There was a spanish guitar player in the evening who was very talented and well worth a listen, so basicly who ever had the idea to change from served meals to cheap buffet slops had a bad idea please get the standard to what it used to be and until then stear clear  of this place.

but the Club Laurel restaurant was good (but pricey) and the buffet we tried a couple of nights and was also very good and great value.

The food at the breakfast buffet was plentiful, varied and, in our opinion, good quality.

Breakfast on the open air terrace with a Bucks Fizz in the sun takes some beating.

The main restaurant is buffet for both breakfast and dinner, and is pretty good.

Most of the buffet is unappetising and lukewarm.

Actually the breakfast was EXCELLENT too so maybe we could have guessed the evening meal would be.

Additionally, another trap is a credit towards a la carte restaurants if you don’t eat buffet.

Staff lovely and friendly especially the ones in the morning when we got our breakfast.

The breakfast ambience and food quality are mediocre.

The buffets change everyday and there is huge variety.

There is a lot to choose from at breakfast and the staff is very friendly.

The breakfasts and dinners were, as ever, of a very high standard.

Everything was always crystal clear (chambermaids do a great job), disinfection everywhere, in the dinner buffet, you can’t just take things, one person performing service will give you what you ask for, everything is packed (even the ice-cream), all stuff always wearing face masks (I can only imagine how difficult it is especially in the hot weather).

I would recommend breakfast only as there are a number of nice and not too expense restaurants in the neighborhood and the buffet can be insipid and boring after some days.

If you're vegan or vegetarian there's plenty of choices on the buffet and the staff are more than happy to make something if you don't find what you want.

Much was familiar, the lovely setting, gardens, generally pleasant staff, excellent golf course.

The staff are obliging & some have been there for years .The bedrooms scattered  around the grounds & beautiful gardens   are your own small home, well furnished & homely with balconies .

The hotel property has a nice location, lovely views & a pleasant garden.

The gardens in which the accommodation is situated are wonderful and I have visited a few real botanic gardens in my time.

There’s also a botanical tour that you can join which takes you on a guided tour of the gardens.

The whole hotel is basically one botanic garden placed in the beautiful La Gomera.

The rooms are spread out over the site in two storey blocks with beautiful gardens,

The setting on a cliff and in a beautiful garden with lots of trees, flowers and birds are just wonderful.

Beautiful location in a pueblo village style layout with gorgeous tropical gardens and trees.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting, the gardens are stunning and a decent standard of room and dining.

Gardens are beautifully kept and if you are a hill walker you will be in heaven.

What a treat this place is - and unusually for an upgrade hotel  it gives some thought to the environment - little electric carts whizz about the place with the staff doing their jobs, the rubbish bags are biodegradable, the "eco-finca" ( vegetable garden) minimises chemicals and rotates animals to improve the soil and the golf course (normally very unfriendly to the environment)  uses grey and desalinated water.

Gorgeous rooms, wonderful swimming pools, comfortable beds, great choice of food, friendly staff, beautiful gardens, privacy, sea views, super tennis courts and cool coach, dramatic location and wonderful yoga teacher.

-Comfort of Beds

What was bad:
- All additional fees for every single Thing
- Bad coffee

The surrounding gardens also give a feeling of calm and tranquillity.

This was not our first stay at the Tecina Garden hotel, and as always the welcome was warm and efficient.

We also enjoyed the variety of activities you could participate in – we loved the star gazing walk with Jurgen, and the petanque, table tennis, mini golf & paddle tennis with the animation team – a big shout out to Enzo & Daniela – you are the best!

There are pools and many other activities on site, and a short walk to the golf course club house which is available to non golfers and is a great way to sit and look at the sea over coffee or a drink.

We played golf at the adjacent club which is pretty good with  sea view from most holes.

Also a big thank you to the service team, specially Mustafa. For sure we will come back, specially because of Anne-Tina and an amazing Golf place, also  thanks to the full team in Jardin Tecina and Tecina Golf place, Your Holli and Bente (Danish lady🇩🇰)

3 floors all to ourselves and views of golf course, pool and the sea.

even though I do not play golf as the golf course seem to be amazing as well.

Whilst our room was of a traditional style rather than modern, it was certainly pleasant enough and being on the upper floor had amazing views over the ocean and golf course.

It is well located right next to a golf course.

We are an active family so played alot of tennis (the courts are good quality and plenty of them), played golf (stunning golf course), yoga, fitness classes, swam in the pool and the sea and also plenty of time to relax and read by the pool.

I played golf twice, the course is wonderful, you start way up the hill and play down or across the slope all the way.

but challenging golf course  with stunning views over the sea.

We stayed at Jardin Tecina 7 days with 5 days golf, the hotel is located on a very nice location with a fantastic view that can be enjoyed from the restaurant or if you are lucky to get rooms with view.

The golf course is 300 meters from the hotel.

There is a golf course and superb tennis courts on site.

