The staff was great from breakfast, to the pool and beach staff, to the restaurant and front desk staff.

The resort is gorgeous, lush, and secluded, you have a whole beach area to yourselves.

The pool area and the beach were good and the restaurants also.

The beachfront rooms overlooked the pool and had a sweeping view of the beautiful private beach and of the sunrise.

We also had the Boxing Day Beach bbq with drinks and fire show before a fabulous evening of wonderful food and music.

Hotel is on its own bay and very spread out.

The resort  was top notch in every aspect from the stunning views , super breakfast with special anniversary /birthday and bon voyage plated treats  , free coffee/tea area / , private beach , pool area and of course the ever friendly and helpful staff .

It’s quite unfortunate that we went on the wrong season so we weren’t allow to enjoy the beach activities including kayaking and sailing which we are really looking forward to.

We last visited Tong Sai Bay in 2006 when we had a fabulous week of being spoilt.

Enjoyed pretty much everything including food, very nice and friendly staff, massage at the spa, dinner at the beach, beautiful garden and comfortable room.

Private and secluded resort in a hidden bay, a small paradise away from the hustle and bustle.

And the anytime available canoes, paddle up was a plus when you feel like it after lying on beach for too long.

The whole staff is excellent and could not be more helpful, never had no for an answer and the location is amazing as well right on the beach

We lounged on the deckchairs by the pool and overlooking the beach, and had cocktails by the bar.

The resort is perfect in every way, beautiful beach on a small secluded bay, lovely gardens and tropical nature, big, clean and modern rooms, two pools, a well appointed gym, and two (soon to be three) restaurants.

We booked the Grand Seafront Villa and it was magical.

There is a wonderful private beach and swimming pool.

There were other issues as well, such as calling for the buggy and them forgetting our order, so we ended up waiting for 15 minutes in the dark at the hotel entrance.

Rooms are very dark and there are different levels - a fall risk for sure for elderly / infirm guests.

The only negatives are those mentioned by others ie not a sandy beach and some rooms are a bit dark with all the dark wood.

That said, they are quite dark and could do with a refresh, the bathroom area is much more modern feeling.

I found that the sea view suites were dark inside and our one had damage to the wooden floor.

but it's down a dark and windy road which we wouldn't have felt comfortable walking.

The steps are dark wood, at different angles and fairly hazardous especially if you don't turn on the under stairs lights.

Really underwhelming experience.The front of house staff were disengaged and when we asked to move rooms we were informed there was no refund as we were downgrading (no interest in why we asked to be moved - our room was dark, mosquito infested and isolated ).

Heard that The Tongsai Bay hotel is the oldest hotel in Koh Samui - truthfully the furniture, dark cherry colored wooden floor.

If you decent to rent a car during any portion of your trip and aren't familiar with the island, try to get back before nightfall as it is a tad bit difficult to navigate the roads surrounding after dark.

I felt the villa was somewhat dark and the steps could use a nightlight.

But maybe a little be dark (what is not so bad after sunbathing).

We couldn't see anything beyond the balcony in the dark only to wake up to PARADISE!

The wood inside the room is dark,however this is the style of the area. Restaurants.

As mentioned in previous reviews the interior of the cottages consists of lots of dark wood,

Air conditioning malfunctioned one afternoon when we returned from dinner to find one bedroom warm due to the malfunction. We called the desk and maintenance was there within

What comes to rooms - basically the only option is villas (beachfront suites small and ugly, cottage suite with really bad location, bad a/c system, tiny and dark) But when you consider villas, you end up with such prices that you'd better go to Four Seasons/Banyan tree or Six senses - where you will get 100% 5 stars guaranteed services.

We had a beautiful, newly renovated Seaview Pool Villa, large in size and well appointed down to even providing different sweets at turn down.

We had room 128 a beautiful beach view room with lots of space and great views across the pool and beach.

We then moved to the swimming pool to try and enjoy ourselves,

We stayed at an Akron pool villa and it was amazing, super nice views.

Our villa with private pool and seaview was one of the best experience we had during our trip in Thailand.

The gardens, beach and pools are very well kept.

We loved the two pools, its uncrowded clean and inviting always.

And 2 nights in a Tongsai Seaview, Pool Villa, again with exceptional views over the ocean.

The rooms were large and comfortable, and the infinity pool divine.

The pool, rooms and facilities are amazing and clean.

