We had a room with a terrace in the sun all day long (there are only 4 of these I think, the rest just have a balcony) on the top floor with a fantastic view of the harbour.

The hotel has a rooftop pool with view of the harbour and an indoor pool for rainy days.

The rooftop pool and patio are a real bonus and our room (201) was well appointed with air conditioning, fridge, very comfortable bed and massive balcony and view of the harbour.

We were in room 201 which was excellent with a large balcony and harbour view.

There was a roof top swimming pool overlooking the harbour and this was a delightful place to spend a few hours sunbathing.

I was given an upgrade from my standard room to a "harbour view" - which was great except that my view was more street than actual harbour.

Aragona Palace is a lovely hotel with very good facilities (spa, roof top thermal pool and gardens, spacious rooms ) and efficient,friendly staff in particular Carmen and Jelena on reception and Mattia in the restaurant.

The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much bother.

The staff at the hotel and the cleanliness of the hotel are first class, everyone so helpful and friendly.

The staff including Manuela, Raphaela and Josephine gave us beautiful and friendly service all week.

Well located hotel with friendly staff - particularly in the restaurant.

It was a lovely friendly comfortable hotel with a perfect location right on the quayside where you felt you were in amongst the hustle and bustle of a busy port with all the local atmosphere.

Praise must be given to the staff, who work tirelessly to make sure your stay is as pleasant as can be all of them are friendly,polite and professional

The Staff were friendly and gave good advice on how to get around and what to see.

The hotel is situated on the harbour and is everything you would expect, very comfortable with friendly staff.

although the staff were all very friendly, it felt like they were on a conveyor belt .No chance to relax between courses .

Other than that comment, we found all of the staff quite quite kind, friendly, helpful and hospitable.

It was loud, so we didn't get much sleep during our stay.

.although I think we were unlucky with
our neighbours who liked the TV on and doors and shutters open - all the time and loud.

No subtle music played it is like being in a holiday camp .

but we found it really noisy, we were more or less above restaurants and bars and when all these closed groups of loud teenagers congregated just in front of hotel on scooters etc and didn't go til 4am.

However when on the last evening, there was no half bottle of wine waiting for us after having drunk half of one the night before, we asked the head waiter where it was.

However, if you are looking for a party town, this isn't it - the Island is beautiful and has managed to keep it's original charm,

but which has loud pop music blaring out and plastic faux wicker seating.

but it might have an effect on the small loud groups who are not being thoughtful.

Underneath room 109 and 110 is a bar that plays music to 02:00 in the morning and this resonates through the floor of the room, we tried to tolerate it

The only negative is the noise from the street - last night the music was blasting until 3:00.

We were right above a bar/restaurant which did get a little loud at night,

but the second night it was playing at 10:30 PM and I had to call to move rooms.

There were also perhaps hundreds of people on the street and terrace and Italians do talk loud.

It has great views of the port and so much space to hang out.

Very easy to walk to from the port, buses close by, lots of restaurants close by and a beautiful street lined with shops just behind the hotel.

We had a lovely deluxe room on the 4th floor which had its own patio with sunbeds and table and chairs with a view over the port and some of the super yachts docked there.

Hotel is right on the side of the port with lovely views and what seems to be an idyllic setting.

The local youngsters congregate around the port, outside the Hotel Aragona and shout, and scream for hours.

Recommend you walk 2 mins along the port where there’s a tour shop who seem much more professional.

It’s a busy port with lots to watch plus you can rent a boat or take trips.

The hotel is right by the Port, so very handy for the ferry services.

1 - It is really close to the Port so about a 5 min walk.

I'd highly recommend this hotel, it's within view when you get off the ferry on arrival at Ischia Port, plus there are some lovely restaurants just around the corner and the best gelato just around the other corner, Gelato Mio.

The hotel is in a great location over looking the port, you can walk to it from the ferry terminal.

The room was lovely, with a balcony looking over the street and port.

This hotel is in an excellent location overlooking the main Port of Ischia.

I was surprised it wasn't as noisy as I suspected.

Our room had a balcony overlooking the harbour which in mid September was not overly crowded or noisy.

We could hear everything in the rooms next to us, the walls are that thin, so it’s difficult to sleep.

