The reception team on arrival were very friendly and welcoming.

You could also try and improve your Spanish speaking with the bar staff who are so friendly and encouraging.

From entering the hotel with the lovely smell of the air purifier, very attentive reception staff, very friendly and professional.

What an amazing hotel from the moment we stepped in to the reception we were given such a warm welcome by the lovely Maria so friendly attentive and professional, she explained everything to us that we needed to know to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable.

It exceeded all expectations and, in my opinion, is an exemplar as to how a hotel should be operated:
A first class, welcoming and responsive front of house team;
A great front line location for access to the beach, restaurants and bars;
Immaculately maintained communal areas;
Excellent, varied and plentiful breakfasts;
Spacious, quiet, well stocked bedrooms and bathrooms which are also well maintained;
A recently refurbished beach club with a lovely pool and bar facilities;
Above all, outstanding, well trained, motivated and friendly team members.

Hotel was clean, rooms spacious, staff friendly, food fabulous and the 360 bar has an amazing outlook.

Staff all super friendly and work very hard to keep the Hotel spotless and running efficiently.

Quite sad, as many of the guests made an effort to dress more formally.

Be warned, though, that guests will be queuing for those loungers before 9:30 and if you’re not quick, you won’t get one, at least not one with some shade.

There is parking below the hotel for £14 a day reduced for guests if you are hiring a car.

Unfortunately you cannot help selfish and ignorant guests.

Those guests who didn't have a sea view or were in the shade would have been at a big disadvantage.

I did find a lot of the guests quite rude and a lot of them squabbled over the beds (not with us) which was quite entertaining to watch whilst sat on the side of the pool!

However their are major issues with the swimming pool area of the Hotel

There are not enough Beds for Hotel Guests.

The guests had an absolute blast and if I could do it all again tomorrow I would.

However a couple of issues people should be aware of, it’s a very big hotel the pool is not big enough for the amount of guests it was a rush every morning to get to the pool and grab a sun bed with parasol the pool doesn’t open till 9:30am.

If the service was as good as the food you would have hit the Jackpot 
You have to leave deposits for puttying anything on your bill to the room, i left £200 for drinks which was quickly swallowed  up with the Very Expensive costs and when it was depleted i felt very awkward and made to feel uncomfortable in front of many other Guest that you have no more money on your account.

The hotel is very busy with guests checking in & out all the time.

They used to serve coffee in the morning now it comes from a machine with the Queue that involves.

Eggs had to queue as only 1 person doing omelette  abd eggs.pool area disappointing very small lack of space for size of hote

We had to throw the pizza away as that was cold and again long queues at the pasta bar whilst waiting for pasta to be cooked.

The only thing small point that I would pick up on is in the day the pool bar is very disorganised, staff don’t know if they are serving, or collecting glasses and you can be waiting ages.

but sometimes a bit of a queue if you want eggs / omelettes etc.

Check in is the slowest check in i have ever experienced with many people not queuing and simply pushing in with the hotel staff saying nothing, again leaving me feel uncomfortable.

Sometime there was a short queue to be served at one of the many serving stations.

Small things like at reception whilst standing queuing (and visible) on a couple of occasions the receptionists decided to answer the phone first

Asked for some new lettuce, 10min of waiting man came back said they have none left.

Huge queue at checkin , no welcome drink.I chose a sea view room as I know cyclists book the back cheaper rooms.Surprise, cyclists next door, continually pumping and letting air out on balcony and door in room noisy because of comunial door to access room from my side.

You are likely to queue for ages and then find there are no teapots and a very limited choice of tea.

Rooms very clean and comfortable with nice touches of toiletries, water in the fridge daily, generous supply of bath towels.

Our room was spotless and large with free bottles of water daily.

Our room was very spacious and bright, the bed very comfortable and the staff ensured that the room was spotless and our every need catered for.

The room was clean and comfortable, we had sea views so really lovely .

Great menus every night, and I always found something I could happily eat,  and our room was spotless.

The room was immaculately presented, both beds had mini gifts of sleep scent and foot massage lotion and every day on return from our adventures the rooms were returned to this pristine state by the excellent house staff.

The size, comfort, facilities and cleanliness of our room were excellent.

The room was very clean & the bed was very comfortable,the only downside possibly was that we had a street view so it made the room very dark.

but on arrival as it was my wife's birthday we were given a balcony sea-view room.

We had booked a double sea view room and a high floor, room 830.

We had chosen a sea view room, certainly worth the extra since the views of the Calpe Rock were breathtaking.

If we were to go again we would pay for a sea view room with a balcony as we only had the balcony with hardly any sea view.

The view from the room was simply breathtaking and our balcony had 2 very comfortable armchairs and 2 sunloungers so an excellent place to relax, enjoy the sunshine and take in the beautiful views of the rock and beach.

The room is lovely, we had a sea view room and found it to be worth the extra.

Rooms  are spacious and as others have said the seaview rooms are lovely (cost additional €200 ) although there was some buiding work opposite

It was a first class experience from the sea view room we were allocated (739) to the eventual check out after our 7 day stay.

Our sea view room was well fitted out, and very comfortable.

We paid a bit more for the sea view room and was not disappointed.

The sea view rooms are worth paying extra unfortunately we couldn’t get one.

