Excellent room, clean and with comfy beds.

This is a relaxed and comfy hotel, clean and tidy, would have been five stars save the unhelpful bar and restaurant staff.

Comfortable if small room with adequate bathroom.

The room was spacious for a family of 5 and beds were comfortable.

but the rooms were comfortable and the location was very convenient to nearby tourist attractions.

We had a premium room due to our group size and it was large, clean and comfortable.

The hotel provided a very nice clean comfortable relaxing stay for me and I would stay here again here’s a list of the room amenities that I took advantage of.

On a positive side, the bed was comfy (but the room was overlooking the car park).

The rooms were nice and clean and very comfortable, to the usual Mercure standard.

The staff were vey helpful and cheerful (especially the young apprentice in the Dining Room)
If you want a conveniently situated, comfortable and peaceful stay in this lovely region, I heartily recommend the Mercure.

The restaurant has a daily menu and the food was very nice

After struggling to find a decent restaurant on Tripadvisor, I asked for recommendations from reception.

The hotel is only a few minutes walk to the Carcassonne castle so after dinner we took a stroll up there.

Enjoyed a delicious room services dinner which was very tasty.

The restaurant staff are very helpful and friendly.

The food point is that the hotel has a secured parking

The rest of the catering staff were male and charming and the food was good

We had multiple rooms and only one was in good condition.

Room was lovely looking out to the pool in a very French style courtyard and room had pool access

The room was nicer, decor was better, and bathroom was cleaner and bigger.

However the hotel rooms are small, dated and in bad repair.

Our room was small and over furnished with items from an old folks home.

It was so small we had hardly enough room to place our luggage AND then to walk around the bed.The view was non-existent as we were on the ground floor and looked onto bushes, quite closely.

On first impression, the rooms seem a bit small and the windows are small too.

)Room was quite small, with a very small window, so the room felt dark all the time.

While the room was somewhat small, it was very clean despite definitely needing a bit of an uplift.

Our room was quite small and required some little attention, the standard lamp was not working, the window curtain was not fully fastened up and the wall safe (we've never encountered one like this before) would not open.

On the downside, our room was very small with only one chair and the plastic cups and very flimsy plastic 'glasses'  were unsatisfactory.

This is such s pity as they let the rest of the staff down.

They gave me their list, which isn’t particularly helpful with no descriptions and all

Pool area and amenities were spotless and all staff were super friendly and very accommodating such as my family member I was traveling with needed to store her medication in fridge and take it out every evening and this was made so simple by staff and they showed us where to get buses also.

Front desk staff was extremely efficient and kind.

Each staff member we interacted with was polite and professional.

but reception were happy to provide coffee and toiletries on request.

This is a pretty standard Mercure, a short walk from the Cite, with plenty of car parking.

Excellent location, only 5-6 minutes walk up to Carcassonne.

Lovely hotel beautifully situated for visiting Carcassone City, 5 minutes walk.

It is less than a 10 minute walk to the Cité and well worth going there to explore.

I only booked this hotel because it was a 4 minute walk from the Carcassonne old city.

We statyed for one night in mid August, We were attracted by the proximity to the castle and it didn't dissappoint as it was a 5 minute walk away from the main entrance.

Great hotel, just at the bottom of the medieval city; just a 10min walk up the hill.

We could see the city walls from our window and it only took 5 minutes to walk to the city walls.

Really handy to walk up to the 'Citadel' and down into the lower town.

Situated right outside the City walls the hotel is in a beautiful location.

Just a few minutes walk to the old city entrance, this hotel is excellently situated for a tourist that likes to walk.

Parking is secure, rooms are spacious and secure and of couse it is an easy walk to the old city down over the bridge and the Citadel - we wished we could have stayed longer.

We enjoyed one restaurant within the old city walls and another further around town, both in easy walking distance.

We loved staying at this hotel. It's proximity to the walled city is fantastic (literally across the street, with great views from the patio.)

