The only issue is the room layout for some of the rooms (toilet, shower in odd places, closed up - things that like that).

Unfortunately the pool was closed for annual cleaning and the sauna too.

We had one major disappointment which was that the pool area was closed for renovation when we were there.

However, the prevailing colour in the common areas is dark grey, which makes the corridors very dark and can be a little depressing on a non-sunny day.

but dark and dingy (understand they were probably trying to achieve a particular look, however, it did not come across pleasant nor as luxurious as the photos).

Room corridors a bit dark especially at night.

The design is dark with some lighter accents to brightened up the space.

I also find the lighting in the walkways and hallways a bit dark

Restaurants, Tea House and bars, amazing, you can get different type of food from Chengdu local to western and SEA style.

I’d also like to thank the team for their surprise on Mid-autumn festival - an intricately designed mooncake set with 180 /270 views of the hotel’s key landscape. Always looking forward to my next stay :)

The design is modern and comfy, calm and cool at the same time.

Great atmosphere and the staff is super helpful and pays attention to detail.

The welcoming, the feeling to be expected was a superb introduction to the wonderful architecture of the place, mix of old temple and modern hotel.

The environment of the hotel is very good.

The design of this hotel is the most designed of the four swire group hotels, showing Chengdu classical culture, retaining local characteristics and multi-element design.

The details in the designs, the details in their attentiveness and the unexpected thoughtfulness.

The well designed pool is within an elevator ride from your room and the Jing Bar, Tivano italian restaurant and Temple cafe are all fantastic wine and dining options in the hotel.

As I was travelling alone, the warmth, friendliness and welcoming atmosphere really made my stay.

Definitely would like it if you are looking for designs.

Both the exterior and interior design is modern and yet traditional ancient, full of the temple and traditional style.

The hotel is more or less as part of the Tai Koo Li complex and there is access from the side which means you walk out of the side door and you’re already there.

It took some time to get used the the sliding doors and tricky light switches.

Doors to shower and toilet do not close properly.

The car was conveniently parked just outside the main doors of the departure hall and we were offered cold water in the car.

Next door is a modern and very expensive shopping mall.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the Italian restaurant, where the French chef introduced the dishes to us.

Great location, excellent servers, fancy Italian restaurants, bars and fitness center are waiting all of you to explore.

Very good beds, coffee maker, Dyson hairdryer, very very nice people, lively cafe for breakfast and drinks, good Italian restaurant on site and in the middle of the center of Chengdu.

(wish I can spend some time on Jing bar and TIVANO Italian restaurant on my next visit!)

Perfectly located in central Chengdu near the Daci Temple (and the high-end mall that surrounds it), it also has an excellent bar and a surprisingly good Italian restaurant on premises.

We enjoyed dinner in the Italian restaurant with our food credit.

The Italian restaurant Trivavo was delicious, a real Italian experience and the staff are very attentive.

The in-house Italian restaurant is very good, with great food, service and ambiance.

We had a delicious meal in the Tivano Italian restaurant, and the breakfast was perfect..

I tried the cafe and the Italian restaurant (in the hotel) for food, both very good.

The restaurant is Italian style, great dishes and excellent service.

Tivano the Italian restaurant was really good too.

Also, if you need a little break from Sichuan food and spice, I would highly recommend a delicious visit to the Italian restaurant.

Apart from the semi-a la carte breakfast (the egg Benedicte were great) we also tried some other amenities and restaurants in the property such as the well equipped gym, Easter bbq brunch, and dinner at the Italian restaurant Tivano.

Service was excellent, rooms are big, tastefully decorated with a very modern feel which is evident throughout the hotel. Italian restaurant was very good and the food in Tea House was outstanding (it’s vegetarian and we enjoy or meat!)

Have yet to try the Tea House and Italian restaurant .

The Italian restaurant also organised a pizza making course for the children which they loved.

Don’t miss the spa and Mi-Xun tasting menu, the Michelins star. Definitely the best place to stay in Chengdu for any occasion (include staycation)

Cool pool in the basement to swim some laps and plenty of food and drink places around.

The restaurant has good indoor-outdoor flow.

I did staycation, used the restaurants, and gym.

And I had lunch in Tivano in this trip, the pasta is delicious and authentic.

Truly memorable one day retreat at the Temple House… everything from the room, service, restaurants, bar to the welcome surprise and incredible landscape… we had the best stay in Chengdu and rank this highly on the list of hotels we have visited.

The concierge is super knowledgeable at researching and suggesting things to do, places to eat at, etc..

The marinated shrimps I had for lunch turned out to be extraordinary, and the cheese tray I had while reading in the garden was awesome.

Introduce it to my restaurant manager and some of her friends to me.

There is no shortage of great food nearby.

After my lunch, I came back and then the staff have already readied the room.

Breakfast best enjoyed on the terrace, tivano brunch under the sun, superb vegetarian food at mixun and the bamboo signature massage at the spa is fantastic!

Strongly recommend the hotel; the restaurants are very tasty (The chef Jerome also ensured we had a good culinary experience).

Conveniently situated in the heart of Taikoo Li, restaurants, bars, shopping and many more are at your disposal.

Spacious Family room  w/ long balcony+ comfy tent - fits for nap over the city breeze.

If you’re lucky enough there might be a giant panda waiting you while you back to the room at night :) TTH is now one of the reason I visit Chengdu!

They organized a happy birthday sign and cake in our room for my birthday and the whole stay was brilliant.

My room overlooking the ancient village was absolutely stunning and I was warmly greeted by the fabulous Michelle who gave me a tour and secured a booking at their popular cocktail bar.

I stayed at The Temple House for a long weekend and it was one of the best hotel experiences I have enjoyed anywhere in the world.

We would now rank Temple House as one of our best experiences.

My stay at the temple house was one of the few unforgettable experiences so far.

This is what a true modern day guest experience should be.

The only minor hiccup I encountered was figuring out how to use the remotes and switches to manage the lights, windows, etc.,

It took me a while to figure out a few of the light switches,

but didn't really know how to get the switches and controls of the room right.

The light switches were very difficult to navigate.

I highly recommend lingering if you can over breakfast for more excellent people watching as Chengdu's hipster sashay past, and also make time for the exceptional (!)

The room was super spacious with a gorgeous view of the Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li shopping complex.

It has the best location in Chengdu, right inside Taikoo Li, next to IFS, and only a short walk to Chunxi Road.

Fantastic food, cocktails, and delicious breakfast buffet.

The room service food was great too. Secondly, the location is very handy, as it leads down into a major mall, which even had an ice skating rink at the bottom (which our 7 year old loved.)
