The property is run by a family, nice and kind, and it has a very large courtyard for various leisure activities: basketball, table tenis, football etc.

The owners can give you helpful advice in organizing a tour - most guests seem to have their own cars which makes the most sense since a guide really is not needed as the roads are well signed and are in fine condition.

but for internet addicts, workoholics and such, it might pose a problem.

WiFi is somewhat tricky as the signal is weak requiring sitting in the dining room or searching for the free public network on your balcony. .

The internet connection too was quite poor, and our Mastercard and Visa which had been accepted at the three previous hotels, was unable to connect, and we had to pay by cash.

With curtains very thin the room is then flooded by sunlight at 6 am - NO way to sleep .

Very friendly reception, excellent food made with delicious products from the region.

Rarau and Giumalau heights are a must - there's a lot of friendly climbing areas to reach them.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff is friendly and helpful, therefore we recommend Casa Poveste and we hope to revisit in the summer time.

but absolutely everything the neighbours are doing or saying.

What bothered me most was the fact that the bed was shaking every time someone was walking into the next room (so I woke up at 7:00 AM when the neighbors started walking).

Our friends had to look for another place in the neighborhood and we spent the night separately.

Also, the wi-fi  did not work / was very poor - and when I asked the host to fix it they asked me instead why it wasn t working.

We stayed four nights and the breakfast was poor, the same every morning(a few slices of meat,cheese,tomatoes,cucumbers,and pancakes)The dinner was also poor and overpriced 15 euro/person fixed.

The dinner was, also, poor and very expensive for Romania : 15 euro for one person, fixed menu.

The waitering services were poor - every time we would ask for something extra, such as mint tea, extra sauce or to change bed sheets the waitress's answer was most of the time rude and not helpful.

The only point which can be rated as a "minus" is the road to the House - nearly 1 Km of a road in a poor condition.

This room was suitable for our needs, the tiny bathroom was a delight for the little one, even if for me it was "challenging'' and painful for my back.

The room was small, modestly furnished (antique furniture items) and quite noisy (you could hear noise from the dining room and from the other rooms), bathroom very small.

We found the owner at the reception and he was very offended about our request for a clean room.

The decorations are exceptional and the owners gladly share the story of each object.

For us, it was exactly what we were hoping to experience: the proverbial welcoming nature of the locals, not just yet another hotel experience.

in the bathroom is an horrible smell and lots of chalk in the shower and the water smells horrible.

15 Euro you get starter, soup, main course, desert and drinks (water, wine and traditional Romanian hard liquor).

There is no warm water during the day and that makes it difficult to wash a 1 year old.

They could only be reached by going up one floor in the new building and crossing an external walkway that led back to that deserted building.

the only thing that I did not really like was that our room was in a different building then the main building (with the reception and spa area) - so you have to walk quite a bit to get to the pool and back.

Rubbish had been left behind the building after a wedding on the previous night and the dog spent the night pacing to the rubbish bin and incessantly barking and howling!

But the staff stayed friendly and helpful, and were quick to repare the defects.

Bucovina is a blessed location, the hotel is very nice, the staff very friendly and special the owner very open minded person, looking continuously to all the details and to make all the best for the tourists.

I warmly recommend the massage of the lady there, true relaxation.

On the second morning she was assisted by two lads - or rather, she carried on doing almost everything while they stood about grinning and looking vacuous.

Mainly what I want to add here is the gentleness and kindness of the lady from the reception who is the owner's doughter.

but really nothing amazing, and the prices are higher than in Bucharest (compared to places that are much better than this).

Nothing came on time and the orders were mixed up.

Same thing we ordered somewhere else in Câmpulung Moldovenesc, we paid only 11 lei and we had chili + sour cream + garlic sauce included in that price!

but I thought they might have had a lot of orders and that it would be worth our time.

Also on our balcony we could admire a special intervention on the drainpie: it was broken, so they repaired the damage tying it with a plastic bag to keep the water dripping through and not beyond the pipe!

The staff was not responsive and i had to wait about 30 minutes to get my invoice,i think the only problem was that i santed to pay by card and they wanted cash.

Fro the price per night that they charge it should have been readily available.

Beautifully situated in the heart of the forest, with magnificent views from all the rooms to the Pietrele Doamnei - The Lady's Rocks- this hotel could be a hidden gem, yet it isn't.

The view should also be mentioned, the cottage being at the foot of the Lady's Stones.

When we provided feedback the guy that owns the place contradicted and threatened us.

I was in 2012 up on the top of Lady's Rocks, and it was so thrilling all the landscape from that altitude.

but the people serving there are not happy to be there and I felt like they were not happy to see me at all.

The owners seem to do everything to make their place as cosy and comfortable as possible,

The personal is very friendly and ready to help.

For 4 people, 2 adults and 2 children, I paid 27 euro a relatively low price compared to the places to eat in the area.

The pool is quite ok, you have to pay for it.

but we got far too little compared to what was described as included, to expectations, to the price and to how we were used in Bucovina

- Package sound something like, for example: 29.12>> receiving guests with fire burning in the fireplace, cake, mulled wine and brandy boiled.
