It was absolutely a wonderful vacation for us!

We can safely say this was the best holiday we’ve experienced.

Also special thanks to the duty manager, Braulio, who did his best to enjoy our holidays and made sure that we could leave in time when our taxi did not show up.

Highly recommend for a special occasion or a luxurious getaway!

We have had a fantastic honeymoon and we could not have wished for a better holiday.

This was a great couples getaway destination and I would recommend to anyone looking for a romantic relaxing getaway with great food.

Overall we’d highly recommend the TRS hotel it was peaceful and a perfect honeymoon getaway.

Just returned from a fabulous holiday at TRS Yucatan.

I have never been on such a beautiful, relaxing vacation!

We also would like to highly commend Martha at Helios who was friendly , accommodating , and looked after us throughout our entire holiday.

A daytrip to the maya ruins in Tulum, a snorkel adventure with sea turtles, a swim in a cenote followed with an authentic mexican dinner in a local restaurant of the beaten path, made our mini vacation complete.

Absolutely 100 percent best vacation I have ever experienced.

After two great trips to TRS Coral resort including our wedding back in February 2023 we decided to give TRS Yucatan a try on a long weekend, pre-holiday getaway and it did not disappoint!!!

Was able to access the X parks within 20 minutes which makes it an attractive option rather than staying in Cancun and spending time to travel back and forth.

We done trips to Tulum, Xplor park, Chichen Itza, Coco Bongos and Isla Mujeres which were all very accessible and not too far 

Facilities 
THE SPA.

Our second was to Xplore adventure park which we loved, so much fun!

We walked the beach and we saw the Water Park - I didn't see any kids using it

If you’re traveling with Kids, the White Sands or Colonial would be best (colonial has a full kids water park).

The staff at TRS Yucatan hits it out of the park!

Rooms:
I stayed in Villa 68, room 34 with a park view (Junior suite with no pool).

Sitting in the outside lounge after an awesome meal at LeBoheme, I had to review this awesome Band Le Park!

Pools / Resorts 
 - The pools in every hotel was as you would expect a really good pool, each one was very clean and well maintained our faves were the one near the beach situated on the 4th resort ( kantenah ) we enjoyed that one as it was a very big one and overall a good vibe perfect for kids as there is a mini water park right next to it.

The level of service was incredible, every want was tended to, the food at TRS was incredible (including the buffet), my husband and i enjoyed the live entertainment every night, two incredible performances by LA Park and Crazy New Town, also the Chic Cabaret was incredible.

Located in a natural park and first line the beach, the TRS Hotel offers everything you can expect from a luxurious hotel.

We went to Xplor park for one day and we loved the experience - definitely look into it if your active thrill-seekers!

We did an excursion to Xel Ha natural water park which we booked through the excursion team at the hotel, transfer picked us up and bought us back straight to the hotel lobby, the ticket price included all food and drinks and we had a fabulous day snorkelling, rafting, zip lining, cliff jumping.. it was a real fun day out and an amazing experience snorkelling over so many fish and sting ray.

And visit the other resorts, they even have a mini crocodile park!

Alex at the infinity pool kept bringing us drinks without us asking and he made sure we were enjoying our time.

The Infinity Pool and Saltwater Pool were amazing.

With the exception of waiting for towels at the pool(s), the exceptional staff and concierge service made up for it!

Throughout our stay, we moved around the various pools, some with live music and others that were more peaceful (the ‘quiet’ pools).

The lobbies, villas, restaurants, bars, garden and pool areas, the standard of cleanliness is excellent everywhere.

We loved the pools throughout the resort.

The 3 pools give you the possibility to change scenery and enjoy different places in the hotel.

We saw staff stop others coming to the pools that were not allowed.

Pool:
The setting around the infinity pool is beautiful and serene.

The pools were all clean and well-maintained,

Pool rooms didn’t offer the privacy we needed.

We spend the majority of time by the infinity pool, eating breakfast and lunch at Helios, where all the staff were fantastic and greeted us by name every morning, food and drink was of high standard with great cocktails and great service, even bringing us cocktails in the pool.

