Breakfast menu - albeit the same everyday, the hotel had to hold breakfast in 3 different venues due to peak season rush.

We are due to attend a wedding here later this year

His manager - Anubhav was shrewd and asked us to pay for second room upgrade and I couldn’t understand that if sea view is not available due to wedding booking then how come paying me would make it available? 5.

but they didn't take it serious..due to this I have go 3 times up and down from the reception to my room just to report and renew the access card, in total 9 time from night till morning.

but due to mix up on dates had to cancel our reservation there after arriving in Chennai) .

Pool: Pool was closed for maintenance due to obvious reasons of COVID.

Pool area wasn't accessible due to covid restrictions hence I wouldn't be able to comment on it.

though they must have had limited check ins I  the past months due to Covid.

though could not try other food delights due to lack of time.

Even a 10 year old kid or old people will not be able to take the buffet items due to the sheer weight of the lid kept on the utensils.

May be due to Covid, deep cleaning was missing and due to dust mites, we got running nose.

I had to extend my stay due to the Cyclone Nivar and flight delay

though the swimming pool and spa aren’t open due to govt. restrictions.

Although most of the services at the hotel are not available due to the restriction, still I find the hotel to be the best in the city.

Due to lock down restrictions we were unable to go back to our home.

We came to stay because our plans changed due to corona virus.

The staff are very friendly and kind, also, the pillows were very soft and comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at the palace even the staff are very Friendly and helpfully.

Helpful, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast buffet.

but in india only because of this hotel I decided to shift my office from Mumbai to Chennai I really love the hospitality of this hotel their moto is guest is god which impressed me a lot and the moto is well served by their service and their staff specially I liked the friendly and helpful behavior of Mr sayntanu and sumit at the reception

The staff, the service, the food, everything is perfect.

The kindness as well as the pride that everyone takes in their responsibilities, is inspiring.

We have had a very good and pleasant stay, the rooms very great, Tushar from front desk has been very helpful and ensure we have had a very good experience on our anniversary!

Specially sumit from the reception always make my day by providing any kind of assistant I require.

He was great on communications and took away all the worries I had about a early morning/night arrival by myself.

Everything was so nice, the staff was always so kind and Aaryan was super helpful the whole time!

The hotel staff goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable.

And this beautiful palace has become amazing by their service and their employees.

Everytime i visit i feel like a home and the staff here are very professional and particularly few names to be mentioned like Mr.sumit,

The sales staff did everything  possible to make our stay the best experience.

Even the drinking water glass cover had dust on it.

So it will be better to make provisions for water outle.

However, the standards of cleaning were utterly abysmal with evidence of previous guests not using handkerchiefs when standing by the mirrors, toothpaste drip marks to the side of the bathroom sink plus filth and water residue to the rear of the sink taps, dirty keypads on the phones, dried food caked onto the glass top of the dining table and cooker hood, drip marks on the kitchen cupboards and actual chunks of food left in the filthy microwave.

A few times, we had to call them multiple times over half an hour or one hour to get a simple request fulfilled (like giving water bottles, or a bedsheet).

Like when you shower the water comes out in the bathroom and floods the bathroom floor and can even go in the bedroom.When I complained about this I got a cold reply that the entire property is designed that way and all the rooms are same and they can do nothing about it.I mean if this is true they need to shut the damn hotel for few months and get the shower area issue fixed and then open bookings .

Maintenance - a) Empty water bottles littered around the pool, b) Drain stopper of the bathtub was jammed.

But there was and issue of the when ever we showered a lot of water would leave the shower.

The bath shower leaked and water reached the bedroom.

Have been offered a cup of lukewarm tea in lieu of the inconvenience.

Our bathroom view of the swimming pool, Broken bridge and the back water was breath taking.

But no hot water in the room for shower  rest breakfast and all foods are good .

The worst part is during these four hours, the hotel staff did not even offer a glass of water.

Further the service levels for housekeeping is nowhere close to 5 star levels- to make your guest wait for 45 minutes for drinking water bottles is ridiculous.

In the evening, we wanted some drinking water to be sent to the room.

I’m not sure if the chilled water was something done by one particular member of staff or not because when he wasn’t around you didn’t get it.
