Many restaurants in the area if the 6 in the property doesn't have anything you want to eat.

After staying at the Royalton CHIC - it was a breathe of fresh area to get a break from the party, drink your monies worth experience.

He took us to see the areas where they protect the sea turtles eggs and explained the encubation process.

Additional Items to Note - 

- The property is pretty rundown in most areas compared to other Marriotts at similar locations.

There is a path-way from the lobby in the AC area so you do not have to use the beach or street to access. 4.

The location is splendid and the beach area is the best.

There is also a basketball area, and fussball machine.

This location is also further from main area for restaraunts

The public areas are quite nice and the staff are excellent

Specifically the team working the pool and beach area.

The sushi and chicken skewers I had almost everyday, the hummus, happy hour facing the ocean below the pool area.

The pool area and beach had suffered some damage

The pool area has made improvements - such as shaded areas around the perimeter of the pool and by the poolside bar.

Everything  from the doorman to the concierges was superb
We visisted recently with Husband/Familiy & Friends
Thru all the different areas in the Hotel we felt akcnowledged and provided with the best Hospitality.

Grand elegant lobby and awesome pool area.

Being in the Tourist Zone made the hotel area feel safer.

I loved the swimming pool area and the massage that I had done in their spa.

The pool area is very nice enclosed are some pics taken from my balcony.

I mean it is a very very long walk + elevators to get from one room to another.

The guests also didn’t wear masks in the elevator, which at times were packed were people.

I was placed in a room near the elevators.

Masks: they require it in the lobby, elevator or until you sit down at the lobby bar or restaurant.

Masks are required in all indoor areas, there is hand sanitizer everywhere, limited numbers of riders on elevators, and plexiglass at the front desk and concierge.

This was absurd things like only one functional elevator, which caused frequent delays since only one party could ride in elevator at a time.

Here is a scenario for you - husband and I in elevator.

I would've given it 5 stars if not for the full size beds, and one working elevator due to renovations.

When walking back from breakfast we were advised we could use the service elevator.

My only complaint about this property is the elevator.

Also note, if you stay on a higher floor, there is only 1 elevator.

My dad did get stuck in the elevator in between floors, which was mildly disconcerting,

Things weren't well labeled(to get to the pool or the elevator etc).

No need to take the freight elevator any longer.

Hotel lobby is still being renovated some elevators don’t work and very noisy in that area.

48 hours later I ran into the Director of Loss Prevention in the elevator who then finally came to my room and told me they couldn't see anything on their security cameras.

Unfortunately during my stay the elevator was broken almost 1 (one) evening, I stay in the 4th floor so I must going up and down with stairs.

We were concerned as it was right by the elevator

Its facilities, the staff, the restaurants, the location, the beach, together provide a very pleasant experience for the visitor.

The location is safe which is number one for me.

but least it's located across the street from so really good resturants too.

The beach with Sachbe Beach Shack provided the awesome beach service - drinks, sunbrella & the perfect location [while tanning].

Location is good, service in general is fine

This was one of the best Marriott locations we have visited.

since Cancun is a tourist location there is constant in and out of tourists and what is missing is personal touch from the staff.

The rooms have nice balconies and the location is within an easy drive to popular spots.

The beach on north part (where Intercontinental located) is a lot nicer.

Yep , this place is a wonderful location to waste hours of your holiday trying to see the GM or duty manager.

Marriott REALLY out did themselves with this location.

We sat underneath a palapa every day on the beach and Santos and Ricardo took care of us ensuring that we liked the location and got us towels and tables.

This was a new location for my wife and I.

Very nice place on a perfect location in the middle of miles long Beach strip.

The hotel has a nice position on the beach

Call the resort ahead of time to book else upon arrival.

Closed and crunched me when I followed my wife through while looking at my phone.

Had to constantly chase down maids or call the desk. Restaurants?

I tried calling the hotel many times to talk to Antonio,

but if you just call and tell them when you can go, they will mostly figure it out.

They said they were overwhelmed with documents to verify and did it while I was on the phone.

Walk over and scan a form on your phone to fill out.

* I could not use the mobile keyless feature.

When I called back, the same woman answered the phone; I asked her could you please transfer me to the front desk!!

No ac and no lights or ways to change my phone.

but the staff even gave these children plastic candles while the parents minded their phones & wine more.

The Cons
• While I would say this hotel is family friendly, I would not call it toddler/baby friendly.

Had to call three times for the man to bring some pillows

The call to front desk only route to a number that nobody answer.

Finally ended up calling hotel and they informed me I booked through EXPEDIA not Marriott.

The first night we did not have bed linens for the sofa bed in the suite and I had to call the front desk twice and actually go down there to get some linens to make the bed for my son at 10:00 at night.

I had to call the front desk multiple times to get towels and TP to the room.

We need to call out a few all-star performers at the resort.

Located in the Playa Delfines area, the resort is conveniently located near the airport and nearby plenty of good restaurants and things to do.

Everything else was great the pool service and food were delighted and enjoyable.

