Resort credits have lots of restrictions and you have to pay 16% tax on any “free” credits you use.

Depending on the sun's position, one side of the main pool can become shady in the late afternoon, so the chairs on the sunny side are at a premium and taken by 7 a.m.!

Go somewhere less expensive to get value!

But if pool seating is important to you be aware of Palace’s peculiar paid membership/timeshare structure before booking.

You do get what you pay for and in Le Blanc's case, that is very much the case.

Le Blanc is expensive compared to the other resorts in Cancun,

This would never happen at the Ritz or St. Regis, where you pay similar prices without the literal and figurative smoke.

Imagine the best meal you have had in the most expensive restaurant anywhere in the world.

I would say that their branding is NOT consistent with what they actually deliver given that they are the most expensive hotel in Cancun.

How do they expect individuals to pay thousands of dollars and not be able to utilize the entire beach?

For example, our couples massage was $900 so w/ 16% charge, we still paid $144+Tip.

While Le Blanc is expensive, it is worthwhile for the absolute pampering and indulgent experience.

We think the cost or price you pay to stay there is a real value to live even for a short while in a paradise that you have never experienced before because when you leave you are totally revitalized like no other vacation you have every taken.

We were not even at any of the premium or elite  levels,

Really a scam, where you can only spend the amount on certain items and not-so-good excursions, and spa treatments that seemed way overpriced, so that there is always a residual that you need to pay.

Do take advantage of the hydrotherapy circuit— it’s complimentary even without a treatment, you just need to make a reservation.

Our concierge Daniel did a great job getting our dinner reservations all lined up prior to our arrival to Le Blanc.

Now, everyone makes reservations between 6-8pm and a large number of these are go unused.

They helped over come challenges to set reservations for restaurants at capacity, personal amenities probably outside their responsibilities that this were so great and it made my wife and I's stay so pleasurable.

Before we arrived Danya took great care of us and made sure we had any dinner reservations, spa treatments, and excursions booked in advance.

He always scheduled our hydrotherapy appointments, spa treatments and dinner reservations immediately upon request.

butler Marco and Diamond conceirge Roger who were both exceptionally with their organisation and booking of everything to make a perfect stay.

Our concierge Ingrid also went above and beyond helping us with reservations, spa appointments and other treats.

We will definitely be booking with this brand in the future.

Suggestions I would make for anyone planning to go for the first time: make your dinner and spa reservations well in advance.

Dunia at the spa gave me a great deep tissue massage, and Fernando at guest services was very helpful and nice when we approached him to reserved a catamaran tour to Isla Mujeres.

We’ve been lucky enough to have stayed at quite a few nice hotels - The Breakers WPB, Four Seasons DC, NYC, xCaret Arte, Waldorf Astoria Chicago, Viceroy Los Cabos to name a few and LeBlanc Cancun was by far our favorite.

Some of our rooms received the toiletry items, others did not.

The maintenance person showed up and did something in the bathroom and said it was fixed.

The toilet clogged and when we asked for a plunger no one came till an hour later.

My bathroom toilet was clogged everyday despite not using it.

( clogged sink, and toilet not flushing ).

They gave us another room with a working AC and the sink was clogged.

Our bathroom shower did not get really hot.

We’d had a long day of travel and were already 12 hours into our day, all we wanted to do was take a shower and nap.

The room didn't cool down past 23 degrees Celsius, the sink was clogged, and there were small roaches in the sugar tray.

Rooms and bathrooms are outdated, broken tiles and I can just continue.

Toilets all around the resort were never cleaned.

The housekeeping prior to arriving left a little to be desired (someone else's hair in the shower),

The shower water doesn’t even get hot at all.

I took them most of the day to try and get the sink to stop leaking and i finally had to ask them to stop trying because it was taking so long.

While the property is beautiful and we’ll maintained and the public spaces are lovely, the room and bathroom were tired and are in need of a refresh.

The ac doesn’t work because maintenance also one of the two elevators so the time to go to the lobby and the bedroom was so long.

toilet flush wont work properly so you have to manually lift the tank and play with it.

but food wasn’t great either, rooms are a little dated, the hotel common areas don’t have a/c, elevators take ages, location to other bars / restaurants / shopping isn’t great.

My only two complaints would be the elevators are under construction and are not ventilated.

