I love the noodle in the breakfast restaurant, so far I enjoyed my stay here and will consider to come back again.

So if you don't care about the breakfast, this place is great

But the menu in the lounge and for the breakfast is repetatively same like beef, pork and frog.

We arrived late and they kept the buffet open for us.

Room is clean and cozy; breakfast was worth the try, as it filled my tastebuds with a slice of the local culture.

Breakfast is good quality and I can definitely recommend the happy hour in executive lounge - many choices of hot dishes, suitable even if you cannot handle spicy food.

Breakfast had too many choices for Chinese

The manager at the executive lounge also ordered us breakfast to go after learning about our early flight the next day.

We enjoy their breakfast, lots of varieties we can choose.

Hotel provides wide spread of food for breakfast, Hotel staff are excellent in their service.

The restaurant at the Doubletree is great for the breakfast buffet.

Let me share with you my impressions:

Positive:
Friendly staffs, good location - central with lots of good restaurants in walking distance, comfortable room interior, Good restaurant with very nice breakfast buffet, affordable price a 5 star accommodation in a center location.

excellent service most helpful chefs who prepared fresh breakfast every day.

Hotel is very clean, the breakfast is great with a mix to cater for all nationalities and staff are very friendly and will help where possible.

a great buffet breakfast was had in the main restaurant on second floor.

We also enjoyed the happy hour for executive rooms.

In particular I'd like to mention Sunny, who is servicing the Executive Lounge.

We were upgraded to an executive room (top floor) due to my Diamond status.

but is OK.

Less good:
As a Diamond Member I checked out at the executive lounge.

Diamond Member so Executive Lounge and except for a few days when many visitors to lounge .. food was plentiful and various

- Well appointed rooms with spaceous layouts
- Extremely lovely staff
- An Executive lounge for HHonors
- Fast local internet (15 down / 5 up) - with the usual hickups of the Great Chinese Firewall
- 5 Mins walk to the underground which brings you straight to the airport

There is currently a 24/7 building site next to the place.

Had a executive suite room with lounge access priviledge.

The rooms are great, the executive lounge is OK, and the location is fantastic.

The executive lounge was nice and clean, and enjoyable environment,

I stayed here for 3 nights, and was luckly upgraded to Executive suite as a HHonors gold member.

I had an executive room, it was spacious & comfortable.

Vivian and Mandy from the executive lounge were also very friendly and fun to talk to.

We stayed here for 5 days and got free upgrade to an executive floor corner room and free breakfast as gold member.

Was contacted a day before arrival each time to confirm arrival time and if a transfer was needed, and was given an upgrade to an Executive Suite (from Junior Suite) due to my HHonors Gold status.

The first I would say is that the staff are exceptional, especially in the Executive Lounge.

We stayed in an Executive room which was great, the staff were so friendly and very helpful.

During the check-in, the staff does not mention anything about my access to Executive Lounge.

I felt welcome from The club lounge female staff, and the food option is almost the widest I had ever been in other Hilton hotel, taste is good as well.

The lounge staff told us they cant issue the Fapiao at the lounge

But it is nice they offer the lounge, just a bit more attention to the detail would make it all the better.

Onto the room - the Executive Suites are fairly roomy and well appointed, very clean and new. The Executive Lounge offers breakfast as well as happy hour (with alcohol!)

but it means hauling your laptop to the lounge each time.

The Executive lounge was comfortable the service was good and staff so kind and helpful.

There are noise from the building site nearby which may cause some discomfort.

However, the sound of the TV could be inaudible.

He had been on the construction side, of the hotel and had been up all night, due to the noise, and was at reception, trying to get another room.

I wake up every morning at 8 by extremely loud and noise.

It's easier to do it this way as the hotel can be difficult for a taxi to enter if traffic is backed up.

My room is on the 17 floor facing the construction so I am currently listening to a giant jackhammer slam into rock at 6am.

however as the traffic jam in Chongqing is almost insane, make sure you have plenty of spare time if you want to go out especially at morning and evening rush hours.

Much of the business centered around the north area and this hotel is shorter commute; in Chongqing traffic, that can be significant.

