Resort credits have lots of restrictions and you have to pay 16% tax on any “free” credits you use.

Depending on the sun's position, one side of the main pool can become shady in the late afternoon, so the chairs on the sunny side are at a premium and taken by 7 a.m.!

Go somewhere less expensive to get value!

But if pool seating is important to you be aware of Palace’s peculiar paid membership/timeshare structure before booking.

You do get what you pay for and in Le Blanc's case, that is very much the case.

Le Blanc is expensive compared to the other resorts in Cancun,

This would never happen at the Ritz or St. Regis, where you pay similar prices without the literal and figurative smoke.

Imagine the best meal you have had in the most expensive restaurant anywhere in the world.

I would say that their branding is NOT consistent with what they actually deliver given that they are the most expensive hotel in Cancun.

How do they expect individuals to pay thousands of dollars and not be able to utilize the entire beach?

For example, our couples massage was $900 so w/ 16% charge, we still paid $144+Tip.

While Le Blanc is expensive, it is worthwhile for the absolute pampering and indulgent experience.

We think the cost or price you pay to stay there is a real value to live even for a short while in a paradise that you have never experienced before because when you leave you are totally revitalized like no other vacation you have every taken.

We were not even at any of the premium or elite  levels,

Really a scam, where you can only spend the amount on certain items and not-so-good excursions, and spa treatments that seemed way overpriced, so that there is always a residual that you need to pay.

but also services including Korean concierge, special drinks, fitness team..

but again too notch service and facility!

Staff was every bit as kind and accommodating as the last time, and we found the service to still be top notch at the restaurants, beach and pool.

The service that they provided was the best I have ever received at a resort.

It is beautiful, the service is exquisite, the spa is top notch and we especially love the restaurants.

The service is just exceptional and over the top- better than we’ve ever seen anywhere else.

Great place and greater service, friendly staff, Antonio was great, the staff made the experience better than expected specially when they knew we left our original resort “ Beloved” due to horrible experience, they made it up .

Pros: 
-They have an army of staff working and very friendly
-we hardly had to wait in line for any service
-the dinner reservation restaurants were nice and even let us go in sooner than the time that we had reserved
-amenities and food options are very good

Cons:
- they dont have a long beach where you can go for long walks.

The only thing I would say which is not the hotels fault is, that I would make sure my room didn’t end in 08, 10 or 12 as it’s next the the elevator and can be noisy late at night or/and early in the morning.

Barging into the elevator before those arriving have had a chance to get off.

The biggest complaint I heard was the elevators.

Areas for improvement:

The elevator situation is REAL slow.

2 out of 4 elevators are broken at all times.

The elevators are dirty and just plain  worn out.

The lights went out on us on the elevator!

The only thing that really needs attention right away is the elevators.

Because this is a tall hotel style building, we found the hallway to be quite loud when trying to sleep, especially since our room was directly in front of an elevator.

The hotel downside is the elevators and ensuing wait times.

Moving around the building is somewhat difficult as stairways are closed, elevators get packed up and take long time.

Elevators are a nightmare, it was small and constantly passing floors.

The entire 7days involved elevator issues.

Only minor negatives, there are only four small elevators for 14 floors, so you have to be patient at peak times or find stairs.

but expect to be caught in elevators, restaurant lines, buffet crowds.

but others a real miss)
-the towel game is exhausting (I don’t blame anyone who wants a chair, but the hotel needs to move towels and stuff if people are holding places at both the beach and pool for hours while they eat breakfast and get manicures)
- the elevators are small and they take quite a while

Even at the furthest room here, you're maybe 100 steps to the elevator to breakfast, another 100 steps to the pool and 200 more steps to the beach.

but what we learned to do was if u were going up and the elevator was going down or vice versa.

Our family would like to give heartfelt thanks to the spa manager for facilitating Lizbeth coming over for one of my wife's hair services, to Ernesto in Tequila for making every breakfast the best experience it can be and Tania by the main pool for keeping us hydrated and well fed all day.

For us, we were up on the rooftop pool and felt like our own personal bar, food service (shout out to the delicious fries and seasoning salt)  and pool.

The rooms were nice, the beach was gorgeous, the meals were delicious, and the service was warm and accommodating.

I will say that the service staff still did a great job under the circumstances.

Service in all departments was efficient.

Here is my list of pro’s and cons:

1) The service and the food at the restaurants was great.

Special shout out to Alfredo at the sports bar,Tereza, at the pool/beach service and  our maid Luciera!

I have been to Beach many times and keep going back because of the service.

Palace Resorts just GETS customer service,

Beach service always brought watered down or incorrectly made drinks.

Our server Octavio was the best, very helpful in menu recommendations and service.

The food is great, there are some amazing servers that provide great service along with some that don't.

I would highly recommend this place and would also tell you that the food and service are not disappointing.

The customer service has been amazing, the food is amazing, and everything has been running smoothly since we got here.

Their app is extremely helpful for ordering room service or to schedule early breakfasts like we did on days we went to Xcaret or Chichen Itzà.

I insisted that we should not be charged and reluctantly they 'waived' the additional fee for us.