Highlights were the breakfast and the beautiful vistas and the half moon pool, which we had to ourselves most of the time.

The room I stayed in opens onto the panorama view of the sea and pool, very excellent room and good condition.

There is a.more private infinity pool away from the busier parts.

Situated in a quiet environment  with private beach access and lots of nature around you.

The private infinity pool and outdoor jacuzzi provided a perfect spot to unwind while taking in the breathtaking beach views and mesmerizing sunrises.

We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast selection, and the private beach and pool areas were very relaxing.

insane value, probably the best beach in Samui (private beach where you can actually swim) , everyone from the staff was top level (from the beach boy , to breakfast/restaurants staff, porters , front desk and managers - can’t name one as all of them were outstanding).

Amazing staff, location and beach are quiet and relaxing.

My cottage-style room, nestled amidst the tropical gardens, was a tranquil retreat with all the modern amenities.

We liked being able to take a quick taxi to anywhere on the island, and then feel like we can escape back to our own private place of serenity whenever we wanted.

The food was very tasty, specializing in local Thai food with great western options also.

Highly recommend the BBQ night held down at Fishtails with an extraordinary buffet, live band and fire show.

We had Christmas Day lunch on the beach and it was delicious.

The quality of the food was very good with team always happy to adapt the dish to suit a gluten free diet.

The best compliment we can give is that the resort never felt over-crowded; the hotel manager and much of the staff have been at the hotel for 15+ years and the day-to-day operations seemed to run like clockwork, freeing up time for guests!

Mark the Hotel Manager was extremely attentive and he and the whole team impressed us no end.

but especially the staff and how they put attention to details.

Special mentions to Manuel (General Manager) and Mark (Hotel Manager) for taking the time to speak to us and to 'Mafia' the resort cat who was always greeting us with his Xmas collar on.

But it was the staff that stole the show with their kind and generous service.

Tiger was very helpful and it was great to see Manuel and Mark speaking with the guests.

I had Phad Thai and Half Chicken that was one of the best Phad Thai I have ever had.

The Thai food is one of the best I ever had, they had a mangosteen dinner meal that week and it was mind blowing.

Dining at the hotel’s restaurant, Po-Lad Beach Bistro & Bar, was a culinary journey that celebrated Thai and international flavors with a commitment to sustainable sourcing.

We did a lovely beach bbq one of the nights, a traditional Thai dance dinner another,  that was magical and movie night under the stars was also really special for the kids.

From a mouthwatering seafood barbecue one night to an unforgettable dinner of local Thai street food accompanied by a mesmerizing Thai dance performance, every meal was a delight.

With some interesting twists on some Thai classics, they also have a wide range of dishes to choose from to keep us going back.

Breakfast has a rich selection of fruits and juices (amazing and prepared fresh in real time), eggs, Thai dishes, breads and pastries.

Thai street food night was a lovely new addition, entertainment just right and happily sat drinking soaking it all up.

The Thai street food nights at Rhoy Rhoy were a lovely addition to each week, and the beach bbq on our first night was not to be missed.

The hotel also hosted a Thai street food buffet with Thai music and dancers which was another great experience.

Mark, the hotel manager, who I had already chatted to about cycling around Koi Samui did everything he could to assist with my wife and explaining how Thai processes work.

Here you will find a great variety of bars ,restaurants, Steakhouses ,Italian pasta / pizza  or Thai and Seafood speciality .

Fish tails offers a mixture of fusion and Thai fish, meat and vegetarian dishes and Rhoy Rhoy excellent Thai dishes; we highly recommend both restaurants.

The accommodation offered great views, is spacious and very comfortable.

but the sand was rocky, making it impossible to walk on, and the sea was very wavy too.

We had an amazing beachfront suite and felt very cared for in every way.

It took our breath away with the stunning scene of the resort.

We stayed in an ocean view beachfront suite, which is of good size.

The distance to Fishermans Village can be reached on foot across the beach or on the road in about 8 minutes.

Loved walking to Fisherman’s Village from resort we are enjoyed with the fireman show there, restaurants on the beach side, and cheap outlets on the other side.

From our room, to the surrounding gardens, the pool, the breakfast buffet, restaurant, views to the beach, and I could go on and on, it was all just simply wonderful!

Bo Phut beach area is quite ok. Whe you go deeper slimy stone does not feel nice.

Coco Tams is also a beach walk away with a nightly fire show at 7:30pm.

