This 7 nights all-inclusive stay was the best trip ever!

The All Inclusive Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun, absolutely fits into this category.

Hotel: Live Aqua Cancun: Ocean Front – Premium Room King Bed – all inclusive: 4.5 Stars!

The food is better than most all inclusive resorts and I have stayed at more than 20.

I would recommend several other all inclusive in the Cancun area,

Third night we went to MB which is their nicest of the all-inclusive restaurants.

Ala carte food was quit average for an all inclusive.

Live Aqua was an all inclusive and adult only resort.

The resort as a whole is everything you could want in an all inclusive resort.

There are too many all inclusive resorts that offer a higher quality across the board for any of these areas to be skimped on.

but this place does not feel like a typical all inclusive resort, more like a hotel with a very nice pool and beach.

This resort also charges for normal amenities and is far from all inclusive.

This was an awesome and fun all-inclusive adult only resort.

The Sushi Chef, Carlos Gonzalez is nice and friendly and created great dishes for us.

The beach and pool area were beautiful, nice and clean as well as heated

Housekeeping service was impeccable, the room was cleaned spotlessly everyday and the turndown service was a nice touch.

but the beach was super clean (no seaweed) and there were plenty of chairs and cabanas available.

The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and boasted comfortable beds.

Cleanliness: Our room on the 7th floor was very clean and well maintained.

The room itself was big, decorated nicely, had a comfortable bed and was spotlessly clean and the bathroom was nice too with its Molton Brown products.

Beach was clean and well attended for all of our needs.

The cleanliness, friendliness and festive atmosphere of the hotel ensures that we will definitely be back soon!

I will start by saying that the resort grounds are beautiful, well kept and everything is very clean.

The entire resort is fastidiously clean, the rooms are modern and all of the amenities are in good working order.

The grounds are beautiful and the pools immaculate.

This setup is the best we have experienced at any beach resort - clean pools, clean beach, beautiful soft sand.

I’m not one for writing reviews so will just keep things basic.

After we were shown the hotel & room I thought it was new construction instead of over four decades old.

-so remember how I had the con for the construction next store?

They put us in a room next directly next to a construction zone.

We were initially placed on the right side of the hotel near the construction of the new RIU hotel which was very noisy, so the hotel was flexible and put us on the other side with an ocean view, making our 6th anniversary truly special.

I requested to change the room due to a lot of noise from constructions.

While there was construction next door, I didn’t hear it once.

Construction site next door was a major eye sore.

Imagine our shock on entering our garden view room after checking in , the whole view from the balcony is a construction site , not the type of garden view I had in mind when I booked !!

Cons: resort is older and needs some updates/maintenance, not many daily activities at the resort, location is not very private (noisy construction next door).

A large hotel is under construction next door, creating an intermittent noise problem for the next few months.

The daily construction noise was terrible and continued til 1 and sometime 2 am in the morning.

I was ok with the room until the 1st morning when I woke up and there was a lot of construction going on next door.

Be aware that “premium garden view rooms” may well place you on one side of the hotel facing a new construction next door, while the other side puts you over the mechanical plant and it’s constant noise.

I would ask for a room where you can’t see the construction – if possible.

Our room was room 1264 and should be blocked off until the construction is done.

When we were there, there was quite a bit of remodeling happening and we’re looking forward to going back and seeing the updates!

We could have looked over a construction site next door and not had the night time noise, so the couple of evenings of musical noise were not a bad trade off!

Neither Monse or Alajandra(manager) at the front check in counter was able to find me a room that wasn't extremely loud due to construction or from huge air vents for the hotel.

We got massages during our stay and it was personalized and the greatest massage I have ever gotten.

Rebecca in the lobby gives amazing hand massages and was very helpful with spa bookings.

I liked the beach area and the fact that on most days we could either sit on the breach loungers or book a cabana with its included foot massage.

We had facials and massages and used the hydrotherapy, sauna, and  vapor room each day we had a service.

