It was quiet, clean and the breakfast was OK. We had the mountain rather than the sea view,

The hotel restaurant  had a  varied delicious menu which was well- priced with a good wine selection.

We enjoyed all the facilities as well as the delicious breakfast.

Breakfast was amazing and the overall atmosphere was great.

The Breakfast was great the view we had from our room was fantastic, I just wish that we could have stayed longer.

They do state they offer the best breakfast in Cape Town and they weren’t wrong with that statement.

The location is perfect for long morning walks along the seafront, and we enjoyed the breakfasts and swimming in the pool very much.

The breakfast is a delight and something to look forward to every morning as there are always subtle variations.

but the breakfasts were good and the omelette chef needs a special mention for giving us an eggcellent start to the day.

Everything was fine: view, enough space, comfortable bed, modern bathroom, WIFI without problems, superb breakfast, good location, excellent staff.

Our daughter loves the pool area - it makes for a great family gettaway.

Checkin is 14.00 so you have to leave your bags with reception until  then which is not a problem as you can relax by pool area and enjoy a bite to eat or cocktail.

The location - pool area and rooms are spot on.

You will not be sorry by giving them a visit for drinks, lunch or enjoying the pool area, etc.

the locaton of the room and they were busy painting the rooms next to us , paint smells all night was terrible !!!

They came to fix it, and then left a horrible smell which surrounded the flat for a day.

In the morning while moving the mattress back we noticed how filthy the mattress was , drink stains and the edges of the mattress were brown.

however unsatisfied with the noise level and odour.

should be more Designated smoking areas though.

We have been to quite a few hotel and holiday destinations in the Western Cape During Covid (mainly to keep our children entertained) and our stay at the President Hotel was by far, the most disappointing and disgusting.

Room facility is limited, tv has very few channels, carpets old with stains in the corridors, room smelt like smoke, lock on door not working.

Only suggestions: Floor cleaner used does leave a sticky residue which should be seen to.

!, Pity management didn't step up to apologise 😳.breakfast stale pastries and cold meats old!!!

Only the food good, the standards have slipped at this hotel

No disinfectant used to clean the property (Not COVID-19 ready)

Avoid this hotel as it has slipped in standard and derived by the staff

It smelled mold the further down you came.

The only slight issue was the amount of chlorine in the pool, it gave 2 of our sons a nasty rash.

The bathroom is terrible, no water comes out from the showe and it stinks.

Your drain was blocked its overflowing with Crap .The stench and the mess is seeping out of the bathroom.

please do something about the smell in the toilets off the main lobby its so bad i couldn't breath in there men toilet high pitch pee smell never had a smell of pee that strong in my life for a hotel of that level

The only draw back is the smoking area or lack there of bcoz i found myself in the pouring rain and also you have to go downstairs and its like the furthest point you have to walk

The room smell was not good and The corridors were not so nice .

The rooms were also very dated and smelled like cigarette smoke.

Hope to have a better experience if ever we decide to visit again.

Room size is larger than what we had previously experienced a week ago in Durban and I was lucky to get a Lions Head view that following morning that blew my mind away.

but when that got canceled we still wanted to come to enjoy the President and beautiful Cape Town.

Cape Town is such a huge tourist destination .

It was our second anual trip on business to Cape Town.

I always stayed at the President Hotel when I used to visit Cape Town more regularly in the past.

Keep working on customer service and satisfaction.I must say i had the best stay in Cape Town the your Hotel .

The President was my Cape Town home again for 7 nights and it was a pleasure to be back.

This was a great base for our time in Cape Town.

even though I live in Cape Town because it’s absolutely beautiful.

Our favorite trip to Cape Town so far - the friendly staff were an absolute highlight for us, the location is absolutely beautiful and the hotel rooms / facilities were amazing - a two minute walk away from the Atlantic seaboard promenade which is incredible for early morning or evening walks

As others have mentioned, perfect location in the Waterfront area - we felt very safe during our stay and had lots of options for dinner in the evening.

Stunning hotel, ideally located at the waterfront and slide to all the main attractions.

The location is great for the waterfront area.

Its position at the end of the V&A Waterfront complex was beautiful to watch the activity on the water,

The hotel is an ideal location on the V & A Waterfront, near to the restaurants, tourist activities, Great result for me in that the shopping mall was only an escalator away -fab!!

The hotel is beautiful and regal-looking and is located on the waterfront near restaurants and tourist activities.

Restaurant on site with the largest breakfast buffet I have ever seen.

The Table Bay offers an expansive buffet breakfast each day, and it’s great to start your day off so well.

And what can you say about the most spectacular breakfast buffet my wife and I have ever seen in 40 years of travel.

Breakfast is delicious, there is usually a 5 minute wait

although I can’t comment on lunch and dinner in the restaurant, I must say that in all my years of travel all over the world, I have never seen a better, more extensive breakfast buffet.

We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning.

The concierge desk was extraordinary as was the breakfast buffet, fit for a king.

We were joined by little birds from outside which added some entertainment to breakfast.

The rooms and bathrooms are well equipped and spacious, and the choice of items at breakfast time is impressive.

Breakfast was amazing .. salmon, oysters and bubbly - who could ask for more  ?

We really loved the breakfast buffet- excellent selection, with great specialty coffees and a wonderful omelette station.

The Table Bay Hotel has the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel - everything from omelette, to warm croissants to a juice and yogurt bar.

Breakfast buffet had a good variety and was very tasty.

Breakfast at the hotel is excellent and the service is good.

Understandably as the buffet is very popular with locals as well as guests.

