Cons: On top ofl the HIGH all-inclusive fee, you must shell out more $ for prime cabanas or lounge chairs with umbrellas at pool and on beach.

Rooms have jacuzzi which is great after a tiring day out at the beach.

Had no issues with the beach, and found good seating area with shade.

They also offered nightly entertainment and a great beach with amenities.

The location is also perfect: direct access to the beach where you can walk or run for good few miles south to Playa Delfines, or north almost to the easternmost end of Mexico.

Only thing i highly hated was the playa collection staff bothering with their timeshare.

It may have been amazing when Playa owned it,

I insisted that we should not be charged and reluctantly they 'waived' the additional fee for us.

Which tells me they're probably not getting paid what they deserve.

They don’t provide them anymore and charge $12 USD for a metal straw.

The spa - They were running a promotion to get an 80 minute massage at the price for a 50 minute so I took advantage of it plus they added on Hydrotherapy treatment.

As I explained to him a bunch of people were upset they couldn’t sit in or by the pool unless they paid $80 for a cabana each day (which came with 2 loungers in the pool) As Mr.Rojas explained to me this money grab was put in place by previous management

There is also entertainment every day and night, with a range of shows and classes at no extra cost.

The only downsides of our stay were the terrible sales pitch on check in, super misleading and time wasting. He promised a three minute chat to provide us our welcome package, turned into a 15 minute guilt trip to sign up for a 90 minute sales pitch saying "he wouldn't get paid if we didn't attend."

The premium wine was a tab on the expensive side,

And far too many hidden fees, especially for things which should have been included (ex: a chair by the pool or on the beach, a seat to watch the nightly entertainment , etc. ).

Once those are taken, you either have to pay for a chair or cabana, or find a place to store your stuff.

but not if I could find something close to price.

He told me if I paid him I could sit there.

Little if any consideration for the guests unless you want to pay extra as in the seating around the pool and at the beach.

This is additional cost and is not cheap.

though it's an all inclusive, there are plenty of things they want you to pay an extra charge for so just stick to the normal menus and you'll be fine!

but the only way you could get a poolside chair is if you pay money for a cabana.

Consistent high quality food and beverage choices, friendly professional staff who are eager to assist you and make the most of your stay.

The hibachi dinner is fun and books up quickly.

The food was excellent and I’d recommend trying the Chefs Plate.

We always enjoyed the buffet in Spice, given our food limitations.

The food was very good, especially the breakfast.

The culinary delights at the resort are truly remarkable, offering a diverse and delicious menu.

We rented cabanas on two days, and we also had a romantic dinner by the water.

The shows were great, and with one exception, so was the food.

The location is in walking distance to luxury shopping and several quality restaurants.

Restaurants ( especially the one facing the beach) are good.

The white party, the Cabernet show, karaoke and the dj’s!

High quality and entertaining evening shows.

My personal favorite was the Mexican Night, and the Michael Jackson night!

The hosted a variety of great entertainment from day activities to spectacular shows.

The evening shows were okay - neither too good nor bad.

Thank you for the incredible food, unbelievably kind customer service, all the work and effort that went into to Christmas show and buffets.

We also loved all the entertainment every evening of our stay.

The entertainment team was a top-notch - especially Pepe and Diana who are AWESOME resident fitness instructors.

We were also pleasantly surprised by the evening shows.

The evening shows are superb--I have been to many different resorts and this one had the best shows I have ever seen.

There are shows every night, plus fitness classes, a gym & lots of activities/parties.

While there are upgraded dinner options, spa services and cabanas available, they are not high pressure sales.

Note: I HIGHLY recommend Lucero is you book a massage. Incredible!!!

We also took advantage of their spa twice, which was so relaxing.

The hotel and grounds were kept impeccably clean and the amenities, eg: fitness center and classes and the spa were the icing on the cake.

We went to the spa- very unique & again staff are unbelievable.

I’d like to particularly commend Ivan, David, Isal, Sergio and Humberto in the bar & pool area, Martha in the spa and Ambassador team Ingrid, Ana, Monica, Paulina.

The spa experience was phenomenal and the beach was very well kept and pretty would definitely recommend a stay here.

Special kudos to some staffs who are really great asset to the team, Cesar Banron at Marie Marie, Nohemi at zen Spa, Abimael at the lounge space.

Gladys, Elisa, and Alejandro at the Zen spa made our time so relaxing.

The service and staff members are so amazing, especially Dianna (pilates/water aerobics instructor), Jose (who works in the gym), Jonathan (activities coordinator), Roberto (waiter at Spice), Ernesto (bartender at The Den cocktail bar), Arturo and Valdemar (waiters at Punta Vista), Francisco (Asiana hibachi chef), and Williams and Alejandro (who worked in the spa).

Beautiful beach and plenty of activities for everyone daily.

In addition, an absolutely amazing/beautiful beach right out front.

The beach was great with cool white sand.

The beach bar with the swings was so cute!

The beach is unlike any beach I’ve ever experienced, and the ocean was absolutely beautiful, and swimmable.

During our first two days— we were optimistic and wanted to turn our frown upside down and enjoy the beach and the sun—

The location was right in the middle of the hotel zone and the beach was wonderful!

