The only problem I always have in wintertime is that there is no possibility to change the temperature of the room if the heating is on.

When question why are the bills not acceptalbe, his response was the Bank of China will not accept defective bills.

Switching on aircon means switching on the heater instead and made the room very hot.

When we first arrived, we had to ask for help in cooling the room in that the thermostat was a little tricky to figure out.

Seemed random if the thermostat would work or not.

Check in and check out process was smooth and Giulia from the business lounge was an amazing host.

Taking into account the price paid, a very good choice to stay for business .

I have been coming to Changzhou for over 18 years on business and this Shangri-La La/ Traders Hotel was always on my top 2 facilities in the city.

We stayed in the Traders Fudu for 5 nights on a business trip and were overwhelmed by how friendly and supportive all the staff were as well as the quality of food and restaurants they had available, there were also many other foreign business people at this hotel which made it feel a little more homely.

The service in the club lounge on the 31st floor is flawless!

Most importantly, the food that was supposed to be hot was hot and the food that was supposed to be cold was cold.

At this time, it is always difficult to get a cab; especially if it is raining or cold.

The only minus is that is a bit cold in the lobby in winter time.

She then brought me a glass of ice tee, all I wanted was a cold beer.

However, what annoys me very much was that the hotel switched off air conditioning because it’s “cold season”.

I would highly recommend to join the Executive lounge, Giulia is very welcoming and friendly.

entertainment, entainters need more upbeat in the song,  it can't be all slow song that can put you to sleep and a waiter/ bar tender suggesting a bottle because it was already opened is not a good idea because it turns out to be a bad red wine.

Two things that I have to complain was that the check in process was a bit slow.

but there is old school wired internet which is fine (slow, but on par with the speed I get in other hotels in china).

The only thing that lets the hotel down, as a 5* is that they allow smoking in the lobby bar.

Worst thing was a smell of cigarette smoke in the corridors and the room.

The shower was not the cleanest either and the grout needing a good scrubbing to remove the mold build up.

but that wouldn't really help the smell of smoke all over the place.

Let me mention Gina mainly working in coffee garden, she is the most caring person in whole hotel, perfect English and very funny.

I went to the lobby lunch with my wife and we share a great time there with a good atmosphere and nice service,especially Alisa that was very kind and always smiling,I recommend to try the tea and the Mexican menu that was very tasty

They really looked after our needs and served great food with their amazing smiles!

I booked the club floor and so we had access to the club lounge as well.

I would like to say a special THANKS to Grace, one of the staff member at horizon club.

We booked a club room for 2 nights and were very impressed by Yuki and Vivian who went out of their way to help us.

Happy hour is a war zone on club floor, zero food left, 3 minutes after they did replacement, exactly same on next morning breakfast.

I would recommend improving the food in the main restaurant and VIP club.

At the moment, this Hotel is exceptional value as you can book a "Horizon Club" room for much less than £100 per night and this entitles you to a free buffet breakfast and cocktails each evening in the Lounge.

The Horizon Club on the 17th floor offers private dining and happy hour (or three) each evening with complimentary food and drink.

Staff at the Horizon Club Lounge, viz Ashley Han, Cindy Liu and Missy Liu are helpful, friendly and considerate.

They definitely recruit and train really well at the Shangri La, and you will struggle to find the same level of service in almost all other hotels.

The cabinets are dirty and smells horrible.

However, as I entered into it, it smelled the same.

Very well located with the best shopping mall in town nearby, a lot of good restaurants around and mainly the famous Quanjude.

Perfect for business, it is located in the heart of the shopping district with a great shopping mall nearby.

The good news is that the hotel  is next door to the Wanda center, which is an indoor mall and outdoor shopping street with a huge array of excellent restaurants and shops.

It is close to the Wanda shopping mall, which has restaurants, shopping, cinema and a wall mart.

The location is next to the Wanda Mall which is good for a day

The property is next to the Wanda Mall which has a variety of restaurants, shopping and Walmart if you are thrifty and want to buy food and or drinks there instead of at the hotel.

Wanda Plaza means big shoping mall (international brands) and many options for lunch/dinner.

I believe this hotel is relatively new, it looks new & it is quite a nice hotel being well appointed and close to an adjacent Wanda shopping Mall around the corner for restaurants & shopping.

They have a lot of shops inside the mall and outside of the mall.

Located at Wanda plaza, the hotel is in the Xinbei district, steps from shopping, food and business.

Arrived late in the evening, the supposedly non-smoking room still strongly smelled of cold cigarette smoke in the entrance region, stinging eyes.

There were some tiny problems in the first room I got, like a strong smell and bad air-conditioner.

One time my wife was bitten by some nasty insect; one of the staff members brought us to the hospital and stayed with us the whole time to ensure we were all right.

I think they can improve the smell in the corridors and the noise reduction in the rooms.

Another colleague of mine had a non-smoking room

all over the carpet, some mildew in corners of the shower.

But smokers have to pay attention: The cigarettes they sell in the bar are way too expensive, better buy some packs outside the Hotel!

The western fare is also large with varieties of cold cut, smoke salmon, cheese along with the hot selection such as egg, bacon, sausage, potato.

Unfortunately, the constant opening of doors to the outside allowed nasty little mosquitoes to enter the restaurant.

I asked the hotel GSM for fruit，but he never gave it to me.The GSM of the hotel（David）’behaved like a three-star hotel receptionist, which was very sick.

Great place, welcoming impeccable services, thorough knowledge of English and friendliness throughout, very kind staff is available, I had the opportunity to meet the ALI ARFAT  manager who made me feel like I was at home, very professional and impeccable in his work,  the restaurant and the staff have fulfilled my every request regarding the food and have been very attentive to the fact of intolerances and allergies on the dishes, I noticed some big changes after the arrival of wings and I hope that I sheraton goes on with  this route!

Visited changzhou and stay in Sheraton xinbei early this month during my business trip and had wonderful experience, staff was very generous and cooperative, room was very clean and tidy, as well restaurant.