There are fish in the moat that you can feed from your balcony hot tub jacuzzi.

The infinity pool grill was a nice feature

The saltwater pool was our absolute favourite for swimming!

Next to our private pool, on the beach, along the winding pathway, in the pretty water feature.

Luckily, there was a nice couple that had a private company they booked outside of the hotel for airport transport that heard what was going on and offered us to get a ride with them if the company they were with allowed - the company did

We had private reformer Pilates classes with the resorts trainer, Elizabeth, every morning (which are included at no extra charge!).

There is a private TRS section with a bar and food and the ocean is amazing with such soft sand!

We loved sitting outside by the private pool and using the pool since we went during one of the hottest, humid months of the year there.

Our suite with a large private infinity pool was spectacular and allowed us to seclude ourselves and enjoy some time together each day.

It is surrounded by jungle and felt very private.

We used the jacuzzi a few times, it worked great, was quiet and felt private.

but if I went back in the summer I would get the private pool.

Wonderful breakfasts at Capricho every morning, followed by relaxations at the tidal pool or private TRS beach drinking exotic elixers recharged our batteries.

We also utilized our private pool which had lovely shade on the day we couldn’t find anything.

There is a private TRS beach area about a fifteen minute walk from the TRS main area.

but quite private, and was pleasant at the end of the day.

Whilst there we booked a private romantic dinner at the Ixmucane Grand Cenote which was so lovely.

I feel this one was north worth it than the romance buglalo that was a “upgrade” we were right next to the infinity pool and had a private pool to ourselves.

Very knowledgable, kept to a good schedule and readjusted the trip so we visited the cenote first so we could have a private swim!

It was a great experience to have the option to try both rooms

If you need to take a shower before your room is ready, they have a very clean little private shower space for men and women (see attached photo).

but for the cost, I would expect more than 2 restaurants that stay open.

Maria worked at the bar by the infinity pool grill and she made the best cocktails and drinks and was so nice to us.

Gorgeous grounds, excellent food options.

The New Year eve special dinner was great could use a little more elaborate menu.

We went to Tentazione (Italian dinner) and the food was great.

The French, Italian and Argentenian restaurants were also great.

The food in some of the restaurants  can be inconsistent

He másé great suggestions - this is how we tried one of our best desserts ever (verrine de coco. ).

Helios: The breakfast / brunch buffet spread was incredible.

The food in every restaurant was great and I have never experienced service like this before.

Furthermore, the culinary experience, while generally satisfactory, could benefit from a broader variety of options in Chic Cabaret Restaurant.

We tried all restaurants and as per usual, the service and the staff were great.

The moonlight dinner, (once a month at full moon) was fantastic, best dinner we had.

however they do smell damp and musty, as does the bedding.

As much as we tried to get rid of the smell, it persisted throughout our stay.

All of our clothes and room smell like mildew.

but smelled like mildew for our entire stay.

The smell was overpowering and our clothes were constantly wet.

The Room-
We stayed in block 69 it did have a musty smell about it, not sure what it is it did not seem to go either whilst we were there, our room had the jacuzzi on the balcony

As it is in most humid places, the pillows and sheets smelled moldy/sour.

The room had a terrible smell and we experienced a power outage twice!

The rooms with the jacuzzi do not have a damp (I use that word lightly no rooms has a bad smell) smell at all they are probably the better condition of the rooms especially top floor the room cleaning and turn down was always perfect .

Would I class it as a 5* hotel definitely not more like 3.5 at a push, room was musty and damp and really smelt, everything looked a bit tired, food was hit and miss, some restaurants were better than others, wine was awful unless you pay more for better wine.

Your basket will consist of stale bread and cold unseasoned steak slices.

This room had no issues with smells or allergy triggers,

Great experience would go agian ,but I wouldn't get the pool suite next time due to the fowl smell coming from the standing water by our room and the cart guys that pick you up if you weren't from their hotel like Colonial they wouldn't take anywhere I would have to wait for an TRS buggy.

The only downfall was a strong smell of drains in our room and the attitude of a male receptionist at Zentropia…we were hardly ever in the room so decided not to complain and for the receptionist…hmm let’s just assume he had a bad day.

