The Galaxy Bowling and the arcade  inside the resort were a hit with our kids, ages 11 and 13.

But watch your vehicle when I left today 11/19/23 I noticed a lovely dent in my new Gladiators door..

They held fun events in the afternoons for the kids with hoolah hoop competitions and the like.

It's so huge we never even made it to the arcade!

The staff was OK for most part, the check out desk failed to give us any information about activities and amenities.

Fairly priced, lots of food options and great amenities (2 heated pools, lazy river, fire pits, bowling, hot tub, outdoor movie nights, etc.).

The room was quiet despite all the activity going on.

The food was good and the bowling alley was really nice.

The best experiences for friends and family.There is plenty activities and places to visit.The universal city walk is a 12/10 experience.The Halloween horror nights were amazing.

My kids loved the arcade and the bowling alley (need to prebook) and the games available around the pool.

They have a bowling alley with restaurant and I loved the main diner, which is sort of food court/cafeteria style.

There was an arcade upstairs which my tween loved.

Bowling was fun, dining areas had a good variety of options.

Lots of activities and close to the UniversalStudios and CityWalk.

My kids love the pools, bowling and bay liner diner choices and the adults love the 60’s vibes and the people are so kind!

Between the pools, the lazy river, the bowling alley, and the gym, there's lots to keep you busy.

The hotel amenities and activities were overall good.

Visitors can enjoy the bowling alley and water park.

but it happened over multiple days, throughout the hotel, no staff intervened  
The positives:
-The lazy river is fun (just remember to purchase your inflatable before they close in the afternoon quite early)
-Bowling was great
-Restaurant - family-friendly food options - dinner style - quick service
-There is a laundry in the bottom of each tower
Overall, we paid double what we could have paid to stay a stay a short Uber away, for a better hotel .

They have so much right at the hotel you can spend a few days just hanging out by the pool with their transportation to city walk, or the parks the other days.

We even walked to city walk one day on the garden path near Sapphire Falls.

The employees at the store were always helpful and the Bayliner Diner had great food offerings when we didn't hit the City Walk.

Shuttles to/from universal City walk were plentiful and ran quickly.

You can easily walk to all three parks, or utilize the bus or water taxi (at Sapphire Falls) to get to City Walk and the parks.

The hotel also provides a free shuttles to and from city walk and we never had to wait long to get one.

We can walk, take a bus shuttle or a pleasant water taxi (from Sapphire Falls across the street) to City Walk and the parks.

It was so convenient to take the bus across to Universal Studios City Walk and Parks.

but to be fair that’s not at this hotel’s price point and with City Walk and International Drive a few minutes away there is plenty of choice there.

We chose to eat most of our dinners at restaurants located in City Walk.

Walk a couple mins take you direct to volcano Bay..
Few mins on a bus to city walk and universal themeparks ..

We stayed in a suite in continental block with pool view it was AMAZING .

Upon arrival we were given a map and some useful information to get us started on our holiday - including regarding the use of the free bus service to and from Universals City walk (which drops you at the Universal theme parks for those who don't know).

Its faster to go through security there than down at city walk.

Hotel was about 10 minute bus ride to bus terminal at city walk which was convenient and busses ran often.

Bus shows up on time with hardly no wait time to get to city walk and back to the hotel.

Family suite had ample room, like the style, kitchenette with decent fridge and microwave, coffee maker, so did own thing for breakfast.

The resort is themed so beautifully, our room (family suite) was nice and comfortable.

Our family suite was located on the backend of the Thunderbird building.

Always stay in the external courtyard family suites with a pool view.

even though we were going to the Magic Kingdom because of their family suites.

Our family suite was at the back of the Continental and it seemed like a very long way from the lobby and bus stops at the end of each day.

We were in a family suite with outside entry, and were able to park right outside our building.

(we had a family suite in the continental building )

Although the room is sold as a family suite, it is basically a room with a thin partition dividing the bedroom and living area.

We stayed here in July as a family of 4, in a family suite.

We checked in around midnight, with no line, and got an upgrade to a family suite.

They offer a family suite to sleep our family of 5 without breaking the bank!

