Room quite dusty around room / behind doors, beds not made to same standard

As this was the case the glass doors at the entrance to the pool grounds were open and there was some patio furniture right on the other side of the glass doors so we chose to sit there for a few minutes.

Just a suggestion, could there be 1 member of staff who hangs around at 9am after the doors are opened and anyone they see putting towels on sunbeds and immediately going for breakfast tell them that its not allowed and if they dont listen put their towel in a basket.

There were also not enough sunbeds and parasols for everyone, which meant it was complete chaos when the doors eventually opened.

There are nowhere near enough sun loungers and even less parasols, it was like a Black Friday sale when the doors  to the pool were opened.

There aren’t enough beds to guest ratio so people line up in reception from around 8am and then the doors open at 9am.

One tip I’d give is to be prepared for sunbed stampede- the doors open at 9 and there is a mad rush for sunbeds!!

People queue up in the morning for the sunbeds as the doors are locked and the pool gets very busy and loud during the day.

but not if want play water polo there not allowed also massive q for sun beds in morning door open at 9 people q since 8.30 another thing evening entertainment for kids start at 9.30 even do all kids outside running up down since after dinner 8.30 that goes on time 10 them adults shows come on till well after 11 noise racket if bedroom which my one was so close to stage you could not sleep very difficult for families with young baby's so think need up there game with activities for kids .

The food is unreal, I got a sneak peak behind scenes of kitchen whilst door was ajar the kitchen looks like a laboratory,  so clean.

When another room closed their door, my headboard would shake.

The noise (and the real let down of the hotel) from 7:00/7:30AM was absolutely unbelievable though, slamming doors continued all day, running and screaming kids in the corridors, banging of chairs/wardrobes and noise through the walls was insane.

You can hear every door slam, every person walking down the corridors, midnight and kids are running up and down the halls, quite a noisy hotel in general, slept with ear plugs in.

These can fit maybe 3-4 people, 5 if you're lucky (that's without suitcases) and take forever, partly because there's no door close

Then the other noise began, people banging doors and shouting on the corridors.

I was shocked at how they could just come through the door without knocking and it felt as

I’d advise leaving the “do not disturb” on the door, as room service arrived at 08:45, so no chance of a lie in!!

but expected has people wanted spaces by pool maybe let few people out at time has I found being at front of line did you no justice has once doors open people run from the back past you, which was annoying, but this wouldn’t stop me from returning.

As for trying to get a sunbed the situation is beyond belief and needs some urgent attention   with people queing up from 8.00 am ( doors open at 9.00 pm ) , we would normally go down  about 8.50 and were always at the back of a long queue usually going out of the hotel entrance onto the steps.

The morning race for the loungers and umbrellas is a pain, basically you end up queuing at around 8:15 (any later and good luck getting anything) and then when the door opens it is an elbows out race to grab what you can.

Room cleaned every day, housekeeping staff were so lovely and friendly.

Staff helpful and friendly would have a free kettle had to pay 4 euros per day to have one in room went out and bought own milk and teabags, etc.

A cleaner lady approached us and we moved as to let her clean and exchanged a friendly smile.

We were greated with a smile, helped with our luggage, very friendly All Reception staff just couldnt do enough for us especially Esmerelda & Marina.

We found all staff to be friendly and helpful.

From the moment we arrived to the last goodbye this hotel was 100%.. Staff happy, friendly nothing was any bother.. food was catered for all tastes even those that forget they are on holiday in a foreign country lol.. 😉 Only issue and to be honest it's not really an issue is its a long way t walk if ya love the beach.. the going there is OK

Like everyone else has written it’s a nice hotel and we had a good time and we found all staff to be very friendly and good at their jobs.

This hotel is amazing you are close to PortAventura and town centre staff are friendly there’s only one bad thing about this hotel is that people are queuing up for a sunbed in the morning as pool doesn’t open until 9 as I do think it’s a disgrace I would ask everyone to go away and have breakfast then go out for a bed as theres sunbeds for everyone to get

It's really impressive as you enter the hotel and all the staff we encountered were really friendly.

