We had a room with a terrace in the sun all day long (there are only 4 of these I think, the rest just have a balcony) on the top floor with a fantastic view of the harbour.

The hotel has a rooftop pool with view of the harbour and an indoor pool for rainy days.

The rooftop pool and patio are a real bonus and our room (201) was well appointed with air conditioning, fridge, very comfortable bed and massive balcony and view of the harbour.

We were in room 201 which was excellent with a large balcony and harbour view.

There was a roof top swimming pool overlooking the harbour and this was a delightful place to spend a few hours sunbathing.

I was given an upgrade from my standard room to a "harbour view" - which was great except that my view was more street than actual harbour.

Nice front terrace on the street, overlooking the harbour and bar that are all part of the hotel.

The location is superb, facing the port/harbour, so in the very centre close to many shops, cafes and restaurants, as well as boats if you wish to take a trip around the island or to other islands in the area.

The location was perfect for us - right in Ischia Porto just a short walk from the ferry dock which we used to hop a ferry to Procida for lunch.

Location was top priority for us with a young family and for this the hotel gets 5/5.

We chose it for its prime position and ease of access to ferries and buses for exploring Ischia and the nearby islands/coastline.

You couldn’t get a better location in Porto, right on the water and next to a row of fantastic bars and restaurants.

Great central location - at the port and right near the shops, restaurants and beach.

We are currently staying at the aragona palace hotel in room 201 for our 30th anniversary, the hotel is spotless, all the staff are so welcoming & accommodating, from the receptionists, waitresses to the efficient 'magic' maintenance man,  it is in an ideal position for the harbour, shops, and beach within a 5min walk, they also have an arrangement with one of the beachfronts friendliest restaurant where you get free sunbeds.

The hotel location within the town was perfect for us.

Cannot be a more perfect location, when you get off the ferry from Naples it is a 2 minute walk.

Perfect location for restaurants, beach (ask at reception and they will arrange a sun bed at their excellet beach bar they have an affiliation with and well worth a visit ), catching a boat to Capri etc.

Plenty nice restuarants in town and on the harbour where this hotelbis situated - ideal location.

It was a lovely friendly comfortable hotel with a perfect location right on the quayside where you felt you were in amongst the hustle and bustle of a busy port with all the local atmosphere.

It was loud, so we didn't get much sleep during our stay.

.although I think we were unlucky with
our neighbours who liked the TV on and doors and shutters open - all the time and loud.

No subtle music played it is like being in a holiday camp .

but we found it really noisy, we were more or less above restaurants and bars and when all these closed groups of loud teenagers congregated just in front of hotel on scooters etc and didn't go til 4am.

However when on the last evening, there was no half bottle of wine waiting for us after having drunk half of one the night before, we asked the head waiter where it was.

However, if you are looking for a party town, this isn't it - the Island is beautiful and has managed to keep it's original charm,

but which has loud pop music blaring out and plastic faux wicker seating.

but it might have an effect on the small loud groups who are not being thoughtful.

Underneath room 109 and 110 is a bar that plays music to 02:00 in the morning and this resonates through the floor of the room, we tried to tolerate it

The only negative is the noise from the street - last night the music was blasting until 3:00.

We were right above a bar/restaurant which did get a little loud at night,

but the second night it was playing at 10:30 PM and I had to call to move rooms.

There were also perhaps hundreds of people on the street and terrace and Italians do talk loud.

It has great views of the port and so much space to hang out.

Very easy to walk to from the port, buses close by, lots of restaurants close by and a beautiful street lined with shops just behind the hotel.

We had a lovely deluxe room on the 4th floor which had its own patio with sunbeds and table and chairs with a view over the port and some of the super yachts docked there.

Hotel is right on the side of the port with lovely views and what seems to be an idyllic setting.

The local youngsters congregate around the port, outside the Hotel Aragona and shout, and scream for hours.

Recommend you walk 2 mins along the port where there’s a tour shop who seem much more professional.

It’s a busy port with lots to watch plus you can rent a boat or take trips.

The hotel is right by the Port, so very handy for the ferry services.

1 - It is really close to the Port so about a 5 min walk.

I'd highly recommend this hotel, it's within view when you get off the ferry on arrival at Ischia Port, plus there are some lovely restaurants just around the corner and the best gelato just around the other corner, Gelato Mio.