Was able to get into Islands of Adventure 1 hour before actual park opening to general population, nice sized clean and comfy suite for a family of 5, not noisy, 2 great pools and helpful sweet professional staff and plenty of snacks, foods, and restaurants and bars to purchase from.

Just spent 2 weeks in a Family Suite exterior entry with my husband and 2 children, 11 and 8.

We had an interior family suite which was great for our family of 4 with 2 teenagers.

We had an indoor family suite that included two queen beds and a pull out sofa bed.

From the many choices of dinning to the convince of travel to the parks.

Transportation to the parks is vis Universal busses & takes maybe 7-10 minutes - always a bus waiting every time both going & coming to the parks.

We always plan our vacation for Christmas at Cabana Bay and Universal Parks.

but the real selling point is the easy and free transportation to and from the parks, as well as early park admission.

We love staying here and enjoy the ease of getting to the park with the great bus transportation.

Use the park shuttle so much easier and faster than parking.

We loved the location of the resort, and the convenience of the free shuttle service to the Universal parks, and to CityWalk.

The bus service to Universal parks was also quite useful.

One last detail, I like watching movies after a good day at the parks.

Transportation to the parks is quick and easy; shuttle, bus and walking.

but was all we needed since we were  at parks most of the time.

Can’t beat the price, service, and locations to the parks.

They have the music blaring until 10pm so if you like to get away from the parks for any peace and quiet, you won’t have it here.

We had a multi day pass for all the Universal Parks which meant we could just dip in and out over the vacation.

It's a definite must for those visiting Universal Them Parks.

Even if you drive in and park there the walk to parking from either park is very far, universal is lacking in that area.

Recommend this hotel especially for families close to parks free shuttle service, Friendly staff great location and wonderful experience.

Our room was perfectly serviced daily, pool and public areas were also clean and tidy at all times.

The pool already has rotating soundtracks for music which is quite pleasant -

Quick access to parks by bus and multiple pools!

The hotel was great - clean, nice pools, food was fine,

Everyone has their tube laying around which makes for a fun vibe at the pool (the tube designs are neat too).

On the + side the hotel pools were great, they had a fire pit the kids roasted marshmallows in and hot tubs.

even though it’s very clear that the pool music can be heard clearly in these rooms.

The lazy river and the swimming pools were amazing.

The room, the view, the pools, forget abt it.

Decent Shrimp stir fry for $15 in restaurant, caesar salads, philly cheesesteak etc by pool for less than $10.

My son has autism and absolutely loves the two pools, especially the water slide and the lazy river!

Both pools are amazing and the lazy river is a nice addition.

The pool slide was down the entire time we were there and the lazy river was a bit expensive in my opinion,

Tip to go buy your float rings for the lazy river from somewhere offsite because they were expensive here.

It's just not acceptable for what you pay to stay at this place.

One Pool closed for a few hours and both hot tubs closed for “unscheduled maintenance” (but they have several nice signs already made so seems to be a recurring issue), expensive food/drinks.

The rooms are far away, The staff gives wrong directions and doesn't know where Tesla Chargers are, they don't pick up the assistance phone in the parking, don't guide you on water taxis use from adjacent Universal hotels, old furniture - over priced experience!

need to be aware daily parking charge at hotel add up if staying for two weeks.

The food choices were limited and the same each day and as expected prices over-inflated

theres alot to take in and loads of little things you only find out when staying at this resort that should be more common knowlege,this resort doesnt offer express press .to buy express when you get here (which we obv didnt) can cost you upwards of $1400 for a 7 day stay for 2 guests.our stay cost £627 each ,for the extra £200 each (which would have made it £827 each for staying at one of the resorts which offers express inclueded which would save you $1000+
with all the money we spent on the holiday and in the theme parks ,tickets etc totaling upwards of £4000 i feel  all that ive metioned should be a hell of alot better.

but the stay wasn't flawless as we expected from the higher than regular Orlando hotel price.

Room was quite basic so a disappointment for the price tag.

Overpriced, cheap food, dirty room, broken room chairs, raised prices in arcade (while we were there) and lowered amount of playable credits by more than half.