As usual I was there for the golf and also as usual the course was in excellent condition, the staff in the reception were polite and very friendly and always helpful.

We played every single day, and I will review my all time favourite golf course separately.

Tea/coffee served was poor and many queued at fresh coffee machines.

I guess they are getting booked as soon as the other guests realise the poor quality of the buffet.

Such affluence in a basically poor area and so many overfed and obese people!

Food was quite poor, over cooked chicken that tasted like eating plastic, over cooked pork, burnt sausages, cold chips, fat served up on the plate with the food, even the pizza was terrible (how can you go wrong with a pizza).

It is with deep regret that I have to write such a poor review for this hotel.

Fish was not fresh, pasta was untasty and overcooked, lunch was quite poor

but all the food we tried was mediocre or poor.

but apart from freshly-made omelettes, all the hot dishes were basic (beans, sausages, bacon) and poor quality (fatty undercooked bacon, nasty pork sausages).

but the dinners in the main restaurant were generally tasteless with poor ingredients.

but when we arrived  there was no help given in finding our room
There was a cinema showing good films, but the sound was so poor it was impossible to follow the dialogue.

Overall I felt that a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting was let down by poor service and very, very mediocre food.

We tried the International  (Canarian) restaurant, and without boring you with detail it was very poor, one course sent back as inedible.

Only a minor negative, the Wi-fi in the bedroom was very poor

We will be back!

but the one at the bottom of the elevator on the 
‘Beach’ was poor.

We were very disappointed and feel we paid alot of money for something that was not provided and very poor value for money and therefore will not be returning in a hurry.

but hotel entertainers trying to mime and dance to piped music was poor.

So would I go back, no - my personal experience was poor and I am still unhappy with the way I was treated regarding the air conditioning.

This is a gem of a hotel let down by poor management and profiteering.

Staff are very welcoming and especially the entertainment crew we’re amazing and always smiling.

There was entertainment each evening of pretty standard 4 star fare and on some nights there was a separate guitarist outside the main bar.

Animation team were a delight, very friendly and approachable.

but Anne-Tina is truly the crowning glory of musical creation and we are allowed to share in it, for which we are extremely grateful!

Our holiday was a dream, we had many magic moments with the wonderful pianist Anne-Tina, thank you so much for sharing your music with our hearts.

Couldn’t fault the hotel and the fantastic animation team are extremely hard working and made our holiday special.

Big thank you to the Animation team for daily socially distanced outdoor yoga, fitness & dance classes and for the song & dance evening entertainment shows.

The food, animation programs, evening shows, the service, everything was great.

The evening entertainment was very enjoyable, particularly the pianist Anne-Tina who entertained us with wonderful piano music.

The entertainment covers all bases , There is a show most evenings in the downstairs bar ,

Watching the sunset, dolphins jumping in the sea, it was magic.

So washrooms and utilities of the hotel are close to the beach.

In the evenings on the beach opposite you may be lucky enough to see the hippies 'fire dancing'.

Right on sea front with glorious views out the coastline and the mountains behind.

At the front it is noisy from the sea crashing on rocks which have replaced the beach as a sea defence.

A lovely 3* hotel with just a quiet road between you and the ocean, so make sure you pay a little extra for a room with a sea view.

The hotel overlooked the beach and the sea was good to swim in or paddle.

but close to bars, shops, restaurants, beach etc.

After four days hard hiking in La Gomera we travelled to Valle Gran Rey for R & R. and there was no better choice than this hotel - a luxurious location within inches of the best beach in the town.

Good location and situated at the end of a popular beach.

The hotel set in a great location and is just across the road from the beach.

You then stay in a little cove and can have a swim then eat a very nice lunch.

Still we had a lovely little balcony overlooking the beach.

Having said that, we would return to hotel as area was very ice, plenty of eating places if required, a lot of them were closed for holidays while we were there.There is also 5 beaches within walking distance, we normally went to the Playa del Ingles beach, about 20mins walk from hotel.Although it  is very popular with nudists it did not bother us.

Hotel perfectly placed across from the ocean and between two parts of the village, harbour side and beach side.

Great location on the beach at La Puntilla, with dramatic mountain backdrops.

Wow, what a super place, ideally located on the seafront.

Lovely to hear the waves breaking on the shore.

The buffet choices for Dinner were plentiful and catered for most needs.

Breakfast was also served on this floor, and it was good with eggs made to order.

Half board served in the roof top restaurant, regular it is served as buffet in the basement.

One of the best views from the breakfast area I have ever experienced in a hotel!

The breakfast at this hotel was excellent.

but it was no problem to have the buffet dinner for about £25 for two.

The breakfast buffet has a good selection of food and it is all well presented.

The third floor roof restaurant is good for breakfast and the pool is ok.

The evening meals were also buffet style, some nights were better than others

Both breakfast and dinner was lovely and fresh at all times with plenty of choice and a lot home grown and homemade dishes.

