They have run over to a restaurant to change my reservation when they weren’t picking up the phone.

The rooftop pool is so small I would call it a hot tub.

Actually from front desk through door man we felt a bit of attitude, there are something about this hotel I’d call ‘meanness’… clearly represented by the concierge guy.

I advise them over the phone and they supply us with something to plug into an outlet that kills then off.

On my second night the room next door was very loud on the balcony at 3 am and I had to call the reception to warn them for a multiple times.

When I asked her why she didn’t call me to tell me of her newly decided change of mind, she said she decided to wait until checkout.

however it would have been nice to have a kettle and some coffee in the room so we could have had a quick brew without ringing for room service.

there was a shuttle service to the beach and you could call them to pick you up.

We asked one day to be put on a waiting list and called in our room once a shaded area became available and no one bothered to call.

My husband was trying to arrange a surprise present for me from Chanel, unfortunately you can't purchase over the phone and they only had one left in the whole of Europe.

I made a phone call down to the concierge and requested a dinner reservation.

Sure enough the internet did not work and I had to go down to the lobby to answer some emails and a skpe call that I needed to make.

but on the 14th of July I had arranged to be picked up from Nikki beach in the afternoon and the rude staff at Nikki beach said they tried calling the hotel to arrange for pick up and the hotel said they would not be able to due to traffic.

The room directories were incomplete and we had to keep calling Reception for basic information.

Avoid this hotel at all your cost (especially fellow Americans)!

I will never come back to this property, will advise anyone from staying there as I am sure for the price point you are paying there are much better options in the area.

It definitely did not live up to our expectations or reflect the price tag.

Only drawback was the room which was very small - especially given the expensive rates we were paying in peak season.

And overall, things were unjustly expensive: I realise this is St. Tropez and is riddled with the super rich,

I know there are more expensive and more luxurious hotels in St Tropez.

I highly suggest no one stays here unless they like motel service at 5 star prices.

but the basic room is far too expensive (700euros) to be a 20m squared room with limited storage options.

Breakfast is not included and expensive (35 euro/person).

Bar was understated if not a little expensive and cant comment on food as I ate out.

but the price is not justified in my opinion

At a cost of 200 euros, I found it completely unacceptable.

On another occasion, Nicolas the hotel manager, personally walked a guest into the village to make sure they found the obscure photo location they were looking for, and personally paid for their items, as they did not have the proper currency on them at the time.

The hotel offers parking that considered the location is not very expensive.

but this didn't not compensate for the experience we had or overall cost of the stay.

Parking fees are €35,00 per night, which can get expensive if staying longer than a few days.

The room was very clean; linens and towels were high quality and sleep was very comfortable.

Secondly is the room cleanliness and speed of service that we experience in the midst of a busy season .Impeccable cleanliness and superb housekeeping and room service .

I had a wonderful and relaxing experience with a spotless room, amazing breakfast and great drinks by the rooftop pool.

The room has a clean feel to it, the bathroom is spacious and all the bathroom amenities is by Clarins, as it is the spa of the hotel.

We stayed on the 2nd floor in a nice clean room with a little view out to the harbour.

The bed was extremely comfortably, fluffy pillows, fresh crisp linen, spotless room with consistency, night service with turn down and attention to detail in aspects of the hotel.

When I got to my room it was very very small.

The room assigned to us was this tiny room with the only window looking over the next door bldg which is few meters away (making the room very dark)  So we asked if they can move us to better situated room in the same room category for the next 2 nights.

The only real problem is how small the rooms are.

The only thing we thought that was negative was the  rooms are on the small side.

but small with no real wow factor and small rooms.

our room was a bit small, and for more than $1000 per night, I would expect quality similar to PLAZA ATHENE OR 4 SEASONS GEORGE V in paris!

We were shown a tiny room (classic - $900US) with views of a cement wall and noise from the busy main street below.

but the hotel wasn’t cooperative at all and forced us to pay the full amount for 9 nights, although we stayed only for 3 days and left.

but paying a premium for St Tropez and being exposed to this is not fair.

but we felt it was a bit expensive even for hotel food so we didn't try it.

But - after spending 2 days in St. Tropez - and seeing how expensive things are - I guess it was a good deal too.

But that is not what makes St. Tropez so exclusive or why you pay the quite steep price tag.

Moreover if you pretend to be very luxurious hotel,  clients should be allowed to take 10 baths a day if they wish to, I think that the price covers the water costs!

But I would have rather paid more and had more comfort  and a restaurant .

I forgot something in our room and they sent it to me immediately (costs were taken from the Villa Cosy).

Outdoor spaces are a delight, peaceful and picturesque, the rooms clean and equipped with all amenities, and the food so yummy!

Stayed with my wife for 5 days March / April 22, very clean rooms, lovely pool and spa close to the town centre.

We go to Villa Cosy every year and we'll definitely return as beyond a superb location close to the center this boutique hotel has everything you can look for: clean rooms, a beautiful decor creating a relaxing atmosphere, excellent food & drinks service all day long at the room or by the pool, and a new luxury spa.