The amenties and meals are a bit pricey and nothing was complimentary,

We won't boom another stay ever at this hotel as there aver far better and options around for the same ( if not cheaper) price

Management failed to effectively address issues, there idea of resolving issues is handing out cheap vouchers that not even a fraction the time and money you lost.

but for the price there should be a higher standard for the guest rooms.

This resulted in an Unpleasant odor in the hallway.

Restaurants on City Walk were short on employees so lots of tables were left messy and garbage bins overflowing and nasty.

The first huge thing for me was it was filthy.

The dust was disgusting layers of it everywhere.

Also , the smell of weed was lingering throughout the resort .

-It felt like there were smokers  everywhere - didn't like having to walk through groups smoking to get to the pool each day.

After finally getting in the room my daughter notices a large POOP smear on the bathroom wall.

Also the fridge smelled really strongly of something unpleasant.

My advice to Universal is to more strictly enforce the non-smoking policy especially when it comes to illegal substances.

Turned the air up and it smelled like fire.

but at 9am with the do not disturb on the door they proceeded to come in the room I had the latch locked thankfully - Gary the manager and the front desk person Kalab were so rude and insensitive in general which sucks because we used to get over the bad plumbing and smelly rooms but this was too much not worth it for a larger room

but we returned the money and now you have to pay again" to "are you ok with the third floor even though you paid extra for a high floor" not worth the headache or the cigarette smells.

This was left for days with a bin to collect the musty water.

Cons: A lot of guests were smoking around the buildings and some guests are very disrespectful and don't clean after themselves, so the staff can't keep up to clean all the tables.

Guests were allowed to openly smoke pot in outdoor guest areas which we were upset that our children were exposed to.

There is food and laundry left in the hallways which is GROSS!

Kitchen sink was clogged when we arrived. Disgusting.

Friendly welcoming and hospitality were excellent overall.

Also, no need to buy everyone a $20 lanyard like the vacation desk tells you.

Most of the staff smile with their mouths and look dead in the eyes.

Always had a great check in experience with attentive, friendly and patient staff.

but the truth is everything was excellent, it exceeded my expectations, the customer service was very good, the ladies who provided excellent room service.

The hotel refunded our last day and was very accommodating!

The staff is amazing; efficient, kind, knowledgeable and helpful.

All rides were functioning and efficient.

It was the best holiday ok and the food and service was out this world and the staff where good to ok and very helpful ok and the room was good and clean and  food was good and the hotel bus where good as well

the cleaning and catering staff were great.

I ran to the front desk all the way from the continental building on the 6th floor.

They seemed to be always available and the drivers were very friendly and helpful.

Both theme parks' attention to detail with their Christmas decorations is amazing as well as Cabana Bay's Christmas trees and lights.

Cabana Bay is the perfect value Resort close to all UO theme parks.

Clean, friendly, close to theme park, lots to do in hotel.

but we had a great view of the theme parks.

For those that are visiting Universal Theme Parks there are some very nice perks, such as early park entrance, free shuttle every 15 minutes, and anything purchased at the Theme parks can be delivered to your hotel.

When it comes to Orlando's theme parks, we are locals (living 90 minutes away).

There is also a nice greenway that allows you to walk to the theme parks if you're up for a 15 minute walk.

We booked a theme park view room in the tower and really enjoyed being able to look down into the park.

A short walk to the parks is a wonderful was to start your theme park days.

Excellent time at Cabana Bay, Many amenities, very clean, free transportation to Universal Theme park, clean and comfortable rooms and love the classic 50s theme!

Top notch hotel with lots of amenities and easy travel to CityWalk and the theme parks.

This hotel has everything you may need when visiting the theme parks of Orlando.

This was our fist time staying in the theme park area and the staff and hotel was perfect!

Overall a great experience and incredibly accessible to  the theme parks.

The theme park shuttles were very convenient and never a hassle.

Good bus service to universal theme parks .

There’s plenty to do at the resort you don’t even have to go to any theme parks.

We enjoy the food court even better than most of the theme park restaurants- and note the pool bar restaurants are a nice find as well.