This time we stayed in a corner room with ocean front view and a view of down the beach.

The taco place at the beach was also delicious.

The best restaurant in my opinion was the taco cafe on the beach!

There were daily activities, I especially loved playing beach volleyball everyday and the fitness classes.

Our son did not want to leave the kids club and we were able to enjoy ourselves at the beach.

The Cancun sign on their beach was also great so we didn't have to go to playa delfines to take a great picture.

My two daughters went for a massage 100US each and they said it was just ok.

With three kids that was usually an issue.

however in the meantime she still admitted a few more kids that walked in after we did.

A lot of children  everywhere, which we didn’t mind

It hit on all points for us and our kids.

You reached out to my kids and got them involved in all of the activities and they had the best vacation.

We chose this location for the water park because of our 5 year old child.

We paid $50 a person for a subpar meal which included kids over 12 and they didn’t even allow us to choose our meals.

I have a toddler with life threatening allergies to dairy, eggs and peanuts and the restaurants all accommodated this and made her food safe.

And an ice cream/candy shop for the kids to feel spoiled with treats!

I counted maybe 5-7 childless couples; everyone else had kids, which makes this place perfect for families.

My college age kids liked the buffet because of the choices.

The Shows were all ok. Lots of kids around.

We even saw a baby sea turtle heading to the ocean and across the street is a crocidile hanging out in the lagoon.

Almost all of them save for a few at night were for drop in kids 4 and over.

In addition, there are 3 restaurants, Italian, Mexican and continental.

The Mexican and Italian restaurants were my favorites.

The girl who was working told me to return next day as they were having tons of activities for the kids and the theme was Mexican so they would be making piñatas.

Or have someone who is well versed in the cuisine to oversee the different restaurants - an American option, Mexican, Italian, etc.

but I have had much better tasting Mexican foods in my hometown in Texas!

We especially loved the steak and seafood restaurant and the Mexican place.

The food was good, my favorite was the Mexican Resturant onsite they had the best Almond Chicken Mole.

but nothing special save for the Mexican restaurant and the grill at lunch buffet.

In addition, there are 4x other restaurants (Mexican, Asian, Italian and grill) and 2-3 pop-up stands (grill, hotdog/burger, tacos), as well as a sweets/dessert shop.

The fish at the Mexican restaurant, the bruschetta at the Italian restaurant and the chilaquiles at both morning buffets were the only thing that was really, really good.

We are coming to experience the Mexican kitchen as we always do in Cabo San Lucas.

At Azul - you will very much enjoy Asian and Mexican mixed on each dish.

*You also won’t be able to find guacamole except at the Mexican restaurant.

Dinner at the Mexican Restaurant was delightful!

He was very informative about Mexican food and culture.

Service was spot on.Special shout out to Luis at Azul and Melchor at the Mexican restaurant for service above and beyond.

We also ate at the Mexican restaurant which was lovely and food was good.

I am half Mexican so for me it was easy to get around me and my wife left the hotel zone and went into the inner city and had a blast.

The food is very good, particularly at the Mexican restaurant and from the beach side taco stand.

I have travelled to Mexico numerous times to Sayulita (still my favourite town), and many times to hotels near Playa.

They were the ones that were working for the "the Playa collection" branch who try to convince the vacationers to sign up with their vacation package.

I have to mention Laura from The Playa Collection was extremely helpful and was always available to answer or suggest any tours.

I stayed in Wyndham Alltra Playa Del Carmen last year and they have a system where you can pre-book a time and Wyndham Alltra Cancun should use the same system to prevent a queue.

Camillo said he was our personal concierge and talked to us and tricked us into a 90 minute meeting the next morning for the playa collection rewards.

- We met with a salesman for the Playa collection on the first day that promised us a black diamond, a free pendant, and other benefits such as a free massage and late checkout.

Compared to another all inclusive I went in Playa del Carmen, this one stands out because apart from the restaurants they also have 24h Grab'n'Go options, when you don't have time while trying to catch your tour bus.

We immediately booked a room at the Excellence Playa Mujeres down the strip and left the next morning.

Playa Collection the new "club" is very deceitful by not ever letting us know.

Veronica at Playa Collection was the best.

It was Talum, Playa del Carmen and Cenote.

Abel From the playa connection was fantastic!

The service is mostly good, I have stayed at the Hilton Playa and at the now Wyndham Playa Del Carmen and those two properties are way better in every aspect.

We are already making plans to try the one in Playa del Carmen.

We chose it as last year we were guests of former "Panama Jack Playa del Carmen", now Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen, and we already had some experiences of the hotel chain.

We also had the pleasure of seeing Gabriel and Geraldo, friends from Playa.

but it’s better than seaweed and rocks on your feet so hands down I’d choose it over the last area we stayed in Mexico which was Playa del Carmen.

We previously stayed at the playa del Carmen location and loved it so much that we tried the Cancun location.

This was our first time at PJ's Cancun, having already stayed at PJ's Playa del Carmen.

We have traveled to many of the playa resorts and really love this one.

They have wonderful food variety and lively ambiance.
