Once we came earlier, around 9:00, and the buffet was great. Pity.

Love the free breakfast every morning to make the day more convenient.

They served a delicious breakfast which made this place a perfect stay!

The staff, especially Lorenzo and Jelena, were incredibly kind and helpful when we had any questions. The included breakfast was fantastic - a large buffet of various baked goods (pistaccio cornettos!)

Breakfast was served from 7.30am to 10.30am and was cakes, pastries, fruit, cheese, ham and eggs coffee, juices etc.

Breakfast was great for Italian standards ( stay at home if you expect an English breakfast in Italy!).

An excellent buffet breakfast of cold meats, cheeses and eggs, delicious cakes and pastries, fresh rolls and fruit selection is available each morning while a four course meal and can be enjoyed for 30 euros

The menu has a varied choice of Italian dishes, which you pre order at breakfast, and fruit & pastries are plentiful at breakfast lunch and dinner.

Well appointed room and the breakfast and dinner were excellent and well presented by the staff.

You can have either lunch or dinner and are expected to choose from the menu during breakfast.

but we were looking for fruit & cereal - they had an amazing array of cakes and croissants if that’s your preference.

The hotel is very clean and bright and has a top floor pool and also a thermal warm pool  indoors, which is nice..
Breakfast is good - and, if you ask nicely, they bring you a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice, which is perfect.

+ We absolutely loved the breakfast - something fresh and light for once!

It was loud, so we didn't get much sleep during our stay.

.although I think we were unlucky with
our neighbours who liked the TV on and doors and shutters open - all the time and loud.

No subtle music played it is like being in a holiday camp .

but we found it really noisy, we were more or less above restaurants and bars and when all these closed groups of loud teenagers congregated just in front of hotel on scooters etc and didn't go til 4am.

However when on the last evening, there was no half bottle of wine waiting for us after having drunk half of one the night before, we asked the head waiter where it was.

However, if you are looking for a party town, this isn't it - the Island is beautiful and has managed to keep it's original charm,

but which has loud pop music blaring out and plastic faux wicker seating.

but it might have an effect on the small loud groups who are not being thoughtful.

Underneath room 109 and 110 is a bar that plays music to 02:00 in the morning and this resonates through the floor of the room, we tried to tolerate it

The only negative is the noise from the street - last night the music was blasting until 3:00.

We were right above a bar/restaurant which did get a little loud at night,

but the second night it was playing at 10:30 PM and I had to call to move rooms.

There were also perhaps hundreds of people on the street and terrace and Italians do talk loud.

I was surprised it wasn't as noisy as I suspected.

Our room had a balcony overlooking the harbour which in mid September was not overly crowded or noisy.

We could hear everything in the rooms next to us, the walls are that thin, so it’s difficult to sleep.

Noise not a problem for us even with ferries docking and leaving, and a wedding on the street below.

However, we had a room at the front of the property, which was VERY noisy at night.

It’s just such a shame the hotel isn’t better sound proofed.

You will hear neighbours tv and even snoring!

The walls are thin so you can hear everything in adjoining rooms - the terraces are shared so it’s not a hotel for privacy really.

The only small gripe i have is our room didn't have black out curtains so every morning when the sun rose we were awake.

As I was overlooking the street, I had people walking about, cars and noise from the bars and restaurants around.

We had a room with a balcony over looking the marina which had good views and spacious; the only down side is that it can be noisy overnight from passing traffic and people, especially over the weekend,

We read some reviews which stated that the front rooms were noisy and suffered from exhaust smoke from the boats in the harbour.

although this can be quite noisy early morning sometimes.

but a little tired) 

The hotel is in the buzz of the port - we enjoyed the liveliness of the area, busy but not too noisy.

If you want complete peace and quiet, then this hotel is not for you,

It was noisy and ferries exhausting fuel not good to smell or inhale.

We stayed in October and the island was definitely on the summer wind down - I can imagine that a room overlooking the port could be a noisy place to stay in the height of summer, with boats coming and going and the noise of people at the bars and adjacent restaurants.

Rooms are small..but spotless..bed pillows linen good quality..Staff are very friendly.. ..Breakfast, waiter service very nice.

* Rooms are not huge - we stayed in a twin-bedded room which was perfectly adequate

Breakfast, which is included was also excellent.

There was a great choice for breakfast both hot and cold food..  order at table and it was delivered to your table by the waiting staff  (covid restrictions).

The breakfast team ran by the lovely Sara are exceptionally friendly.

The waiting staff for breakfast really looked after us, the breakfast being plentiful and all very tasty.

Breakfast is a la carte with plenty of choice.

The best things about this hotel are the pool area, and the positive, friendly way some of the staff - for example Mario at the pool bar/restaurant, and Sara on the breakfast team - truly make you welcome.

