Breakfast is excellent, wide range of choice and a gorgeous view as you eat.

The food was superb never a bad meal and the wine was fantastic, the breakfast which was included in your stay was magnificent.

The hotel is not high tech, it is quaint and the people who run it are the nicest ever. They offer a free shuttle to downtown Sorrento 3 times a day in the morning and you just call for a ride "home."

They have a free shuttle bus every hour for when you want into town so no transport problems.

The hotel is up in the hills with an amazing view of the sea and sunset, there is a free shuttle bus every hour to take you back and forth to town.

The free shuttle was perfect in that, Il Nido is the FINAL hotel pick-up in the morning to Sorrento proper, and the FIRST hotel drop-off at the end of the day.

The view Sorrento was a quick free shuttle away.

The free shuttle bus to town is convenient and puts you right in the heart of the town.

Also, the hotel has a free shuttle they share with 3-4 other close by hotels.

The free shuttle bus for guests takes you to and from town several times a day, according to schedule.

The hotel is on the hills above Sorrento and is well serviced by a regular free shuttle and a cheap public bus service.

Third, the free shuttle bus is very convenient.

The hotel is up the hillside above Sorrento and there is a free shuttle operating in the morning and from late afternoon until late.

They have a free shuttle that takes you to the city center every 30 minutes with late hours.

but even better dinner when you can sit and enjoy sunrise or sunset , they have free shuttle to go to the town so you do not need worry about your transportation but they also offer plenty parking spots , one thing is missing- is a pool .

We very much appreciated the free shuttle and arrangements for a boat tour the hotel made for us.

We had breakfast included, and the freshly squeezed orange juice and the pastries were amazing.

The breakfast is a self serve buffet and one highlight is the fresh squeezed orange juice, the oranges from this area have a nice sweetness and makes an excellent OJ.

Breakfasts in the restaurant with a great view over the Bay of Naples, were excellent with pastries, bread, fruit, cereals, cakes, eggs, fresh make-your-own orange juice, real coffee etc.

The orange juice maker and coffee maker made my day every day :) There were many breakfast options- from fruit to pastries to hard boiled eggs, etc.

The breakfast was the best pastries I’ve had  in a very long time at any hotel and I also sampled the lunch and dinner and a few house wines, all while enjoying the beautiful views.

Breakfast at the hotel was great, there was plenty of selection and like the other reviews the pastries were amazing.

After only have a continental style breakfast in Rome it was great to have some bacon and eggs along with an assortment of pastries and breads as well as some cold cuts and fresh cheeses.

Breakfast has plenty of different options from superb pastries to cold meats, yummy bread, hash browns, avocado and more. We had dinner at the hotel twice and we were super impressed- great price, great food and stunning view ( try the seafood risotto!)

I’m going to miss the fresh squeezed orange juice, cold meats and beautiful pastries whilst taking in the stunning view.

Rooms were clean and spacious with a superb view ( we had 2 rooms as there were 5 of us ) breakfast was good and also a couple of meals in the evening that we had were delicious!

We could not stay here as the odor permeated the room.

Ask about the Shortcut into town and burn off some of the Calories.

The negative: room smelled of smoke,  & the bed was not the most comfortable, I'm sure they would have changed my room if i requested it,  overall its good value.

Our only criticism is that people were allowed to smoke on here.

After we turned on the AC, the smell went away.

There's a musty smell to the hotel and rooms,

Somebody complained here about mouldy smell - if you are allergic to this, it´s better to avoid the inner side rooms (without view), maybe it´s due to this way of building, I didn´t find it disturbing.

We just opened the doors to the terrace when we got back to our room and this got rid of the smell.

When we entered this room we both could immediately sense the stench of mold in the room, and we declined the “better” room.

although it was a little damp down there.

Second, there was some noticeable mould around the air-vent of the bathroom.

Our room smelled like cigarette smoke so we complained to the reception and got a free upgrade to a sea view room.

However, our bathroom smelled like sewers!

Unfortunately I could not stay here again, nor would I recommend it because of the prevalent mold everywhere.

The only reason this review isn't perfect is that the curtains, bed cover and table cloths had a smell of dust and there is no room for personal belongings in the bathroom.

I cannot thank the staff enough for our incredible stay.

All of the staff were very welcoming, helpful, and hard-working.

First and foremost, the owner/manager (I think he was the owner) was the BEST!

You can hear roosters crowing in the morning and the nearby evening church bells set the stage for a relaxing stay.

The Hotel owners cannot be more helpful, looking after your every need.

Another minor niggle was that the towels were rather thin.

The towels are awful - they are actually thin pique blankets and not real towels.

It should be noted that the towels are not American style.

The towels were the quality of thin, cheap tablecloths!

The shower towels are also terrible so if you have your own towels it is better to use it.

