Well appointed and presented rooms and nice breakfasts.

We stayed three nights and would recommend breakfast as the view from the terrace is outstanding.

He made us a very good breakfast with amazing views, we can't complain of anything, so happy we slept there.

The view of the medieval city from the first floor balcony (where a large continental breakfast was served by Patrick each morning) was stunning and guests are able to sit up there during the day and evening.

Breakfast was a perfect combination of fruit/yogurt followed by croissant, cheese, ham, bread, preserves etc - all served on the wonderful terrace looking out at the castle walls.

Patrick prepared a lovely breakfast each morning as we sat out on the terrace overlooking the old city.

Breakfast on a sunny terrace facing La Cité was only one highlight of our stay.

Patrick made us an early breakfast and drove us to the train station himself - as taxis during the Tour de France were an issue.

The location was perfect with the Guesthouse Terrace overlooking the UNESCO listed castle, where we had a delightful breakfast.

Tis truly a beautiful city and the people were amazing..

You are near the castle and the city, ypu can get anywhere with a nice walk.

The key selling point of this splendidly located guest house is the location, with its superb view over attractive gardens to the walled ancient city.

We arrived at mid-day on July 22 with the objective of visiting the old city and watching the finish of a Tour de France stage.

The Guesthouse is located in a very quite area central to and a short walk to the castle and Old Town, the new city, many excellent restaurants and beautiful walks along the river straight in front of the Guesthouse

Patrick and the staff could not do enough for us,they are very welcoming and

Carcassonne guesthouse is in a perfect position overlooking the medieval city and has the added advantage of having a terrace with the same view where a lovely breakfast is served.

Best of all is the easy access into the city

The location of this guest house was excellent, waking distance from both the Medieval City and the Bastide St-Louis.

Comfortable, clean and quiet accomodation with perfect location for both La Cite fortress and city center.

The location is superb with the old city and the new city within 10 mins walk from here, so you can enjoy walks to either the old or new very easily.

The nighttime view of the old city from the terrace is breathtaking.

Patrick is a fantastic host and his guesthouse is situated in a perfect location between the new and old city so everything is accessible easily by foot.

but his proximity to both the new city and the old city is something we enjoyed.

We walked into the city both to sightsee and for the evening meal, fine as long as you can manage a hill.

We stayed there March 7-8, and the weather was unseasonably warm and actually had to turn down the heat because it wasn't that cold out.

Since it was cold and rainy while we were in Carcassonne, breakfast, usually served on the terrace, was moved into Patrick’s living room.

And, of course, the view of the old town from the terrace was stunning--unfortunately, it was cold and rainy when we stayed there so we were unable to take full advantage of it.

On cold or wet days we had breakfast indoors.

We would have walked to the restaurant in the evening if not for cold, windy and showering weather.

We had one night before our holiday cottage was available due to flights, so after some research booked with Patrick here.

Patrick and Brede were welcoming, despite the fact we were over an hour late due to a plane delay and appalling traffic round Toulouse.

A little difficult to get to even with GPS due to one way streets.

It was a little noisy due to it's location.

Since we had to eat inside due to inclement weather, only six guests could be accommodated.

The place is amazing 🥰 perfect location and in walking distance to everything !

The guest house is located on the edge of a park  overlooking the medieval town.

The B&B is very well located just 10 minutes walk to the centre of the main town and 15 minutes walk to the old city citadel, if we pay Carcassonne a return visit the Carcassonne Guesthouse would be my first port of call.

The Guesthouse is also conveniently and quietly located directly in front of a pleasant park which borders the river.

Its location is ideal in that one can walk across the river and up to La Cité and in the other direction to any one of dozens of restaurants in the town.

It may have been the wine or the nice quiet location, or probably both.

The location is perfect for the view on the terrace of the castle and the proximity to the old and new town sights and restaurants.

The location of the Carcassonne Guesthouse couldn't be better - directly across the street from the medieval castle that Carcassonne is known for.

Have just returned from a week at this fabulous gem of a Guesthouse, you won't find a better location for the amazing view of the park and Medieval Castle, also great for exploring the old and new town.

The five minute walk into the Town being on level ground; the walk up to Le Cite taking us probably about 20 minutes as it is necessarily uphill!

We would recommend this property for anyone visiting the old town.

The location is just great for old and new towns, and just on the river.

The location could not be better, perfectly situated in between the new town and the cité.

The location of the B&B was perfect for exploring both the town and the medieval fortress above.

He also suggested restaurants and made reservations, suggested that we visit the lively Saturday market, and gave us directions to visit a beautiful hill town, Minerve, on our way to our next location.

but the key is that it is easily accessible on foot as is the main town below.

also it's a 10 minute walk to the "new town square" where there's a massive selection of bars and restaurants , the railway station is a further 10 minutes walk.

