I've never experienced such fun at a resort!

My Butler, Joel were on time and kept us in the loop of the "fun & must-do" things on and off the resort.

Meeting David, Jeshua, Gerrison and Emmanuel really made us feel connected and made this trip SO MUCH FUN!!

Very cohesive and motivating while keeping it fun!

We took Pilates and Aqua strong with Josue, he was truly supportive guiding us through each step and making sure we got some fun out of it as well.

The beach has clear water where we go snorkeling and the pool where the party and fun happens.

Thank you to Emmanuel, Jeshua, David, Gerson, Ricardo,Tonya, and Anna for such a fun filled week!

Other activities we enjoyed we the music and movie trivia, Jesuha was a lot of fun!

The nightly entertainment was fun and family appropriate, the bars were well stocked with quality spirits, the pools were always booming with activities and there were plenty of places to "chill" under an umbrella while enjoying the beauty of Cancun.

The classes were a blast, motivating and fun.

The wedding was absolutely beautiful and we had such a fun time together.

As someone who took advantage of the workout classes and activities, that is absolutely what made my trip so much more fun!

The hotel is clean, fun, and perfect for families or adults only.

We told our server to surprise us (he’s pictured below) and oh boy everything was SOOO delicious.

My daughter and I were there to celebrate our milestone birthdays.

We have never laughed so hard, we felt like kids again!

I had hard time to find something to eat for my child (he is allergic to dairy and eggs).

All the ladies at the kids club are great.

My baby was greeted by all with sweet words, smiles, waves and just general doting.

My mom's 75th, daughter's sweet 16 and my 42nd birthday.

We appreciated everything they provided for us and our daughter.

Emmanuel’s “beads and bracelets” workshop for the kids was possibly the best part of our son’s rainy day adventures, and allowed our son to create the keychain that became his favorite souvenir from our entire stay in Mexico.

We also love the shows at night and my daughter and I look forward to dancing the Hyatt Ziva closing dance.

but our daughter, Olivia, especially loved your dance parties!

Rooms are all great we have stayed in the basic rooms which overlook the dolphins, great for kids.

Meant a lot for my son who was begging me  to bring him over :-)( Ameer)
GYM:  discovered reformer !

but traveling with a toddler, the food choices at the buffet were a better fit for us.

But left some major seaweed behind 😒 It’s okay we still had fun
We went to celebrate my daughters Quinceañera.

During the stay we tried all of the restaurants, each was delicious, Tradewinds was my favorite, Chevy's was the kids favorite.

Not once did we feel threatened by any danger from outside guests or any potential breach at the resort.

While the rooms are beautiful, they were very noisy, and you could hear people in the room next to and above you at all hours of the day and night as well as people wandering the halls.

also paper thin walls you can hear your neighbors or even ppl walking true corridor.

I was not trying to sneak him in or be shady.

You will not be disappointed neither will you ever be in danger.

But our neighbors next door were rowdy and loud til 2 am.

Covid is still very real, and never once did I feel unsafe at Ziva, all the workers were always taking extra precautions to be safe.

We had an extremely noisy neighbor who seemed to want to party until 2-3am.

Taken to location where multiple commercial fishing boat anchor lines crossed the area we were suppose to snorkel in; dangerous.

There are also areas that do not have a safe entry onto the beach, my mom and I had a hard time with this and each tripped and fell several times either coming onto or off the sand, it’s dangerous.

Hardly anyone at the beach used loungers that had no shade and everyone "fought" for shady spots.

It was such a bad situation and the management didn’t need to threaten me, i was leaving, just hesitant because i felt unsafe as any other person would be.

The Kidz Club: Great outdoor playground set on top of a shallow pool, with flowing waters giving it a real “water park” feeling for kids!

They have incredible daycare with multiple caregivers (ratio of about 4:1 when we were there) and provide games, arts & crafts, socializing, video games during down times, and the kid’s water park with slides, wading pool, etc.

Xcaret park was so much fun for a day excursion for us adults & kids.

There is an active children's program, nightly entertainment, water park, daycare.

Great for kids— water park and water slides.

The pools and all facilities, including the spa, were very clean and so artfully designed.

The service was great at the beach, around the pool and in the rooms!

Views are breathtaking,pools are gorgeous,and food is delicious.

There were 2 large pools for anyone to use.

I received extremely high level of customer service in all areas - restaurants, pools, activity and at the beach.