Which tells me they're probably not getting paid what they deserve.

They don’t provide them anymore and charge $12 USD for a metal straw.

The spa - They were running a promotion to get an 80 minute massage at the price for a 50 minute so I took advantage of it plus they added on Hydrotherapy treatment.

As I explained to him a bunch of people were upset they couldn’t sit in or by the pool unless they paid $80 for a cabana each day (which came with 2 loungers in the pool) As Mr.Rojas explained to me this money grab was put in place by previous management

There is also entertainment every day and night, with a range of shows and classes at no extra cost.

The only downsides of our stay were the terrible sales pitch on check in, super misleading and time wasting. He promised a three minute chat to provide us our welcome package, turned into a 15 minute guilt trip to sign up for a 90 minute sales pitch saying "he wouldn't get paid if we didn't attend."

The premium wine was a tab on the expensive side,

And far too many hidden fees, especially for things which should have been included (ex: a chair by the pool or on the beach, a seat to watch the nightly entertainment , etc. ).

Once those are taken, you either have to pay for a chair or cabana, or find a place to store your stuff.

but not if I could find something close to price.

He told me if I paid him I could sit there.

Little if any consideration for the guests unless you want to pay extra as in the seating around the pool and at the beach.

This is additional cost and is not cheap.

though it's an all inclusive, there are plenty of things they want you to pay an extra charge for so just stick to the normal menus and you'll be fine!

but the only way you could get a poolside chair is if you pay money for a cabana.

While there are upgraded dinner options, spa services and cabanas available, they are not high pressure sales.

The service was incredible and everyone was so kind.

I would like to thank all of the staff for their outstanding service.

More of your wonderful team impressed us: Cabana guys Ivan, Adrian and Sebastian, who called us by name and tried to offer a steak or seafood in lieu of the alcohol with the fourth cabana rental - we appreciated their service (and coconuts instead).

The staff and service are beyond expectations!!

They sent us several emails in advance about pre-booking spa services at a discount,

Then drink service, whether we were in our beach cabana or outside by the main bar we were well taken care of by Janett, Humberto, Luis, David, Adrien and Eloisa.

The staff were engaging and provided exception service to cater to your every need--"service from the heart"!

From the moment we arrived the service was out of this world.

This hotel offered the best overall service and food experience that we’ve had traveling to Cancun (30+ years).

We visited to Canaan at Hyatt Zilara, they provided very good service; I’ll bring my family to visit again.a waiter from  Spice Buffett whose name is Gisel, he always fulfilled what we request.

At Spice be sure to ask for Juan or Martin and you will receive the warmest service.

Manuel, Jessica, Eloisa from the Spa -- thank you for the massages and service.

We rented a poolside cabana during this visit - great service, they were on top of everything.

however, I’d like to thank those who went out of their way to provide unbelievable service.

Daniel and the bartenders in the den for excellent service and mocktails.

Note- we went to Xcaret for the day and the food there was 100 times better than the Mexican food (which I love) at the hotel.

There was also Hotel Xcaret a little farther back with the family which was outstanding.

Hyatt Zilara Cancun

Felt dated and many repairs were obviously needed ( one of the main elevators had a soft spot on the floor just one example  )
Outside of the building had peeling paint and much more .

Would be a five star if they just fix their elevators.

The hotel elevators did not work consistently so there was a long wait for them and once inside the elevator it was suffocating how hot it was.

The only way up and down is by elevators,

When we left from outside in the heat, we came into a building that was just as hot inside so no relief until you made it to your room, even the elevators were hot.

The elevators are very warm and the food to me is overpriced.

There were a few problems such as the elevators did not have air conditioning, the lobby was also very humid, and the lounge areas indoors were very humid.

However, it was steaming hot in the hotel, and we later found out it is steaming hot also in the eating areas and elevators (which were the warmest places).

The second elevator was down when we visited over a year ago and it is still down.

but still ate out every night because a person cannot get reservations the way they have it set up and the elevators only worked half the time we were thereRATE THISHOTEl A negative 10 wish they would alow that if you haven’t gone yet run to get your money back

Sometimes you can wait a while for the elevators to get back to the lobby.

Of course there were some issues at time, one elevator not working the first week, some people partying late one night, some poor food quality at one restaurant.

Elevator music "Mexican" style  is not what I am looking for on a holiday by the pool.

To end this review if you want poor customer service,disgusting food,cock roaches,bug,absolutely no entertainment other then elevator music ,beaches with no entertainment or shade unless you pay top US dollars stay at this resort otherwise don’t be like me and make the biggest mistake I’ve ever made by choosing this resort.

Elevator music all day and night we travel often

They literally played what sounded like elevator music all day, every day for a week straight.

You should note that there are a LOT of stairs at this hotel, even with the elevators.

You had to pay to use the Bali beds and all the bars closed at 11pm.

This meant it was room-only and everything had to be paid for 
- nothing inclusive, not even breakfast.

Due to the limited chairs, guests tend to use cabanas,  hotel staff immediately appears to collect fees.

but no booze in the room and only a few soft drinks in the fridge and if you wanted more - $150 pesos restocking fee will be applied.

