I enjoyed my solo stay at the president hotel , friendly staff, excellent service and the location is central making it very easy to get around, I would definitely visit again and I would highly recommend the place.

The staff were friendly and with its close proximity to a City Sightseeing Red Tourist bus stop we were able to drop our bags off and start sightseeing straight away.

All the staff are very friendly and efficient.

Our daughter loves the pool area - it makes for a great family gettaway.

Checkin is 14.00 so you have to leave your bags with reception until  then which is not a problem as you can relax by pool area and enjoy a bite to eat or cocktail.

The location - pool area and rooms are spot on.

You will not be sorry by giving them a visit for drinks, lunch or enjoying the pool area, etc.

We have been to quite a few hotel and holiday destinations in the Western Cape During Covid (mainly to keep our children entertained) and our stay at the President Hotel was by far, the most disappointing and disgusting.

Room facility is limited, tv has very few channels, carpets old with stains in the corridors, room smelt like smoke, lock on door not working.

Only suggestions: Floor cleaner used does leave a sticky residue which should be seen to.

!, Pity management didn't step up to apologise 😳.breakfast stale pastries and cold meats old!!!

It smelled mold the further down you came.

The only slight issue was the amount of chlorine in the pool, it gave 2 of our sons a nasty rash.

The bathroom is terrible, no water comes out from the showe and it stinks.

Your drain was blocked its overflowing with Crap .The stench and the mess is seeping out of the bathroom.

please do something about the smell in the toilets off the main lobby its so bad i couldn't breath in there men toilet high pitch pee smell never had a smell of pee that strong in my life for a hotel of that level

The only draw back is the smoking area or lack there of bcoz i found myself in the pouring rain and also you have to go downstairs and its like the furthest point you have to walk

The room smell was not good and The corridors were not so nice .

The rooms were also very dated and smelled like cigarette smoke.

Staff were very attentive and really good with kids.

It will be great if staff will take service delivery serious and try to deliver on promises made on paper/ website.

Please train your staff to treat everyone equally the same regardless of their race.

Room size is larger than what we had previously experienced a week ago in Durban and I was lucky to get a Lions Head view that following morning that blew my mind away.

but when that got canceled we still wanted to come to enjoy the President and beautiful Cape Town.

Cape Town is such a huge tourist destination .

It was our second anual trip on business to Cape Town.

I always stayed at the President Hotel when I used to visit Cape Town more regularly in the past.

Keep working on customer service and satisfaction.I must say i had the best stay in Cape Town the your Hotel .

They do state they offer the best breakfast in Cape Town and they weren’t wrong with that statement.

The President was my Cape Town home again for 7 nights and it was a pleasure to be back.

Our favorite trip to Cape Town so far - the friendly staff were an absolute highlight for us, the location is absolutely beautiful and the hotel rooms / facilities were amazing - a two minute walk away from the Atlantic seaboard promenade which is incredible for early morning or evening walks

but didn't get anywhere - we've had to postpone the whole thing a year due to Covid and I wrote off several of the extras.

However, two days before we were due to travel, there was the starting of lockdowns in both the UK and South Africa.

What could be improved:
-parking is super small spaces (actually, I do not know how this could be improved due to how the place is built).

The second night we got no sleep due to a faulty air condition unit outside our window.

We had to mention Phil who spent about two hours of his day off to help us book new flights when our airline cancelled on us the day before we were due to fly!

but when we arrived we were encouraged to switch to a room in the main hotel and told that we would not be able to use the jacuzzi anyway due to neighbour complaints (see the review by Paul 11-1-17, so it is probably the truth).

Sadly, I booked one of the smallest rooms due to availability

Please arrange for an extra space for guest toiletries to avoid the incident involving breaking guest personal products due to lack of safe space.

Spent two marvelous nights at the Glen Hotel, where the staff are truly friendly and professional and offered the best 5 star service … I enjoyed the magnificent breakfast and a wonderful treatment at the spa … truly affordable and luxurious… I would highly recommended a longer stay

The room ( we had room 3 ) was fantastic, very big and comfortable with a lovely on-suite, a balcony overlooking the pool area.

The pool area was clean and well maintained, and staff very attentive.

The property itself is gorgeous and pool area is an ideal place to unwind with a relaxing choice of music, comfortable deck chairs, and an eviable view of the pool and scenery.

Pool area is relaxing and the food is excellent especially the breakfast.

The pool area was lovely - sunbeds and towels available throughout the day.

Breakfast buffet is very good every day, the pool area is nice and well kept.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel, on the one hand this place is nice, the staff are friendly and always ready to help, the rooms are spacious and welcoming, pool area is pleasant, breakfast was good and sets you up for the day.

And this reflected in his staff which are a credit to him, if you want a lovely chilled out relaxing hotel where nothing is too much trouble then this is the one for you!

We 100% recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to The Cape Town area.

when we returned Ashley found us a room to chill and shower in before our flight home and offered us water - all this after we’d checked out some two days earlier!

button would get stuck with water constantly running - not ideal when CT is experiencing a drought!

Do close the shower door tightly otherwise water spills out.

The cleaning staff didn't leave us any water - and we asked if that was normal with hotel policy, the reply was no

Parts of the room needs bit of TLC, basic things like the towel rail was coming off, the bathroom door hinge was loose and in a place where water is at shortage I was surprised that the shower had a leak.

The water was never hot - wanted to take a bath and it was just luke warm water and showers too - never got hot water and the second thing was during our meals we had 4-5 waiters constantly coming over to us and asking if we've ordered which was a disturbance so I do think they should assign tables

I had a problem with the hot water a couple of days before my visit came to an end.

I was on the top floor, Room 23, and the shower firstly lacked pressure and secondly suffered from varying temperature, I assume as other guests drew water in their rooms.

First, the water boiling system is terrible: in suite 8 where we stayed, you can only have hot showers in the morning (after a whole night of water boiling and no consumption); of course this is not something they tell you at first (let alone you would expect from a 4 star), so for two evenings in a row we had COLD SHOWERS before going out to dinner (definitely something we did not need when it was 10 degrees outside). Second, housekeeping: one afternoon we arrived to our room to find two (not small!)

The only negative I'd have is that the pool water was freezing!

He pick us up at 4am to shark dive in Gaansbai (2 hours away), packed the car with water and pillows for our long drive and encouraged us to sleep the ride in preparation to the shark encounter ( shark diving capital of the world).

An annoyance was on one day of our visit a city water piped had busted.

We had hot water issues for the duration of our stay

We had a beautiful decorated room with a wonderful terrace (yes with sun beds for lazy days), superb breakfast each morning by the fireplace, and a drink in the evening at the cozy bar talking to the staff; Karin, Godfrey and Riano about today’s adventure.

The rooms are beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean & simply stunning.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and our rooms were incredibly well-thought-out and wonderfully equipped with everything we could need.

Beautifully decorated rooms and our view / balcony was such a treat.

Beautiful interior - I had the most amazing and luxurious stay at Blackheath Lodge.

Yes they had and they were so kind to show our the room: a loft style 2 bedroom appartement, soooo beautiful and clean and nicely decorated.

Our room was very spacious, nicely decorated , with a small balcony and a good sized shower room.

As a returning local, now living in Europe, I was looking for a central yet peaceful and secure location with beautiful aesthetics and a personal touch.

It will be very hard to beat the hospitality and atmosphere of your wonderful establishment.

The area of the accommodation is serene and attractive.

The Hotel was very cozy and the people lovely.

The sitting area of the lodge is so beautifully decorated that we actually ordered dinner in one night so we could enjoy some drinks and play cards downstairs because we wanted to spend time there.