It was relaxing, the spa services and attendants were some of the best that I have encountered with extensive traveling.

They helped us with check in, helped make spa and restaurant reservations and checked in consistently to make sure our stay was perfect.

The couples massage was one that made my husband fall in love with professional massages.

Alexandra, Hector, Flavio and Jonathan at the towel hut - thank you so much for always, without fail, setting us up in our cabana and scheduling my foot massages like clockwork.

Elena and Karina give the best foot massages ever!!!

Try the spa, they have excellent masseuses on staff.

If I'd known this, I would've budgeted it in to my trip

To conclude, this is a wonderful resort with many positives; the spa, amazing rooms, great choice of restaurants, immaculate grounds and near to the airport.

The hotel itself was great as well I appreciated the spa like feel and the crowd was great.

My wife and I did the couples massages and that was very relaxing.

It was cleaned daily and turned down at night with accompanying aromatherapy scents for our pillows.

His experience, care and hard work were very appreciated by everyone in our group.

Hotel Personnel who had a direct impact on our stay was the Ashley Garcia who should be revered for his dedication to leadership and hospitality.

Omar at Azur made the experience extra special for me and my wife.

The staff was incredible and went out of their way to make our experience so memorable.

They definitely made the experience better in spite of some of the deficiencies of the resort.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Live Aqua for 8 nights in Dec 2023 and it was a magical experience.

Among the most opulent experiences in Cancun, this place stands out.

Cesar at MB stood out the most with his warmth and willingness to make our final meal unlike anything we experienced.

Their goal is to truly make your experience super special.

We had an excellent experience at the carnivore restaurant, they gave us the service from the Italian place and it was amazing

House Keeping: Our housekeeping experiences were wonderful.

The drinks service on the beach was the best that I had ever experienced as they came round often which for me was good for my water, sprite, or a cheeky cocktail (or two – I do like a pina colada or Cosmopolitan).

but is pretty much all vendors/shops that we experienced and that's not a positive thing.

The scents of the hotel were one thing we weren’t expecting and found to be such a cool thing as well making the experience that much more elegant and memorable.

This fact in and of itself says a lot about the experience you will find here.

I do have to say I had a great experience with all of the servers/staff at that restaurant and went back for breakfast as well.

Xel-ha pick you up and drop you off at your hotel.

We were torn between Chichen Itza and Xel-ha and Leo helped us choose Xel-ha.

but not to die for and the pools were extremely clean.

The resort is very clean and well maintained.

This hotel is is clean tidy and staff are friendly unfortunately that doesn’t help its shortcomings 
We are British and this hotel is mostly American  tourists so the hotel tends to tend to their needs, tipping is expected for everything and if you don’t you wait at bars and notice they push local shorts your way and short measures.

When we arrived to our room, it was clean and tidy.

Service:

The people that cleaned our room provided excellent service.

Overall the resort has improved, the grounds are beautiful and very clean, they work hard on maintaining the premises.

Our room in casitas, block 26, was very clean.

The maintenance and grounds keeping staff work tirelessly to keep this place immaculate.

As always, the landscaping crew work tirelessly to keep the place spotless and beautiful!

Also the guitar player kept shaking his long sweaty hair and spreading his sweat all around, including coming to the edge of the stage near the audience.

She helped me with appointments at the spa for hair and makeup.

There is a few areas with clean, great swimming spots

Our room was beautiful and mega clean with a well stocked bar.

If you manage to get a reservation and miss it you will be fined $100 USD.

Some a la carte servings were quite small and there was a lot of menu options not included in the all inclusive package meaning that you needed to pay additional charges for some items.

The taxi from the hotel is 65.00 USD and last

Taxes - there are additional costs outside of booking the hotel from the Mexican government so you have to pay a resort fee tax and a sanitation tax.

Food was mediocre at best except for Fuentes that we paid $100/pp extra.

