We had lunch when we arrived and finished the next morning with a lovely breakfast.

The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious.

We could find no fault with our comfortable and well appointed room and the breakfast was excellent.

I couldn't have been better looked after by Poppie and Billy from perfect breakfast omelettes to a most comfortable bed and to organising melon free fruit salad!

Just be careful when driving out of the Hotel as as the main road is busy.

The car exit and entrance is located in a very busy road and therefore makes it difficult to exit during rush hour.

To be busy typing on your mobile while a client is talking not even looking and go to the extent of telling the client that you are multitasking is rather odd and rude

but be very carefull when crossing as it is a very busy road even late into the night.

Attend to the flies during breakfast and allow the guest to eat properly without continuously removing plates while they are eating.

Our tea tray wasn't refilled and only 2 fresh towels were placed in our room the next day.

The staff at the hotel failed to monitor the coffee, plates, etc.

There was no cups, no milk, no cutlery at breakfast and it took them forever to sort it out.

At least people like me who don't eat bacon, eggs and sausages were well covered during breakfast with variety of vegetarian dishes.

Pork had an unpleasant smell on the plate, it was not surprising when it had aftertaste.

Centrally located with pick n pay hypermarket across the road, banks and ATMs and restaurants and fast food all within walking distance.The room was pleasant and you don't have to run off cold water for 10 mins to have a hot shower as South Africa is currently experiencing drought.

Impressed the hotel was centrally located for most embassies.

The hotel is centrally located and highly recommended if you wish to visit the nearby universities and embassies.

The location is right in the centre of the town with numerous (fast food) restaurants nearby.

Also there seemed to be construction going on outside in the under ground parking facilities.

There is lots of construction going on so maybe things will improve later.

If we had known that the hotel was 
under construction, then we would have booked elsewhere.

There was a lot of coming and going in the corridor and a lot of noise, both from within the hotel and nearby construction.

At present avoid rooms which are on the construction (Hatfield square) there is also a club so best to avoid it if you need a goodnight's rest.

The hotel is beautiful, in the heart of Pretoria, close to shopping malls and plenty of restaurants nearby the hotel to sample.

The rooms have a nice bathroom, comfortable beds, tv, A.C. and Wi-Fi the restaurant attached to this hotel has great food and service.

The location is great as you have restaurants right next to the hotel, The staff were excellent

This hotel is well placed and has a lot of restaurants and places of interest around.

Very clean rooms, hotel is closer to amenities and a vast choice of restaurants to eat from if one does not prefer hotel dining.

At the 3rd floor there is a nice restaurant, food at the hotel was really good-quality even if much more expensive compared to the closest restaurants.

The noise from the student Accomodation was unbearable.

Every morning for 10 days at @7:00am we are awaken by a hammering/banging sound.

Not for those wanting tranquility as it is situated in a busy area and the hotel was rather noisy during my stay.

But for now the sounds and smells of construction are there.

3 is noisy because of restaurant & street traffic.

We were abruptly awakened at just pass 7am to the sound of jackhammers and other construction equipment at work.

but we were disappointed to not be able to have Wifi (either in the room nor in the lobby), to find Noisy work in the restaurant at lunchtime, that the swimmingpool was very very small..

I also did not sleep well because there was a very loud and constant mechanical noise.

Finding the entry to the parking is difficult due to buses, taxis, bill boards and traffic distracting you.

Being woken up constantly while other guest slam doors, talk so loudly they were heard in the cape and than had a party along with a strong BO smell on bedding are some of the pleasures awaiting me for my stay.

But you could hear noise from the other rooms and conversations in the hallways.

The area being a student center is rather noisy over weekends,

And the noise level went from OK to loud.

(I hear rooms on the other side of the hallway are larger).

In just one block there were at least 12 of them standing right in the middle of the lanes, refusing to move out of the way of oncoming traffic and forcing the driver to doge around them.

but when he goes back to the hotel he need the quietness.

The complimentary van was a thoughtful gesture and the location was perfect- quiet, clean and walking distance from the university I was training at, and the shopping malls.

I think I would try the Fire and Ice Protea next time, especially as it is close to Menlyn and the amazing shopping mall.

There is a small shopping mall across from the hotel and the street is lined with restaurants.

On the plus side: Location is good: in a safe area with plenty of affordable restaurants and opposite a small shopping mall.

You can walk to fastfood places, bars and even a few better restaurants without hassle, a small shopping mall is right opposite and the Gautrain Pretoria Station just a few minutes drive with the hotel shuttle.

I was checked into an extremely small room(but then again all Protea rooms are that small).

The rooms are so small and have to go through the restaurant because my room was at the third floor.

The room was small with paint bubbling on walls and was down the end of a long narrow corridor. .

The room is very small, which wasn't great when we were travelling with two large suitcases

This is a typical city hotel, tight parking, small rooms, tight corridors and small bar and dining room.

The little fridge was quite loud so I couldn't decide whether it was due to the age of the fridge or the fact that fridge was too close to the bed due to cramped tiny room.

but this one's rooms are very small and cramped.

Could be better: the rooms are small (think Amsterdam small).

The Hotel is just average, the rooms are small it's like you in a prison cell.
