. The Executive Lounge offers breakfast as well as happy hour (with alcohol!)

but it means hauling your laptop to the lounge each time.

The Executive lounge was comfortable the service was good and staff so kind and helpful.

There are noise from the building site nearby which may cause some discomfort.

However, the sound of the TV could be inaudible.

He had been on the construction side, of the hotel and had been up all night, due to the noise, and was at reception, trying to get another room.

I wake up every morning at 8 by extremely loud and noise.

It's easier to do it this way as the hotel can be difficult for a taxi to enter if traffic is backed up.

My room is on the 17 floor facing the construction so I am currently listening to a giant jackhammer slam into rock at 6am.

however as the traffic jam in Chongqing is almost insane, make sure you have plenty of spare time if you want to go out especially at morning and evening rush hours.

Much of the business centered around the north area and this hotel is shorter commute; in Chongqing traffic, that can be significant.

There's a Parking lot next to the hotel, some noisy in the night for automobile engine.

One thing the hotel need to take note is its sound proofing system.

long wait for check-in, check-in staff operated very inefficient and slow quality of breakfast is lousy, hardly any choice of food, the bread and pastry is horrible air con fan in room very loud, cannot be lowered otherwise the fan shuts down completely first I was given a smoking room, which smelled worse than pub the new room still smelled stale and damp choice of TV programmes in English very limited

It will cost you about 35-40 yen and takes about 30 minutes if there is not so much traffic.

Its light rail connection to the airport is very important, since traffic jam is quite bad in Chongqing.

I love the noodle in the breakfast restaurant, so far I enjoyed my stay here and will consider to come back again.

Great hotel, comfortable room, with an excellent buffet restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

Plenty western restaurant styles nearby with surprisingly accurate flavors.

It was a surprise that I could have rice and beef stew + salad for the breakfast!

There is a mall nearby and a McDonalds down the street that is open late.

Best location for shopping, leisure and restaurants.

but with plenty of soft drinks and beers.

I tried some local food in the hotel and a restaurant nearby,

Hotel provides wide spread of food for breakfast, Hotel staff are excellent in their service.

The restaurant at the Doubletree is great for the breakfast buffet.

but the service was great in some places.

Service is great from check in to check out.

There are some very good people providing outstanding service.

I was checked in by a pretty girl with cute smile on her face, that made me feel good, thanks for the fast and professional service.

The hotel itself offer excellent value and great service.

The service was the front desk and the cafe were all very attentitive.

Large room, good service, decent location as well.

I have realized that the service standard has improved significantly.

excellent service most helpful chefs who prepared fresh breakfast every day.

There must be a revamp in Service Standard recently that it is now on par with some 5* hotel in Chong Qing where I stayed there previously.

Called room service as well, Ok quality with friendly service.

On the other hand, service improved when we checked out, we received cookies and the person apologized for everything.

Good place and Great service, My 1st choice in Chongqing, some of the staffs can speak a good english,and small always.

A 5 to 10mins walk will bring you to one of the main shopping district (do make use of the elevator to skip the slope).

The location is good for going around and it’s next to Wanda Plaza a big shopping mall, and river view was a positive point.

There is a shopping mall within walking distance, very convenient for travelers.

Right next to many giant shopping malls with abundant food choices.

Since the shopping is just down the street you can easily find a taxi if you desire.

With easy access to shopping malls, both basement and across the street, dinning and shopping is just a door step.

There is also a large shopping center across the street called the Walk of Paradise that has a seemingless endless number of shops and several good restaurants at front on third level that you can easily see from the street.

Picked this hotel due to it's near our friend's home, subway and Guanyinqiao shopping district.

You are close to some big shopping malls with lots of choices for eating.

Shopping convenience, there are a lot of shopping malls nearby, ordinary shopping is ok.

This hotel is located above an upscale shopping mall, and surrounded by a few high end malls and many eateries.

There are a number of restaurants in Paradise Walk shopping mall if you want to explore.

Good location of hotel next to shopping mall (with high end brands).