People were smoking at the sun loungers and even in the pool despite there being a non smoking policy.

Also, some stains on the toilet and molds in shower room

They advertise the wish list but it was something we never got which was disappointing, daily we had to ask for fridge to be topped up 
Overview the hotel it's nice but  felt there was alot of inconsistencies.

We were not expecting to be choking on cigarette smoke in a country where it is apparently illegal to smoke except in designated areas.

We were on honeymoon so it was about relaxing, last two days was slightly impacted  by next door smoking drugs on the balcony & partying all night.

The Spa is amazing and so are the pools and the beach.

Language barrier (expected based on non-English-speaking location/culture), inconsistent service quality and cleanliness of the spa were the downsides

butlers, reception, spa, bellboys) they were all magnificent.

This year  I needed a longer more intense massage and Victor did an amazing job for me at the spa.

We had massages at the spa and it was great.

The spa was nice, and we enjoyed massages and the hydrotherapy experience.

We also used the Spa where my wife had a massage and we both used the hydrotherapy circuit, this is a pleasant place to spend the afternoon to relax with a very chilled atmosphere

Spa and facilities were the state of the art.

We got appointments for two massage sessions which were very communicative and accommodating.

Zentopia, the resorts spa and gym were perfect and had everything we needed in terms of weights and cardio equipment.

Other
We enjoyed a couples massage, make sure you go early to enjoy the rest of the facilities and the juice bar.

Spa:  We adored the Zentropia Spa and pool.

The Zentropia spa was a very tranquil and relaxing experience from start to finish.

All three of us had massages at Zentropia, which where nice,

Friendly service from all the staff, from Uziel at check in, check out to the constant attention of our Butlers Antonio, Daniel and Miguel, our waiter Fernando at El Gaucho and rest of the wait staff, pool staff, spa staff, drivers, bartender's and housekeepers.

I was amazed by how many of the staff remembered me.

The entire staff is so kind and accommodating.

We’ve traveled all over the world and have never had a more considerate attentive and kind staff ready to help us in every way.

We had Victor as our server and he was so kind and happy.

The staff at TRS Yucatan were so friendly - whether it be the serving staff, housekeeping or maintenance - it didn’t matter who they were, when they walked by they always had a smile on their face and said hello.

Staff basically did everything they could to say yes to every request.

Susana, our concierge, was a delight and went over and above to help make our experience amazing - they did a special birthday room for my special day too!

This was our 4th trip to Mexico and first time at TRS Yucatan, it’s the best one we’ve stayed in - I would highly recommend this hotel if you appreciate attentive service

Service was very professional, quick and preview.

The staff in general is very friendly and helpful, waiters, cleaning staff etc.

but specifically enjoyed seeing some of the staff from prior trips.

but they were very pushy, so much so that we declined wine towards the end.

butlers were Triana and Patricia they were very attentive and informative and took very good care of us.

We visited El Dorado twice, Portofino ( and the moment the waiter Ventura a dear friend notices it is us out of the corner of his eye and that fantastic smile comes out or seeing Damien later that same night), El Gaucho, and had Room Service ( which is available 24 hrs) one night for dinner.

Ventura and Gabriela at Portofino..which is our favourite restaurant.

Over the week we enjoyed delicious meals at Portofino Italian ( great service from Ventura and Damien), Gaucho steakhouse , El Dorado seakhouse ( Birthday dinner for a friend of ours, excellent celebration put on for him, with singing and cake), Sumptuori Japanese, Ribs & More ( steakhouse).

their Mexican restaurant is right by golf club, dinner requires reservation.

Many excellent dining choices, fabulous spas, and a challenging golf course.

Also the golf starter team consisting of Noe, Angel, Adrinal, and Luis as always treated us with respect and were always ready when we showed up to play golf.

I flagged a golf cart driver gave him $5 he helped me take the luggage up to my room.

there are little golf buggys that take you from the different areas which comes in handy for little legs.

Adani our golf instructor has a gift as an instructor.

Our kids had so much fun, the golf course is really nice as well.

