Depending on the sun's position, one side of the main pool can become shady in the late afternoon, so the chairs on the sunny side are at a premium and taken by 7 a.m.!

Go somewhere less expensive to get value!

But if pool seating is important to you be aware of Palace’s peculiar paid membership/timeshare structure before booking.

You do get what you pay for and in Le Blanc's case, that is very much the case.

Le Blanc is expensive compared to the other resorts in Cancun,

This would never happen at the Ritz or St. Regis, where you pay similar prices without the literal and figurative smoke.

Imagine the best meal you have had in the most expensive restaurant anywhere in the world.

I would say that their branding is NOT consistent with what they actually deliver given that they are the most expensive hotel in Cancun.

How do they expect individuals to pay thousands of dollars and not be able to utilize the entire beach?

For example, our couples massage was $900 so w/ 16% charge, we still paid $144+Tip.

While Le Blanc is expensive, it is worthwhile for the absolute pampering and indulgent experience.

We think the cost or price you pay to stay there is a real value to live even for a short while in a paradise that you have never experienced before because when you leave you are totally revitalized like no other vacation you have every taken.

We were not even at any of the premium or elite  levels,

Really a scam, where you can only spend the amount on certain items and not-so-good excursions, and spa treatments that seemed way overpriced, so that there is always a residual that you need to pay.

Angel brought everything out smoothly and professionally.

The entire staff at Leblanc Resort & Spa Cancun were amazing, and the food in all of the restaurants was absolutely delicious!

Roberto & Santiago were there every morning & evening to greet us with a warm reception and accommodate their guests.

The staff at this hotel were so friendly and helpful.

We also found that everyone who worked there was friendly and kind and helpful.

This is a fantastic resort, made so by the warm hospitality of the staff.

My husband is the type to talk to everyone, and we both enjoy getting to know the staff and learn about their families and their experiences,

butlers Juan and Saul were extremely kind and efficient.

We LOVE LeBlanc, We are a retired professional couple that has been going to LeBlanc a couple of times a year for many years.

The staff are trained so well and all seem very happy to be there.

butlers Eduardo and Luis were attentive and met every need - couldn’t have asked for better!

butlers and the spa employees were especially wonderful, tending to our every need.

The staff was all so amazing and attentive!

Our concierge Jeha went above and beyond and had everything prepared for us before our arrival.

His attention to detail, personalized service, and genuine hospitality elevated our stay to new heights.

Great place and greater service, friendly staff, Antonio was great, the staff made the experience better than expected specially when they knew we left our original resort “ Beloved” due to horrible experience, they made it up .

We’ve been lucky enough to have stayed at quite a few nice hotels - The Breakers WPB, Four Seasons DC, NYC, xCaret Arte, Waldorf Astoria Chicago, Viceroy Los Cabos to name a few and LeBlanc Cancun was by far our favorite.

The only thing I would say which is not the hotels fault is, that I would make sure my room didn’t end in 08, 10 or 12 as it’s next the the elevator and can be noisy late at night or/and early in the morning.

Barging into the elevator before those arriving have had a chance to get off.

The biggest complaint I heard was the elevators.

Areas for improvement:

The elevator situation is REAL slow.

2 out of 4 elevators are broken at all times.

The elevators are dirty and just plain  worn out.

The lights went out on us on the elevator!

The only thing that really needs attention right away is the elevators.

Because this is a tall hotel style building, we found the hallway to be quite loud when trying to sleep, especially since our room was directly in front of an elevator.

The hotel downside is the elevators and ensuing wait times.

Moving around the building is somewhat difficult as stairways are closed, elevators get packed up and take long time.

Elevators are a nightmare, it was small and constantly passing floors.

The entire 7days involved elevator issues.

Only minor negatives, there are only four small elevators for 14 floors, so you have to be patient at peak times or find stairs.

but expect to be caught in elevators, restaurant lines, buffet crowds.

-the towel game is exhausting (I don’t blame anyone who wants a chair, but the hotel needs to move towels and stuff if people are holding places at both the beach and pool for hours while they eat breakfast and get manicures)
- the elevators are small and they take quite a while

Even at the furthest room here, you're maybe 100 steps to the elevator to breakfast, another 100 steps to the pool and 200 more steps to the beach.

but what we learned to do was if u were going up and the elevator was going down or vice versa.

The staff were fantastic and went out their way to do the utmost.

Great staff, restaurant variety and excellent quality food.

We have stayed at The Beach Palace Cancun many times and every time the staff makes our stay unforgettable.

We were impressed by the speed with which the hotel staff addressed our feedback.

We always look forward to reconnecting with other members who travel the same week and seeing the wonderful staff.

We particularly enjoyed the pizzas at Tavola and want to give a shout out to our server Daniel Calderas who recognized our family by name when we returned there for a second time later in the week, as did the manager of Gondola, Yair.

The staff leads activities about once an hour.

I will say that the service staff still did a great job under the circumstances.