I have to say that this hotel is not a luxury hotel and is not worth the money we paid.

As I have said this is 5th time Mexico most expensive hotel and by miles the worst, we read reviews ect before booking and our take on it is a lot of Americans come back and love it

Overall for the price we paid over £2000 each we shouldn't have to pay for extras like the sauna or some of the other resturants like fuentes wasn't included.

I’m disappointed the beach is not nice no swimming no snorkeling unless you pay for an excursion.the food was good

but when you've paid lots of money to be in all Inclusive hotel it's really not good enough.

I will say that other places I have stayed at this price point comparing apples to apples the basic room at some other places the room was bigger and nicer.

THE ROOM/SUITE
We paid for a Honeymoon Suite.

So it works out quite an expensive night-

To us it didn't make sense to pay that fee, when you had pool service anyways and 2 restaurants right by the pool.

My only complaint with the dinner show was that the wine pairings are an extra cost and they don't tell you about it in advance its just sprung on you once you sit at the table and its an extra $50 USD per person.

but it was at another on the other resort we also didn’t get to enjoy the whole experience because the massage included extra things that the concierge told us weren’t included and we had to pay extra for but when we got to the spa they said it was included.

We booked this resort through RCI and received an invoice stating it was paid in full and it was what we needed to check in.

We have no issue with the cancellation, except that we paid for the cruise upfront.

Food okay, grounds nice, could not find interesting entertainment.

And you can have a dance and karaoke in the evening aswell.

We have been to Mexico twice before and stayed at the El Dorada Seaside suites and Maroma which both of these hotels were excellent, great service and good quality food and great entertainment.

There is nightly entertainment that is always fun and plenty of things to do during the day if you so choose.

Entertainment is pretty much nonexistent at the resort

This a large resort

We were offered an opportunity to take the tour and receive a discount on an offered trip or the Fuentes dining show.

Il name a few really special staff that we met on our trip.

The shows were good- typical entertainment.

The facilities,staff, entertainment, food and grounds of the resort were amazing and really made it one of the best holidays we've had.

butler service 5 star restaurants and entertainment.

Very hospitable, entertaining and courteous.

The entertainment support staff does the utmost best to keep clients engaged.

but it’s the entertainment staff/events that keep us coming back.

This building is very close to the entertainment venue so you will have fairly loud music till around midnight each day.

Hugo was the night time entertainment host and did a great job with fun shows.

There was rarely something scheduled to bridge between early dinner and the late show time.

but the water is filled with large breakwater blocks and you wouldn’t be able to swim.

The ocean front is just rocks and a bit of beach to walk along, so if you want a beautiful pristine beach that you can swim at, this isn’t for you.

You also can’t swim in the sea as it is stormy and not always safe and also  there are boulders to break the wind so it isn’t as picture perfect as one would want it. 3.

You are also unable to swim in the sea due to the large rocks that are in there.

We didn’t bring our swim wear so couldn’t enjoy the full experience.

The ocean view from our swim out made up for a lot.

The facilities are amazing, we loved the Beds on the beach, the swim up bars etc, it’s a full on party atmosphere so if your from Texas and you want a full on four day pool party with foam then this is it.

Our room was a lovely swim up newly refurbished at the extreme end of the resort.

There is also absolutely no beach to swim in, coral reefs and large concrete structures line the beach.

We just returned from our trip at the El Dorado Royale Section in a swim up room.

Swimming with turtles and cave swim and an all day trip to Chichen Itsza.

Once we got into the room (building 44 with a swim-up room) we were so pleased.

Rooms

Pros:
Swim up rooms are GREAT if you want to keep having fun once the main pool winds down.

The views were pretty BUT They had coral reefs ￼ that prevented you to swim in the water!

It’s literally just a sand beach to lay on the water is full of these big concrete blocks that stop you from being able to swim and trap in all the seaweed.

We got the swim up suite, which we LOVED.

