Bed just had duvet and room ran hot/cold (fall in chicago) - wish is also had a top sheet.

The PenInsula Chicago is perfectly located, right on the Magnificent Mile.

I just had a wonderful stay at the Peninsula Chicago.

The Peninsula is our Chicago home from here on out, we absolutely loved the location, the service, the views and amenities! !

We will stay there the next time we are in Chicago ( soon)!

I had the weekend to kill in Chicago and stayed in the Peninsular.

We can’t wait to have dinner at their Shanghai Terrace - rated one of Chicago’s best for Asian cuisine. STAFF.

The staff without exception demonstrated a commitment to providing an excellent experience, and this is what makes the Peninsula stand out among the many fine Chicago hotels.

but I must rave about the service at my recent stay at the Peninsula hotel in Chicago.

I highly recommend this hotel if you are coming to Chicago or if you want to celebrate your big day.

But the Peninsula Chicago is definitely en par with the chain’s properties in Asia and one of the best hotels in North America.

Morgan and Joy, the concierges, were helpful getting reservations during the busy time of the Chicago Food Show.

We travel to Chicago  every year around Christmas time and decided to stay at a supposedly 5 star hotel.

The spa -- with fitness center, lap pool, hot tub, steam room, and sauna -- is very nice.

There is a hot tub, noodles and boogie boards to use while in this space.

Whether you just want to use the pool/hot tub/gym/steam room, or actually get a massage or other service at the spa, you are treated respectfully.

There is an indoor pool and hot tub and an outdoor lounge area to grab some rays.

The pool area had sweeping views and a nice hot tub and lounge chairs to relax.

The rooftop pool was nice for doing laps and relaxing in the hot tub.

The hotel has a spectacular indoor pool on an upper floor with a hot tub.

Spa was great, we both had massages and enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and terrace.

(2) To reach the pool and hot tub, take the elevator to the 20th floor.

The Spa is fantastic and we enjoyed the massages, pool, steam room and hot tub.

The Hot tub and pool area were spotless and the view from the hot tub overlooks the city skyline.

The pool and hot tub didn't disappoint, and the location is superb.

We especially loved the roof-top indoor pool and hot tub with adjacent outdoor patio.

Service was equally wonderful at the lobby restaurant for both breakfast and lunch.

We also enjoyed a late meal in the lobby.

Lunch in the lobby restaurant is excellent, and the atmosphere is calm and subdued for a work or pleasure meal.

The Lobby restaurant is a lovely spot for breakfast, and the waitstaff was fantastic, very attentive.

c) We've booked the Christmas Eve prix fixe dinner at the Lobby after seeing the description from the hotel website about "wagyu, scallop, Maine lobster, and Peking duck all included".

The lobby restaurant to the right of the front desk is quiet with professional staff running around.

Warm greetings were the norm from the front desk, dining lobby and entry level staff and that was just a beginning.

We had arrived having not eaten lunch and decided to grab a quick bite in the lobby restaurant before heading to the art institute.

Our waiter in the Lobby Restaurant, Jianing, was fantastic!!!

We had breakfast both in the Lobby restaurant and Pierrot Gourmet, and also did the Chocolate Buffet on Friday evening with live music - completely decadent

On the last morning I was able to eat in the Lobby lounge and restaurant where everything was china and silver and pressed linen and hushed, attentive service.

In the morning, we had a delightful breakfast at the Lobby restaurant.. everything was cooked to perfection .

The room was pristine, the service was first-class and the lobby restaurant and pool were breathtaking.

We dined in the Lobby of the hotel and had an amazing meal.

We were also presented with birthday cake that evening while dining at The Lobby, during the chocolate bar dessert course.

The lobby restaurant where I had a few breakfasts and dinners catered to every need.

We had a fine breakfast at Lobby restaurant in a beautiful space.

We enjoyed breakfast at The Lobby were food and service competed with each other for excellence.

The food in The Lobby and Shanghai Terrace is perfection.

In the end I had to use my cell phone for 3 hours via 5G.

however no iron u less you call for it specifically.

Involuntarily had to listen to many phone calls our neighbor had to take in the middle of the night.

but sadly after calling and leaving several messages, I never heard back.

It often took a few room calls to get exact what we wanted.

It is policy that the card MUST be given over the phone!

We ordered in-room dining on a few separate occasions and, I am going to call myself out here and say that my family can be very difficult to accommodate and often make very specific off-menu requests.

There were also issues with trying to book a reservation (which fell through), the first request apparently didn’t get noted and we had to call again the next day.

The phone would ring a half dozen times before it was picked up, and when I tried to call down at check out, I was put on hold for eight minutes and decided to just carry my stuff downstairs on my own—when I got to the desk, there was literally no one waiting.

The next few phone calls were very accusatory and security in fact accused us of smoking marijuana and stealing the smoke detector.

She promised she would call them when they opened and see what she could arrange.

