For a moderate to higher priced all inclusive I did not have high expectations of food quality.

Puerto Vallarta has so many fabulous restaurants it's one place we prefer to not be all-inclusive.

We really enjoyed the all inclusive part about the resort, drinks and food any time.

3) Poolside entertainment is some of the best I've seen at an AI.

but that you can get an any all inclusive.

The staff and entertainment offerings were excellent and the food was outstanding for an all inclusive resort.

The 3 we did eat at- Pureza, Italian and Blaze, were some of the best restaurants I've been to at any AI.

My first all-inclusive and I was not disappointed at all.

We've never been to an all inclusive so we didn't know what to expect.

The all inclusive resort food was pretty bland and average at best each day.

Of course the location is a 10/10, can’t beat the private beautiful beach.

Having the felling of a private beach in a cove was nice as well.

The beach was the highlight of the trip - very swimmable and gorgeous at all times of the day and the most amazing sunsets.

The location is great because it’s close to old town and the beach is private.

The beach was beautiful and pretty well maintained for cleanliness.

We’ve stayed at Hyatt Ziva Montego Bay and Punta Cana before.

But the highlight was the Movie and dinner at the beach experience.

We stayed here almost every year pre-Covid and I loved the clean, private beach and laid back vibe of the resort.

The Beach at the hotel is private an amazing, the Hotel has good food and a lot of options, The Staff is very helpull, The Spa is amazing, great people all over the place

Missing some things for accesibility, the ramps are too steep for a wheelchair,  and some places are difficult to get there in a wheelchair, bit everything else was great

The pool is Ok

Great secluded beach surrounded by mountains and jungle.

The view, the beach and the hotel facilities are excellent.

You are truly living beachfront and get access to basically a private beach.

Relaxing, beautiful beach, with big waves on some days.

I would also note that the shore break and tide seems to be really strong on the private beach the hotel sits on.

The beach is beautiful, pools are nice, very secluded from the PV public beach scene.

Food, entertainment, property, beach were all fantastic.

In all the restaurants, on the beach, loud music.

We've been to the Cancun and Playa del Carmen in years past; we now are convinced that this is the most beautiful resort in all of Mexico.

Go to Cancun instead, or the fabulous Grand Hyatt Resort in  Playa del Carmen.

Our housekeeper Carmen did a wonderful job each day keeping out room clean and always left extra water.

Carmen in the souvenir shop was wonderful at helping me improve my Spanish, and helping me convert my pesos!

Carmen kept our room spotless, and always greeted us with a smile and "Hola". At the club tower bar, Efrain and Mauricia (?)

Our housekeeper Carmen kept our room in perfect order.

Carmen and the other hostesses are exceptional.

Thumbs up to Socimo, Carlos, Osvaldo, Bryan, Simon, Samuel, Juan, Carmen, Claudia and everybody else… unfortunately we do not remember all the names of the smiling faces who assisted us during our wonderful vacation.

We normally go to Playa Del Carmen area of MX

but due to the construction we requested a change and we were given a regular room.

Yes, there is construction and a much-needed upgrade,

Ziva had a number of construction projects happening which shows Hyatt is reinvesting to maintain standards.

BUT the construction was absolutely awful!!

but the construction was not bothering us.

From the construction we had a smoke and gas smell coming thru our room and complained to management,

Do not come here especially until the construction is done!! !

Yes, there is some construction happening.

Construction - every review on here about the construction going on is 100% accurate.

Construction- we were not advised of the construction.

There was construction going on, so there was some noise from that all day and night,

Cons:
- So much construction that was not disclosed on website or even mentioned during check-in.

The construction was impactful on the stay.

We were all disappointed to find out upon arrival that the Tower we paid extra for and booked, was under construction.

but there's multiple area under construction except the beach good location to escape the noise.

Family vacation during Thanksgiving and we were disappointed to find construction going on during our stay.They are renovating the rooms in one of the towers which resulted in loud noises during the day.

While we were confined to our rooms with sick family members, we were subjected to the constant noise of jackhammers and other construction sounds.

My wife and I work in the service industry and this was a big financial trip for us and real treat after a long summer serving tables--it would be greatly appreciated if we felt like there was something that could be done to make up for our stay being so disrupted by major unknown construction.

Even after construction is finished, there needs to be some serious improvements to the air conditioning and food.

The only downside during our particular visit is that construction was going on nearly round the clock.

I saw a manta ray right on the edge it was so beautiful.

The first day of our stay the ocean was very clear and we could see small sting rays swimming by us.

Saw a ton of fish and sting rays just a few feet into the gorgeous water.

Take a kayak tour with Daniel if you're up for it, always relaxing and we always see something new, from turtles to dolphins and rays, Daniel is a great guide.