The hotel is in a great location over looking the port, you can walk to it from the ferry terminal.

The room was lovely, with a balcony looking over the street and port.

This hotel is in an excellent location overlooking the main Port of Ischia.

I was surprised it wasn't as noisy as I suspected.

Our room had a balcony overlooking the harbour which in mid September was not overly crowded or noisy.

We could hear everything in the rooms next to us, the walls are that thin, so it’s difficult to sleep.

Noise not a problem for us even with ferries docking and leaving, and a wedding on the street below.

However, we had a room at the front of the property, which was VERY noisy at night.

It’s just such a shame the hotel isn’t better sound proofed.

You will hear neighbours tv and even snoring!

The walls are thin so you can hear everything in adjoining rooms - the terraces are shared so it’s not a hotel for privacy really.

The only small gripe i have is our room didn't have black out curtains so every morning when the sun rose we were awake.

As I was overlooking the street, I had people walking about, cars and noise from the bars and restaurants around.

We had a room with a balcony over looking the marina which had good views and spacious; the only down side is that it can be noisy overnight from passing traffic and people, especially over the weekend,

We read some reviews which stated that the front rooms were noisy and suffered from exhaust smoke from the boats in the harbour.

although this can be quite noisy early morning sometimes.

but a little tired) 

The hotel is in the buzz of the port - we enjoyed the liveliness of the area, busy but not too noisy.

If you want complete peace and quiet, then this hotel is not for you,

It was noisy and ferries exhausting fuel not good to smell or inhale.

We stayed in October and the island was definitely on the summer wind down - I can imagine that a room overlooking the port could be a noisy place to stay in the height of summer, with boats coming and going and the noise of people at the bars and adjacent restaurants.

We easily walked to charming Ischia Ponte (about 1 mile) one night for dinner and to see the castle.

Dishes included lobster, entrecote steak and the famous Ischian rabbit.

Easy to access everything, from restaurants, stores or the bus terminal if you want to explore the island.

Great caffe doppio at breakfast and a good selection of breakfast foods.

The hotel itself is on Ischia Island which is an hour off the coast from Naples and is tucked away in the corner of Ischia Porto with numerous bars and restaurants minutes away on foot.

Having said that, it was spotlessly clean and the restaurant staff were lovely.

The menu has a varied choice of Italian dishes, which you pre order at breakfast, and fruit & pastries are plentiful at breakfast lunch and dinner.

The food offered is wide ranging and very well presented.

Well appointed room and the breakfast and dinner were excellent and well presented by the staff.

They didn’t offer any hot food to order

All of the public areas, like lobby, restaurant and pool, were nice and cozy.

Rooftop pool was clean and quiet wit beautiful view.

Rooftop pool would be nice if you could get in there to cool off .

The hotel has great facilities including the roof top pool with amazing view, hot thermal pool and spa.

however the evening fare was very plain and if you are used to a selection of vegetables on your plate you will be disappointed.Their was a small pool on the rooftop terrace with sun beds and umbrellas and all in all it was an enjoyable stay with plenty of things to see on the island

There is a nice rooftop pool which we didn't use as weather wasn't great.

From check in, to the comfortable room,  to the rooftop pool, the balcony overlooking the harbor, the SPA and massage facilites, to the wonderful array of choices for breakfast.

Very helpful and friendly staff particularly in Reception and the dining room, good food, fresh sheets every day, a welcoming plate of tiny cakes and fresh juice delivered to our room on arrival and a heated rooftop pool - you couldn't ask for more!

Didn't use the spa faciliites or the pool which was a rooftop one.

We love the rooftop pool which is kept at such a comfortable temperature and also love the indoor thermal one.

I didn't use the spa and only went up to the rooftop pool once.

The roof top pool had a lovely view across the harbour and the pool was so warm and there was never a problem of a sun bed.

This was well priced, ok clean room and handy to be able to have a swim in the thermal pool too.

Our room was spotless, always, and our walk out terrace was perfect for a late night wine under the stars.

The rooms are clean, cleaned daily and sheets and towels are changed every other day.

To start with the positives: clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff (went above and beyond, made reservations for us etc) , warm pool.

The room was spotlessly clean when we arrived and well looked after during our stay.The food was good, plenty of choice and mostly of a high standard.