There's a Parking lot next to the hotel, some noisy in the night for automobile engine.

One thing the hotel need to take note is its sound proofing system.

long wait for check-in, check-in staff operated very inefficient and slow quality of breakfast is lousy, hardly any choice of food, the bread and pastry is horrible air con fan in room very loud, cannot be lowered otherwise the fan shuts down completely first I was given a smoking room, which smelled worse than pub the new room still smelled stale and damp choice of TV programmes in English very limited

It will cost you about 35-40 yen and takes about 30 minutes if there is not so much traffic.

Its light rail connection to the airport is very important, since traffic jam is quite bad in Chongqing.

Location is very good, close the to metro station with lots of shopping mall and local food restaurant nearby.

Centrally located, lower ground floors of the hotel opens into a luxurious shopping mall and there are many places to shop and so many eateries around this area.

The location is good for going around and it’s next to Wanda Plaza a big shopping mall, and river view was a positive point.

There is a shopping mall within walking distance, very convenient for travelers.

Right next to many giant shopping malls with abundant food choices.

You are close to some big shopping malls with lots of choices for eating.

With easy access to shopping malls, both basement and across the street, dinning and shopping is just a door step.

Shopping convenience, there are a lot of shopping malls nearby, ordinary shopping is ok.

This hotel is located above an upscale shopping mall, and surrounded by a few high end malls and many eateries.

There are a number of restaurants in Paradise Walk shopping mall if you want to explore.

Good location of hotel next to shopping mall (with high end brands).

Accesses to the shopping malls are within walking distances with a huge range of restaurants like Pizza Hut, Haagen Daz, Starbucks and Ajisen Ramen etc.

The place is in a lively place, reachable through a shopping mall, with restaurants of all kind within walking distance.

The hotel is above an upscale shopping mall that is small

Hotel is very well located, close to shopping mall with lots of shops and nice restaurants.

Location is very good, near a large shopping area with lots of shopping malls around.

It's literally on top of a shopping mall.

The location was perfect as there are many shopping malls with international as well as local brands, a supermarket, and countless eateries within a 5 minute walk.

BTW: I understood that the hotel was NON SMOKING - Not the case.. the corridors have horrible fresh smell of smoke (floor 15) and VERY uncomfortable for us non smokers. .

There was a rather rough looking fellow who followed me into the elevator, lit up a cigarette,  and suddenly started yelling at me when I could not disguise my disgust.

As this room smelt marginally better, I gave up trying, and accepted,

The room was spacious, slightly smoke/damp smell, what really let down was the overnight construction noise outside—it was too later to change at the first night

did not receive doubletree hotel signature cookies upon arrival, no fruit basket as promised, gave us a standard room at first which was damp and smelled like smoke which should have been smokeless room that we specifically asked for.

So I'm mad with no one offer assistance, no proper greeting and even conversation until I show I'm mad and she start notice BUT I guess she probably don't know what she do wrong and she might think I'm another nasty guest.

Only complain is Smoking should be prohibited within hotel premises, lobby, lift, corridor.

Got to my room and as a non smoker I was given a smoking room.

I also wish they have banned smoking in public places like the lobby, lift and corridors, as the smell is unbearable to non-smokers.

Scan the AR code and all goes to Chinese !!

Cons:
You might get disappointed with the free wifi speed and their breakfast buffet spread.

but I found that I was unable to connect after two days.

The free wifi is extremely slow -- eventually I switched to tether my phone data from my laptop.

Internet is rather expensive considerate the tariff they charge.

This was the only hotel that charged extra for wifi during my ten days in China (several different cities/hotels), it wasn't a cheap room and just felt like getting squeezed for extra money.

But they did not provide Hilton member with free wifi access when the booking is not make through their official web page.

Only negative feedback is the wifi that costs 20 RMB/hour and 60/day.

Going to be a tough decision next visit  

ONLY COMPLAINT - HAVING TO PAY FOR WIFI   I HATE THAT

The only thing to complain about would be the lack of complementary WiFi in the rooms,

But then when I checked out, there is an internet charge in my room bill.

Only thing i realized is that wi-fi in the room was extremely slow, much slower than wi-fi at the dining room.