The position of the hotel is great and a view from the third floor (where breakfast is taken and there is a small roof top pool) is really nice.

The cook one of the mornings was obviously annoyed at having to prepare an omelette, and the female working in the bar area one afternoon wasn't any better.

Breakfast is upstairs either inside or al-fresco and dinner downstairs.

Dinner with big variety of dishes as well.

The buffet dinner was of very high quality and offered lots of different dishes.

Very little choice and a lot of the hot food was barely warm.

The hotel is one of the few place offering food prepared to gourmet standards.

The hotel is located next to several restaurants, easy to walk to many places.

Nevertheless, the valley is great and so are the restaurants nearby.

IN the evenings this restaurant is used as the a la carte, l used it and found it excellent, good value for €.

Dined 3 times in the hotel restaurant, and the food was excellent.

We got back to hotel and asked where we could find food.

We arrived at the hotel at 11.30pm and the first surprise was that the hotel had prepared a meal for us

but there are lots of restaurants in walking distance with excellent food and big portions.

A large range of food and you won’t go hungry.

If your looking for a break away to chill out and disconnect, then Valle Gran Rey is the place to go - long, peaceful sunny days, great places to eat, drink and unwind, with the preferred mode of transport - a good old fashioned bike!

I had to wait in the car park for an hour to get a space because all parking around the hotel is open to the public including camper vans.

On entering the room I was a little disappointed in the decor and lack of space and also electric sockets

That said there was always space at most times of the day.

but no cupboard space and a space for only one small suitcase.

but its not just the for the hotel so a little patience and a space is quickly located.

The bathroom needs refurbishing just to freshen it up - the bath is very small (but there wouldn't be enough space to have a larger one) - I'm 5 feet 10 inches and people much smaller wouldn't fit in either!

Only complaints: they don't reserve the hotel parking for the guests, so you have to compete with all the beach visitors for a space.

Also this is a great place for walkers to stay to use as a base to go on the many organised walks in the nearby national park.

People here mainly Germans on walking holidays.

Valle Gran Rey is actually made up of three distinct villages and you can walk to all three from this hotel.

If you like quiet and beautiful scenery, walking and good weather no sky tv, this is the place for you.

They will organise a bus to the top of the island and pick you up again after your walk.

The hotel is well situated for a nice walk along the front

There is a supermarket about 5 minutes walk away and the Spar and German Bakery c 10 minutes walk away.

The island is well geared to hiking and many of the walks available are quite strenuous

It's also well located, about halfway between the various centres of Valle Gran Rey, all a maximum of 10 minutes' walk away.

Shops and restaurants within minutes walk as is the cash machine.

While waiting in the sun for the ferry you can off-load your luggage into a trailer and go for a walk or have a drink along the promenade.

We had a car and took ourselves off for walks each day, and this provided a nice base to come back to - especially as there are good places to eat in town very close by.

The location was perfect for either staying put and enjoying the area or really great if you wanted to go walking and explore the island.

The hotel is well located a short walk from the town, port and shops.

The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to walk or just relax on this lovely island.

Located facing the sea at the end of a spectacular valley the hotel offers all one needs for either a relaxing beach break or an active walking holiday.

Fantastic setting on the mountain side allowing breath taking views from bed before enjoying a lovely and very versatile breakfast.

The breakfast was exquisite and Isabel and Christian were always on hand to answer our many questions -superb ambassadors for La Gomera .

There's a great spread at breakfast; and a very sensible ‘honesty bar’ arrangement for drinks in the evening.

The buffet breakfast was excellent in a cozy breakfast room.

Nice views of the Hermigua valley, delicious breakfast - and above all extremely friendly and helpful service.

The rooms are comfortable, with and excellent power shower.

Our room was comfortable, clean and the shower was fantastic.

Amazing location (but a short walk away from the main street), very friendly staff, stylish decorations and comfortable rooms!

Rooms are comfortable, clean and simply furnished with firm beds.

A warm welcome, a comfortable room, and an extensive buffet breakfast, this is a good choice for exploring the north-west of La Gomera.

Unfortunately the hotel does not offer dinner.

The village has nothing to offer and closes down after dark (at least in March) with only 3 proper restaurants open resulting in lines forming outside after 7.00 p.m.

The view from the terrace is spectacular, over the whole valley, with the Teide mountain of Teneriffe in the background.

but that includes a couple of the tables on the terrace.

Good communal spaces including terrace with spectacular views.

Feel-like-home atmosphere, nice breakfast there can be eaten outside on the lovely terrace.

We sat on the terrace with a view down the valley to the sea for our breakfasts and to use the wi-fi (which didn't reach to our rooms).

Smart hotel, with a fantastic terrace over looking the valley.

The buffet breakfast is select, and extensive, and you can finish it off with a coffee on the well-appointed terrace, set alongside an impressive cactus-plant rockery.