I even saw a manta ray breach and the turtle release.

The best part was the beach… prettiest sunsets ever and had an opportunity to see fish and manta rays.

Blaze restaurant was good for breakfast and lunch, had amazing views, and some type of Ray playing in the water right off the balcony of the restaurant.

We were on the 8th floor and watched the Manta and Sting Rays every morning hunting in the surf.

The water has sting rays surfing near shore - they are very friendly (this is good to know as they come right up to humans).

Wide and expansive, soft sand and crystal clear water with small friendly manta rays swimming around you.

The location is great ~ close to their fun downtown and away from the marina with the cruise ships.

You aren't going to be able to walk to lots of stuff (like if you were staying downtown or in the Marina)

Daniel took us on a kayak tour if the bay, we saw a sting ray as big as a car!

Sunsets were spectacular as was being able to see whales, dolphins and manta rays right from the room or beach.

We usually stay in the Marina area at the Marriott or Westin.

She got “stung” on her foot by a ray and was in excruciating pain.

Watched dolphins, baby rays, and whales from our room and the beach!

One of the main highlights for me was that there is a group of manta rays that swim really close to the shore and will come really close if you go in the water.

Efrain from the bar at Playa always made sure we had a drink.

We've been meeting at Excellence Playa Mujeres so the bar was very high to begin with.

Jesus at Playa bar amazing job.Both Carlos and Carlos at playa bar great job.

We have spent the past 7 years (4 visits) at the Iberostar Playa Mita.

Ramon, Efrain, and Nicholas at the Playa Bar and Sports Bar were especially helpful in answering our questions about Puerto Vallarta.

Efrain and Ramon at the playa bar were amazing!

The people at the BAR PLAYA were excellent.

There are some special bartenders and runners that we both felt made our experience truly exceptional -- Jesus, Fernando and Fermin at the Playa Bar/beach.

We got a swim up room and the service at the playa bar was exceptional.

Jesus, Fermin, and Ramon, who served us at the playa bar next to the main tower, were very hospitable, personable, and made out time at the beach fun and memorable!

Jose (playa bar pool tender) was great as he took care of us everyday with drinks, fish tacos and helping me practice Spanish :) Captain Paulina es mi salvadora - she saved my life when she found and returned all of my lost items after I had too many drinks.

The staff is generally very accommodating, with Jose, the bartender at the Playa Bar, Soledad, a server at the buffet, and Giovanni at the front desk especially efficient and friendly.

The guys at the Playa Bar took great care of us at the beach, service at all the restaurants was amazing.

We had a cabana for part of the week that we were there and Arturo, Juan, and Carlos in the Playa Bar took great care of us!

Firstly, the location is awesome - close to downtown and yet very private.

The sliding doors to our deck with the ocean views was beautiful, I enjoyed staying on the 11th floor it made it more private from the music below.

but the set up with private terrace with a pool is great.

Beach was amazing, plenty of space, not crowed and private to the resort.

The  private beach was great, and the view couldn't be beat.

I loved that this resort felt private, safe, is really quiet, had fun family activities, and overall had a relaxing vibe.

Love the fact they had a private beach though!!!

We'll be returning and I highly reccomend Hyatt Ziva in Puerto Vallarta to anyone wanting to experience the beautiful local culture on virtually a private beach that's just a 10min uber ride from all the adventures town has to offer.

We booked the swim up rooms hoping to be able to enjoy the same patio outside the rooms, leading into the private pools.

Best private beach exclusive to Hyatt Ziva guest was awesome.

Special shout out to the entertainment team Fernanda, Brenda, George, Johana for making our days even more fun!!

They have lots of fun shows and entertainment now in the evenings and elevated dining experiences.

Overall the hotel staff, restaurants, food and entertainment were all great.

But what really stood out was the warm, friendly, and always helpful staff and the great entertainment team.

Efrain, Alejandro, Jorge, the front bell people, all of the wait staff, the pool entertainment everybody!!!

Staff, food, drinks, entertainment and service was top notch!

Entertainment at the pool is fun and loud which was fine.

The entertainment team is great and the pools are also fantastic.

Their entertainment is held at a sports bar or another bar on site.

There always seemed to be activities of some sort throughout the day, and the entertainment was quite good.

It was entertaining while also being quite and relaxing.

We loved the addition of the daytime parties and dancers in the pool, that was really fun.

!…they are really great, especially the dancers In and around the pool!

Excellent service, the entertainment team was fantastic specially Jorge and Johana, there are several restaurants to choose Delia and Soledad were very polite , the bar service is one of the best so many options Miguel is the #1 bar tender.

It was my wife’s birthday and Mexicos independence celebration so they grabbed her onto the stage to dance with the dancers.

