The location of this property is excellent..a five minute walk to the spectacular Playa Delfines and backed by a beautiful golf course.

The beach, pool and service 
 were very good.

Everything was great, room, service, very clean, beach is beautiful, pool on the beach beautiful.

The landscaping  is lovely,  and the pools are really clean.

Infinity pool and the beach loungers were great.

Bar staff around the pool in the lobby bar were great, activities team of Fernanda and Alex were wonderful, and housekeeping staff was amazing.

The same goes for the staff in the pool area, the cleaning crew, staff at the lobby.

There is a beautiful salt water pool that overlooks the ocean.

Saby waitress in the pool area, I did not meet such a positive and involved person, she made our holidays special 😘.

The entertainers at the pool are fabulous, kept us entertained everyday, and everyone here has beautiful smile and helping in every way!!

They were closing up the swimup bar and saw this guest approach the edge of the pool.

We stayed at the coral level resort and enjoyed the pool bar there.

Angela (who takes drinks orders at the pool/beach) ,Fermin (the pool concierge), Marisol (the chef) are a HUGE stand out during my trip.

The pool is a fun spot to hang out, and the beach was beautiful.

There was no construction noise nor party noises,

There was some outdoor construction going on at Hana,

We could have stayed somewhere else and returned after the construction was completed.

The only downside was the construction noise.

There was some construction being done in the late morning

The only big downside in June 2021 was the loud construction all day—our room had hammering and pounding on the wall pretty much every day during work hours, so when rain chased us from the pool and beach there wasn’t much relaxing.

Non-stop construction noise, sorghum everywhere, people reserving pool chairs with towels for hours, salesman near towel area, and very pedestrian food for a four star resort.

There is CONSTRUCTION and not much music.

Outside at the pool the entire day is construction noise.

For those of you wondering there is some construction happening at the resort

I'm sure the hotel has changed since Covid and maybe the construction is complete as well as better customer service.

The only construction going on was at the pool, as they are putting canopies over some of the seating area,

Most of it was under construction at the time.

but this construction was not on things damaged by hurricane.

The loud construction noise was starting to wear on me and it was less than 24 hours from the point of which we had checked in.

Located in the Playa Delfines area, the resort is conveniently located near the airport and nearby plenty of good restaurants and things to do.

The hotel only has one pool that is quite large.

The good news:
- The hotel is shutting down in a few weeks until Jan 2024 to update all the rooms, main pool area, and front entrance.

The pool area has 2 bars, 1 in the pool and 1 nearby along with an outdoor pool restaurant.

The pool area seemed more crowded than the beach area, which was fine with us as we enjoy sitting by the ocean.

The best food we had at the hotel was the pool side menu.

Amazing Hotel, great pool and beach is clear.

The only positive side is the service in the pool area.

The rooms  are clean and spacious and the pool is a good size with ample chairs.

We loved the pool area because they have two very long palapas shading on both sides.

but we took a bus to the public beach one day (Playa Delfines) and walked on the beach for an hour and jumped the waves. :)

Also Adrian by the pool with the great drink service.

Pools and beach were clean and beach chairs were plentiful and comfortable.

We requested, AND PAID FOR, a suite with a large balcony with jacuzzi.

Pools, ocean, restaurants are all very easy to get to.

That means the house keeper, bar keeper, the people who bring your drinks at the pool or the beach and yes, the servers in the buffet who bring your drinks and clean up after you.

The boys that serve around the pool and on the beach do a great job, they certainly get their share of exercise.

This hotel caters to pool parties every day, ALL DAY, which is fine, I guess, BUT at night, I just want to sleep!

The resort has 5 pools, the VIP pool very clean and comfortable.

The pools are at nice temperatures, some slightly cooler

We enjoyed a blissful week watching the ocean, hanging out on the beach and pool, sipping our drinks, enjoying the parties and the entertainment, and the many food options.

The setting is right on the beach, with plenty of pools and different bars.

but that’s all I could really complain about, breakfast is yummy, especially the home made omelette, we ate in most of the restaurants and they where all yummy, the pools where clean, the staff where friendly and it was a brilliant experience, I would definitely recommend the hotel and would return, thankyou riu

Elvis (I know) and Alphonso stood out in the main buffet restaurant and around the pool Alberto , Rene and Guzman stood out also.

Hotel was fabulous, a lovely position on the beach with ample space around the swimming pool.

Bruno at the adult pool was particularly great.

Property is sprawling with multiple pools and a large private area on the beach.

The amenities, like the shampoo and soap, were really awful smelling and totally dried out our skin.

It has flaws such as the shower floor being slanted away from the drain which means water stands inside about 1" deep.

We visited the place at middle of November 2023 , we arrived late after 12h fly , there was one person at reception, waiting 40 min for check in, no one help as with the luggage, so we took it ourselves to the 1st floor ( we stayed in villa) , there was no food, drinks for us , everything was close and the sports bar was empty… The room was covered with mold, the smell was horrible.

