Staff such manager Joshua  was so so rude like he own the hotel —Well the dinner buffet  is not mach variety and breakfast i can eat only eggs and no regular bread as other.. the room is so clean and comfortable - the only poblem with all staff so rude as the manager is rude what you can expect from the other workers

even though the bakery would have closed since we were celebrating my wife’s birthday.

Day 1 the clothes were delayed saying the laundry was closed on that day every week(this was not informed when clothes were collected).

The bedroom doors have no self closing
mechanism so everyone has to bang then closed with flights arriving 24/7
this goes on through the night

The pool was cold on the roof top as the sun only got to it half a day, the 2 sun beds
whilst we were there was on strict rotation.

Finally the hotel closed the pool on the last four days of our stay for maintenance.

The rooms were quite good well furnished with the study table and lighting.

The rooms are clean and ambience is very good.

but at 11pm at night, I wasn't prepared to call and wait for housekeeping staff to arrive to fix it.

He said that yes, an activator was not working and it is now fixed.

I must have contacted the tech department about 8 times and even after they said they had fixed it, it was still dismal.

Multiple efforts by house keeping and assurances failed to fix the issue.

The meal spread was excellent throughout our stay.

Got timely help with cleaning and room service.

They serve exotic food throughout the day.

We went in for the stir fry menu which had lot of option for sauces as well main courses .

but it’s not ease to stay in the wall safely on a couple of sockets in my room.

Suggest that guests take in the quaint decor from one end to the other , depicting the symbols of typical Chennai neighbourhoods right upto the colonial influence on the opposite wall.

The glass walls allow you to see the city lights and provide enough of a wind break that things don't fly off the table

though the walls, can be a bit of bother.

Suggest that the hotel replace water bottles in rooms in glass bottles.

- Towels were dirty
- Use of plastic for water bottles in the room
- No coffee sachets in the room

Evening time there is no enough staff to even serve me glass of water.

Have a few more bottles of water in the room.

Nearly everywhere one travels in India water is a scarce commodity.

I also became unwell one of the evenings from either the water or food which was disappointing.

Hot water is limitless and always ready—there’s no throwing the switch for the geyser and waiting fifteen minutes.

The buffet was well presented, I ate salad, as I was told it was only washed in filtered water, not tap.

I asked for drinking water and didn't got it for 90 minutes.

Iam from Laknow I came to Chennai for my official work.and choose to stay at savera hotel.yes this is very nice hotel.its middle of city..I saw  a beautiful reception.had good breakfast at paino restaurant.

The whole experience was frustrating and put us off hosting the event at Savera.

4 th floor has lot of disturbance especially in the night 1-2 am when other guests with no courtesy to other room members party, when asked I was being told they are politicians, well no further questions asked.

at my neighbouring room, with their room door wide open, there was a very noisy party with very loud music.

Air conditioner was working very well, not loud,

The one department which is poor is Housekeeping.

On the other hand, most of the staffs at the front reception desk are inexperienced and misinformed people because they failed to give us correct informations and their responsiveness was of very poor quality.

Rooms acoustics so terrible, ring room sounds as if its in ur room, afternoons are full of drilling sounds and gives one a bad headache

- staff in this hotel dont like to listen- they are living in their past glory. .

But the noise was still for hours with doors closed.

Only problem was in the night receipt was bit noisy.

If you ever stay, do not order room service.

Terrible miatake to have stayed here, hotel needs complete change in staff, needs to be demolished and re constructed- very old

Would you believe it if I tell you that a hotel in the heart of Chennai (predominantly Tamil  speaking) is forcing the customer to speak in English or Hindi for a simple food order.

the moment we came into the reception there was some smell which I could not identify (it was not a good smell btw) and we booked the  executive room which we have actually stayed few years ago and there was dust everywhere .

Without A/C, whole room becomes damp and fogged.

Although marked as a non-smoking room, the room had a strong tobacco smell.

The house-keeping manager tells me that the fabric was thin hand hence it got torn during bleach.

but even the second room I was given, the ac although slightly improved was nowhere close to optimum.

As I'm a big fan Of GRT we never had such a bad Experience.

There is fungus smell through air circulation.

However one major problem with the rooms is once you come out of the room taking the room card as usual the lights goes and air conditioner start leaking.

Room has individual AC controls and various lighting presets to set the lightings are per the mood.

Note: did hear the people next door engaging in late night activities via the air con duct. 😱