Noise not a problem for us even with ferries docking and leaving, and a wedding on the street below.

However, we had a room at the front of the property, which was VERY noisy at night.

It’s just such a shame the hotel isn’t better sound proofed.

You will hear neighbours tv and even snoring!

The walls are thin so you can hear everything in adjoining rooms - the terraces are shared so it’s not a hotel for privacy really.

The only small gripe i have is our room didn't have black out curtains so every morning when the sun rose we were awake.

As I was overlooking the street, I had people walking about, cars and noise from the bars and restaurants around.

We had a room with a balcony over looking the marina which had good views and spacious; the only down side is that it can be noisy overnight from passing traffic and people, especially over the weekend,

We read some reviews which stated that the front rooms were noisy and suffered from exhaust smoke from the boats in the harbour.

although this can be quite noisy early morning sometimes.

but a little tired) 

The hotel is in the buzz of the port - we enjoyed the liveliness of the area, busy but not too noisy.

If you want complete peace and quiet, then this hotel is not for you,

It was noisy and ferries exhausting fuel not good to smell or inhale.

We stayed in October and the island was definitely on the summer wind down - I can imagine that a room overlooking the port could be a noisy place to stay in the height of summer, with boats coming and going and the noise of people at the bars and adjacent restaurants.

The hotel has great facilities including the roof top pool with amazing view, hot thermal pool and spa.

however the evening fare was very plain and if you are used to a selection of vegetables on your plate you will be disappointed.Their was a small pool on the rooftop terrace with sun beds and umbrellas and all in all it was an enjoyable stay with plenty of things to see on the island

There is a nice rooftop pool which we didn't use as weather wasn't great.

From check in, to the comfortable room,  to the rooftop pool, the balcony overlooking the harbor, the SPA and massage facilites, to the wonderful array of choices for breakfast.

Very helpful and friendly staff particularly in Reception and the dining room, good food, fresh sheets every day, a welcoming plate of tiny cakes and fresh juice delivered to our room on arrival and a heated rooftop pool - you couldn't ask for more!

Didn't use the spa faciliites or the pool which was a rooftop one.

We love the rooftop pool which is kept at such a comfortable temperature and also love the indoor thermal one.

I didn't use the spa and only went up to the rooftop pool once.

The roof top pool had a lovely view across the harbour and the pool was so warm and there was never a problem of a sun bed.

The front desk is VERY helpful, everyone was very nice.

Staff were incredible, the room was wonderful with a gorgeous view I can't get over.

The staff, especially Lorenzo and Jelena, were incredibly kind and helpful when we had any questions. The included breakfast was fantastic - a large buffet of various baked goods (pistaccio cornettos!)

Every assistance was given to ensure we made the most of our holiday by the hotel staff from reduced price excursions to local restaurants/attractions.

It was so bad that we left Ischia early and the front desk staff didn’t even seem surprised that we were leaving early.

The personnel was kind and helpful and ordered a transfer from the airport, which was very nice since our plane got delayed several hours, and we probably hadn't made it if not!

but this gives it a kind of retro charm as it is kept clean.

I want to mention the staff were great, in particular Luigi and Carmen.

Ischia is beautiful and we could not have wished for more. Thankyou.

The hotel location near Ischia Porto was perfect because Porto is where all the bus lines depart so getting to any and all sites using public transportation was easy.

One of the desk staff sat with us to go over a map of the island, how to get around using the buses, and places to visit.

but the hotel runs regular minibus transfers in the morning and evenings to Ischia port.

The hotel offer a free shuttle bus which is a really good gesture and so helpful as they are up quite a steep hill.

As Taxis are very expensive on the island we used buses where possible and the shuttle service to and from the bus stop or town made this very easy indeed.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful and shuttle bus a big bonus with scheduled pick up from the port and arranged pick up from the local bus stop.

The hotel is easy to reach from Napoli airport, with first a bus (Alibus) to the ferry terminal and from there a choice of ferry companies to Ischia (fast ferries take about 50 minutes).

For instance, we had one day when we missed the bus to Saint Angelo by a few minutes.

This was made all the easier with the brand new hybrid shuttle bus offered by the hotel free of charge!