The cabanas are a must, especially the double deckers by the beach and pool, view, service everything was excellent.

Special shout outs to Guillermo on the beach and July at the club pool, who kept ahead of our drink orders, as well as everyone at Punta Vista.

We rented a main pool cabana 2 days with Jorge & Domingo tending to us!

The food at every restaurant was amazing, our room was clean, spaceous and comfortable and the pools and other amenities are the best.

Had the best service from Irma, Fernando and Diego at Punta Vista and awesome servies at the pool from Andrea and all the cabana attendants.

I love how the staff knew me by name when I sat at the pool area, they knew exactly what I wanted before I asked.

From the welcome with cool scented towels, to the cleanliness  of the resort, to the pools, to the restaurants.

but we enjoy the energy of the main pool and club pool much better.

The building was very well designed so the rooms have view to the ocean and to the pools areas.

Even at the pool, staff would come ask us what drinks they could get for us.

Dips and sips is a great afternoon at the pool with Elmar and Alexander.

but poor show management at the Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun this hotel should not be associated or confused with the Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun - a hotel that is so run down the ceiling caved in on our last night in the main lobby.

So in a span of less than 30 minutes, resort staff reviewed poor video footage and made the decision to remove us from the property with a knock on our room door, regardless of my statement that he was with me and did not drink a beer, it was a can of Sprite.

The sushi was horrible, the buffet was bland and poor.

The cell reception (AT&T and T-Mobile) was very poor at the resort.

If you came to this resort expecting to lay on the beach with a great view be prepared to pay $85 for a cabana because they put them all in front so if your poor your view will be a cabana while laying on the beach.

I wasn't a big fan of the dolphinarium either, those poor dolphins, while well cared for, seemed to almost yearn for the open sea.

The only thing that I didn’t like during my stay was seeing poor dolphins kept in those swimming pool and forced to WORK EVERY SINGLE DAY.

I saw poor eldrly people forced to sit in the blazing sun because the shade almost nonexistent.

The food was very basic and we did not have any meals there that were great, just poor to average.

The poor employees were hounding people all week to buy tickets, which was obviously pushed by mgmt.

The staff is rude and condescending once a concern is voiced.

The managment was very disrespectful, rude, and didn’t know how to handle there customers.

The staff is rude and condescending when you ask a question they answer by pointing like if you're bothering them.

Also in many of the restaurants we received rude service and pushy service trying to get us to buy bottles of wine, etc.

When we arrived at front desk they were extremely rude and uncooperative regarding  our room accommodations.

Staff are rude and obviously unhappy and it reflects in the service.

Some of the cabana staff were quite rude actually.

I would not return to this resort because of the costumer service, they were very rude and short.

Would be better to just remove those TVs all together or just unplug them.

Even if the allegation were true, and it’s not, the right thing to do would be to provide some type of warning and a second offense may result in having to leave the property.

After a horrible day of travel with my one year old son i just signed the credit card slips and the pen flew on the ground again she threatened to call security and remove me from the property.

I noticed a $10 coconut charge mistake on my invoice upon checkout and inquired to get it removed.

I hope that they remove them and bring back the thatch roof umbrellas that add to the ambiance instead of destroying it.

When asked why, they have no reason other than “that’s what the sign says.”

And they don’t serve food poolside.

I got to tell you that there are also signs at check in which clearly state that, which we did not even see.

After talking to the Turquoise management, they told us if we had reported it, the offenders would have been "removed from the hotel".

We always made sure there’s no do not disturb sign on our door.

They removed some of the key areas you used to be able to smoke at.

but the SUPs have the fins removed so it's difficult to actually steer in them.

but wrong sign posted at the door after I told it will be 50th birthday celebration.

Signs visibly posted in areas where masks are required.

The hotel is very beautiful and the staff were amazing from the front desk, housekeeping and the bar and restaurant staff were amazing as well.

but breakfast which had numerous hot items and an omelet bar was really good

Overall a decent stay.

the bar sits right across the beach is just a great way to spend the day.

Goncalo was also fantastic at the Deck bar during the day and again at night.

Service at night at the bar right on the beach is great.

The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly from the doormen, Front desk, to the breakfast service team, bar and restaurant staff.

Francisco and Gonzalo at the bar by the pool were excellent.

The beach is very wide at this point with many palapas to sit in the shade and waiters attending from Le Cap beach bar.

