 - I did not enjoy food or beverages beyond the club lounge during my stay with the exception of drinks and appetizers at Travelle — where I received excellent service and enjoyed what was offered a lot.
 - I can’t wait for the Club Lounge to reopen; I will make a special trip just to visit!
 - The Club Lounge also has a small business center, for printing boarding passes, and the like - or the Concierge will handle that for you.
 - We had Club access, so took our breakfast in the Club lounge, and had evening snacks and drinks there as well.
 - The Club Lounge had wonderful food service and we ate there every morning.

 - but this should not be the case at a hotel when for our room charge alone for two nights, was over $3k.
 - Additionally, the front desk and accounting folks charged us for $$ that was supposed to be part of our Amex benefit.
 - I believe since we didn't have a choice the service charge should have been waived.
 - but were not what I reserved and no compensation/adjustment was offered except for a minimal food credit.

 - This is my new favorite hotel in Chicago.
 - We had stayed at Peninsula in Bangkok a couple of times and the Chicago hotel is even better.
 - This will be our go-to hotel when we visit Chicago in the future!

 - Sunday valet staff seemed disinterested in helping when we requested our car and were not friendly at all!
 - Asked for more towels frequently and the room smelled like someone smoked in there!
 - Unfortunately, the kitchen staff was overwhelmed by room service requests the next morning and I never got my meal,
 - Though understandably limited on staff due to COVID-19 restrictions, they did not miss a beat on any request or assisting with any questions or concerns.
 - I called the front desk around 1230am and asked if I could get some laundry bag sto fill with ice for my ankle, requested a spoon/fork for my meal that was delivered without any, and for a pen since none were in the room.

 - It's also complicated to get up to the rooms with having to navigate two sets of elevators.
 - The elevator situation is a little odd seeing as how you must take an elevator from the street level to the lobby (2nd floor) and then walk to a second bank of elevators just to access rooms.
 - Not too keen on the second floor lobby and having to change elevators every time.
 - The keycard readers in the elevators did not always work.
 - We felt very safe (there's a night doorman and you must use a room key to get on the elevator).

 - While we expected the room to be nice (it was), and the hot tub to be warm (the kids were pleased), and the lobby to be welcoming (it was and beyond), we didn't expect such hospitality from the breakfast crew.
 - The amenities, such as the indoor pool and hot tub, was great for the kids.
 - Also the hot tub could use a good scrub!
 - We enjoyed the lounge, the bar, the breakfast, exercise room, pool, hot tub and more.
 - Nice pool and hot tub to unwind at night.

 - And, while it looks awful grimy, my feet/socks did not change to that nasty grey from dirty carpets…..which tells me that the carpet is clean.
 - Everytime the heat comes on there is a strange smell coming of it. 3.
 - Neighbors smoked weed across my room, it smelled bad and creeped through the room.
 - My room was not clean when I arrived, specifically I found plastic tooth flossing debris, a hair tie, and a half eaten bag of Skittles candy in the room when I arrived.
 - Hotel issues were no conditioner or body soap left in containers in shower on arrival Carpet is filthey (black residue when you step into the shower) Needs replacement or at least cleaning.

 - At each breakfast, we were met by Ismeta who made us waffles, made chit chat with my son and helped us in any way.

 - The ladies who work in the breakfast area were incredibly nice and would even pour drinks or make a waffle for you.
 - She not only kept everything running, always had nice words to greet you with, talked to many of the customers, she floored us by making the waffles - yes making the waffles and bringing them to your table.
 - She was a ball of energy and made the girls waffles--complete with whipped cream--and presented it with a candle to our daughter.

 - The towels, oh my god the towels.
 - TV was placed at an awkward location (impossible to watch it lying on the bed), towel had yellow stains.
 - The room was good and my only complaint is that they could add some towel racks.
 - And every day, you have to ask again for the extra towels.
