.the food at the  buffet is good and bad.

Hugo in buffet was great also very helpful and went the extra mile to makenour vaction wonderful i am gratful for him   and then there was Miguel who was working an early shift that week instead of he's usually  worked night time at the steak house

Pools and beach were clean and beach chairs were plentiful and comfortable.

Coffee shop was as perfect as it could be 
Restaurants were all fantastic, buffet I thought was not as great.

Francisco was a server in the buffet who took care of us for breakfast and Can't say enough good about him.

Luis was another we often saw at breakfast and lunch.

The buffet will have something for everyone in your family, even picky eaters.

The food was very good, full of choices, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

From the food buffet, cleanliness of rooms, hallways and court yards, to the courtesy of the staff, our stay was amazing.

Great accommodations, all inclusive, & great food whether it is dining in or buffet.

There are just enough restaurants to choose from and have a variety every evening and the buffet itself is worth the whole week.

Buffet at the Italian restaurant was awesome.

but that’s all I could really complain about, breakfast is yummy, especially the home made omelette, we ate in most of the restaurants and they where all yummy, the pools where clean, the staff where friendly and it was a brilliant experience, I would definitely recommend the hotel and would return, thankyou riu

Lots of choices for dining, a la carte as well as buffet.

The staff in particular Alfonso & Hugo at breakfast and Santiago at dinner went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met, making us feel like VIPs throughout our stay.

but we took a bus to the public beach one day (Playa Delfines) and walked on the beach for an hour and jumped the waves. :)

The amenities, like the shampoo and soap, were really awful smelling and totally dried out our skin.

It has flaws such as the shower floor being slanted away from the drain which means water stands inside about 1" deep.

We visited the place at middle of November 2023 , we arrived late after 12h fly , there was one person at reception, waiting 40 min for check in, no one help as with the luggage, so we took it ourselves to the 1st floor ( we stayed in villa) , there was no food, drinks for us , everything was close and the sports bar was empty… The room was covered with mold, the smell was horrible.

Our initial suite/room was not ready at check-in time (3:00pm), quite probably someone was perfuming our room to kill the smoking odor last minute,

During the day it’s overpowering and during the evening can be heard even on 16th floor with the doors closed, in the buffet hall and foyer.

So imagine coming back to your room and the food from the night before and getting slapped with the smell.

That was 5 hours earlier- how had the staff not cleaned up vomit?

Amazing food and service all around, my only complaint would be the amount of cigarette smoking all around the property in indoor common and beach area.

but it’s cleared each morning and we didn’t see any rotting piles of it on the beach and no smell.

We also we had to take a shower with roaches because the water did not go down the drain, so we had roaches to swim around.

On our first night there the jacuzzi in the room wouldn't get hot and the water stunk so we didn't even use it.

He tries to make his way to the bed and is throwing up, dizzy, cross eyed, falling down, and having trouble breathing.

Rooms are damp and needed some TLC, we didn't use the spa bath as the fittings were very old and uninviting.

We Were told You cannot smoke on the secured side.

We had some pop up in the villas on our last couple days, smoking by the pool.

We had breakfast each morning then set out on our adventures for the day.

We had excellent meals at the on-site sushi restaurant, the poolside restaurant for lunch and cocktails, food quality was incredibly fresh and delicious and service was expedient.

Breakfast waiters were consistently friendly.

Amazing service from everyone; Alejandro at the pool, Alfonso and staff at the buffet.

The flagship restaurant had an $85 per person buffet serving ham and turkey.

750° had coffee, lattes, croissants,  donuts, breakfast sandwiches, pizza, encheladas,  ice cream.

Italian restaurant Gustino- Freshly made in house pasta, delicious.

Rooms were great, amenities spectacular, food delicious.

The restaurant choices were delicious as we tried several options and loved them all!

The Hana's staff at breakfast was fantastic and the Champions staff as well.

Every restaurant in the hotel is delicious, the service is outstanding!

Food was delicious, and the room was very comfortable.

Shout out to Juan the Chef and Jose Iozada at Hana; breakfast folks Victor/Genaro and Maribel at Champions.

And the breakfast and buffet was superb very tasty and properly cooked.

Again, the staff were really great and good food at the buffet and at the Japanese restaurant.

If you want to get delicious Mexican food with a great view, highly recommend Sacobe.

•	Christine promoted now, the supervisor the breakfast cook and many others, the helpers as well
•	So nice to see Vittoriano, Fausto, Furlan, Effem, Orlando, now working at Hanna for breakfast.

There was no construction noise nor party noises,

There was some outdoor construction going on at Hana,

We could have stayed somewhere else and returned after the construction was completed.

The only downside was the construction noise.

There was some construction being done in the late morning

The only big downside in June 2021 was the loud construction all day—our room had hammering and pounding on the wall pretty much every day during work hours, so when rain chased us from the pool and beach there wasn’t much relaxing.

Non-stop construction noise, sorghum everywhere, people reserving pool chairs with towels for hours, salesman near towel area, and very pedestrian food for a four star resort.