Breakfast covered just about any nationality and they even had a fresh slab of honeycomb taken straight from the hive layed-out and angled for you to take honey direct.

.Al la Carte restaurant at top of hotel ..is expensive for the portion sizes..we travel all around the world and the portions were tiny.

Only problem was the price had risen from £289 to £805!

but was sadly way out of out price range to be honest.

I would say one downside if the price of drinks around five euros for a coke, it put us off spending much time there and wandered around the town more where you can find food and drinks a lot cheaper.

Also the wines are extremely expensive, around e28-34 at the lower end, annoying when the same wines can be found locally at a quarter of the price.

There are so many other options in town, don’t pick this over priced mess.

There was only 1 slice cheese available and it was probably the lowest cost cheese as it was so bland.

The published rate for a taxi to the harbour is €15 euros.

but we really ended up paying for it in the rates.

It was difficult and a lot more expensive to find alternate accommodation at the last minute. I

I have to say I found it confusing having the price of each course on the menu, I could not understand this as people other than residents are not allowed to eat in the restaurant!!!

Not the first report of this hotel overbooking sea view rate rooms on tripadviser, and the bad attitude of management.

The private beach has sunbeds & umbrella at no additional cost with a snack bar behind for drinks & food payable to the locals running it and not the hotel so take some cash!

Furthermore in the end we've been surprisingly charged a £ 12.00 extra as a 'stay tax'.

Now we had to urgently look for alternative rooms and book at a higher price.

but after searching for hours for somewhere to go for a bit of relaxation, this seemed a price worth paying.

For what we pai,  this hotel was substandard.they had small rooms with double beds only .it's best described as a 3* b&b.

As a result, we were sent to a very VERY small room off the side of the lobby.

The rooms are as described they are a little small the showers very very small not a hotel for big people.

Rooms are small as usu In Europe, specially bathrooms,

however our room was very small and dated making our two night stay a little uncomfortable at times.

but the first room was very small and wouldnt have been nice for 2 weeks.

We loved the breakfast each morning, a wide-ranging buffet (so fresh!

We had lunch and dinner on premises as well and those meals were equally delicious.

Breakfast is delicious with high quality ingredients freshly prepared.

We enjoyed their cocktails at their bar; they were delicious and strong!

Food was superb, terrific breakfast choice and variety of foods for dinner.

The restaurants were also beautiful and the food was delicious.

And the breakfasts were elegant and tasty.

Food is amazing and uses ingredients grown at the hotel garden.

The breakfast buffet was superb and the cocktails and pizzas were delicious.

The breakfast was buffet style with abundant choices.

The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired and the selection of breads, sweets and salted foods is fantastic.

Breakfasts were excellent - especially if you like pastries!

I have had many, many delicious meals in Ischia.

There was an egg station where you could have an omelette or boiled egg. Lunch.

The evening cocktail bar is a delight , breakfast and lunch around the pool is fabulous and added to that the  staff are ALL delivering an exceptional standard.

We were on half board option, and the restaurant food was extremely good, as was breakfast.

There’s a good choice at both breakfast and dinner and decent variety and were served by friendly attentive (perhaps sometimes overly so) waiters.

We stayed half board and the food was delicious prepared with fresh produce.

Breakfast every morning was lovely and had so many options!

The wifi was temperamental, sometimes super-fast and other times nonexistent.

This is once a day and only in the afternoon so a connection would be nice..The hotel also provides daily beach/pool towels which was not mentione din the brochure  so naturally we took our own.

The service was patchy bordering on the rude sometimes.

I tried to load a speed test page and it timed out.

Take mosquito repellent and don't expect to stream movies on the wifi.

 I would only improve WiFi signal, as last year it was much better!

but the bandwidth is negligeable hence practically you cannot us it.

Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

The hotel/room was clean, breakfast (included) was good, and the facilities were very nice.

The beach has plentiful loungers, the service from the bar was friendly and we enjoyed the snack menu, the bruschetta was super sweet and very generous.

Breakfast was included and had an assortment of cakes, croissants and cereals along with freshly cut meats as well as eggs and bacon (they also had an American type breakfast selection for a few more euro).

The breakfast was great and the staff were all lovely, particularly Giorgio who always asked us if we wanted another coffee.

The location is close to Aragonese Castle, the spa is well appointed and the bar and breakfast all well taken care of, so why the 3/ 5 rating?

The breakfast selection was expansive and the fresh ricotta was our favorite.

Staff were helpful and welcoming all the way through from the front desk, breakfast staff and housekeeping.

Amazing breakfast spread and the private beach area is a real plus as well.

The rooms are amazing, the views stunning, and the food is delicious!

The facility was clean, on the water with great lounge chair and deck seating and had a great selection of items for breakfast.

Breakfast was the only meal we had here and it was good, fresh fruit, ham, cheese, bread, lots to choose from.