Accesses to the shopping malls are within walking distances with a huge range of restaurants like Pizza Hut, Haagen Daz, Starbucks and Ajisen Ramen etc.

The place is in a lively place, reachable through a shopping mall, with restaurants of all kind within walking distance.

The hotel is above an upscale shopping mall that is small

Hotel is very well located, close to shopping mall with lots of shops and nice restaurants.

Location is very good, near a large shopping area with lots of shopping malls around.

It's literally on top of a shopping mall.

The location was perfect as there are many shopping malls with international as well as local brands, a supermarket, and countless eateries within a 5 minute walk.

BTW: I understood that the hotel was NON SMOKING - Not the case.. the corridors have horrible fresh smell of smoke (floor 15) and VERY uncomfortable for us non smokers. .

There was a rather rough looking fellow who followed me into the elevator, lit up a cigarette,  and suddenly started yelling at me when I could not disguise my disgust.

As this room smelt marginally better, I gave up trying, and accepted,

The room was spacious, slightly smoke/damp smell, what really let down was the overnight construction noise outside—it was too later to change at the first night

did not receive doubletree hotel signature cookies upon arrival, no fruit basket as promised, gave us a standard room at first which was damp and smelled like smoke which should have been smokeless room that we specifically asked for.

So I'm mad with no one offer assistance, no proper greeting and even conversation until I show I'm mad and she start notice BUT I guess she probably don't know what she do wrong and she might think I'm another nasty guest.

Only complain is Smoking should be prohibited within hotel premises, lobby, lift, corridor.

Got to my room and as a non smoker I was given a smoking room.

I also wish they have banned smoking in public places like the lobby, lift and corridors, as the smell is unbearable to non-smokers.

I cannot go far enough to commend this Hotel on how right they made my stay.

Staff behaviour and approch is really good.

WOW what a team member - upseller of the year !!!

Staffs at lobby are friendly and helpful.

Still, they are earnest and helpful and do everything possible to be of assistance - and Google Translator or the 'Say Hi' app come in very handy!

Pros:
They have spacious rooms and courteous staff.

Friendly and helpful staff; clean and spacious room; good value.

Very helpfull staff, who ensures finding someone English speaking to help you.

The reception is large with a pleasant and comfortable area available for guests.

She is very attentive and provided excellent service during my visit.

The staff took care of our luggage at check-in and prepared a fruit bowl + Evian water in the room.

Staff there are very polite and very eager to serve.

Most staff are friendly with smiling face.

Comfortable, courteous staff (with good english speaking skills), good food available and excellent swimming pool and gym facilities.

Scan the AR code and all goes to Chinese !!

Cons:
You might get disappointed with the free wifi speed and their breakfast buffet spread.

but I found that I was unable to connect after two days.

The free wifi is extremely slow -- eventually I switched to tether my phone data from my laptop.

Internet is rather expensive considerate the tariff they charge.

This was the only hotel that charged extra for wifi during my ten days in China (several different cities/hotels), it wasn't a cheap room and just felt like getting squeezed for extra money.

But they did not provide Hilton member with free wifi access when the booking is not make through their official web page.

Only negative feedback is the wifi that costs 20 RMB/hour and 60/day.

Going to be a tough decision next visit  

ONLY COMPLAINT - HAVING TO PAY FOR WIFI   I HATE THAT

MARRIOTT HAD FREE WIFI

The only thing to complain about would be the lack of complementary WiFi in the rooms,

But then when I checked out, there is an internet charge in my room bill.

Only thing i realized is that wi-fi in the room was extremely slow, much slower than wi-fi at the dining room.

By the time I could connect to my manager the guy came up and informed me that the payment is made

It is extremely unexpected for a five star hotel to charge the Wifi.

Only two small criticisms: 1- the room was quite dark and the light switches are ‘challenging’ to get right [its probably just me]; 2- no free Wi-Fi in guest rooms, albeit cable connection is available [at a fee].

The only complaint is no free wifi in room.