The pool is a whole lot of fun with the ocean just steps away.

Food was good (do not order a drink and expect alcohol order a shot on the side) views and pool was clean.

Lobby is grand and greats you with the pool and ocean.

- Amazing staff, from concierge to the chef to the staff at pool.

Isaac and Miguel, supervisors Eduardino were excellent to make sure we were happy
•	So happy to see Patricio the Pool Maintenance we have know for over 30 years.

Pool, is the place where the majority hang out.

Shout out to Abi by the pool, our room attendant Guadalupe, and Hana’s Chef Christian, famous Fernando, and his good friend Bartender Roberto.

We also loved that their were still pool chairs available mid day for our kids that choose to sleep until noon.

I highly recommend dancing with him by the pool.

The pizza place was a great place for late night snacks, and our family quickly fell in love with the food outside by the pool.

We overlooked the pool and the ocean so it dose not get much better than  that!

Not always, did have some excellent service from one of the girls at the pool bar and one of the guys at Sac Be.

Do look for Marcela if you go by the pool.

The checkin was easy, they have free parking, a new Polynesian dining experience, and a cozy hideaway/hangout under the pool deck that is right on the beach and  s great photo spot.

Resort charge is pretty poor value of you don't have kids.

but that doesn’t get over poor quality accommodation.

I am outraged by their poor customer service.

None of the pool serving staff are taking responsibility of any area or sector resulting in poor or non-existent delivery of drinks and/or food.

Basically they are running a scheme where they charge you 6 times more for piss poor beer and trying to restrict you from bringing in anything else.

Both omelette and scrambled eggs very overcooked and the selection was poor.

but the quality of the food was also poor.

Unfortunately, Aquaworld has dated equipment and generally poor quality experiences.

People in line for pizza are making big life decisions and there is only one poor guy to deal with that

The only minor issue was that my teen daughter got stacked in the elevator all by herself, the elevator wasn't working properly for a couple of days and poor girl got stacked in the elevator between floors, she got in panic and was hyperventilating

Believe this is why our service was poor compared to other diners.

The sofabed in the room was poor Quality and the room itself not state of the art.

but very bad food, and poor quality drinks.

While the food was fine, this place is extremely noisy due to the teppanyaki circus and poor sound management in its design.

The restaurants are very poor for the quality and variety of the food.

but the volume is so poor I had to use my mobile to hear the call.

The building is under renovation which may have been the reason for the poor state of some areas.

The oils they used seem to be very poor quality as they leave a not very pleasant scent in your skin afterwords.

Special mention for their attention to Alberto from the front desk, Fidel and Uriel who kindly helped us with the luggage, as well as José Lazaro from the Hanna restaurant, many other names that we do not remember

They made our dinner celebration a memorable night to remember and to cherish.

Every restaurant in the hotel is delicious, the service is outstanding!

Food was delicious, and the room was very comfortable.

Very well taken care of resort, very clean, amazing staff, and fantastic food.

And the breakfast and buffet was superb very tasty and properly cooked.

So convenient to have restaurants walking distance.

- So far tried the Thai restaurant here and the food was amazing.

Again, the staff were really great and good food at the buffet and at the Japanese restaurant.

Everything there was tasty and my favorite is the tacos with beef flank and the mango with chamoy Daiquiri.

Food and drinks at various outlets were impressive as well.

Tasty restaurants such as Hana Polynesian [breakfast & dinner].

If you get up late like us, you can have a great brunch with ocean view.

The only con is the customer service in the hotel is slow and not great

The appointment itself was pretty slow, and took about 30 minutes despite having pre-registered with our information.

Check-in is very slow, I'm still not sure why they are charging a resort fee, they cannot offer all the amenities.

however, the check-in process was painfully slow.

Don’t understand why it took long - maybe agents are new, maybe IT is slow??

The check in process was a little bit slow, I am not sure why it took so long to get checked in.

Food we ordered came out very slow, wrong meals were served and the staff wasn’t able to recover from it.

but is very noisy due to its design and service was quite slow.

Front desk was a little slow with no one waiting to check in.

The room was slow to be cleaned even after I requested that it be cleaned it took 2+ hours for them to do so.

Also wifi was slow and we gave up trying to stream anything. The accounting systems seem to need improvement, as many transactions need to be separated (happy hour drinks check separate from welcome drink check separate from food check.)

however it was slow season so I’m sure there was a lot of availability.

The worst part is now the wifi is extremely slow!

I am not sure if this is a slow time of year for the resort

but like in most places, service is slow.

The Steak house service is VERY slow, and don't ask for a straw for your Strawberry daiquiri which come in a glass with such a small mouth you can't get the drink out of it, because straws are not allowed!

Elevators and some common areas did not have AC which was shocking for a 4-5star hotel.

Inside temperature: I was concerned that the inside of the resort, specifically the restaurants, would be freezing cold, after being in the sun all day.

They confirmed that the ENTIRE building had no AC.

Rooms are very old; restrooms, AC, walls, bedding, floors; just about everything.