The Reception staff, especially Irene, were very friendly and helpful.

The guide was lovely & friendly and it was run very smoothly.

Entertainment was fab, we are family of 2+2 (8 and 14) and they loved it, the girl who does kids entertainment is outstanding - great energy!

She is amazing with everyone especially the Elderly and children.

My wife and I booked a 4 night break for a last munite get away with our 2 grown up sons.

Charlie was brilliant and my son followed him everywhere.

Family rooms are spacious with proper single beds for the children (not sofa or camp beds) and the mattresses/pillows are comfortable.

I stayed for a week half board with my daughter.

The restaurant has a good variety of decent food even for kids.

The other pool was a children's pool in the same area and so the same comments apply.

We even enjoyed the mini disco and baby shark songs!

but our son did take part in the water polo and volleyball a couple of times and really enjoyed it.

My daughter and her friends stayed in your hotel.

Approx £35 return for 2 adults and 2 kids.

They took the time to get to know our children and would come looking for our eldest to join in with the activities.

Our children loved the pick and mix each evening and I was able to take apples out for snacks during the day.

We went as a large group 6 Adults 2 Children (9 & 2).

The hotel is wicked we now will return with the kids in August.

The other toaster is terrible, 4 times for the bread to toast is too long and leads to queues.

the toasters need disposing of, you have to put your toast in 4 times to create toast or its still just bread, as you can imagine this creates a big queue.

In the morning queuing for coffee machine can be a pain due to lengthy queues depending on the time and small cups don't help we ended up having to get 2 at a time.

We usually ate around 8.00pm and did not have  to queue for long for the evening dinner and food was replenished frequently.

but not enough parasols, pool doesn't open till 9am people start queueing form 7/7 30am then it's was a mad dash for parasols with the odd few appearing at almost 9 to make the dash was quite annoying, in 30 years this was my first experience of the queueing business i will doing better research in future.

but when others in the queue confirmed that I did, he insisted I paid for it again!

Sunbed situation not too bad, we never queued, was busy

You have to queue in reception for sun-loungers before the pool opens at 9am.

The pool 1st thing in the morning did have a Queue for getting Sunbeds and I found this quite amusing while having breakfast, we never went to the pool in the mornings opting to do other activities

but I will be back to this hotel 
For anyone that is going to this hotel if u have anyone with disabilities and u are going to PortAventura please bring doctor letters and ID to the park so u can get the disability fast pass to all the rides if u don’t have this you will be refused it when u go up to queuing in the line at the disability desk just a bit of extra advice

There was a queue for sun loungers before the pool opened at 9am and it was the usual story of people reserving sun loungers and not using them for some time after.

Inside seating area not very comfortable at all and lack of staff on the bar at night made queues very long waiting for a drink.

Unless you are queueing for at least an hour before the pool opens at 9am you will not be guaranteed a parasol.

People queueing for dessert and once you get there things had run out - not what you want on holiday!

The only thing I would fault is that there are not enough sun parasols, which led to huge ques from 8 am and a dash to get an umbrella

Entertainment staff were brilliant and very friendly!

We had read some bad reviews about the food and large queues in the restaurant,

Unless you don’t get a fast pass, then you will queue all day to go on two rides.

but at busy times it was a bit hectic and queues to get into restaurant.

The management will just say that there is no need to queue,

Food options were good, typical buffet style.

Breakfast had a large range of hot/cold food.

Excellent venue, great location, food was good at times.

Few newer restaurant staff on 2nd yr who weren’t as customer focussed

Whilst on holiday not everyone has a well planned itinerary to know where they will be the following day or days to swap their meals!

Food was great and a fantastic variety all the time.

Overall we found the food to be good, there is some variety each day

Lots of positives about this hotel, location cleanliness and staff, the food was okay

The restaurant staff were also very helpful.