The breakfast in the restaurant each morning was beautiful and it was lovely to have the waiter remember how we like our coffee each morning without even needing to ask.

Also, the breakfast is fantastic and the boys make a mean cappuccino (or 3 like we had every morning)!!

Good selection for breakfast, nice setting for outdoor tables, friendly and attentive staff.

Service was faultless at breakfast, lunch and on one occasion we ate in the restaurant in the evening.

The service was excellent in all areas, check-in, breakfast, poolside, at the bar and housekeeping.

We ate dinner downstairs by the water twice because it was so delicious.

All in all, avoid this hotel at all cost!

It’s quite pricey for what it is - we had a small room not sea facing and no balcony.

Raising her voice and being totally unprofessional. We were tired from our journey and just decided that it was better to pay the Day Rack Rate(Dynamic Pricing__forget about reservations!)

Stayed in July 2019, to start there was a mix up with booking agent and hotel, hotel proceeded to eye gouge on price when the island was busy.

Expect to pay around 20 euro from hotel to the port - give them a chance and they will rip you off.

We paid 80 Euros to Sant Angelo and the boatman can take you into a small cave (grotto) on the way.

but this is a 5 star charging 5 star prices.

lots of expensive Italian bags - my wife almost bought another suitcase of them home with her!!.

One thing to be aware of is that they offer a laundry service that is expensive and there is no option to press/ iron anything yourself.

but we absolutely would NOT pay full price.

It cost € 120 (hotel add €10 reservation cost) and the "limousine" is just a normal van.

Such a gesture would have increased my opinion of the hotel even further while costing nothing.

Drinks from the bar are very expensive and I do feel that if they were more competitive then the bar would have been a lost busier.

Hardly 5 star or even 4 star behaviour to 3 guests quietly taking in the astounding views that they'd paid for the privilege to view.

The bar was quite expensive especially the water which is 5 euro's for a 750ml bottle.

A taxi from the port to the hotel should only cost €15.

The hotel itself is dated and the rooms are small, which was ok for a few days

The twin room was tiny and you could only pull the beds apart by about 20cms, which is awkward when sharing with your brother.

Rooms are tiny with with two small twin beds pushed together.

The standard room was a bit small with only a queen bed.

Deluxe rooms have a terrace too and the rooms can be a little small because of the size of the hotel

Initially disappointed as the room is very small we were later much happier as the balcony, unlike the ones at the front is in the sun from about 1.00 and all afternoon.

The room we got (309) was a sad and small room due to its lay-out with a huge wall (75% of the room) seperating the bed from a small area to sit inside (it didn't look like the pictures at booking.com at all).

but not all rooms there are so tiny and thus, you get what you pay for.

They had an ugly green wall with the windows, which was disappointing.

The bed is on the wall shared with the neighbours toilet so you can ear them every time the use it.

It still had a wall (a bit smaller though) so you still don''t see the sea from the bed.

The room we were given (room 208) was divided by a wall which extended 75% across the room so the seaview could only be seen from a small unusable space.

Nothing is clean - the faucets through to the mildew on the bathroom Walls.

The only decor element is yellow ceramics that covers floor and part of the walls.

We hadn't pre-booked a room & found ourselves in a small double room on the first floor facing the rear of the hotel - onto a brick wall.

The pool areas have plentiful beds and the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms was good.

There is also an outside terrace adjacent to the main dining room where we had breakfast each morning with such an amazing view.

The food was really good every day with a large selection to choose from at breakfast, and we really enjoyed all of the evening meals.

The food was excellent with the best salad buffet at dinner that I have ever seen.

Breakfast is continental buffet style only which we liked.

The buffet breakfast was wonderful even featuring a real honeycomb.

At breakfast you make your dinner choices.

The food was delicious with hardly anything being repeated over the two weeks.

As vegetarians, we sometimes opted to go for two starters at dinner because they do pasta and risotto so well (don’t judge us for the carbs).

Pasta dishes were especially good and breakfasts perfectly adequate.

The meals in the evening have to be chosen at breakfast.

Note - breakfast is a do it yourself continental style and not to everybody's taste
The room we had was fine, the views were fabulous, the pools were great and it never felt especially busy in any part of the Hotel.

A good, varied and interesting continental breakfast was provided and for fussy or intransigent Brit’s, additional choices like scrambled eggs and bacon could be purchased.

From the time of our arrival we were made most welcome by all members of staff, and we found the ample continental breakfast and the a la carte dinner really good, especially for the vegetarian member of our party.

The food is 10/10 in terms of quality and choice and we could not fault the food over the whole holiday, we had to choose at Breakfast and had 4 choices for the starter and main, all were excellent and  typical Italian fare, wife is a veggie and she had plenty of choice.

Our hotel, as most of them, was set up high, the rooms also over several levels, lots of steps, so not for the less mobile,

The door this leads to is locked after 10 so you have to ring the bell to reception. .