However, the poor points did not distract too much from our stay, just 'room for improvement'.

We came to this area understanding that sometimes you can receive a cold welcome unless not English or poor.

The beds are large and comfortable only let down by a limited number of pillows of poor quality.

But when we tried, we were notified by the mixologist that if we drank our own champagne by the pool he would have to charge us a fee.

however in room dining and wine card could be better.

although we were informed it was included, the charge of about £70 per day was added to our bill.

We then had to handover our passports, car keys, credit card - which felt a bit like being taken into police custody - and may say something about the nature of guests' behaviour in and around St Tropez?!

but upon check out we were charged 78 euro.

The extra bottle of drinking water is charged too.

Some examples of why this wasn't 5 star for us: I’m disappointed that we were never informed of the complimentary breakfast at check-in, we would have loved that and felt very cheated by missing out on it while paying the high rate we did.

With the high price they charged, we would expect a more spacious room.

and believe me, i´m used to pay high prices for Hotels since years all over the world.

After we waited for what seemed like forever, they told us they found a room for us for the first 2 nights at a much higher price,

the room rates  and the service given are not compatible at all !

Room Service food is heated up pasta which is really a joke for this price category of Rooms!

The general lighting system will be a more difficult and expensive fix.

We did not eat at the hotel - it was expensive and the restaurant, inside, was not that appealing.

Prices were not as astronomical as one might think.

The only negative point I'd make is the over-inflated cost of drinks and breakfast.

The only minor quip is the prices for food & drink by the pool and bar are a little high-

The only - point are te price of the cocktails.

Just make sure you understand the room rates.

so i think, i´ve to look maybe for another hotel around saint tropez during the euofestival 2016, which i will definitivly join, because even in saint-tropez i´ll get more for the same price.

I strongly recommend go for more expensive room - it is much much better, hard to explain, just believe me.

The hotel and room were so clean and well maintained.

The pool is private and never over busy, the rooms are so clean with great walk in showers both inside and outside, nespresso machine, bluetooth speaker, great mini bar, very spacious with nice out side seating area.

The Rooms are impeccable, OK since this is a Design Hotel sometimes Design are put over practicability

Having spend a fair bit of time in St Tropez, one is never surprised by high prices,

It is a small building off the the side of the main hotel that looks as if it may have been used as a garden shed in it's day and has now been converted into an extra hotel room, at 200 euro a night it is priced much higher than the standard rooms in the main hotel building.

), pretty stylish and very clean rooms, attention to detail; comfy bed and pillows even chocolate on pillows, all sound proof rooms with pretty white French shutters keeping out the morning sun allowing for big sleep ins. !

We stayed at the cheaper rooms.. 2nd floor facing the street,,, You will hear noise because it is a busy street be prepared.

We stayed in the least expensive room category on the 2nd floor on the street side.

Our room was small and there were no tea / coffee facilities or fridge or make up mirror.

Some people may think that the rooms are a little on the small side for the price,

The room was also quite small and some days I questioned how well our bathroom was being cleaned.

unfortunately only a very small room was left to be booked.

Moreover; while we were there we discovered that this hotel is on a super busy street in Saint Tropez with cars and motorcycles driving by all night.

It’s not very clear from the images online that it’s so close to a petrol station and it’s on a busy, main road so cars can see directly into the room meaning you need to keep the curtains shut for privacy and so your view of the water is limited.

even though some of them face a busy road.

which is priceless as Saint Tropez can be extremely busy during summer!

but there was a busy road out front so was really noisy all night with the traffic outside.

but if you had a 'sea view' room you are right on the main road which has busy noisy traffic all night.

but this turned out to be a view of sea (nice), petrol station (not nice) and busy main road (noisy).

With the lovely sea view pictures on the website - it fails to tell you that between the hotel and this view the hotel is on the very busy main road into St Tropez.

The shower was broken, the water was dripping form it quite loudly, and the water drain was broken too - water stayed under the shower for next 30+ minutes etc.

but still at the side in St Tropez so that you don't have to stand in traffic to pass the town.

If you plan to stay there, it's best to avoid the rooms with 'sea view', because these are at the side of the main road to enter Saint-Tropez and are very noisy, the ones on the parking/garden side are much more quiet.

Unfortunately we made the mistake of not closing the shutters which keeps out a lot of the traffic noise.

The air conditioning is controlled centrally so in winter/spring time it just provides heating, like us, if you would like some fresh air and keep the window open the noise of the traffic is unbearable.

I would not spend 4 days there as it is quite noisy (you can hear everything going on in the rooms next to yours).

You can hear people in corridor (opening and closing doors)

It takes over an hour to get in / out of St.Tropez with such heavy traffic - spring and autumn are best or take the ferry from St. Maxime.

But it was far too noisy - we could hear the guests in the next room zipping and unzipping their luggage at 4.30 in the morning.

The only gripe we had was with the considerable noise in the morning which woke us up on several occasions.

though at nights there were drunk adults keeping more noise than my daughter.