I had to spend 20 minutes on the phone calling the restaurant and in the end they found our reservation,

The staff failed to uphold the business agreement I confirmed in writing, over the phone and in person.

Booking.com needs to call us back and modify the reservation.

If you're phone charger is left they will neatly wind up the wires.

but useless compared with LTE/4G on the phone.

Whatever you might need is provided, and even things you'd never expect were as well: a drawer full of bathroom amenities, phone chargers within drawers, an ipad that controls light and heat (and actually works!

although it’s hard to call it standard.

Why bother calling if there is no follow through?

If ever you intend to plan a weekend getaway utilizing the hotels amenities/offerings please be sure to call ahead and inquire that everything displayed on the website is indeed available so you aren’t as disappointed as we were.

The Shanghai Terrace serves up authentic Cantanese food . .

The Shanghai terrace restaurant in the hotel is one of my favorite restaurants.

They even boxed up my leftover food so I was able to enjoy it as a late night snack.

Service is excellent, the room service double Negroni probably gets the award for the most expensive I’ve ever had (over $60), laundry was returned nicely folded and wrapped the same day, and everything worked.

It’s also the home base for room service, valet, in room dining and a lot more.

The little touches in the place are great- from food and service to design.

We ordered room service both nights, had breakfast both mornings and lunch poolside and the food was incredible and the service was some of the best we've experienced.

We also ate breakfast in the restaurant (delicious) and enjoyed the spa.

The food was perfect and the service wonderful.

Excellent cocktails and the 4 way Duck for dinner was amazing.

We ate 2 and the next day the pieces we did not eat was still there, and the next day.

Room service was just kind of meh, a nice setup and pretty,

We visited the Peninsula to bring my nephew to the ice rink and enjoy a cocktail or two.

The Shanghai Terrace features an outstanding Chinese menu (vegan options) with optional outdoor seating.

Our friends and family raved at how amazing the service, food, hotel, and just overall experience was.

An unbelievable staff, a phenomenal location, 3 great restaurants, a terrific bar, and a fantastic fitness center/pool.

An elegant living room was outfitted with chairs, circular black tables and a sofa backed by a floor-to-ceiling mural.

I had a room on the 11th floor and despite all attempts by the staff I could not get enough bandwidth to attend a 3 hour virtual Teams meeting (!).

The dressing room/luggage area was one of my favorite features of the room.

The room was lovely, with a view of the Water Tower.

The rooms are perfectly appointed and are very large and comfortable.

Our room was stunning with great views of the water tower.

Check-in was efficient then another lift up to a high floor room.

The rooms, spa and Shanghai Terrace are also incredible.

Michelle at the front desk was especially accommodating and incredibly lovely and helpful even sending a dog bed and dog bowls up to our room for my wife's 10 lb Malshi Roxy!

Location is great (right off Michigan Avenue) the service spectacular and the room beautiful.

The room itself is all programmed on one screen for lights, tv, etc.

They called my room to ask how my stay was.

It was a long day after arriving around 1:30am in the morning from Napa Valley, and the front desk representative welcome me with a smile.

Starting with the positive… the staff are very informative and accommodating.

Danilo was helpful and everyone who worked there went over the top to be accommodating.

The staff is top-tier and the service is first-class.

The Peninsula staff were all friendly and helpful!

The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy.

It would have been helpful if the bellhop who brought in the luggage had shown us how it worked or told us about amenities in the room, like umbrellas that were in the closet and it was raining!

And Joy and Courtney at the front desk repeatedly went out of their way to handle every detail of our stay.

When I asked a question, they answered very fast and politely, so I was satisfied and I think the service of this hotel was very good.

For all its physical comfort, the Peninsula's service is its outstanding feature: you feel like you are on a great ocean liner, cared for by a staff with great manners and eagerness to meet your every need.

I enjoyed a delicious dinner at Shanghai Terrace.

He took advantage of the pool with stunning views of the city and then enjoyed lunch at Shanghai terrace.

On this visit, we had a wonderful experience in the Shanghai Terrace (the dim sum is utterly sublime) and a nightcap at Z Bar.

The Z Bar is amazing for drinks & Shangai Terrace has great Chinese Food.

And we ate at Shanghai Terrace and that was very good.

Shanghai Terrace has the best Asian food we have tasted anywhere.

Laura, at the front desk, was extraordinary and went way out and beyond to make sure we got tables at Shanghai Terrace during our nights there despite them being fully booked.

We had room service multiple times - breakfast, late night, and through Shanghai Terrace.

but the standout was definitely Shanghai Terrace.

but the Shanghai Terrace restaurant was fully booked, and the Z bar was fully booked.

We then had dinner at Shanghai Terrace , just can’t say enough great things, amazing food and ambiance.

Dinner at Shanghai Terrace was one of the best we've ever had!