The hotel had entertainment throughout the day and evening which added to the experience!

The living room couch had visible “water” stains and the entire space had a moldy smell.

The pervasive smell of new paint was unpleasant, and the fact that these renovations were not disclosed at the time of booking only added to the frustration. I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience."

The room had a musty smell, and the ac wouldn't keep the room cool.

The pervasive smell of nail polish remover due to ongoing construction was unbearable, and despite our complaints, the manager remained unresponsive.

TERRIBLE time to visit because of noise and paint smells.

The were drinking, laughing, playing loud music, smoking, etc.

Door card stopped working twice (long walk to the reception desk to get reprogrammed) food was absolutely disgusting at all restaurants/buffets.

Drinks taste better, the tequila doesn't have that smoke aftertaste (even the non-mescal tequila at Iberostar tastes terrible).

We had one room out of 5 (tried both towers) that smelled terrible.

however if you are a smoker, I would think twice before booking as you have to go way out into the parking lot (still very safe though) to have a smoke, and there are only 2 spots anyways.

The rooms were not real clean and the elevators were disgusting.

They put rubber sheets on the bed which makes it noisy and makes you sweat.

The food at this resort was always cold and stale, horrible quality and we were forced to go out to eat

When the tides  wash in seaweed or other debris, the workers are out first thing in the morning  raking it away, (Didn't see it this year,

My kids didn’t even want to eat the fries because they were disgusting.

The one thing that bothered me the most was a couple in the adult hot tub smoking and no one did anything about it.

Once you arrive, you are greeted with the friendly staff.

Beautiful personalities surround this place and they are all so helpful.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Staff was excellent and they were very attentive.

Fernando was our waiter by the pool and also was fast and efficient.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

BUT we'll be back because of the staff and their attention to every single guest.

The property did feel safe and the staff was very kind.

The staff was very helpful and courteous as always from top to bottom.

But mostly the service was efficient and hospitable.

All the staff were warm and friendly as well as very helpful.

This resort was so fun and amazing, great food, quick service, everything is writhing close proximity, staff is great.

The resort has a swimmable beach (a rare thing in Cabo) with included paddle board and snorkel classes (ask for Gunter, an amazing instructor).

I asked what cocktails they had since there wasn’t a cocktail menu and his response was “sex on the beach, uh sex in the room.

We love the location, swimmable beach, and the accommodations.

We also enjoyed the activities around the hotel like ping pong, beach and pool volleyball, casino night etc!

Its in a bay so the water is aqua blue, clean and calm.

Especially if you want to do activities on the beach or at the pool, these are your people to go to Breathless Cabo .

The majority of restaurants are located in a second building and is on a great beach that is swimmable.

The location is primo being right next to the marina- close to everything & right on Medano beach!

One of the only swimmable beaches in the whole Cabos area Breathless has a private beach.

We visited the nook everyday and did not miss our east coast coffee with the lovely ladies making our oat milk lattes .

Talk to Gunther and Nicolas at the beach for a wicked paddle board tour.

Some highlights were the poki bowl at bites, the bar near the quiet pool area, and the beautiful and calm beach that the hotel has access to.

Great location / beach and friendly staff.

Easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping.

The location is perfect sitting on the beach with direct access to the Cabo Marina's array of restaurants and bars.

Big thanks to all the staff- Nico by the beach, Luis at the bar, Stefanie at the pool and the list goes on.

The beach front access is amazing, the water is swimmable and we were there in November 2023.

The stand outs are the location, the hotel is situated on the marina with access to the beach and two pools to choose from (1 party and 1 quiet).

The Spanish teacher by the pool was also so fun and Carlos our aqua aerobics teacher and Carmen the activities director were so friendly and helpful.

Lovely Carmen provided a mini facial that I never wanted to end.

The staff were very attentive, Yeimi (Front Desk), Carmen (room service), Jonathan (Amstar) all made sure that my every need was taken care of and in a timely manor.

(Shout out Eduardo at Spumante and Carmen at Spoon for the excellent service). Guests!

the best masseuse is Carmen, she uses top of the line products.

Carmen gave me a wonderful hot stone massage and the spa is very nice!

Carmen in the spa did an amazing job on my massage and my husband met with a nice girl in the salon who groomed his beard.

Had a massage at the spa from Carmen and she was so good, I went back the next day.

Hands down Carmen in the Spa gave the best massage I have had in years! !

It is located in the marina, which I would say is the heart of Cabo, there you can get nice souvenirs, book boat tours and so on, everything at walking distance.

Located right on the marina you could watch the hustle and bustle below or get to any excursions easily enough.

Makes it so convenient that we are right off the marina so we have easy access to shops and the beach!

Such a great experience and we loved the marina and all we saw there.