Each evening there was a choice of chicken, fish, pasta, meat, soup, salad, vegetables, sea food and chips so everyone taste was accommodated for.

We were half board and food was very good.

There was a good choice for the breakfast and evening meals, there was always pizza, chips and plain pasta on the evening, im the fussy eater in the family and always found plenty of options.

Room very clean and had an extra bed in it which was an added bonus.

Pool area, restaurants, lobby were always spotless and rooms cleaned daily.

Shout out to the cleaning staff our rooms were always clean and tidy and towels changed when needed.

We had two rooms and they were both clean, spacious and cool.

The room is clean with comfortable beds, shower over bath, and all the amenities that I needed.

We had an amazing stay, the rooms were very clean and comfortable beds, we were very pleased with the restaurant and food, lots of options to eat.

And the room was spotless and modern and the breakfast catered for everything we needed.

Had a lovely 8 days in this hotel rooms spotless  food choice was excellent   entertainment  staff were fab  only downside was  getting a sunbed had to be up at 8 to get one  thank you for a lovely holiday

The staff are all lovely and make you feel extremely welcome, the housekeeping and cleanliness of the room and hotel throughout is of a very high standard.

We had 11 nights at the Salauris Palce and many thanks to H10 for helping us rebook after our cancelled flight with no charges.First impression was how nice the reception and pool areas etc looked and the staff so friendly.We then went to our room on the second floor the room itself was very clean the bathroom was pretty large

The room  was very clean and had a lovely view looking over to Port Aventura.

The room was very clean, and the beds were incredibly comfy!

Once in the room it was spotless, and very nice.

Rooms are clean and pretty well equipped (lacking a kettle which might have been useful).

This hotel is kept spotless and has room cleaning daily.

The highlight of my holiday was all down to an amazing member of the Animation or entertainment team Elena.

but absolutely no-one went above and beyond, if you didnt greet them then they wouldnt smile or speak and as for the so called entertainment staff, who are they!!

even though we were directly above the outside stage.

The animation team were fantastic, the kids were always super entertained.

The professional entertainment were mostly musicians.

but did love the mini disco every evening.

There seemed to be a lot going on with the animation staff and the evening entertainment,

The hotel has evening entertainment and a kids club with a medium size games rooms.

We didn't really watch any of the evening entertainment.

The entertainment was fantastic- much better than at most places I’ve been to- including 5* places.

We went for theme park view this year due to last years noise from entertainment.

The entertainment was brilliant with everything from Michael Jackson tribute, Queen tribute, acrobats and various dance acts.

On the plus side, it’s entertaining to watch

We didn’t get to see much of the evening entertainment either apart from briefly seeing the Freddie Mercury tribute which did look really good

The Freddie Mercury tribute band were fantastic.

We watched the evening entertainment a couple of evenings.

but the main standout was Elena from the animation team who's energy was electric the whole trip and made our childrens time so magical so we'll be forever grateful never in my 20 years of going to family resorts have I come across someone like her!

The reception is very bright modern, reception staff a pleasure to deal with.

Good location, walking distance to Theme park,  10 minute walk to beach.

The hotel also had taxis ready for us within minutes of  our requests so it’s very easy to travel to the attractions (water park and theme parks close by).

The Portventura Theme parks  is 10 mins walking distance.

Clean with good food and a brilliant location for the theme parks.

The hotel was big, plenty to do for all, close to shops, theme park was only a walk away.

This hotel is in a great location, a 10 minute walk from the beach and not too far from the theme park.

We did all the parks and would recommend them all, we spent 13 hours in the main Portaventura theme park, it was brilliant.

10-15 walk to theme park and 10 minute walk to beach/restaurants/bars.

however after a chat with the friendly reception team we were moved to a room on the 5th floor overlooking the theme park which was great.

The location is great for the theme parks.