The grounds are huge and they have golf carts constantly running to take you from one place to other .

My family and I booked the beginner lesson for the Moon Palace Golf Academy, and we were not disappointed.

I would skip "Gondola," which was totally average. The Indian restaurant "Agra" which did require a reservation was fine, as was the Italian restaurant at the golf course "Trattoria."

They do have golf carts that drive around and pick you up.

but I haven’t mentioned were mini golf, the spa, play on the beach, watch the shows.

Getting around the resort is easy with the golf cart transportation and just go to one of the stops and check out the map and see which letter route you need to catch and they will take you where you need to go.

The service by the service staff was superb - restaurants, poolside, housekeeping, golf cart drivers.

- Trattori (Sunrise / Golf Course) - what a lovely restaurant.

A great introduction to golf and the instructor was very helpful.

There are so many other restaurant ideas that would crush it at that golf course setting.

In return you got a days entry to the Grand hotel which has a water park.

The resort is massive and you are not limited to your own hotel building, you can travel around and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from, pools to visit, even a massive water park to enjoy.

Or you can go to the water park and enjoy the slides.

We also tried the water park in the moon palace grand and it was very good and the Habibi restaurant and the wired game room is also amazing in Grand.

The playroom at the water park had a small free escape room and free indoor mini golf as well as a sky ropes course.

We planned to visit the water park with our young children

The kids liked the Moon Palace much better as there are tons of more things to do such as mini-golf, basketball, flow-rider, water park and countless pools.

Sold us tickets to go to the water park that was literally jackhammered up.

After a wonderful day at the water park we went to dinner at Tavola, an Italian restaurant at The Grand.

When our family is on vacation, we basically want 3 things: a beautiful beach (which is why we chose Cancun, and I might add that prior years' visits to other resorts in Cancun had delivered on that criteria very well), fun activities such as a water park for our son, and nice food.

Several drivers were fun to be with on those short journeys to restaurants or the Water Park.

however the only great amenity there is the water park so we didn’t feel like we were missing much - for an all inclusive on this scale the hotel did well.

We stayed at the water park as much as possible because of the great service from Aristeo, which was by far the best service we experienced during our stay.

The grand has a fantastic water park great for kids of all ages including my 10 month old, it also has the BEST play area i cannot put into words how good it is.

My family--and other travelers--commented that their lunch at Xplor (a day park) was better than ANY meal they ate at Moon Palace.

lots of restaurant choices, bars, entertainment options, kiddie water park areas, etc.

We enjoyed the water park and the bowling alley that is there.

though I’d definitely choose to stay at the Grand so the kids would get to try the water park.

The front desk is difficult to deal with, especially if you lose your bracelet, fine print costs you a lot of money.

Check-in was chaotic and clerk required us to charge another credit card for the entire trip that was already paid for in March.

If you wanted to attend the new year's eve party, it was an additional fee, lol.

Used to be a five star…still cost of a five star

The hospital trip also cost over $800 which we had to pay as well.

Don’t come here unless you like abuse and pay $20K.

For the price we are paying, we could be staying at the Four Seasons.

but you would have to pay for something first.

Note of not staying at The Grand: you must pay extra for the water slides.

But I don't think the additional price is justified for service or food.

Everything is falling apart, we paid extra for a swim up suite which was worthless and a joke.

Considering that they don't get tipped and what they are probably being paid, the servers were amazing.

But I Would not stay there again for regular price.

At $600 USD a night, this is completely not worth it.

Paying 16% tax for a service/good that is marked up at least 84% higher than what you would pay in the US is like getting no real value.

The bunkers are full of rocks and the course itself is not in pristine shape that you would expect from a course that charges $300 a round.

but we were told that he could be seen by their doctor but any expense had to be covered by us.

We paid for Ocean view and that was not Ocean view.

but they do not compare to the service and attention to detail that all the employees pay to everything they do at Moon Palace.

Food is hit or miss-mostly just ok. Tacos and ceviche at pool are delish.

Food from the stand there had 80min wait time!

but thankfully we always ate early so they went quickly for the first seating every evening.