There is CONSTRUCTION and not much music.

Outside at the pool the entire day is construction noise.

For those of you wondering there is some construction happening at the resort

I'm sure the hotel has changed since Covid and maybe the construction is complete as well as better customer service.

The only construction going on was at the pool, as they are putting canopies over some of the seating area,

Most of it was under construction at the time.

but this construction was not on things damaged by hurricane.

The loud construction noise was starting to wear on me and it was less than 24 hours from the point of which we had checked in.

Located in the Playa Delfines area, the resort is conveniently located near the airport and nearby plenty of good restaurants and things to do.

Breakfast and lunch buffets were top rate.

The girl told us we get picked up at 10:30 and get back around 4-4:30 and get  lunch buffet on the beach and around 35 people on the boat.

I visited every restaurant except for the Hibachi and the Selection side buffet.

The menu varied each night for dinner from rodizio to a la carte to buffet to barbeque buffet.

The stay at coral level was top notch Amazing accommodations and service including a wonderful  buffet with top class chefs, managers and staff.

We were really surprised that the best dining experiences we had were the breakfast and lunch buffets at La Barca.

Yoania, the Coral level restaurant manager, made sure all of our dining experiences were smooth and delicious.

We ate at LaBarca several times, the steakhouse, and the other buffet along with the poolside hamburger stand.

The buffet in the coral level is fantastic!

In the La Barca Buffet my wife and I were made to feel welcomed and comfortable by Yoania.

You have the buffet services available on this side as well at Iberostar selection right across the lawn.

Yoania and Elias at La Barca…can’t go wrong breakfast, lunch or dinner!

Yohania, the Coral level restaurant manager, made sure all of our dining experiences were smooth and delicious.

Mexican restaurant and their pre-fix platter was very good though, as is their breakfast buffet.

We very much enjoyed our dinner with a view and live music with a steak and lobster buffet.

The service at La Barca restaurant buffet was absolutely amazing, making our experience truly memorable.

The location of this property is excellent..a five minute walk to the spectacular Playa Delfines and backed by a beautiful golf course.

Clean, cool and updated rooms, balcony was great we ate breakfast and played games at night overlooking the lagoon.

The resort was beautiful and the food was so yummy!!

The food was very good, we mostly went to the buffet and also went to the Italian and Argentinian restaurant.

The breakfast was also nice and they did change it up on our 3rd day.

Pros: super nice people, good breakfast included, right on a nice beach food overall good.

The waiters at the a la carte restaurants and the buffet are excellent.

2 restaurants and a full buffet are available and we found all to be delicious

Lovely hotel with nice swimming pools and tasty breakfast.

I have one of the weakest stomachs and ate the salad and ceviche almost every day for lunch at the Sunset Grill - the buffet is excellent.

They work at the bar by the beach and the buffet by!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

We’ve been here less than an hour and already having the best time :) Buffet was great, tequila was even better.

The buffet is like any standard buffet you'll find at any other hotel.

All the food was delicious and the hotel itself was beautiful, the pools were really nice and they had a few jacuzzis too!

We made a Spanish dish that was delicious.

There is also a dinner buffet and a buffet for lunch.

The food was good, the main buffet restaurant was good with a variety of different options.

There’s construction on one side of the hotel,

major construction was happening Dec 10-17, 2022 when we were there, right next to us in B601, and that was a vacation destroyer.

Plus the building construction is pretty unsightly.

Now the paving slabs are being replaced and it is impossible to swim in the children's pool and the adjoining adult one, the dust from construction works flies in the face and water.

Still some construction going on for now, so that was our only "cleanliness" negative.

They were remodeling on side of the hotel

Hotel is under construction 24/7 Jack hammering around the pool.

Unfortunately we ended up in a construction place with loud people that couldn’t behave.

The Cons: as for now the hotel is undergoing reconstruction that creates some construction jobsite-like noise during week day time.

We also heard construction noises all through the night our first night there.

but part of it was also under construction.

Construction: Yes there’s construction going on, no it did not bother anyone as you can’t hear the noise and they’re done early, it will be out of your way. Promise.

CONSTRUCTION AT THE RESORT:

There is some construction currently being done.

What you don´t know is that once you arrive you find that they´re doing some construction right at from of the beach: so you´re trying to enjoy Caribbean sun with slap-hammer music and construction noise.

Construction at the establishment was only a slight distraction; to see continued investment makes me want to come back.

There was construction going on all day (except Sunday)

I assume the hotel will be bigger as there is a lot of construction and renovations going on.

You are 1-mile either by the sidewalk on the main road or down the beach to Playa Delfines beach which is a beautiful public beach.

12 pesos and you are 15 mins away from Playa delfines ( which has the CANCUN sign you'd wanna take pictures at), 15 mins from playa tortugo and playa lagosta- again beautiful beaches where someones always offering you to buy drinks or food.

The hotel is located 25 minutes walk to Playa Delfines and El Rey Ruins (worth visiting) and a minute away from the Mayan Museum.

Emporio Cancun

Breakfast Buffet Geronimo was also very sweet and help to our family.