The elevator waiting at a regular time is 5min and in  Lunch and dinner time around 10 in

but it didn't bother us much besides the fact that the elevators felt a bit crowded.

The scent is overpowering and it's everywhere i.e elevator, hallway, rooms and its specially stronger at the main lobby.

We were on the 7th floor, and there were only two functioning elevators that were unreliable at best and downright malfunctioning at worst.

FYI PARENTS WITH CHILDREN AND STROLLERS- IF YOU GET THE VILLA GARDEN VIEW - THESE ARE IN A SEPARATE BUILDING AND NO ELEVATORS SO YOU WOULD NEED TO CARRY YOUR STROLLER UP AND DOWN FLIGHTS OF STAIRS!!!

Elevators are broken and often only one is operation.

Many other minor things like outlets in rooms not working, slow elevators, not the best water (although filtered and safe in the locations, and water bottle refill stations

Hotel in general: 
-there are 9 floors and 3 elevators, so already not ideal, out of those 3, 2 worked, while for a day only 1 was operating.

The one is way left of the left elevator.

The bad: Two elevators for a giant hotel.

There are 2 elevators for a total of 11 floors.

The only suggestion I would give is to perfect the restaurant reservation system.

As mentioned above, Prestige told us they had reserved us a table at 7:30pm for the steakhouse and that we wouldn’t have any issue.

You do need a reservation, which I was able to email 4 days before arrival and secure one.

The Star Prestige lounge, boasting a mesmerizing ocean view, became our go-to spot, where Mr. Guadalupe's personalized service stood out—he even took the initiative to personally take trips to the restaurants to secure restaurant reservations for us each day.

We booked the swim out suite, and were amazed at the view from our room from the time we got here checking in took about 15 minutes for six of us.

I intend to book again for another visit soon.

Cons- Now what this resort is a sports bar  and more entertainment in the lobby bar while people are waiting for their reservations or shows.

Be sure to reserve your spots at the a la carte restaurants  when you arrive as they are great restaurants.

For dinners I would recommend making the reservations.

IIa worked for Dressel Divers and communicated with me regarding changing weather conditions which caused me to cancel my second trip dives.

The resort failed to accommodate our requests for restaurant reservations, leaving us scrambling for dining options.

Had reserved the steakhouse for the evening because we hadn't eaten anything

The food: I think the food was great, specially the japanese and steakhouse restaurants, it is with a reservation.

Luckily, we were able to make reservations at the a la carte restaurants for the rest of the stay.

We were fortunate to obtain reservations for all at the Italian restaurant.

When confirming with the front desk, having those guest redirected to the smoking area didn’t seem that much of a concern.

The staff was great and friendly especially Hermalinda from the wait staff at the pool/bar area water was beautiful restaurant kinda booked have to go to the restaurant see if somebody might have canceled to get in

To add to that experience, out of 7 nights, we were able to get only 1 dinner reservations as everything is booked and have been eating at the buffet.

The prestige lounge also had a lot of hard stale cheese and limited options for food.

And even then it's difficult because it's always booked for the whole week, unless you come on Thursday because on Friday you start a new reservation, very rude, old hotel is disgusting, old beds with holes and dirty.

The bathtub plug was broken, wires from the hair dryer were exposed, the sinks were filthy, as was the floors.

but it smelt like sewer water every day, made us gag.

The bathroom sink is even worse since the water doesn’t drain.

The buffet was disgusting and even at the stakehouse People were getting up and leaving after being served grey stakes.

Air was not on in the lobby it was a sweat box.

After more than month of gastrointestinal issues our doctor finally diagnosed what we picked up from this disgusting resort, and we are livid.

The chips at the buffet and at any restaurant are stale.

My husband and I both don’t like cigarette smoke especially with both of my children having asthma.

The glasses emitted a foul odor, indicating inadequate cleanliness and maintenance.

I was moved to the third floor and the room smelled like trash, the air conditioner did not work, and there were roaches.

The buffet food is garbage only eatable food is a food truck, and specialty restaurants (which reservations are needed) We booked two rooms and both did not have a working AC and one of them had a puked smell.

My mother in law said her room smelt of vomit and the power kept going off in the night so we didn’t have a/c for a bit.

The idea that an employee would rummage through my personal belongings was appalling and disgusting.

During our stayed I heard multiple guests complaining of the pungent smell.

Unfortunately, the no-smoking policy was poorly enforced around the pool area and we had to move locations more than once to get away from smokers.