By the time I could connect to my manager the guy came up and informed me that the payment is made

It is extremely unexpected for a five star hotel to charge the Wifi.

Only two small criticisms: 1- the room was quite dark and the light switches are ‘challenging’ to get right [its probably just me]; 2- no free Wi-Fi in guest rooms, albeit cable connection is available [at a fee].

The only complaint is no free wifi in room.

The internet is slow if you would like to access websites located outside of the country.

This is the first time I have ever paid for internet in mainland China!

Staff are nice, rooms are clean and breakfast not bad.

Breakfast was great and with a wide range of options; we were able to sample Chinese cuisine as well as other international cuisines.

The breakfast spread in the lounge was pretty simple

The buffet breakfast was fantastic with a variety of food to suit everyone.

The customer care of Martin and his colleagues was impeccable, looking after me in a professional manner if I needed anything (Italian coffee was delicious too).

The breakfast buffet has got a fabulous spread both for Asian and western choices.

The executive lounge on the 31st is divine - regret that they do not have an executive kitchen there - would have been more time convenient for breakfast in the morning.. And Mr. GM (I purposely do not name you) - a very heartfelt - thank you for your personal care and hospitality.

The business lounge / executive floor is well worth the extra money being able to sit calmly and enjoy the breakfast, cocktails or just a tea overlooking the city views.

A rich and delicious breakfast was served in their restaurant on the 2nd floor.

Concierge was very helpful, the recreation (swimming pool) area was good and the breakfast selection was vast.

The restaurant and buffet were excellent and had a great range of very good food.

The Kempinski is a great hotel offering spacious rooms and a super buffet breakfast.

TV has CNN, BBC and HBO, as well as Discovery

They have a buffet on the second floor.

The front desk manager kindly offered access to the Club Lounge to say sorry, and I fully enjoyed the wonderful city views it offers.

The outstanding staff was Vicky Ou   in the club lounge.

I was lucky and just in time for their executive lounge re opening.

The staff quality in the Executive Lounge is very good and they seem genuinely pleased to interact with the guests.

The girls in the executive lounge speaks wonderful English.

Just wanted to share that its been few weeks I am enjoying the hotel and I have to mentioned that few of the team member working there are quite impressive: specially Ms QQ (Ms Queena, waitress at Executive Lounge) always looking for small details to make your stay even better!

I do recommend the Executive Lounge Club and rooms on higher floor Levels with an excellent and stunning view.

I highly recommend the Executive Lounge Club, the staff are really friendly and effective.

Lobby is old, carpets are old, room lighting is bad and difficult to use and AC too warm and not adjustable.

but the  lighting system is a bit arcane.

When we entered the room, lights automatically came on and the curtains opened on their own.

even though we were sure we left the "do not disturb" light on, for example.

They couldn't find my loyalty number, did not suggest dining options suited to our taste, and appeared a little bit confused about our bar orders.

however once someone who could speak English came on the line we ordered no problem.

And when I DID order from room service, they got my order wrong!

Although I requested a non smoking room this wasn't granted

but certain items could be requested like noodles and eggs.

but hours before my due check out time the hotel called and asked me when i will leave coz their need to know.

The first room we were sent to was on a non smoking floor as requested.

If I hadn't been with friends, I would have asked to see the GM to see how the #$*%*$% could possibly justify $7 for a can of Sprite.

The dim sim were cold and the service attitude by the kitchen staff to heat the requested dishes can be improved.

but they were very helpful with good attitude.

The manager Betty was really helpful and helped with planning my day trip in the city.

All the staff speak decent English so its great for tourists who don't speak Chinese.

Jason from the concierge and Carol from the front house were extremely helpful to me in a variety of ways.

She speaks impeccable English and us  super caring.

The staff was very polite and helpful and speak good command of English.

Staff spoke English and were always ready to assist.

but the staff from management to front desk were very polite and helpful; tried their best to please.

But the Best thing about this place is the staff - so attentive and polite.

I also noticed Timmy, a young French handsome boy who has a positive attitude and welcomed me also.

The service was good, especially at the front desk with Zoe and Cynthia.