The location of this hotel is perfect you are less than a five minute walk to the medieval city and the bus stops.

This hotel is immediately outside the walls of the Old City and provides an excellent view of the walls lit up at night.

This hotel was right smack dab on top of the Old City, literally steps away from this wonderful place.

Stayed in the refurbished annexe which is smart, clean and very comfortable with big beds and large well appointed bathrooms.

Our room was comfortable and clean and had a lovely outdoor sitting area.

Room was clean and tidy and located in the wing across the road which was fine as we used it for a base, decor was a bit 'loud' for our taste.

Bedlinen and pillows were good and very clean.

Excellent location very close to the main entrance to the Cité.

Nevertheless, this hotel just a few minutes away from the main Cite entrance is ideal and watching tourists lugging baggage, battling crowds and medieval pavement reinforces this  choice.

We have chosen this hotel because it is close to the entrance of the citadel (5 min walk) and it;s view of the castle wall.

Entrance to the castle is 5 minutes walk.

Hotel is right at the entrance of the Carcassonne castle.

It is located just outside la Cite (The porte Narbonnaise, (our entrance) is the nicest entrance to La Cite, as it has the draw bridge).

About a 3 -4 minute walk to the Port d'Narbonnaise entrance (east side) of the Citi.

There is secure parking at the hotel, with access via the hotel entrance and past the gardens,

You just cross the small road and outside the hotel and climb a few steps to get to the entrance of the castle.

This comfortable hotel is located directly across from the main entrance to La Cite, the walled medieval fortress that is the primary tourist site in the city.

Positioned barely more than a couple hundred yards from the main entrance to Le Cite it really could not be better situated

although there is a nice breakfast cafe right inside the castle entrance up the main street on the right hand side.

The hotel is located just a few steps away form the entrance door to the old city, which makes it a really good choice!

"Charming hotel, astounding views, helpful staff, lovely room AND an adorable old Basset Hound to greet you!

This venue is filled with beautiful and stylish details in decoration, from the moment you park your car to the minute you enter the room.

We four friends had a suite which had a huge living room four big bedrooms three toilets and two shower rooms o e with a bath.

The check in at the building across the road was made smoother by the staff meeting us outside and showing us where to park and lead us to the room.

but with modern design and nice terrace, unfortunately some ants in the room.

Rooms at Montmorency a bit quirky and decoration won’t suit all

I spend 3 very upsetting hours waiting for the Hotel and expedia to resolve the issue and provide me with the room that I had already paid for.

Rooms comfortable colors are certainly interesting if slightly different.

we were shown two alternative rooms, picked room 41 which is lovely and settled in, no fuss, no hassle.

A small fridge and kettle in the room would have been great

We got a room in a nearby separate set of rooms with hideous  interior color walls (ours was bright lemon yellow)

rooms are very small,  decor is very taste specific. .

It was really expensive for only a tiny room with a small bath.

We had a Junior Suite in the Montmorency, across the road from the mail building, despite this the room was very small.

Ask them form tips on wine and location scouting and you will get some good advice!The rooms are quite small

I'm not giving it five stars because the room was so small and tight and we had requested a quiet room and we got a room far from quiet.

It’s great appeal is the location a skip and a jump and through the Cité wall , nice short walk on a hot day.

What a fantastic location, just outside the walls of the old fortified town, made it very easy to explore.

but the bathroom and shower were fine, and the hotel is a short 10 minute (at most) easy amble up the hill into the castle’s walls.

Our room was okay, just strangely decorated in wild hot pink and black, with large faces on one wall.

The room had a largish balcony which looked directly out on to the Medieval city wall.

At that property you can enjoy a very good breakfast on the terrace by the cit walls and relax by the charming pool.

Tour of the castle and other sites within the walls the next day, AND also took in the local Sunday open air market in the citie square - also something to try for if your schedule permits.

Again this second room was very garish - bright yellow walls & curtains, ugh!