Our initial suite/room was not ready at check-in time (3:00pm), quite probably someone was perfuming our room to kill the smoking odor last minute,

During the day it’s overpowering and during the evening can be heard even on 16th floor with the doors closed, in the buffet hall and foyer.

So imagine coming back to your room and the food from the night before and getting slapped with the smell.

That was 5 hours earlier- how had the staff not cleaned up vomit?

Amazing food and service all around, my only complaint would be the amount of cigarette smoking all around the property in indoor common and beach area.

but it’s cleared each morning and we didn’t see any rotting piles of it on the beach and no smell.

We also we had to take a shower with roaches because the water did not go down the drain, so we had roaches to swim around.

On our first night there the jacuzzi in the room wouldn't get hot and the water stunk so we didn't even use it.

He tries to make his way to the bed and is throwing up, dizzy, cross eyed, falling down, and having trouble breathing.

Rooms are damp and needed some TLC, we didn't use the spa bath as the fittings were very old and uninviting.

We Were told You cannot smoke on the secured side.

We had some pop up in the villas on our last couple days, smoking by the pool.

The location is also perfect: direct access to the beach where you can walk or run for good few miles south to Playa Delfines, or north almost to the easternmost end of Mexico.

From tequila volleyball, to the pool foam party, to the carnival beach party!

Highly recommend the suites with a private swim up pool.

the hotel is beautiful, restaurants amazing, pool incredible and beach breathtaking.

Their energy at the pool, creating a college-like atmosphere for the diverse ages, was so fun.

Pools and beach were lovely, and food was tasty.

Rooms have jacuzzi which is great after a tiring day out at the beach.

There was a lovely show at the pool one of the days I was there with tribal dances & rituals.

The pools are immaculate and Ivan and David, the pool concierges are the very best in taking care of the guests.

We had a room with an ocean view and a balcony over looking the pool .

I’d like to particularly commend Ivan, David, Isal, Sergio and Humberto in the bar & pool area, Martha in the spa and Ambassador team Ingrid, Ana, Monica, Paulina.

The swimming pools design is artistic and beautiful.

All areas around the pool and cabana area are very clean and maintained.

The hammock on the balcony was amazing, the pool was very clean.

but the pools here were warmer in December than the pools in Punta Cana.

I insisted that we should not be charged and reluctantly they 'waived' the additional fee for us.

Which tells me they're probably not getting paid what they deserve.

They don’t provide them anymore and charge $12 USD for a metal straw.

The spa - They were running a promotion to get an 80 minute massage at the price for a 50 minute so I took advantage of it plus they added on Hydrotherapy treatment.

As I explained to him a bunch of people were upset they couldn’t sit in or by the pool unless they paid $80 for a cabana each day (which came with 2 loungers in the pool) As Mr.Rojas explained to me this money grab was put in place by previous management

There is also entertainment every day and night, with a range of shows and classes at no extra cost.

The only downsides of our stay were the terrible sales pitch on check in, super misleading and time wasting. He promised a three minute chat to provide us our welcome package, turned into a 15 minute guilt trip to sign up for a 90 minute sales pitch saying "he wouldn't get paid if we didn't attend."

The premium wine was a tab on the expensive side,

And far too many hidden fees, especially for things which should have been included (ex: a chair by the pool or on the beach, a seat to watch the nightly entertainment , etc. ).

Once those are taken, you either have to pay for a chair or cabana, or find a place to store your stuff.

but not if I could find something close to price.

He told me if I paid him I could sit there.

Little if any consideration for the guests unless you want to pay extra as in the seating around the pool and at the beach.

This is additional cost and is not cheap.

though it's an all inclusive, there are plenty of things they want you to pay an extra charge for so just stick to the normal menus and you'll be fine!

but the only way you could get a poolside chair is if you pay money for a cabana.

I quickly realized that there was no hot water for a much-needed shower.

Some people we spoke to said that the couple of thunderstorms we had in the evenings flooded their floor, so I would definitely not have liked to be on a lower level.

The bottom of our tub felt like it was going to cave in while taking a shower.

There is no ventilation in these bathrooms.

Our toliet got stopped up and we couldn't shower the last day due to no pressure.

This is a very outdated resort the rooms are old the bathroom tub was horrible, water pressure was awful there was a constant leak from the ceiling the tiles on the floor was breaking up.

there was flooding in our room and then asked to get switched to another room and they tried to give me a room with mold , which is ridiculous.

Upon arriving we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests, then when we got a new room, the shower head fell off and the shower was missing half of the door/glass so when taking a shower water got everywhere in the bathroom.

Cons: little to no AC anywhere at the resort - our room AC never turned off and it just felt cool, not cold; the bathroom, especially the shower was in need of some serious renovating, the resort would not break bigger bills into 5s and 1s-we had to ask wait staff for change for 20s.

Safe had a dead battery, AC leaked onto the floor, technician came and fixed it then leaked again the next day.