There was minimal beach to walk on and the view was disrupted by the concrete wave breakers which also limited the ability to swim in the ocean.

We played beach volleyball and pool sports.

Activities were really fun, thoroughly enjoyed the pool volleyball and polo.

Pool volleyball, foam parties, and water aerobics (more of a water dance type thing) all added to the great experience.

Daniel, Javier, Laly, and Andre continuously suggested activities such as volleyball, water events, greenhouse tours, towel folding, the Mexican fiesta, etc.

We had an awesome time with the beach volleyball playing with Laly, Andre, Daniel (Poncho), Fernando, and Hugo!

We Loved our daily volleyball routine at 11 AM and 4 PM!

Activities range from Spanish classes, cooking classes, archery, yoga, 5k runs, pool volleyball, dance classes, and so much more.

From beach ⛱ volleyball to Cinco de Mayo they were great.

Restaurants were pretty decent and they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions of being vegan..  Shoutout to Fernando, Mimi, laly, poncho and andre for putting together such great activities especially the volleyball!

Activities scheduled every day at El Dorado Royale Resort, and our kids enjoyed most of them, especially the beach volleyball.

The pool had consistent activity and music, with volleyball, handball, and water aerobics happening each day.

The plethora of daily activities was great with variety of volleyball, archery, mixology, pool, ping pong or just a nice walk around the property.

They really made us feel welcome- whether by salsa or Spanish lessons or playing ping pong, volleyball or water aerobics!!!

One thing I recommend is taking the top and right rooms on the beach which will be away from the volleyball nets.

We had tons of fun playing beach volleyball, and ping pong with them.

Laly and Noemi were at volleyball and water polo as well with us.

Javi and Gaby - from entertainment, thanks to both of them for great fun on the bike tour and volleyball, I wish I could have so much fun every day

The activités are what you typically expect of an all inclusive resort from  beach volleyball, polo through to ping pong comps etc.

There are so many activities going on that you can enjoy such events as volleyball, water polo, tequila tasting, archery, rifle shooting and we had great fun at the towel folding class!

The are great conversationalist and love playing volleyball. #VOLLEYBALLTEAM

We did one trip from the hotel to Xel Ha which was a long

We went to Chichen Itza one day and Xel-Ha to swim with dolphins another day and I would 100% recommend both!

My husband and I had just returned to El Dorado resorts after a long (fun-filled) day at the Tulum Ruins and Xel Ha.

Room service is free which is a nice touch, we arrived back late from xel-ha and room service was estimated at 45mins to an hour and came within 20 minutes.

I highly recommend taking an excursion or two while there to a cultural site, such as Chichen Itza or to one of the parks, such as Xel Ha or Xcaret.

I must mention the dolphin gimme all package Aswell this was a fantastic day out at Xel-Ha swimming with dolphins.

Xel Ha which was our favourite trip- I highly recommend a visit here - full of natural beauty and activities such as snorkelling, zip lining, a lazy river through the mangroves, cliff jumping, cycling, and there is a new veiwing tower that you can slide down - overall it’s amazing!

This resort was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Such a great place where everything is clean, service is above par, and so much to do especially with family.

The room was very clean and has a good view of the ocean and pool, and since most of the activities were planned around the pool, it was easy to get a glimpse from the room if you didn’t want to go down.

One bedroom family suite that we had was clean and updated.

The hotel overall was clean and had everything our family needed during our stay.

The beach was clean and the best part of the vacation.

The rooms are clean and pleasant and the "camarista" was very nice and cleaned our room always at the same time of day.

There was always new clean towels every day.

but the room is clean and people seem nice.

Our room was clean and perfect for us (Master suite 1 bedroom) and there is great coffee for coffee lovers (24h coffee shop that rivals starbucks).

The facilities were clean, and the design of the resort allowed us to quickly get to everything.

My two daughters went for a massage 100US each and they said it was just ok.