From Max in Concierge to Joy in Reception to the staff at Shanghai Terrace and the Lobby to the absolutely outstanding housekeeping team, the service in the hotel is at the highest level.

Last, we had dinner at Shanghai Terrace (their in house chinese cuisine), SO delicious.

She was so sweet and even offered and brought us a blanket since we were chilly at night on the outdoor terrace.

The spa and pool are gorgeous and most impressive.

But I haven't checked out the spa and pool which are supposed to be very. good.

The service is top notch, the food is wonderful, the spa is fabulous.

The in room dinner was also great, and the spa massage we booked was one of the best I have had.. and I felt safe and i and the staff did all the right things with mask and sanitizer.

I also got a pedicure at the spa and spent the morning by their beautiful indoor pool area.

We got some sun on the spa level and Blake was great up there taking car of what we needed.

The spa area is incredible and the rooms are well appointed.

The rooms are beautiful, the spa and fitness facilities unsurpassable, and the staff have a genuine understated friendliness that turns your stay into an effortless experience.

The pool, which is very nice and overlooks the city, is contained within the spa and was divided into 3 lap lanes.

Also the spa just raised their rates without notice,

We enjoyed the gym facilities and the spa!

*Without mention or request*, it was replaced with a robe big enough to wear to the spa.

The spa services are excellent as are the restaurants.

The spa is also wonderful, we thoroughly enjoyed our deep tissues and relaxation.

The SPA services I received were amazing for lack of better vocab.

The spa was a wonderful retreat with a nice pool and sun deck again spotlessly clean.

Our room was spacious, bathroom was huge, there was a shower and a deep,oversized tub that I didn’t have a chance to use, next time!

My room (717) was quiet and well appointed with a king size bed and large airy bathroom with a shower and separate bath tub.

Also, the bathroom was super large with a separate shower and very deep tub.

Nice deep bath tub, efficient, clean, well outfitted room.

The room was immaculate and beautifully appointed, the beds and linens were great quality, and oh my, the extra deep and long soaking tub in our bathroom got a lot of use.

Nice big bathroom with walk-in shower and even a soaking tub.

Used a suite reward here and had a beautiful room with a large soaking tub.

The suite room was spectacular, added bonus was the television in the mirror of the bathroom so you can watch sports while relaxing in the tub.

But all in all, I’ve had comfy beds and nice tubs at 2 and 3 star Marriotts that charge a third of the price in similar city locations, so I’m frustrated that a room that would cost so much would be so underwhelming.

Bathroom was also roomy with a huge sunken tub for soaking and separate shower.

Rooms are a good size and the bathroom has a really nice, deep bathtub.

Bathroom had two vanities, a separate shower as well as a separate bathtub (although for some reason the drain didn't work).

The room was very large and the bathroom is REALLY big and nice with a separate tub and shower.

I think the bathtub was the largest tub I have ever been in and the accompanying apothecary beauty products were very spa-like.

I would recommend getting a room with a bath tub.

The bathroom has a massive soaking tub and separate shower stall.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone spending one night or a week in Chicago!

It's become a regular family getaway to take the train into Chicago for a long weekend, and this JW Marriott has become our regular stop - hard to beat the convenient location, great service, nice (and clean!)

My wife, son, and I stayed two nights this week at this JW Marriott on Adams St in Chicago.

Highly recommend the JW Marriott Chicago.

The location of the hotel seems to be ok. Chicago is a big city with many attractions.

Would definitely recommend this hotel, and if in Chicago again would try to stay here.

Recently stayed two nights with my mother and daughter at the JW Marriott Chicago on points.

Views are usally not too good and the area of Chicago is in the heart of downtown in the middle of the business district.

Overall, a very nice property and I will consider it when traveling back to Chicago in the future.

We were in Chicago for a long weekend and made the JW Marriott our base of operations.

Would recommend this hotel when coming to visit Chicago for both personal and business trips.

This review is not all bad lol, I would like to say the beds were amazing, the housekeepers were kind every morning we ran into them and they made our beds daily, the location was convenient to an mta station so you can get everywhere easily, they have a hot tub and pool in the basement which is beyond rare for the city and the food (when actually provided) in the lounge was great.

There is also an adjacent pool and hot tub area.

The pool area was nice, and has a fairly large hot tub.

Gym was very nice and nice pool and hot tub in the lowest level.

A couple great things about it include a huge, well-appointed gym and a beautiful indoor pool and hot tub.

No one was down there while I was and it made it easy to relax and enjoy the hot tub.

The lobby, the fitness center, the pool & hot tub, the rooms, and the services, are all top notch.

There is a large pool and hot tub along with a spa and gym on the lower level.

The rooms were very nice, I enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

The swimming pool and hot tub were very nice though.

The hotel has a lot of meeting space, a very nice restaurant, a spa and pool/hot tub.

The pool and hot tub are nice and the exercise  room gets  6 stars out of 5!!!