It looked like someone threw up on our toilet seat top when we arrived in our delapitated room.

The paint everywhere is peeling, our balcony door was broken so it was very hard to open, our bathtub faucet did not work, and our safe was broken.

Ok, then, at 3pm we were given a tiny room with one bed, and a broken bathroom, a portion of ceiling fell into the tub.

The elevator had a few glitches and our shower has low pressure and was lukewarm.

We had some problems with the pool and the toilet,

In my preferred club, plunge pool room, there were;
Moldy unhealthy drapes,
Flying bugs,
Dirty Rings around the plunge pool,
Milky film on plunge pool water top
Dirty furnitures
Dirty shower area and tub
and many more
I paid extra to be upgraded to preferred club,

To add to this the bathroom and toilet area were extremely grubby and not to the standard advertised.

(We had two rooms as my sister and nephew were traveling along with us 
so this wasnt an isolated case) the curtains, cloth seats walls, even some blankets, sheets and pillows even after room service (thats how we noticed they dont change sheets and  even just re fold your wet towels and put them back in your room)

-a lot of things that didnt work or were broken, shower, phones, etc
One of my kids got 2 cuts in one one of his toes cause the pool had missing tiles and sharp edges.

but the room omg they where full of humidity and fungus in everywhere, chairs, curtains, beds, pillows, and walls, u can smell it right away, the bathroom was leaking a lot and they never send nobody.

The location is great, 5 minutes walk from the Cancun sign at Playa Delfines.

Both were so friendly and really kept you engaged in the pool activities.

This resort  location  is right in the heart of Cancun, with multiple pools and one of the most beautiful beaches.

the staff was extremely attentive, the food was pretty good for being an all inclusive resort, and the pools and the beach was fantastic.

The pool bar was great and the barman  was just amazing, sorry I forgot your name.

The entertainment team was fun and kept the pool entertaining.

The bartenders by the adult pool were great, Damaris and Enrique made the best drinks and were jumping at the opportunity to get my family anything!

Food is great, pools are excellent and staff are brilliant.

although better at the main pool than the adults only.

He made sitting around the pool enjoyable too!

There are many many tiles missing at the pool any more.

Pool staff, especially Elvis, 
was awesome.

I suspect friends or family members of workers or off duty workers are also using the pools and are given preferential treatment over paying guests.

We enjoyed nightly shows and just the relaxation at the pool.

The property is beautiful in the main areas such as foyer and pool deck.

Gama and his team had lots of fun things to do throughout the day at the pool and beach.

We had so much fun at the resort, many different things to do, karaoke, pool volleyball, game room etc.

So, we braved it in our room for the duration of the vacation.

Only one item (we did not complain about) was the room a/c.

They simply suggest a room change as if you stay somewhere after that.

I talked with several other guests who had similar room issues and they were also mad as hell.

Certain hotel rules were goofy to us such as you are not allowed to take food from the restaurants to you room.

Just stay well clear unless you like low end dated and unclean hotel, loud 80s disco you can hear in most rooms till very late.

Some people saw roaches in their rooms and in the preferred club near the food.

The only downside to the hotel would be that it does need some renovations for general upkeep in the rooms for example,

The rooms are very very old and dirty and with mold.

The food was mediocre and so is the alcohol unless you reserve a room above the 4th floor.

Our room was extremely dated and nothing fancy at all and the quick dinner we had at the buffet was horrible.

Found 2 cockroaches in the room and hallways.

Despite daily room cleaning, there were visible signs of black mold throughout the room, especially the bathroom, which confirmed a lack of cleaning and maintenance.

The linens, rooms, beds, and bathroom is filled with black mold.

There was also a sewer gas smell coming from the bathroom, which had no ventilation.

THE BAD: Outdated rooms, bottom door hinge was broken, bedsheets smelled, curtains were stained, not all electrical outlets worked.

No ac in any place except your room, not in lobby, hallways, restaurants, it’s hot, stuffy, and smells dirty.

The patio chairs were filthy and the glass on the balcony was so dirty you couldn’t see through it.

The armchair was disgusting, dirty and stained, broken lamp, broken dirty curtains (not sliding), broken cabinets and drawers that do not open or close.

but here goes the list

-Mold in the rooms!!!

Stayed one night due to mildew smell, shower scalding hot and when they came to fix left dirt, mud sludge in shower.

WE NEVER used it because it was FILTHY will post pictures!!

The rooms are full of mold, had to be switched to another room.

My room smelled like paint as soon as we walked in.

There’s construction on one side of the hotel,

major construction was happening Dec 10-17, 2022 when we were there, right next to us in B601, and that was a vacation destroyer.

Plus the building construction is pretty unsightly.

Now the paving slabs are being replaced and it is impossible to swim in the children's pool and the adjoining adult one, the dust from construction works flies in the face and water.

Still some construction going on for now, so that was our only "cleanliness" negative.