Great hotel in a great location,  10 minutes to theme park & 10 minutes to beach.

Also, go to a shop in Salou that sells the tickets for a reasonable price, don’t buy them at the theme park.

The hotel is a short walk to the theme parks which are worth the visit and a 10 minute walk to the beach and promanade.

hotel location is perfect if you plan on spending time at the theme park and not to far from the shops and beach.

Good location a short walk to resort centre, beach and plentiful bars and restaurants, railway station and theme park.

When we got into our room it was completely spotless not a single flaw anywhere I went with my mum and myself and we loved it the view from our room was amazing and we could see the pool and it was always cleaned every morning.

The exception to this was the guys at the pool bar who couldn’t do enough for you.

Indoor pool isn’t heated and you have to buy swimming caps to be allowed in the pool only opens at 4pm what isn’t good this time of year.

5, Pool large enough with a smaller one for little ones.

Room & public area always cleaned including pool area.

Pool was freezing, the sea was actually warmer!

The inside pool is perfect for our October holiday.

There were always plenty of sunbeds available around the pool

Day time there is mini games at the pool for kids and adults, really good fun.

Pool area is fab and got a great range of cocktails to pick from to keep you hydrated.

The pool was really nice, nice people, nice layout, it's just the finer details that could be improved

Hotel is lovely, rooms are nice and the pool bar staff are very accommodating with great food, kids are having a blast in the pool and good entertainment at night.

We’ve just returned from a couples break to this hotel in all honesty I just picked the cheapest as we aren’t fussy we just use the hotel as a base, we were pleasantly surprised 
The transfer was about 1:30 from Barcelona airport ( 20 mins from Rheus airport )
Hotel was clean reception staff were chirpy and friendly very quick check in and even at 23:50pm at night we were encouraged to visit the Irish bar on site 
Rooms tidy enough very clean fridge in them excellent shower , balcony with 2 chairs we had a pool view 
Pool was lovely and big

but can be shortened by using the ‘back gate’ by the pool.

Music throughout the day is great and we are on second floor which has pool view and can even watch the entertainment from balcony if you wish.

The pool area was well organised and not too overcrowded.

We spent most of our holiday in the pool with perfect temperature and the pool party!

Pool area was clean and tidy, plenty sun beds and umbrellas.

The pool area had plenty of beds and there was entertainment provided throughout the day.

Pool area good,well supervised with lifeguard on duty whilst open(9:00 till 8:30ish.

Highlight of our holiday here was the pool area.

The pool area is huge with lots of sunbeds available and a bar as well.

The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding…..the room was cleaned and beds made every day and we were lucky to have a balcony which overlooked the pool area.

The pool area is lovely and the staff at the bar pool were so nice.

The location of this hotel is good, not too far from beach and porta ventura, the bar staff in the pool area were lovely,  always smiling and food in pool bar not too bad.

Pool area is ok, still clean and tidy with plenty of sun-beds and seating areas around the pool bar.

Storage options a bit limited and hairdryer poor.

Nighttime entertainment was poor same 4 songs at the mini disco every night then at 10.00 main entertainment started which was rubbish and boring.

We booked this break as a last minute deal and after reading the reviews we were expecting the food to be pretty poor.

Entertainment starts at 10pm and was poor, so didn't bother.

- Animation team: very poor and Spanish oriented.

The entertainment is generally poor with a mini disco at 9pm, which seems a bit late for the kids.

sol just back from a week at sol costa Daurada i found very lould muisic playing day and  night restaurant like mcDonalds very poor decor  breakfast time you have to go to 6 points before sitting down for breakfast no hot pates for hot food water arip off at 2.30 a bottle 45c in lidi no tables on balcony  it is also not a couples hotel its over run with small children.

As said we have stayed in nine different hotels in Salou, some have been poor and some good,

but the rooms were not big enough for a family, paired with bad attitudes from restaurant staff and poor food it pretty much dampens your experience.