No air conditioner in the corridor or the elevator.

Neighbors dirty room service dishes stayed outside of room for 24 hrs despite me calling to have them picked up (I didn't want bugs)
Check in took very long, one room we didn't get until almost midnight, AC was broken, they wouldn't change rooms until the entire day was gone
Luggage took very long to get to room, most people I saw took their own
Elevators are very slow, we took stairs

The first night : My air conditioner did not work: At 1 AM We were moved to another room!

The flush lever broke in my toilet and the AC wouldn’t go below 25 C. One of the elevators was broken down and the other two were boiling hot and slower than anywhere else I’ve ever experienced.

Sink leaked, Floors and Walls stained, Mirror pealing, Couch was filthy, Air Conditioner Leaked, Outlet pulled out of wall, and toilet seat was wrong size.

Our room temperature never went below 24 degrees even when the AC was on all the time.

Our stay would have been improved if the elevators all worked and were air conditioned (at one point it took us a half hour to get an elevator we could fit in and the elevators were stifling).

Wasn't a fan of the drinks unless in the prestige lounge

I've seen a lot of stuff on the rooms being old or not cooling well, outdated, etc.

however most of the room  AC is not  working , elevator pretty much is a sauna no even a fan .pool areas acceptable condition

We ended up switching rooms to a non renovated room and that’s when we had the awful toilet smell and flooding.

Their A/C vent also leaked during the entire stay.

Was rare to get someone who cared and wanted to make people happy A/C was always broken or wrong.

The fan, lighting fixtures were all dusty and covered with cob web.

the beach bar has a small food outlet and this was really good, food was cooked to order and served hot !

I'm only giving two stars for the staff at the buffet and the view of the beach from their main pool.

The beach is gorgeous and the staff is very attentive.

A big shout out to must go to Israel, Guedelupe ( Sorry if I've spelt that wrong) and the team at the Star Prestige Beach Bar, they were amazing and really looked after us.

The beach wasn’t very swimmable due to sargassum seaweed.

The Mexican restaurant had really good appetizers and lovely display 
* Grounds, pool and beach are fantastic and the pool area is so well designed to accommodate all ages.

We took a walk down the beach to go to the Cancun sign.

They were all just "ok." Honestly, our favorite food were at the food truck at the beach, they seemed to have the most flavor.

The pools and the beaches were wonderful, clean, and refreshing in the heat.

I can't say enough about the staff at beach area.

While we enjoyed every moment outside in the pool and beach

The VIP beach area was our favorite- Guadalupe was fantastic and was incredibly attentive.

but has a lot if issues

Good: Location, Beach, staff is very friendly

Bad:  None of the pools cater to kids, the shallow ends are 4 ft, so most can stand and walk

Elevators are horrible.

The pools were maintained beautifully as were the grounds you felt it was very clean and safe. The beach front villas where my son and his family stayed were a great family site (and no elevators necessary.)

On top of that, you have to make reservations to get into any restaurant besides the buffet.

There are a number of delicious restaurants to satisfy your palate.

Staff: 
Nothing good to say about the staff except for the servers at the buffet.

There was also nacho ingredients everywhere.

Should think of a way to make it more available and convenient 
* Staff need training especially the morning eggs.

Uriel, Manuel and Hector went above and beyond in the buffet.

Restaurants are great, staff is welcoming, food is delicious.

Michael acted as our liaison with the bakery, ever patiently forwarding questions about each detail, which resulted in a delicious professional cake for my niece’s birthday.

Trust me donot miss this part or you will land up eating at the buffet restaurant all day. 5.

We frequented the steak house and hibachi restaurants for their excellent service and delicious food.

The food was delicious and the service that Irving provided at breakfast was amazing.

The buffet offered a lot of different choices each day,

Food -

The main buffet has reasonable selection with nice variety of foods

And Jesus from the buffet for your great service.

It was a struggle to choose healthy items in the restaurants.

The variety of food cause lack of quality at the main buffet restaurant.

A few highlights:

Food was very good, buffet was plentiful and continually re-stocked.

the first day we got there we had a broken door handle.

The balcony doors were a little hard to open.

Pros: 
Servers and staff work very hard and are kind
Food and beverage is tasty
Swim area and beach chairs are spacious
Entertainment was engaging and fun

Cons:
Room 412 was a bit outdated, broken sink faucet, broken patio door (we had to push our ottoman and put suitcase on top to prevent it from banging all night).

Door was stuck (never fixed and had to push it really hard every time).

Not recomend at all.. Ohn, almost forgot,   door lock was broken as well.. needed to call 5x times (got locked from outside twice).

FYI sleep quality in connecting rooms is not the greatest, we could clearly hear every move our next door neighbor made through the connecting room doors (i.e.

My AirPods and $180 was stolen the patio door was cracked

Rooms are dirty, black mold in the bathroom, dirty walls, tiny bugs on the floor, balcony doors are hard to open.

I was just about to smash the glass door in when the security guard opened the curtain and just stared out at me…