She had only 1 egg, and I said that was fine.

Staff in the buffet are lazy and lie as per convenience.

The food at the buffet was not appetizing and often appeared to be sitting out for an extended period.

Our first day we ate at LaPalapa, the massive buffet.

David, our server at the buffet, helped us the entire week.

The hotel was very busy during our stay for Christmas and new year as expected, yet we still managed to book reservations for the a la carte ones 8 nights out of 14
The Xmas and new year menus were unexpected and delicious, surf and turf New Year’s Eve which was fillet steak with a jumbo prawn and scallop.

The food was delicious at all a la carte restaurants with the French Sans Soucis adults only (pants, collared shirt and shoes for men) restaurant being our favourite.

Food was absolutely appalling in the buffet if you have kids, as mine lived off chicken nuggets from the snack bar for 2weeks.

The closest we saw (and we did every specialty restaurant) was pico de gillo at breakfast for omlettes and a tablespoon of def not fresh guac at the Mexican restaurant with the fajitas.

All the restaurants were great and the buffet staff (Rubicel and Cesar) were the best!

The food options were good and the late night snacks were super yummy.

The buffet is catered for people who enjoy eating mexican food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Food in buffet has almost nothing to eat for vegetarians.

If your  buffet doors close on me one more I swear I will sue!!

I'd hardly call it disgusting like some reviews.

After 3 calls no response including a 4th call to front desk.

Set an alarm on your phone for 7:59am and login right at 8am knowing where you want to eat to book a reservation.

The alacarts were great too you just need to book it every day at 8am it’s not hard if you know how to use a cell phone.

We stayed in the club rooms and the phone and toilet were broken for a duration of the trip.

but they are trying to make us call the website and figure it out ourselves lol we are rushing to go to the airport because they will not let you leave till you pay the extra charge.

but these were literally cots that you would see in a jail cell. 3.

You can save a photo of the QR code on your phone and go to it from the comfort of your bed.

I went out the side doors and tried to deter him by calling someone to come meet me and he still continued to follow me.

Reservations for dinner were difficult, the phone app was not good.

Because either they wouldn’t answer the phone or couldn’t speak English (nor find someone that could).

No areas with air conditioning in hotel except the shop or your room( we had 6month old)
Front desk staff were unhelpful most of time, couldn’t call through from room had to go down.

They never answered their phone in or out of the hotel(reception, concierge, or any other department).

The restaurants you have to reserve in the morning by calling in.

Calling over 20 times and being on hold for 3hrs and still no answer.

Hotel does not answer phone calls from outside hotel or emails sent to concierge.

Con's- almost impossible to make reservations for dinner as you must call at certain times from your room and no one answers for hours.

Instead, you had to call each morning between 8-2 for a reservation for that night.

Loved our balcony that faced la Playa Delfines and the water slides.

Also, Playa delfines is 10 minutes walking and they have the Cancún letters.

Food-
You have to make your reservations at 8 am exactly on the website.

-The reservation system - It's silly, absolutely absurd.

The food here was terrible and the rooms were just OK. You had to make sure you got restaurant reservations right when they open otherwise they would be full.

The new system requires each room to separately make reservations- you can reserve only for the people in your room.

We were not allowed to sit with our extended family at restaurants (if we managed to book together!

It’s impossible to book a restaurant reservation, the buffet food is so basic with average lineups 30+ minutes.

If you want dinner somewhere that's not the awful buffet with a high chance of cross-contamination, you have got to be awake at 8am to book online.

Checking in was awful and they said they didn’t have our reservation and it took over an hour and they still said it was wrong.

Even the reserved restaurants food is not better.

but the reservation system can get frustrating.

I will not book at this hotel again over all service was trash , some of the people was rude , not enough activity it was a mess  I will never come back to this place my kids hated the food , the room was outdated

but this year with the new manager that as stopped so this year we had to book at 8am every day even though we were upgraded which makes me think it's definitely not worth upgrading and many of our friends we meet there over the years and mostly meet every year the same time are thinking twice about upgrading too .

When we booked we requested 2 rooms and for these to be adjoining due to our children being small.

No availability of reservation in the dining restaurants.

We have tried to book restaurants without success.

You have to make a reservation for the specialty restaurants starting at 8 or 9am each day.

It is more difficult to reserve a table at the speciality restaurants for a small group.

I loved the breakfast and dinner at Punta Vista.

Breakfast wait staff Gardenia and Carlos Martinez in Spice were special.

The food was very good, especially the breakfast.

The culinary delights at the resort are truly remarkable, offering a diverse and delicious menu.

We got to walk around and explore the hotel every day, and we were able to try the restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Every day we had breakfast at Punta Vista with David and Ramon, who, after the first day,  remembered our preferences.

The holiday vibe was fun and the Christmas dinner celebration boasted delicious and festive food stations to cater to all tastes.

The restaurants are exceptional;  Spice, the buffet has a great selection of delicious choices for.

Thank you for the incredible food, unbelievably kind customer service, all the work and effort that went into to Christmas show and buffets.