We were very impressed with the staff though, they were very welcoming, greeting us with our name and spoiling us rotten: David at Caribeno breakfast buffet, Gonzolo at the Deck bar, Claudia at the beach.

Jeremy and Gonzolo took good care of us at the Deck Bar.

even though only breakfast and a 6-8pm free bar and snacks are provided.

The beach area is good and the bar and pool nice, BUT, for the rooms and general facilities it's not that cheap.

We had drinks at the inside bar and Francisco was great.

It is about 15 minutes walk from Coco Bongo where there are a good variety of restaurants and bars, also a large supermarket and lots of shops selling tourist tat and excursions.

but also hit up Abolengo, an overlooked bar spot with great food and music.

They had a great bar between the pools and the beach.

Gonzalo at the beach side bar is wizard with a blender and surgeon with a lime.

Quick and efficient bar service in the lobby and at poolside we’re Gonzalo and Eleazar.

The waiters were great at all the bars and restaurants (including Abel and Miguel!).

A return trip to the airport in a taxi cost about 60 dollars, I pre booked a ride with a company called Cancun Shuttle, they were waiting for us at the arrivals hall.

.The halls and my room smell like mildew and gross vitamins.

Negatives were the stale smell in hallway and room and that they split our family up between 2 floors.

Pretty hotel with VERY room-lined long hall leading away from elevator.

The only downside was it felt like housekeeping were constantly stationed outside our room in the hallway, either for daily cleaning and then for turn down services which seemed to be done very late at night.

You might not know this, there’s about an eighth inch gap underneath the door, so whenever neighbors opened/ closed the door or a cranky kid crying in the hallway, we got front row seats to the action.

The only thing I would complain about is a smell that was similar to a sewer in the room and in the hallway.

Strangely, the door to the room was not very good at blocking the noise from the corridor, so our sleep was disturbed.

What didn't work: The carpets in the hallway were too old and first two rooms I was taken to smelled of humidity.

Things I disliked: some loudly guests; people who forget they are not at their home; listening to their stereo systems loudly at the beach; people high seating in the corridors or in the couches in the elevator hall to talk at night (needed to call security one day) – patience you are in Cancun; housekeeping, I noted that the maid who made our rooms was a bit nosy on our belongings; a few things were not found the way we left; the wifi only allows to connect two devices per room.

My room was on the first floor (to British readers that's the ground floor), and in a huge corridor.

but clearly insufficient everywhere else, from lobby to hallways.

I would not hesitate to stay there again - one little improvement could be made to the sound proofing of the rooms - particularly the doors let in a lot of noise from the corridor when people walked past talking.

If a person walks down a hall, opens a door or talks in hallway at one end of hotel you will be able to hear it in your room all the way at the other end of the hall.

Then down the hall for a soak in a salt water jacuzzi for about half and hour until our appointment times.

We could hear the people in the room next to us talking, to the point where we felt like we were part of their conversation, we could hear kids in the hallway laughing and playing.

Only negatives were the slow internet service, no area to dry swimsuits in the room or laundry facilities at the hotel,  can hear people in the halls, doors very thin.

Amazing: Facilities; Staff; Location and Food.

Stay Report - 7/29 to 7/30

Location: This was my second time in Cancun, I think I prefer staying a little more south in the Hotel Zone.

Great hotel, amazing location, and exceptional staff.

Hotel was in a perfect location, quite area

They are hands down the best employees at this location and made our experience great and very personable.

Good location, 15 minute walk from restaurants and flea market.

Great hotel and location to enjoy a beautiful beach and hang out near the downtown cancun (hotel zone).

The location is also nice, walking distance to "town center" with restaurants and night life, also ferry to Isla Majures.

The restaurants located on the property are all very good, with a good assortment of menus.

Location was perfect, I walked each morning to the two story super nice grocery store to get snacks etc.. also a mini market right across the street.

You do need to know where you’re going and the name of place or location.

Because of the location and how this part of the beach is protected in the cove, the waves are minimal, and it is a great place to swim/float/have children play in the water.

Location beyond imagination, Perfect beach and  reef for snorkeling, Room are very nice and very clean, Restaurant need to  change attitude, very arrogant lady there need to get new job.. .Food not the best and overpriced drinks

Overall location and beach area is perfect!

but they are using it as the club due to the COVID pandemic) and located right off the lobby.

Whether it’s luck of the location or hard work of the hotel to keep it clean was not clear,

The hotel was in excellent condition, the service was stellar, the food was incredible and the location is very convenient with pristine beach access!!