Service in all departments was efficient.

We stayed patient for hours and consistently checked in with the front desk

Jesus, Alfredo, and Bernabe at the beach were extremely attentive and made sure we had everything we needed each day - it was so nice getting to know them over the week.

These are the employees that stood out to us: Jesus, Alfredo, Bernabe, Alejandra, Dante, Silvino, and Saul.

Would like to know how staff preparing food have been washing their hands.

The front desk and reps lie about everything. Everything.

They are an asset to the resort for sure!

I would like to take time to acknowledge some of the excellence I had while at Beach Palace November 2nd – 11th.

Their app is extremely helpful for ordering room service or to schedule early breakfasts like we did on days we went to Xcaret or Chichen Itzà.

I insisted that we should not be charged and reluctantly they 'waived' the additional fee for us.

Which tells me they're probably not getting paid what they deserve.

They don’t provide them anymore and charge $12 USD for a metal straw.

The spa - They were running a promotion to get an 80 minute massage at the price for a 50 minute so I took advantage of it plus they added on Hydrotherapy treatment.

As I explained to him a bunch of people were upset they couldn’t sit in or by the pool unless they paid $80 for a cabana each day (which came with 2 loungers in the pool) As Mr.Rojas explained to me this money grab was put in place by previous management

There is also entertainment every day and night, with a range of shows and classes at no extra cost.

The only downsides of our stay were the terrible sales pitch on check in, super misleading and time wasting. He promised a three minute chat to provide us our welcome package, turned into a 15 minute guilt trip to sign up for a 90 minute sales pitch saying "he wouldn't get paid if we didn't attend."

And far too many hidden fees, especially for things which should have been included (ex: a chair by the pool or on the beach, a seat to watch the nightly entertainment , etc. ).

Once those are taken, you either have to pay for a chair or cabana, or find a place to store your stuff.

but not if I could find something close to price.

He told me if I paid him I could sit there.

Little if any consideration for the guests unless you want to pay extra as in the seating around the pool and at the beach.

This is additional cost and is not cheap.

though it's an all inclusive, there are plenty of things they want you to pay an extra charge for so just stick to the normal menus and you'll be fine!

but the only way you could get a poolside chair is if you pay money for a cabana.

The number one reason I continue to go to this same resort is the staff and specifically Eloisa Miss, she's phenomenal!

Shout out to Sebastian who made sure we had everything we needed at the beach party!

The service was incredible and everyone was so kind.

I would like to thank all of the staff for their outstanding service.

The staff went above and beyond, making our engagement truly memorable.

It’s our second time here and we will keep coming back because the staff is wonderful and goes so far beyond any place we have ever been

Humberto Rodriguez was attentive to our needs every evening no matter what areas of the resort we found ourselves.

Dinner was very good in all the restaurants, The staff is very friendly and great.

Their helpfulness and hospitality certainly enhance the overall experience, making Hyatt Zilara a standout destination.

From the very beginning, everybody was so welcoming and so attentive.

Building is beautiful, food is great, staff good and beach is perfect.

The staff were engaging and provided exception service to cater to your every need--"service from the heart"!

Overall, it was a relaxing trip and the staff were great.

Note- we went to Xcaret for the day and the food there was 100 times better than the Mexican food (which I love) at the hotel.

There was also Hotel Xcaret a little farther back with the family which was outstanding.

Hyatt Zilara Cancun

We had a half empty bottle of conditioner to work with for 5 days.

We did participate in their membership presentation, and Nubor Marilou and Oscar were all lovely too, while we did not join (it really just wouldn’t make sense for how we travel) there was no pressure or follow up to try and push the topic.

I was given a room with a bathroom issue and they immediately changed me.

More specifically, the sharp metal shelf to the right of the sink,  above the garbage can.

Closet doors that don't work, leaking shower and aircon.

The shampoo/conditioner were provided in miniscule containers (kind of a single use for someone with short hair) and trying to get more  was a nightmare.

We reported our shower head spraying all over the place the first morning

Big mistake, because at a moments notice they will deny this included amenity for no reason at all.

If you are looking for high end amenities, this is not the place for you-

The bathroom was very small with a tiny sink and no space for anything.

One of the bathrooms were a bit smelly and one leaked water into to bedroom when showering.

The pillows were super uncomfortable to sleep on, the furnishing/details were super cheap, our water pressure was basically spewing out instead having a smooth stream, and the mini fridge was poorly stocked.

but the bathroom sink was clogged and the safe wasn't working.

The rooms are old and you can smell the drains, there's mold in the shower.

The bathrooms were in really bad shape as well, the air conditioner leaked water all 6 days we were there and was a HAZARD.

When we arrived, the overhead light in our room wouldn't turn on and the toilet wouldn't flush.

The shower was a triangle, which was hard to manage.

For what we paid for a Villa, is was so disappointing.

Also, I made my reservation directly with the hotel (cheaper than Expedia) and  let them know I was not interested in being a vip member.