American bistro is absolutely disgusting.

I’ve been to Cancun and playa many times and there are so much better hotels with great service,  food…etc like xcaret!

The beach is very nice and the water is mostly calm (for which reason we booked this hotel).

We got a good deal with TUI (booking in June for our December holiday) and it was totally the right choice.

Expedia has sent her the changes directly.

They forced me to write on a form that they were upgrading us to a better room than what we booked free of charge, which isnt true- we paid/booked ocean front.

Whether it's the buffet or one of the four al-la-carte restaurants (which you don't need to make reservations in advance for!

We really appreciated that no reservations were required at the specialty  restaurants.

Booked through Tui the Riu Caribe was a fabulous hotel, really friendly staff, that simply could not do enough for us.

Next year, we will do the same and book another late deal and if the Rui Caribe is at a good price , I would have no hesitation in returning and that's something I generally don't do.

Holiday with TUI booked to Skiathos from Birmingham on Sept.5th cancelled due to storm Daniel.

Lastly entertainment staff were great, worked very very hard to ensure people had a good time, we also booked coco bingo via robin who sells the tickets in the hotel, we chose the premium package (being old) 🤣🤣

We didn't book any of the other restaurants.

Fingers cross as on our return we have now booked to go back in November 23 for another two weeks.

The reason we booked this hotel was the reviews of the beach, which was superb.

I first stayed at this group of hotels in Cape Verde 🇨🇻 and I loved it, then I booked another of your hotels in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 and just fell in love with RIU even more.

but  this while what I am getting is disgusting hot dogs?

3 places to smoke, if your a smoker  which are not adequate for hotel this size.

The middle pool is a pool bar where people were just drinking until they couldn't stand up, smoking in the pool, and we even saw someone taking substances.

If you’re a smoker, I would strongly advise against this hotel.

Another one boiled shrimp not cleaned black line. Disgusting

Our room did smell of sulphur on occasions and the fan does make a noise which you can't switch off so some light sleepers may struggle.

There are staff raking that up each morning and it’s nothing like smelly seaweed and didn’t deter anyone swimming in the sea.

First off the rooms had a horrible mold/mildew smell that was making me feel sick, our rooms were NEVER cleaned unless we requested on the app and even so no fresh towels brought / toilet paper refills.

Areas for improvement: 
We saw many people smoking throughout the resort in undesignated areas, which we found very annoying.

The rooms were a bit dated and the bathrooms could have been cleaner, there was black mold in ours.

Day we checked in, the room had pillows and bed that were giving off a stinking smell, same with curtains

but of course people had to ruin it by leaving their garbage behind, we found broken glass, straws and cigarettes :/ Food was very poor, only friuts and vegetables were great also staff was very helpfull and nice.

No air in room bathrooms, insufficient room lighting, red stained mirrors, pee on the side of the toilets.

Our friends had trouble with electrics on floor 9, blowing lights, hair dryers ect…fuse box looked old and looked like required maintenance, this happened after rain, so probably water in the electrics, they had to sleep with no lights or electric, with a smell of burning, was not resolved until next day, their last day.

Everybody smokes, everybody is loud and inconsiderate of others having a relaxing time.

The hotel has an amazing protocol for COVID in every place, not just in the hotel also outside the premises including parks "XCARET".

Glad my two days in Riu Caribe I spent them at Xcaret & Xel-Ha.

however I was happy to stay around the hotel in the day as there is plenty of entertainment and time for relaxation, and I saw plenty of the “real México” on the three trips I went on; Chichen Itza, Xcaret and Isla Mujeres (all of which I highly recommend).

Hotel was a good base from which to do some of the Xparks and this time we had a fantastic (but long day) at Xcaret.

Tui rep also didn’t tell us with any Xcaret trips, if you keep your wristband on you can go up the Xcaret view tower in Cancun for free the following day!

Went to xcaret and xelha and coco bongo all a must visit plso visit la isla shopping centre has a pepsi max ferris wheel to look over cancun amazing vie $275 pesso or $15 us dollars it toom you round 5 times also visited a museum you can get the bus costs 12 pesso each way buses run 24hrs a day if ur not at a bus stop the bus will stop

This hotel has a foam party every Thursday 3 -5pm in the quiet pool near the the pizza and drinks bar and a beach party on a friday night both gd.