If you want plush towels, freezing cold AC and modern furnishings, this is not for you.

Firstly the hotel itself is amazing, the views are excellent and the rooms are spotlessly clean.

but ours had a spectacular view of the Bay of Naples, with Mount Vesuvious clearly visible across the bay.

Lovely hotel,clean,views on the mount vesuvus so beautiful and peacefull.

The room was perfect for 4 people with balcony with an amazing view.

Varenna, just across the lake from Bellagio, is also worth a half day visit for the nice walk along the lakeside into the town, a visit to the little chapel of S. Giorgio and perhaps a visit to the extended gardens of Villa Monastero.

There is some beautiful villas to visit on Lake Como, Melzi in Bellagio is 6 Euros for the garden and chapel, you cannot get into the villa itself.

The excellent maitre d' Donatello at the onsite restaurant  La Terrazza Belvedere is very attentive, polite, accommodating and made us feel so welcomed and right at home.

Had dinner at La Terrazza and it was not that good - not nearly as good as we expected.

although we tried different restaurants in the lake area, including Michelin-starred ones, we looked forward most to the dinners we had at our hotel restaurant, La Terrazza, which serves outdoors in fine weather and indoors in rain.

While the view never changes, one of the most amazing changes this trip was new Chef Luca Orini at La Terrazza Ristorante at the hotel.

We were treated to outstanding meals at the hotel restuarant La Terrazza along with impeccable service.

The food, the drinks, the room, the views  not sure I could have asked of anything more.

but just steps away, making it a prime location, quiet and convenient for popping down to shops and restaurants.

After reading reviews and overhearing people discuss the expensive restaurant we cancelled our booking there and pleased we did.

but eating, drinking, lying out, working out, going to the spa and reading.

I pampered myself in the incredible state-of-the-art spa facility, enjoyed the culinary expertise of the chef at breakfast & dinner each day & was blown away by the warmth of every single staff member.

Eat dinner there, and breakfast for two mornings.

I second the other reviews on the levels of service .. the hotel was full yet the service levels at the pool bar, restaurants, reception were outstanding .

Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day, as were lunches by the pool.

So the staff composed four takeout boxes for the two of us with a wonderful selection of breakfast foods.

Our room had the most beautiful views across Lake Como & a wonderful patio area (sadly due to October weather we didn’t make as much use of this as would have liked)

We had a lovely, newly renovated room with a balcony that was very large.

Room 110 was spectacular, with stunning views from the oversized balcony/terrace.

To offer several examples, the luxurious array of body washes and lotions are noteworthy, the larger trashcans without lids uncommon in most hotel rooms are much easier to navigate, the breakfast is one of the best we’ve ever had, and the room service food is so good you might want to have your nightly dinners in your room.

Our room  was the bilevel suite with lake view and fit my family of four perfectly.

We had a garden room with lake view balcony.

She personally escorted us to our room, a Junior Suite with stunning lake view.

They have a complimentary spa (though massages/services are additional, as expected)—a steam room, sauna room, and other amenities—all very clean and modern.

We had a gorgeous 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment with a kitchen and living room.

We liked their Spa, especially the mountain salt room and perfume showers.

The hotel and rooms were super clean and nice.

The room was comfortable, the bathroom was a large size, and the staff was really wonderful.

This is a five star hotel - truly exceptional service, breakfast buffet (high-class Italian style with meats, cheeses, breads, fruit, made-to-order breakfasts that are not like the usual high fat in the US), location & room (view of lake from public area of hotel & many rooms).

Bellagio is ‘the Pearl of Lake Como’ & Hotel Belvedere is definitely the Pearl of Lake Como with its stunning views of Lake Como from its beautiful rooms overlooking Lake Como.

The rooms having a stunning view, the pool area is comfortable and the breakfast is fantastic and relaxing all at the same time.

Its high up the mountain so even the lower rooms have great views

Quick 5-10 mins walk to all restaurants and shops

The staff is outstanding- speak great English.

7 days of paradise: our stay in Belvedere was outstanding, the view of our room was magical I really do suggest to take either these room when you book 605-606-607, they are comfort rooms with lake view, so they do have their own patios, you can spend ur time just sitting in ur patio enjoying the mesmerizing views of lake como and enjoying the peacefulness of the place, staying in Belvedere makes you forget that you are staying in the super touristic bellagio, like you are staying in a resort in a magical place in the mountains.

This has to be the by far the best hotel in Bellagio
Our comfort room is magnificent and everything is high quality, the view from the room terrace is perfect,  with full view of the lake and the little town of Pescallo
Front desk staff are very professional, cheerful and they are very eager to help.

The view from our room was spectacular, the staff friendly and the restaurant delicious and friendly (very helpful for my husband who is gluten free.

We had a room with view towards the street as that was significantly cheaper than the lake view room.