The hotel has a free shuttle bus which ran down to the main town/harbour.

The good - The hotel offers a scheduled shuttle bus service to travel to Ischia Porto and back.

It is the staff that make the difference here, rooms are spotless, a minibus runs at regular times into town (and on request) which is great for days out and evening dinner by the harbour.

The hotel shuttle bus is really useful and we booked  it to go into town and back every night.

There is a very good public bus service around the island which means there is no need to rent a car

They organize for all their guests shuttles a couple of times daily that take guests from the hotel to the main city of ischia porta, and taking them back from ischia porta to the hotel at designated times.

The spa is a superb addition to have and shuttle into town is great.

The food was good and the free shuttle service to town a godsend and buses to all parts of the island cheap and regular.

The hotel offers a mini bus service to take you to and from neighboring towns and the islands bus service is great, so, exploring the island without transport isn't a problem.

The courtesy bus from the harbour was great.

A great restaurant with amazing food and vibes, either inside or by the pool.

Overall, we loved the ambiance and location of this wonderful hotel.

First the dinning room was really bright and just not a relaxing environment to eat in.

What a lovely hotel, that family warmth is there as soon as you walk in the door, The staff are so helpful,  trying to assist in any way they can, nothing is too much trouble, The pool is a glorious hue of blue, which is set off by the bright white buildings which surround it.

Everything is perfectly maintained and well decorated.

We arrived from lake Garda part of our honeymoon and we were  collected by the lovely Antonio from the port .We had a lovely friendly welcome at reception nothing was too much trouble , we opted for room 206 which has beautiful sea  views towards Vesuvius and the mainland  the room is spacious and modern and we were treated to a bottle of fizz compliments of the hotel .

In all all the staff were really friendly.

The choice was poor and not good quality.

Even the breakfast (which is appreciated by other reviewers) is poor.

I have down graded the service because of the poor food at the issue over the food allergy.

), to the gentleman who oversaw the restaurant and remembered what we liked at breakfast after the first day, to the spa staff that came out to check that the water in the outdoor thermal pool wasn't too hot for us, just anything you needed, they were there, kind and personable. An example:  when Francesco ( I think that was his name!)

The food was delicious….and the coffee was great.

In terms of food, breakfast was excellent with a wide selection and lots of fresh fruit.

The food was amazing and listening to Francesco preform every Saturday was so much fun.

Thank you to Enzo in the restaurant and all the other lovely staff who made our 9 day break such an enjoyable one!

We enjoyed the 3 dinners we had here thanks to chef Pasqualle and the breakfasts were excellent with lots of choice and homemade produce.

The food is also excellent and priced similarly to the restaurants in town.

Pascale did a brilliant job with the menu.

The food is lovely and the cocktails even better , the little snacks with the drinks is a really nice touch.

We chose a half board tariff and the food was always good with plenty of choices inc. fish and vegetarian diets.

The food at the restaurant was the best we had in Ischia .

Don’t miss out on having dinner at their restaurant, their menu changes daily and their wine menu was great.

Breakfast was typically Italian with a choice of tasty food items and drinks.

The breakfast was fresh and delicious as was the evening meal we had on the first night of our stay.

I would point out that it's very much an Italian menu with plenty of seafood etc.

If the reception staff were attentive, the hotel restaurant's very own maitre de was phenomenally courteous.

There were signs in the room saying how they would charge you for bringing in any food or drinks from outside.

The most absurd thing was a sign in the room which I will attach.

but many people walked around without them there were no signs regarding foot wear.

The only warning I would put is that some of the rooms have no window.

No problem getting sunbeds and no sign of anyone ‘bagging’ sunbeds at some ridiculous time in the morning!

but was spoilt at times by large groups of ladies staying at the hotel screaming and shouting even though there were signs everywhere saying 'please be quiet in the spa'
Maybe they have never been to a sauna, who knows, but it was very off putting.

Also we were prohibited from bringing drinks and food into the hotel which was a bit annoying.

There's a surprising notice on the door stating that those who eat food in the room or drink beverages that are not purchased at the hotel will be charged an extra fee for cleaning and service.

But the very best thing about the hotel is the staff.

Most of all though….I would like to complement the staff .