Hotel Ventura next door has a excellent roof bar, this is a must

The hotel has a fitness room, pool and a video game room.

In addition, your hotel once provided family entertainment on weekends at the pool which was a delight for kids.

Nice restaurants and entertainment on site.

The pool area is nice as was the outdoor area with the ping pong tables gave us a great area to sit outside during a thunderstorm while staying dry.

Parking available, many activities and airport within 20mins from the resort.

The pool was perfection after a long, hot day in the parks with friendly guests bouncing beach balls around.

Kids will love the large pool area with a fun slide, the arcade room and other fun games out in the pool area.

Plenty of activities for family just at the hotel.

They were brilliant, so on the ball with any potential emergencies.

I would attend another training conference at this venue and highly recommend it.

A HUGE pool, hot tub, water slide, video game arcade, ping pong tables, top-of-the line workout gym.

The resort offers everything you need in terms of dining, park ticket purchase, souvenirs and leisure (swimming pool, game room, exercise facility).

There is music (but just at the right level) as well as activities for the kids

Pool slide 🛝, beach balls and occasional ducks 🦆 made a fun experience.

An arcade, ping pong tables, pool tables, water slide, huge pool with cabanas and sandy areas for laying out.

but the venue and service made it feel like a stress free holiday!

It was somewhat ironic that now we would be staying on property, we’d be travelling out daily for activities, fun and food - after many years of having to travel in -

Love that the water boats stay running so late, really helps after a tired day of walking at the park.

The boat captains transporting people to the parks were also personable and professional.

We were at the boat about 10 minutes to 7am and were able to get in the first boat.

Facilities wise the boat shuttle service to City Walk was efficient,

Boats to park make using an ECV wonderful.

There is a boat ride to universal city walk which takes 5 minutes, thus being able to quickly access the Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios theme parks.

The restaurants are all good if a little pricy and the boat taxi to Universal was excellent.

I would definitely stay at a hotel with access to the boat.

Overall the hotel is mainly trading on the location which is a short and pleasant boat ride to universal studios.

The boat to the parks is lovely and a great way to go to and from the parks.

Amazing location being able to get the water boats straight from outside to universal parks.

The boats were seamless and such a pleasant way to traverse the parks.

One of the lovely water taxi trips had a fantastic boat ride with everyone singing YMCA on the boat which will forever be a fond memory for my sister and brother in law who got to enjoy that ride.

It is so easy to get to citywalk and parks, we choose to walk on a morning as we always have, especially when going to IOA as it takes 10 minutes from the boat dock and then catch the boat back after the parks.

The boat to City Walk allowed us to bypass the parking and security mess for regular guests and gave us a separate entrance to the event, which was very useful.

Pros:

- new Dutch trading company service quick service till 11pm
- Alamo car hire desk in lobby

- few more shelves and towel rails needed in bath area
- room can feel cramped with a teen and 2 adults as there is no balcony -

If you're a family going to the Universal theme parks, Loews Sapphire Falls is pretty beautiful, clean, modern, and ideal, with lovely, modern rooms, baths, and grounds, including boats directly to the theme park.

but of all the hotels available with boat access to the parks, this was the lowest- end one.

The boat and/or walk to City Walk lovely.

Access to city walk was great if you like shopping and some food.

The water taxi's were ALWAYS there to take us back and forth to City Walk and Universal Parks.

The boat to Universal City Walk was very convenient.

One additional benefit of this resort is that you get the water taxi to Universal City Walk which starts early and runs late.

Quiet, clean, helpful and easy access to the parks and City Walk.

The water taxi to and from Universal's City walk was wonderful and unexpected!

The free water taxi to universal and city walks is fantastic and the boat staff and security are fun too.

They have the convenience of the dedicated walking path, shuttle, and water taxis to city walk.

Beautiful, moderate level resort with a price point beating anything the D offers. The pool area is well-themed, the lobby, restaurants, and lounges are inviting; and the water-taxi to City Walk makes for a very convenient and charming "commute."

The theme parks, city walk and volcano bay are a 10 minute walk away, or you can get the water taxi to city walk and the theme parks.