The internet is slow if you would like to access websites located outside of the country.

This is the first time I have ever paid for internet in mainland China!

Why can't they equip at least 2 more bottles every day by the faucet?

The hotel is attached to IFS and is very convenient with superb views of the city.

First time stay in Chongqing Niccolo ,it was a very good exoerience ,it is higher than Chengdu Niccolo ,has fatastic river view and city night view.The service also stunning me , recommand to all of you .

Our room has a good view of the city and its so comfortable.

Classy , swanky hotel with impeccable service and amazing city views .

Their rooms are at sky level with nice view of the city!

The lobby is in a very top floor, so that's absolutely a very good choice to enjoy the amazing city view of Chongqing.

This is the one and only urban chic hotel you should stay before you kick off your journey in the amazing mountains city!

There are elevators to IFS and you can go to the shopping mall by elevator.

Elevator got a bad smell and they try to cover the smell with air flesher which doing a average job.

After that we switch elevator to go to our room located on 60th floor.

1) no greeting fruit platter 
2) no turn down service 
3) no one to take us to our room or show where the lift was.

First, getting from the room to the outside of the hotel (and vice-versa) required guests to change elevators, which we found maddeningly inconvenient.

But chongqing taxi driver seems like not familiar with the hotel.

As the taxi driver could not speak a word of english Leo helped me to clearly explain where I had to go.

So I just had the opportunity to go recently, I did expect spend 10mins more to find the hotel entry, even the local taxi driver was totally lost .

Of the many taxis we took in Chongqing, not one of the drivers knew where the hotel was nor how to get to the main entrance (which is situated on the 4th floor),

He paid the driver via his own setup payment mode.

Even taxi driver doesn’t know where to pick up!

Niccolo Chongqing is one of the luxury sky hotels in Chongqing City.

Definetely a luxury hotel perfect for a business trip.

I’m an habitué in Chongqing and I’ve tried along the years all its luxury five stars hotels.

The room is big and clean with all the standard facilities and amenities that a five-star hotel should have.

This is the only hotel I would consider luxury in Chongqing

The hotel was located right on top of the brand new IFS complex which is convenient for luxury shopping.

Lunch and dinner had a nice balance of luxury and more common a la carte selections.

A truly stunning luxury property in the dynamic city of Chongqing.

Details of them reflect Niccolo ambition to fight for building luxury hotel customer base from its relatively new brand.

All the luxury shops are for young shoppers if you want to pick up some expansive pieces.

Niccolo Chongqing is the highest and most luxurious address in the district.

You could look out onto the river from both rooms in the suite -  a luxurious treat.

I 'd like to use the "relaxed luxury" to describe the Niccolo Chongqing's style.

Hotel located at the top of Chongqing IFS so you can have all the top luxury shopping experience when you visit the hotel.

Service, food, dishes, bar, live show, ,there are may types of local offers that you can spend your stay time all in hotel.

I loved the local food.Like Chongqing Spicy Noodles with Beef,it was so delicious.

Concierge help my luggage and suggest the restaurants nearby hotel for me.

With unique humanistic quality and its graceful hospitality, and using international management experience, I can experience the elegant and scorching Chinese food culture formed by the vast history, and enjoy the world's high-level management service.

but the Hainan chicken rice got some differences taste.

but we came to have a relaxing brunch in a beautiful restaurant with a view.

Special mention to the Check In and Breakfast Restaurant hosting teams for their friendly and caring attitude.

IFS shopping centre is connected to the hotel with many food choices.

Actually I am quite shocked and surprised that the waitress of restaurant Queenie (if I spell it right), could directly call my name in the 2ed morning, also remembered I ordered ice coffee last day!

There are Restaurants nearby including a Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse which is amazing.

but had a well selected variety and incredible quality of food.

The live music was quite good and the cocktail were OK.  Next time will come back again.

the breakfast has a good choice of both western and Chinese food.

The staff here were exceptional, the food was great  had a suite overlooking the water and went on the riverboat cruise
