Here is a tip: if you happened to be in the area of the hotel in the mornings go downstairs to the breakfast room and have a free breakfast.

Service is slow, and they don't have a grasp on what a business traveler needs (speed, convenience, taxis waiting on the door, iron in the room, a watch by the desk).

No iron and iron board in the room, after requesting a couple of times was delivered an iron which was like 10 years old and was told I cannot keep it for more than 1 hour.

I had service people coming to my room to fix stuff, and they did not understand a word I said, both Spanish or English
- I arrived 10pm: No conergie, no iron available, no pressing /ironing service available so I had to wear my crunched shirt in my 1st day of event
- I asked for power converter (the one they use in Brazil is a 12v 3-teeth). Not available, "all are occupied"
- Newspaper: No, at front desk there is only one (just like a far-away country side hotel, ah?)

The only disappointment I experienced was asking for an iron one night and no one every brought me one.

My room didn't come with an Iron and Ironing Board, so I had to request one - which didn't come in time to use it my first day.

Bring your own iron, as they won't give you one on arrival.

The gym was large and well equipped and the pool was great.

The hotel seems on the surface to be a quiet well appointed hotel the peace was destroyed at the weekend by a large group of young people who took over the pool area with loud music excess drinking and noise.

A well located hotel in Campinas with rooms of good standard and good facilities - 3 restaurants and 2 pools, gym, spa etc..

It's directly across from a park ideal for jogging, has a outdoor pool with enough length for swimming and walking distance to Carrefour grocery store, restaurants and we even walked to the little zoo over a mile away.

There is a long swimming pool and a pretty well equipped gym.

This gym is one of the best equipped hotel gyms I've seen; there's even a small lap pool if you like swimming.

There is a tray full of snacks which are more suitable for kids and there is a fee for each snack.

You will find less expensive hotels and you will find ones with bigger and more luxurious rooms in Campinas.

My wife used the spa and while it was expensive it was also top quality .

But the internet connection was really poor, even if you paid for it.

Too expensive, the room felt very cheap (in terms of cleanliness, quality of linens and towels, etc).

The downside to this place is the room service, my experience was beyond awful I ordered food twice and the first time it came with no flavor and very price the second time I order just a plain simple burger and it took them 3 hours plus I got it uncooked, raw meat, and no good at all; if they could improve that, then it would be better than average, specially for the price

Despite all this, I still believe the hotel to be overpriced, so don't plan on staying too long here.

Next time, I'll try the ibis or the meecure, since they are less expensive and in the end they might be just as decent as Victoria.

Brazil is an expensive country and over the years I have had my fair share of dodgy and unpleasant hotels throughout Brazil and this was definite not either of those.

In Brazil standards are not inline with the price you pay like in Europe.

Rooms ars not nice, service is bad, outrages charges (slow internet is free, reasonable o e will cost you 35 real a day), breakfast hall looks like a hostel public space (I have nothing against hostels).

It isn't as cheap as it used to be anymore and suddenly and without prior notice Accor has canceled the free breakfast deal with several partners, which adds up to the bill at least 20% more compared to the listing price.

It's is pretty close to the Cambuiu neighborhood where a lot of restaurants are located.

Flat out, the savings on this hotel's rate is the location.

This management needs to pay more attention to the team.

See no reason to be member of the Club Accor : I made my reservation in June , paid in advance and friends  who have joined us for this week end had a better rate with breakfast included.I don't believe this is a fair way to compensate fidelity to the chain.

At the moment of booking I have to paid the 3 rooms  and when we made the check in , the front desk was not able to let my workmate to pay her own room, so I have to face the cost of the 3 rooms.

but if you are not, it´s so expensive to stay when you already know others hotels that are better.

It is kind of expensive for what you pay and the breakfast is kind of bland.

but it was supposed to be included in our promotional deal, yet we were charged $30 each for each day we had breakfast.

Rates seem rather random when booked trough our agents team members boking before and after all got very different rates for same period and rooms.

Mercure - what would it cost you to close the bag with a sticker that tells your clients the bag and the pillow have not been used and give us some peace of mind?

Finally Mecure hotels in Brazil need to really think about minibar prices which bear no relation to actual costs.

I suspect that breakfast is not included in the price of room,

I've paid a big money to poor quality of the hotel (it's old and there is no too much maintenance) and low level service (front desk - they don't know how to treat the customers).

2) the hotel had a problem with the water and they moved to other hotel with less category of the mercure, so they forced me to paid in advance for a service that they were not able to supply for the water problem at the hotel.

The 14th floor looked like the set of the tv show American Horror Story: Hotel, that carpet has never met a vacuum cleaner.Our room lacked basic bathroom items (soap and towels), the lighting was poor and the water only came in one temperature: insanely hot.

A  disturbing noise at the upper flow all the night, no welcome drink or favourite gues or free water ft  in the room, poor standard for a Mercure.

To me, there are key items missing in the rooms: washcloths/facecloths, sink stopper/plug (needed to plug the sink when rinsing contact lens), bottled water, tea kettle (to heat water for coffee/tea)

Elevator key card reader quirky and picky – sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t.

The sink faucet will send water directly into your clothing if you are not careful.

Landing in Sao Paulo at 6 AM, after 2 hours driving, I got a room, which was not cooled downed as i arrived

But the down side is that checkout was a little slow due to number of people checking out.

Twice on the day I checked in the staff opened my door while I was sleeping because I didn't answer the initial knock.

but they charge you for 1/2 day when it was only 3 hours earlier than what expected checkin.

Contrary to another reviewer, the breakfast was superb!

The breakfast is nothing special and could easily be compared to a low cost hotel.