The bad - hotel is tired (needs a serious upgrade), hallways dirty on some floors (peeling paint on floors, scuffed doors), Impossible to shower (had to bath) - water goes from scalding hot to cold and vice versa while showering, received inappropriate call at 10pm from bar asking me to close out my bill before they could shut down for the night - despite the fact that (i) I closed out the bill when I left the bar at 6, (ii) they had funds on file from me, (iii) they had my credit card.

Seriously, if you're charging obscene prices, the least you can do is provide things that work and not expect a guest to complain to make that happen.

The electronic key card would work once and only once requiring a trip to the front desk for every exit and entrance.

Either fill the fridge or get rid of the menu card.

Our room,502, one of the hotels best where a number of faults existed including a shower door which never closed properly flooding the bathroom every day and electrical charging points which were so poorly fitting I didn’t have the confidence to use them.Our final bill was wrong as another guests drinks had been charged to our room and despite we were spending several thousand pounds on our stay nothing was done to resolve the issue so after 8 visits to Cape Town it’s time to find a new 5 star hotel.

Just realized they charged us for in room dining which was not us.

It's the little things that matter, the thing that offended me most of all was being charged 20 Rand for a jug of milk after paying for a four night stay!!! !

but i will speak to my general manager and he would help in sorting out this problem and please share with me your credit card details to refund.

However, on checking out we were charged for the breakfast

but disappointed that the management was not prepared to demonstrate customer goodwill on the upgrade room charge.

Not acceptable and very easy for someone / the hotel to fraudulently charge to my credit card without my authorisation.

but major, criticism was the exorbitant charge for a 2 1/2 hour extension to the 12:00 midday check-out time - I was billed 2,982 Rand ( £172.44 ) for this - I can only assume that this was an error and I will be taking it up with their Management.

Only later on, in the late afternoon, I went downstairs and found another manager who understood my request and decided to fix it by reversing the 500 Rand charge.

He was not amused . On arrival at the hotel the charge was 40 Rans (!!!!)

As per the T&Cs, 1-night deposit had been deducted from my credit card to secure the room at the time of the booking.

Unfortunately, I figured this out after several hotel charges.

but on my way back he literally blocked the exit and requested for my resident card again!!

However I do object to this being achieved by operating this once Classical Hotel in the same manner as a Three Star Hotel and still charging Five Star rates.

Spoke to someone on the phone and a porter came up.

The waiting staff were often hidden behind the coffee counter, on their phones.

The reception would take ages to answer the phone.

If you decide to extend your stay for a day and have asked to keep the same room for that separate extra booking, be prepared to receive an angry call from a member of the staff asking you to leave after 12 pm when your original stay ends.

Then someone rang to ask if I was expecting 2 bags. Nope.

We had to ring the housekeeping quite a lot of times.

but also nothing happened- no wake up call on these two days.

After a week hotel still did not contact guest to let them know process and had to call to find out what was happening.

If that was me the second thing I would do would be ring bar area and get them to clear empty drinks trays.

Upon checking out my sister realises there was a phone call made from my room 238 totaling R14 to a cellphone number.

There are kinks though: I once called for water, and it took 3 phone calls and 40 minutes to bring water.

If you are driving yourself and unfamiliar with the area, we had a lot of trouble finding the entrance - Google and Apple Maps led us astray so be aware of that - maybe call in advance for specific instructions.

We then received an early morning call at 5am which we hadn't requested - there was no proper apology.

but watch out for pick pockets around the Waterfront don't get involved with people especially if they "say take my photo" or "nice shoes" you phone will be gone before you know it.

Check in was good-room service-very bad-I had to call three times to remind them(on whatever I wanted) which is very unfair-I have stayed in a 3 star hotel and the service is better than what I received here at a 5 star hotel which is not cheap-did I get bad service because am a single black woman paying for myself???

The phone call the receptionist made in a hushed voice (not sure if she was speaking English), and the furtive glances made me suspicious.

Some little issues with wake up calls (they did not come so set your own)

It was so convenient to have an entire shopping mall, a wharf area buzzing with activities, local shops and cuisine and some of the finest restaurants in the city just outside our hotel.

Very handy location close to great restaurants and attached to the mall so all shopping needs are catered for.

We were in Cape Town as first-time visitors and wanted a walkable location and the convenience of a huge shopping mall located next door (actually connected with an interior walkway).

The hotel is connected to a shopping mall with lots of premier shopping.

Total luxury at a hotel right on the Waterfront, with direct access to the main shopping mall.

It was a short walk to restaurants in the V and A waterfront and the hotel is connected to the shopping mall.

A large shopping mall is literally attached to the hotel (a hallway up an escalator from the lobby leads right into the mall), with stores ranging from very high end (top level, nearest the hotel) to a gigantic supermarket (basement level, far end of the mall), and everything in between (including lots of restaurants ranging from a food court to upscale dining).

It's a truly wonderful, traditional hotel set in the dock area with easy access to all the restaurants and hotels and, of course, easy access to the shopping mall.

Escalator takes you straight into shopping mall and the buzz of the harbour area where there are lots of places to eat.

Ideally situated for all the restaurants/ tours and main shopping mall.

Two more treats, the pool deck and heated pool and the huge upscale shopping mall next door.

A brilliant location joined to a large shopping mall and just a few minutes to the waterfront activities.

The hotel provides direct access to the Table Bay Mall shopping.

Bear the mall which allows for shopping anytime and different places you can visit from there..

The hotel is next door to a big shopping mall and the marina where many tours operate from.

The hotel has an entrance that links it to the shopping mall in the V&A.

The hotel is wonderful with a high end shopping mall attached to it.

Table Bay was the perfect launching site for our trip, and we highly recommend it if you need a place to stay in Cape Town, this is the hotel.

Can't recommend this hotel enough for your Cape Town base.

I am sure you will find that the Table Bay a great choice for your stay in Cape Town.