The workers don't see the money from an all inclusive they get paid the same whether you are there with a package or not.

but in no way justifies the price per night they are asking!

We were initially concerned "all-inclusive" wouldn't be worth the price,

but edible, however, the dinner buffet  is so bad and it is so hard to get the reservations at the restaurants, that despite having paid for the all-inclusive stay, we had lunch and dinner at nearby restaurants.

We paid a $900 deposit and then immediately changed our minds.

I’ve never paid the highest price to get kicked in the metaphorical nuts so repeatedly.

The only reason I don’t rate it a 5 is because I requested double beds and got king size.

Food is not worth what you pay to be at this hotel.

but from what we could gather the excursions were a bit pricey.

I paid for a two hour snorkeling trip that ended up as a 4.5 hour beach taxi dropping people off all over the island.

Anyone could tell me right now that they would pay for a trip there again and I would 100% say no.

For what they charge to stay at the resort, the food should be MUCH better.

The location is amazing, and the service from house keeping and food service was real great, BUT…the front desk and concierge are a bunch of pushy sales people.

My first time on the hotel and i really love the view  with good service , food , good place to do snorkel from all the staff of reception and professional concierge rich , Manager Yuri, Isabel, Nancy and Kevin .

The custodial staff will knock and bother you at 8 or 9 in the morning, and don’t speak a lick of English.

Especially Mr. Mario the waiter's captain, he was attentive and polite.

The buffet was ample for breakfast & the servers were all sweet and attentive.

They have a beautiful pool you can sit and be served a refreshment as you soak in the pool.The activities at Xcaret were great.

I am simply asking for the 250K points that I was charged (significantly more than the nightly rate I had booked) be refunded for the inconvenience.

Our only complaint is that you have to give pool cards to get towels

There is a snack shop downstairs where you get buy coffee, drinks, snacks, etc.—you can charge it to the room if you don’t have your credit card.

And got a card to go to the fitness center to change.

They let us keep our towel cards so we could use the pool until it was time to leave, and even gave us a key card for the fitness centre in case we wanted to shower before heading to the airport.

(Those cards are returned at check-out, so you won’t be charged for lost/missing beach towels.)

Pool towel cards - we didn't get them at check-in & were not sure what was supposed to happen.

They said they have no record of another card being scanned at the door except my brother - in - in law's.

He stated that at check out which was 4 days from my bad experience ,he will remove the charge.

If you lose the towel or the card, you’ll get charged 350 pesos.

I don’t need your hundred dollar credit.

I am disputing the charge with my credit card company since Marriott/Westin refuse to cooperate.

Not worth the money they are charging and to top it off poor customer service.

Our concierge, Angie, went above and beyond to help us with restaurant reservations, schedule our COVID tests at the hotel prior to our return to the U.S.,  and resolve a problem with a lost discount card.

They can only charge $1000.00 USD per transaction, after 4 times of doing this my bank would not authorize the charges as it looks very suspicious!

At check out we did not receive the $50each credit and was told front desk doesn’t handle this issue.

Given their deceptive practices with the charge I will urge anybody reading this to kindly stay elsewhere and spare yourself from this fraud that the Westin is committing knowingly.

they offer you $100 credit and 10%off your bill if h/w both listen to a 1 1/2 hour sales presentation.

Cons:   Early morning phone calls, mediocre food at best, limited amenities, misleading marketing, strange layout, just a little dirty around the edges (stairwells, etc.).

We observed the requirements to not come within 30 feet of them, no flashes on the phone, etc.

I had to call the hotel about six times the week prior to arrival since they couldn’t find the reservation anywhere.

but front desk is rude and could care less where your standings is with Marriott their only intent is to sell you Time Share, for that they call you constantly.

Other - housekeeping rang our doorbell several at 8 am for god knows what given they hadn’t come in until 6 pm the previous evening.

We also had housekeeping ring our doorbell several times at 8 am on the day of check out which was very confusing given they didn’t come until 6 pm the previous evening.

but I was refused any form of assistance until I threatened to call the police.

The registration clerk makes a phone call and scratches out 927 and replaces it with 721. We ask "Is this a better room?"

You did not disclose when we booked, even after calling the Elite Marriot line yesterday, that being a 20+ year Marriot Ambassador does not mean a dang thing at this location.

We asked if they could call a restaurant to find out if they allow take-out orders and they refused, so we didn’t need to make an outbound call.

However, the daily call from the concierge desk is maddening.

My wife repeatedly requested a car seat beforehand (email, calls) for the shuttle from the airport to the hotel.

but what they call the leadership crew is sub-par to say the least.

I didn't care for the constant calls about signing up for the timeshare presentation; too much pressure after I said no several times to several people.

After calling the reception, someone came to repair the door.

Travel tip: if you really want to enjoy the beach, consider traveling in the fall because the seaweed (I believe they call it sargassum) is weird and smells funny.

It was only fixed after four phone calls and three trips by maintenance.