If you are looking for a hotel with high standard and a great location, then Intercontinental Cancun is a great choice.

Mangers like Itzal said that she will call me back regards the problem we have in the room and of course she never did.

Without asking re my preferences, the hotel clerk said they prefer charging me the full amount in peso, then she picks up the phone, makes a quick call and announces my first night charge would be refunded, and I should pay in peso for the whole stay.

I would not call them hot tubs per say as the water was not hot,

but even with the phone 1/2 the time they dont work.

They moved us to a different room, had to call for a bellman three times.

We had unfortunately incidents of losing the same phone twice on this trip.

With all of the issues, there was never a phone call made to check on us, offer to 'comp' a meal, or even to send a small fruit platter to the room.

Getting the internet to work involved a call to the front desk and an escalation to tech support.

They were not standing around on their phones the way they do in the United States.

Had to make two calls to to the front desk to make them stop.

but it was not nice to make me pay for a local call to call a taxi, which I ultimately did not need to do because I downloaded skype to my phone and called the cab on my iphone through skype.

however the cleaning service annoyed me a bit during our stay because 3 out of the 6 days we were there, the lady forgot to leave water bottles and coffee capsules which meant I had to call the reception for them to bring them to me.

The cleaning staff usually forgot to bring the daily bottles of water or coffee, we had to call the reception a number of times when they forgot to put the stuff you actually pay when booking this hotel.

With that being said, later that afternoon, I came back to my room and received a phone call that I did not pay for my food when I paid in full and in American dollars for my meal and beverage.

but they just drop the ball, it just didn't happen after I inquired a few time, and they didn't even bother to call me back, nor didn't offer me any other alternative.

Every tweak we requested (like a hairdryer with a longer cord or getting an electric kettle to make tea) was followed up by a phone call to make sure we were pleased.

Throughout the trip Humberto never failed to call us by name or ask how we were enjoying our stay.

Rooms are dated and clinical, food at the beach bar was disgusting (frozen processed meat hamburgers), service was slow, totally overpriced hotel rates particularly when it’s not busy in low season and is not all inclusive, beach swimming area has nets which mean it is so shallow anyone over five feet tall can’t even swim properly, and very average to be considered an Intercontinental - it’s not even good enough to call it a Holiday Inn.

Excellent beach, great diving with Scuba Du on site, great snorkeling on site, pretty pool, good restaurants on site, incredibly clean & well maintained, large nice rooms, great service in every way, only 5 min cab to town.

Pools- one family infinity and 1 adult/quiet pool.

I was pleased to find two pools and an okay beach (it's on the lagoon side which isn't as nice as the ocean side in my opinion).

Also, her manager Javier, the Pool Concierge, does an amazing job, as well, walking the beach and pool area checking on guests just to make sure everything was fine, and in case we needed anything.

We had a large double room for a family of four overlooking the pools and the ocean.The staff were fantastic from the team in the Club lounge for breakfast including Miguel  and also happy hour in the evening with Mariano and Axel.

Pools were nice for early morning swim, gym pretty good

This hotel is beautiful and pristine with two pools and its own private beach with turquoise ocean and white sand.

Lovely beach and pool areas with plenty of sun beds.

The facilities at the hotel are amazing, boasting a gym, spa, swimming pools and multiple restaurants.

The huge pool area includes a large pool (no deep water) and a smaller pool.

Mr. Gullermo (he distributes the towels at the pool and offers tours to Isla Mujeres) had an amazing treatment to us.

We also booked many attractions with Hector and the pool area this guy is fabulous!

The beach, pools, amenities and activities are on par for what you can and should expect.

We also enjoyed the jacuzzi and stesm room.

The private beach area is excellent and the pools are great, too and the breakfast is varied and delicious.

- Design of the yard, the swimming pool, and the restaurants were beautiful.

Dated rooms, cold ambiance and very poor facilities.

Over all the service was pretty poor, it felt like most staff did not want to be there and we were burdening them.

Unfortunately the cons are also significant: the damp room and poor noise-insulation.

Currently stuck in a very poor hotel in Playa Del Carmen and miss the Intercontinental in Cancun.

but he never appeared too busy to take 5 mins to speak to a guest that is having a poor experience.

This room's air conditioning was poor, as it was stuffy and humid.

The hidden costs, charges and the continuous discovery of additional fees reveals your poor management, this is masked by non-transparency on your web sites and advertisements.