First we did Xcaret and watched the evening show - very good

While we were there we went on a lot of excursions including Xel-Ha and Xplor which we booked ourselves through the Xcaret website before going, and a few excursions through Thomson while we were there including the catamaran trip to Dolphin Discovery where we swam with dolphins, nurse sharks and fed the manatees and a trip to Garrafon Park, and Chichen Itza.

Concierge Julio helped us with a very smooth check-in and check-out experience, helped book dinners for us, and was available for all our questions.

We booked this trip rather late…in October.

These are just off the top of my head - and I could write a whole lot more - I just hope that anyone looking to book here reads my review first.

I would also recommend the specialty restaurants which you can make reservations for and would like to give a special mention to Randy and Jose in Oscars.

The food and drinks are bland and the liquor is cheap 
The reservation our family had made was all inclusive, you would think “great, nothing to worry about”.

We booked a taxi transfer online and were pleased with the service from Cancun transfers.

I do not recommend booking here at all as everything is so cheap (considering cost-benefit) and the facilities are in terrible condition. 1.

however, book some tours that leave from the marina right near the hotel.

Randy, Jose, Diego, Daniel gave us great friendly service both of the nights we reserved at ostras.

The food was delicious too- definitely make reservations every night at the pop ups offered.

I regret booking this place , as really needed some peace and proper nights’ sleep.

but remember to make your reservations early

Went there in the first week of Dec 2022 (my booking was for Ocean' view).

I booked this hotel for the waterpark, and the statement that they had accessible rooms.

I booked our stay at All Ritmo mainly because I thought the water park would be a good way to keep 9- & 6-year old boys entertained when we didn't have anything else planned.

If you’re ever visiting Cancun and want to have a great time, book here.

We made reservations for 7days, based on the pictures we saw on All Ritmos website.

Food at the Reservation restaurant was better than buffet diners and had a different theme rotating through the week except for kids menu (pasta and quesadillas).

They only remove the seaweed once a week after the resort has the workers rake it up all week… So by the end of the week it starts rotting and smelling, and it’s very unappealing.

Although the room was clean - the mattress was filthy and the blankets had holes in - the bed sheets also didn’t fit the beds properly.

In summary if you want poor security, bland food, cheap liquor and disgusting living conditions and careless management…CONGRATULATIONS, YOU FOUND THE RESORT FOR YOU!

The place is filthy and the all inclusive buffet is the worse ever.

Our second room for which we had to pay an extra had a strong smell of urine in the entire closet area. 3.

Our shower looked like a relic from a 1930s prison and smelled.

Drainage smells badly- kept the fires to the bathroom shut.

however we had to change rooms as the 1st room had a bad smell and humidty.

The children would stand there and scream like they were being burned,

It is an “all-inclusive” that doesn’t include much. Food:
Disgusting.

The food was absolutely disgusting, we ended up having to go out once a day to find something edible.

Marina didn’t seem too busy and didn’t have almost any boat fuel smell.

Just to name a few things of the top of head, there was hair in the tub and mold around the sides of the tub, a dead bug in the sink, the "white" sheets were heavy worn/stained and needed to be replaced.

Laminate on tables separated, wood rotting, door of fridge spray painted.

The food is horrible and nasty all five days same recooked food retried food and the jelly has mold on top.

This place is disgusting dirty with no help if you don’t know Spanish.

If you would like to visit places like Xplore or Xcaret (highly recommend, see my other review), then you may want to stay closer to that area (Playa del Carmen).

There is also Crazy Golf ,Basketball courts and Tennis Courts this side 

We ventured away from the hotel several times during our stay to Wallmart, Coco Bongo's, Xcaret & the hotel zone which were all great!

We did xcaret, tulum/xelha & pirates dinner.

We did a lot of activities, Dolphin swim on Isla Mujures and shopping there, highly recommended Xcaret, Xplor, Chichen Itza, Jungle Tour (speed boat and snorkeling on the coral reef) and there is so much more to do.

We did lots of trips whilst here in Cancun all were really good fun, would recommend the xplor and xcaret!!

We hired a car and went to Xel-ha (swam with the manatee) and Xcaret (swam with the dolphins) - they were fab days out and pretty easy to get to - we had no problems with the hire car or rogue policemen.

We went to xcaret TWICE and swam with the dolphins, and also went to Isla Mujeres where they have gorgeous beaches.