Hotel personal was very friendly, helpful and understood the english.

Upon check-in, we found that the staff spoke English very well, and were very helpful and pleasant.

I guess this is due to their trained key people welcoming you.

Breakfast quality and diversity was also in a high level.

Very comfortable room, good air conditioning and very good breakfast buffet.

Hotel breakfast wasn’t the best buffet I had in China.

I liked that the breakfast was located on the 8th floor, sufficient food choices at the buffet.

I was actually quite surprised at how good the breakfast was after having stayed at mid-tier China hotels before.

We had fantastic breakfast for free, the minibar was also included.

Breakfast has western options and enough staff speak English to get whatever you need.

A local hotel in a good location.its close to pedestrian street for cafes/shops/restaurants etc.Lobby is open plan with reception on the left with seats & concierge/left luggage on the right.Check in was swift as staff saw I was in executive level so Check was on 39th floor.The executive lounge is here with breakfast in morning.drinks in evening with meals/snacks selection.

The buffet breakfast was impressive with Chinese and western spread in great varieties.

The breakfast buffet is very varied, I took breakfast and lunch at the same time.

To add up your experience of staying here, a sumptuous buffet breakfast with high quality food is waiting for you.

We didn't take the hotel breakfast as some nice bakeries close by which we used to buy lovely bread and cakes for breakfast instead.

There is a wide variety of breads, pastries in the breakfast spread.

The breakfast spread is impressive especially the local fare - a real variety of spicy Chongqing food.

Good spread of breakfast buffet, don't miss the noodle station, the noodles were al dente and delicious even with simple condiments.

The restaurant was very clean, and the food delicious.

Breakfast was excellent and we were all sorry to leave.

A beautiful high rise with gorgeous views, the lobby is pretty, the buffet breakfast has a great selection of foods, the room is large, clean and comfortable.

I also ate at the hotel Chinese restaurant once while I was there and I also found the food to be very good.

WiFi and wired internet complimentary and speed is ok.  Chinese restaurant on 8th floor also great!

(no sparkling mineral water).lounge staff are helpful & friendly.Room was on exec floor(no smoking room/no smoking floor)yet ashtray/matches in room.Comfortable good size room with tv/desk.poor aircon.Complimentary laundry/water/tea/coffee.Also a pillow menu is available.Bathroom is smart/modern with walk in shower.Buffet breakfast is amazing-Western dishes/Asian dishes/Chongqing dishes/breads area & egg station.-the biggest selection of breakfast I have ever seen.not to be missed.There is also a Chinese restaurant (overpriced).There is a pool/health spa area.Concierge is helpful with taxi/luggage/stamps etc.Attentive staff help guests.

We also ate at the hotel's Chinese restaurant and it was excellent

It had a full selection of both Western and Chinese cuisines, including fruit juices, continental and American breakfast options, yoghurt, fruits and the like.

We enjoyed the Chinese restaurant very much.

Elevators of this hotel have very high speed, I did not experience such high speed in any other elevators around the world till now!

The only two things I am a bit not sure is the sharing lift with the Citic bank staff, as the Citic bank is using a few levels of the hotel to be their office, so often there were quite a lot people using the lift to go to work.

The only setback for this hotel as the CITIC bank office is also locate at the same building and sharing the same lift which will make me feel inconvenient at rush hour to share lift with the ppl work there.

the only strange thing at the hotel (and I use "strange" because it is not really a problem) is that the hotel seems to share the buildings with some bureaucratic offices or the likes, so sometimes the elevator stops at the middle, and you feel like in another building/world for 20 seconds .

Hotel is located in a great location in center of city, easy access to many places and shopping centers, and some nice historic places are also close to it.

Well located hotel right in centre of Chongqing within walking distance to main retail/activity area of Liberation Square.

The hotel location is very good, next to commercial pedestrian stress and also famous Hongya Dong,Bayu architecture!

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to JieFangBei walking street.

The concierge staff Zhu Yao Bin offered to help us to liaise with the luggage transfer service person and keep updated me closely with my luggage’s location & status.

The hotel is located next to a business district with shopping and food options within walking distance.