You have to pay extra for 80% of the stuff in there including the ice cream🥺 They only have one employee in there so always a long line!

We paid $115 USD EXTRA  per night for the altitude tower

but I have a feeling that we could've gotten the same price even without attending this.

All in all, this was a horrible experience, not worth the all inclusive cost, and most of the people who worked there were quite rude.

So sad we spent money here, first resort EVER that had ZERO entertainment at night, nothing to do all day, they have cut expenses everywhere possible, the entire resort has NO AC which is BIZARRE at the heat in Cancun, I actually couldn’t wait to leave and I will never ever go back to any Krystal Brand resort again, the people who work there are very nice and it’s not their fault the management is cheap and negligent.

If we want to upgrade we will need to pay at least 25 USD per night.

but other than that the accommodations were not what we had paid for and there were 16 of us.

There is also an environmental charge/resort fee that was charged during check-in of about 72.68 mxn pesos per night of your stay.

The tent at the beach is always busy and is reserved so you have to rent and pay extra to use the tent( ridiculous for all inclusive service) .

Now the cons:
- There is a new tower with a different price for the night.

are tattered and thin and are a very cheap quality.

Good service good  food could use better options at the buffet cerillo buy the pool was an amazing server 10/10 hôtel could use an up grade tho Rooms are dated a/c not strong enough mattress not the greatest a dumb fee$ when u arrive wouldn’t pay more than 1200$ to come here

Although the Canadians, Americans and Brazilians were given top priority for service and best rooms Krystal altitude.

we stayed at the Grand Krystal in December and what blew us away was the amazing service that we got from all the employees.

Customer service, housekeeping and pool side service might have been the best we have ever experienced.

I will miss my waiter by the beautiful infinity pool named Celerino, he made our so special with his spectacular service!

We had a great time and we so pleased with the quality customer service provided.

Excellent service, Alfonso was very attentive and friendly.

The hotel is amazing, the service especially if you’re staying at the Altitude section is really good, the ocean views over seeing the hotel never get old.

Jahir is the the best bartender in this whole hotel, drinks are on point, his service is the best, makes you feel so welcomed, everything is very good, he can make anything you ask for either sweet or strong, he truly made my expórtenle way better

The moment we walked in the service was excelente especially Celerino welcomed us with open hands.

He gave phenomenal service and took time to ensure we were comfortable in the balinese beds.

Amazing, q really good service and attention, specially for the guys if the restaurant.

Our server Alfonso was the greatest and on top of it for service and always checking to make sure we were OK.

Great service Celerino , the waiter, very helpful and very quick very nice and helpful.

He gave wonderful service to my family for our entire stay at Kyrstal Altitude!

but especially to Jahir who provided exceptional service even on friends 50th birthday.

Please save your money here and book at Hyatt, Occidental, Riu, Xcaret, Royal resorts or any other well know chain that is known to treat everyone the same.

Krystal Grand Cancun All Inclusive

but they said that we signed the paper therefore we should be charged the amount.

They charged $600/night and their air conditioner was broken.

They would not take it back and charged me anywhere.

Along with trying to additionally charge us with 600$ more dollars just to kick us out.

If you have family I would not recommend this property

They charge us every single item when we ask something.

Every waiter tries to get you to upgrade to paid drinks, every person you interact with hands you a card and tells them to rate them in a review, spa people ask you if you want a spa treatment 10+ times a day if you sit by the pool.

His attitude towards us was unwarranted, and he went so far as to charge our credit card for additional fees, insisting that we were responsible for the payment.

I told them i will dispute the charge and she said do it and the refund will still take 21days.

We had some credit to use as well, so the wife let me get a 30 minute shoulder/neck/back massage.

After explaining to him we were not interested in a timeshare, he again repeated, “it’s not a timeshare, I’m not asking you for your credit card or anything, we just need you to sit for at least 90 minutes in our meeting”.

They did not accept Apple Pay, so my new Hyatt Chase card with a $95 fee was of little use and we lost a potential 4-5 nights or about 25,000 points.

My last resort will be to dispute this charge with the CC company as we were charged for a product (an upgraded room) that we essentially did not receive.

Charged them $500 per room for smoking then escorted them off property.

Roberto Bravo is the manager that was in charge when we were there and would not do anything and instructed them to charge me.

The room keys are cards which is not very convenient, other hotels provide bracelets that work as key, in this one you have to pay if you want a bracelet.

the charges on anything outside of the all inclusiveness is EXPENSIVE!

For a resort this expensive, we expected a higher quality of food.

Don't recall when some many people paid attention to me and actually acted like they enjoyed do it.

The pool is not heated no hot tubs outside only in the spa and you have to pay.

We paid US$1000+ for a double bed room (2 adults and 2 small kids).

So you're paying 800 USD a night and the resort skimps out on things like this.

However, the price increase is excessive, and guests will no longer be able to afford it.

Serious renovation needed to bring it up to 2023 especially given brand new properties for similar prices in the Cancun hotel area.