Patrick the guy that owns the guesthouse was really helpful and friendly and pointed us in the right direction for restaurants,bars,walks etc, A must visit is the medieval city its an amazing place and also the square in the town where we just sat and had a glass of wine or two.we will definitely come back.

Enjoyed a delicious room services dinner which was very tasty.

Also Corona measures complicate breakfast and some other services were adjusted.

Hotel has privet parking on the territory, breakfast is good and has everything you need.

It has free onsite parking, a great breakfast, and a swimming pool.

This is a relaxed and comfy hotel, clean and tidy, would have been five stars save the unhelpful bar and restaurant staff.

We had a premium room due to our group size and it was large, clean and comfortable.

The hotel provided a very nice clean comfortable relaxing stay for me and I would stay here again here’s a list of the room amenities that I took advantage of.

On a positive side, the bed was comfy (but the room was overlooking the car park).

The rooms were nice and clean and very comfortable, to the usual Mercure standard.

The staff were vey helpful and cheerful (especially the young apprentice in the Dining Room)
If you want a conveniently situated, comfortable and peaceful stay in this lovely region, I heartily recommend the Mercure.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for families for it's warm welcome, convenient location, and at least in our case, fantastic family room!

However the hotel rooms are small, dated and in bad repair.

Our room was small and over furnished with items from an old folks home.

It was so small we had hardly enough room to place our luggage AND then to walk around the bed.The view was non-existent as we were on the ground floor and looked onto bushes, quite closely.

On first impression, the rooms seem a bit small and the windows are small too.

)Room was quite small, with a very small window, so the room felt dark all the time.

While the room was somewhat small, it was very clean despite definitely needing a bit of an uplift.

Our room was quite small and required some little attention, the standard lamp was not working, the window curtain was not fully fastened up and the wall safe (we've never encountered one like this before) would not open.

This is a pretty standard Mercure, a short walk from the Cite, with plenty of car parking.

The hotel is only a few minutes walk to the Carcassonne castle so after dinner we took a stroll up there.

Lovely hotel beautifully situated for visiting Carcassone City, 5 minutes walk.

It is less than a 10 minute walk to the Cité and well worth going there to explore.

I only booked this hotel because it was a 4 minute walk from the Carcassonne old city.

We statyed for one night in mid August, We were attracted by the proximity to the castle and it didn't dissappoint as it was a 5 minute walk away from the main entrance.

Great hotel, just at the bottom of the medieval city; just a 10min walk up the hill.

We could see the city walls from our window and it only took 5 minutes to walk to the city walls.

Really handy to walk up to the 'Citadel' and down into the lower town.

Breakfast was fine, with bread, pastries, meat, cheese and cereals.

Breakfast served in the very pretty garden was fantastic too.

We had breakfast every day in the lovely garden, so nice to be able to sit outdoors in such relaxing, quiet surroundings, breakfast provided a variety of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, assorted breads and pastries,  a selection of delicious compotes of which the rhubarb one was our particular favourite.

I would recommend breakfasts as the choice was plentiful and coffee was delicious!

We opted for the breakfast each day, which was very enjoyable.

They have a garage for parking (first come first serve) and a wonderful terrace under the shade of trees to enjoy breakfast.

However, our room was on the third floor (the ground floor is floor 0), and there was no elevator, so we had to lug our luggage all the way up four flights of stairs.

and there is no lift - I didn't find this an issue at all

One small note whilst not an issue for us there is no lift and the stairs are a tight curved case

However there are no lifts so it may not be appropriate for those with mobility issues.

We were on the top floor, 3 flights of stair, 60 steps, no lift.

One disadvantage is that there are no elevators and the stairways are narrow,

Room 20 is on third floor (no elevator), with window to look up at the walled old city.

There is not a lift in the hotel so ask for a room on the first floor if you have trouble climbing stairs.

The one downside were the stairs and no lift.

There is no elevator and luckily we were on the 1st floor which we commented on.

The only downside would be the lack of elevator and at time the ac was a bit noisy..  would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to our friends.

Although the rooms are all upstairs and the hotel does not have an elevator, Jean Michael took our luggage up and made sure everything was in order after we checked in.

Everything works very well here and great location for exploring both parts of Carcassonne which is a gem

It is located on a street with  lots of cafés and restaurants, and during peak summer there is a weekly 'night market' on Thursday evenings which is a bonus.

We really appreciated the garage for the car and their location at the foot of the Cité.

Hotel du Pont Vieux enjoys a fantastic position, it is just a nice walk to the ramparts of the Medieval City.

Hotel du Pont Vieux benefits from its location to access both La Cité and the ‘new’ town.

Great location, pleasant rooms, beautiful garden, five star service from arranging taxis, to booking restaurants and offering advice on visits.

but they quickly fixed the issue once I reported. My room was on the top floor (where the terrace is located - the view from there alone makes it worth staying at this hotel!)

The location is brilliant - a ten minute walk to the walled city up a road full of interesting shops and cafes.

It is well located to both La Cite and La Bastide.