Fishermen’s Village is just a short walk down the beach where a variety of restaurants remain open.

but came back to the room with Happy Birthday written in individual flowers on the bed and a cake.

We told them in advance it was a special occasion and when we arrived in our beautiful room they had decorated our bed with flowers and given us some honeymoon cake, it was a nice touch!

The grounds are beautifully kept with lovely flowers and a little lake by the Thai Restaurant, the smell of jasmine is wonderful.

I didn’t have to think about placing signs, flowers, table plans etc as this was all dealt with and looked better than I could have imagined or suggested.

Aoom organised the priest, pergola on the beach, flowers, hair & makeup, clothes steamed & ironed, videographer, drinks, cake & music.

This is the 2nd time we have been now and we were welcomed with a bouquet of flowers, a basket of fruit, a bottle of wine,a scarf and another monkey to take home.

The rooms are set amongst lovely flowers and shrubs and the whole place is peaceful and quiet.

Arriving at the hotel shortly after, we glided through the hotel as my wife was handed a bouquet of flowers and garlands and were met with so many staff greeting us.

The flowers, beach location, service, food and DJ was just totally overwhelming.

The welcome back amenities included a large basket of fruit, bottle of wine, coconut water, cuddly toy, voucher towards dinner at their restuarant in the Fisherman's Village and a bouquet of flowers.

From the green gardens and blooming lotus flowers, to the spacious pool and relaxing beach, this resort is a quiet little gem for couples and families alike.

Our room was a garden villa which was worth every pound, the villa was beautiful , the welcome cake, wine, flowers on bed and the rose petal bath were all just so incredible especially after a very long journey from the uk.

wow what an amazing villa beautiful four poster bed with mosquito nets with comfortable mattress and quality linens,fresh flowers  gorgeous bathroom with quality fittings seperate bath and shower and tropical outlook with lush foliage in vases..fruit and water daily and an outside sitting area to have afternoon drinks.

Room service is a few times a day so the room is always lovely from fresh flowers and fresh fruit every day to the turn down service with lovely scented oil burners.

Our accommodation was in a garden villa which gave us space, comfort and a multitude of little extra touches such as small flowers left in the bathroom and the most Devine lemon grass oil burner left during the evening turndown service.

The rooms where beautiful,fresh flowers every day, beds with swans on etc , couldn't fault it !

We arrived to a beautiful greeting with flowers and a cute little cake in our room and a crazy cool floral display on the bed.

They knew I had stayed there before and all welcomed me "back home" - I even got a little flower arrangement as a welcome back gift.

I was very touched when the resort had noted that it was my birthday on the day I was leaving so they made a lovely ‘happy birthday ‘ display on my bed in flowers.

The staff are all excellent, the gardens are beautifully maintained and the rooms classic Thai style.

The resort itself is set among glorious tropical gardens with a great warm pool and right on the beach.

We stayed for 9 nights in a Deluxe Garden the room is very nice, fabulous bathroom.

Absolutely beautiful room, with very spaces, a lovely bathroom, and amazing furnish, we stayed at Deluxe Garden View, was nice.

We had two rooms with garden view next to each other.

The resort is set in a pretty Thai traditional garden setting, it's quiet & boutique style so you are not fighting for attention with the masses.

Our Garden Villa was beautifully spacious.

We stayed in a Garden Pool Villa and now I'm ruined for life as now I require my own pool on every trip ever.

We had a Delux Garden Room for our stay which was spacious and air conditioned and had a private balcony over looking the gardens.

Resort garden is very beautiful and all personal smiling all the time.

Despite some little things have been changed because of Corona, this hotel, it‘s location and architecture, it's garden design, the rooms, the villas and much more and last

I stayed with my partner in the garden Plunge Pool villa and it was really good.

Stayed in this little gem of a resort for 8 days in February 2020.If you want a chill out holiday with all the trimmings I & my wife would highly recommend this hotel.Staff were all so friendly,the breakfast to die for,could not do enough for you,beautiful gardens,will be back next year

The gardens are beautiful and the pool - right next to the beach - is stunning.The spacious breakfast area is next to the pool and has a range of inside, semi-enclosed and outside spaces.

The Hotel rooms and gardens are immaculate thanks to the hard work of the housemaids and gardeners.

From the lobby staff to the chambermaids and the gardener to the pool boy they are all so friendly.