The rooms were an easy walk to connecting boats to Naples and a direct trip to Sorrento (once a day near 5pm) Each room was spotless, well appointed and spacious for our two nights.

The room was clean and the linen and towels were changes regularly ( the sheets were changed again the night before we left?).

On the plus side our room was kept very clean.

The front desk is VERY helpful, everyone was very nice.

Staff were incredible, the room was wonderful with a gorgeous view I can't get over.

The staff, especially Lorenzo and Jelena, were incredibly kind and helpful when we had any questions. The included breakfast was fantastic - a large buffet of various baked goods (pistaccio cornettos!)

The staff were also very  friendly and helpful.

Every assistance was given to ensure we made the most of our holiday by the hotel staff from reduced price excursions to local restaurants/attractions.

It was so bad that we left Ischia early and the front desk staff didn’t even seem surprised that we were leaving early.

The personnel was kind and helpful and ordered a transfer from the airport, which was very nice since our plane got delayed several hours, and we probably hadn't made it if not!

but this gives it a kind of retro charm as it is kept clean.

The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much bother.

I want to mention the staff were great, in particular Luigi and Carmen.

Ischia is beautiful and we could not have wished for more. Thankyou.

The hotel is also not far from the Aragonese Castle with lovely views from top built on a small tidal island connected by a causeway that is nice to visit.

Our room itself was quite large with a balcony overlooking the street.

One ‘could do better’ is that the air conditioning is under powered so if you need to be super cool at night this might not be your place.

The bed and pillows were uncomfortable, no extra pillows in the room and the air conditioning was not working, which made it impossible to sleep during a 90% humidity night at 30 degrees (86 Fahrenheit).

The only complain we had was a poor working aircon in our room.

As I stayed during the winter, I can't really comment on the AC.

The aircon was very inadequate and we had a couple of nights where it did not work at all.

We found the hotel beds to be very comfortable, the a/c was on the weak side as were the showers.

but the air conditioning was not really effective and didn't appear to cool the room at all.

although, the owners did lend us their fan!

though as ours was dark, had no air conditioning and was very small.

We had breakfast and dinner everyday of our stay and the food was lovely.

The breakfast is abundant with local fruit and homemade marmelade, lunch and dinner are cooked fresh with local ingredients.

The food was delicious and the Prosecco and beer great.

All meals were excellent, delicious freshly prepared food, salads, vegetables, fish, everything was top class and beautifully presented.

Everything was perfect: breakfast was plentiful, rooms were clean, dinner was very fine and the staff was amazing.

The food was excellent, breakfast and dinner, delicious, traditional, Italian food.

This place is amazing, quite , breathtaking views, attractive staff, beautiful pool ,delicious food the list goes on !

The food at the restaurant was delicious, with all the vegetables fresh from the garden.

At night we had dinner looking out on the water sparkling in the moonlight.

Stunning view on the St Angelo gulf during the local Saint celebration, amazing fireworks from the terrace, having a great dinner.

Torre Sant'Angelo is a truly special place - incredible views, DELICIOUS food, and the kindest, family-run spirit.

The views were great, the food was great, the pool area is lovely!

We came back to this hotel after 5 years and found out it just got better with a wonderful spa and great cuisine.

There are other hotels within walking distance which also have lovely restaurants and a great pizza/pasta place in Panza.

The cleanliness, food and facilities were fantastic.

The hotel has its own chef who produced lovely lunch and dinner menu each day.

Only negative: a bit hard to find, need better signs on the approach road.

The only negative is that the hotel may feel isolated as it is a long way down a narrow winding road and there is nothing else there.

True road from the port of Ischia to the hotel we were looking for 2 hours !, because the navigator of our car refused to receive and search for the address of the hotel.

However on the down side, our bathroom was full of ants, and the road to the hotel is very narrow and parking in the hotel car park very difficult (the owner does it for you).

Hidden away on a very narrow steep road, on route to Sorgeto Beach (this beach has natural thermal hot springs, bit of a trek down the steps

but parking on the island was a nightmare to find, and the driving along the narrow windy roads was downright scary.

The road to Panza is pretty steep and completely dark at nigth, bringing a flashlight is thus a good idea if you are planning to walk.

Just up the road is a ristorante, La Rondinella, that should be avoided at all costs!

First impressions of this hotel from the road are that it is somewhat run down and dirty

Also, BE CAREFUL at the hot springs down the road.