Our superior room (8th floor) was spacious, quiet, very clean and we loved the extra touches like the sun hat, beach bag and foot cream etc.

Both have shower gel and shampoo dispensers, again a nice touch.

Lots of 'un usual' touches make the hotel a little bit different.

The rooms are spacious and literally have everything you need including coffee machine, soft drinks beer and water complimentary each day, you are even provided with a beach bag which was a nice touch.

Every evening the team come around the rooms again with a free little gift , nice touch and ask you if you need more water etc. .

A nice touch was there isn’t an extra charge for using the safe in your room.

A lovely touch was the little treats/ gifts that we received on a daily basis and the little tasters provided in the beach bar and coffee shop.

The complimentary drink from the bar was a lovely touch!

nice touch! we were able to relax on the loungers on our balcony as the weather was absolutely gorgeous 19-21 deg c everyday (not bad for Feb, lucky or what!)

Room is great, lovely black out blinds, massive and super comfy bed, water replaced every day and a nice touch with a free bottle of cava on arrival.

Loved the little freebies in the room, also the snack bar from 4pm was a nice touch.

We were celebrating an occasion and the staff had added some lovely touches to make it special and memorable on arrival.

A few humourous touches (like the "typical welcome mat") show that this is far from an ordinary hotel.

It was very cold the week we were there so we never went near the pool

The only thing that could be better was where the bar is and the entertainment it’s cold we would have stayed longer to listen to the singer as he was very good

The hotel got very cold at night due to the amount of glass.

but that included changing time also and the jacuzzi was cold, the steam room also was not up to temperature as was the sauna.

* One consequence was that we regularly had to sit near to the restaurant door and subjected to very cold (January) draughts.

I see that visitors have been complaining for years  now that the food is cold and yet you still haven't resolved  what is a pretty big issue.

However, as another reviewer has pointed out - the situation with the cold food has made the stay much less enjoyable.

Cold food, wearing gloves and queuing is too much for what should be a restful mealtime.

The hotel was lovely staff were very helpful, food was good ,my only complaint would be that the food was not hot enough,sometimes it was just cold [they clearly are aware of this as there were microwaves set up to use!]

The infinity swimming pool area is clean spacious and overlooking the beach.

Pool area is great with fabulous sea views.

Pool area was also nice, overlooking the sea, and with a decent size pool.

Room was perfectly sized with up to date deco it had a fridge, kettle, coffee machine and a great view over the the pool area and out to sea.

Myself and my son came to Cap Negret Hotel for 5 days march 19th to 24th.We had a side sea view which also looked out over the pool area,lovely large pool bit chilly through.

An infant pool features at the rear of the pool area alongside some Love Island style day beds.

And it may appear so in the lobby and the pool area.

We would definitely go back to this hotel with the pool area and access to the sea it's definite plus.

Location of hotel was great ; right on pebble beach which we all loved and added to our adventure, and a short walk to the shops and promenade along the beach or on the main road .

The area is lovely, Altea has a promenade and an old town which the hotel provides a free shuttle if you need it, if you are ok the it’s a nice 20 minute walk.

Altea old town and the promenades are a must visit also albir is really nice and bus/tram ride away.

For the commercial centre carry on in the same direction till you hit the shops or, alternatively, turn left on a pathway that takes you under the main road and on to the beginning of the beachfront promenade.

although breakfast was lukewarm.Alteas a lovely place with a lovely promenade, also the walk up to the old town and the church is a must do.All in all we had a lovely relaxing peaceful holiday.Different class of people to some holidaymakers in Benidorm.Im no snob and I love Beni,but this was hol was Fantastic. 🤗🙂

Turn left and in 10 to 15 minutes you are in a pleasant Spanish working town with a lovely promenade.

All in all a great hotel and only 10 mins to the promenade.

You have the choice of walking along beach, first 300 yards or so on pebbled beach then a nice promenade with some 'interesting' sculptures takes you to the front with countless bars and restaurants.

At the promenade stop you could take the number 10 bus to Albir or Benidorm for 1.50 Euro.

Once at the town there is a long promenade down to the marina area lined with shops/bars/restaurants and plenty of shops in the town itself.

There is an everyday free shuttle which takes you to sea promenade or Altea famous church on the hill.

We were bed and breakfast so ate either there or on the promenade, loads of restuarants to choose from.

Right on the beach and a 10-15 min to the old town, with a brief section along the main road before you slip onto the sea promenade.

I returned at 4.30 to join another queue.

Depending on the time you choose you could be queuing for some time,

At two nights, during entertainment, we had to wait 30-40 minutes before getting our drinks served.

At 8am there would be a queue of at least 50 people waiting for the dining room to open.

Don't bother waiting for replacements you will be there a long time.

We arrived as part of a group of TUI customers around lunch time and then had to queue for 45 minutes to book in ( rooms are not available until 4 pm) and we then had to queue again for 15 mins at 4pm to get our keys.

Only negative is sometimes when queing to go in resturant can be waiting quite a long time while staff at desk sorts the bill for someone who has finished meal.

Angela the yoga teacher also great.only complaint, they should start dinner earlier.twice we had 2 queue for 30 mins, then missing most of the shows in the eve.the ones we did see were all amazing.i do think they shouldn't use props & signage eve with ABBA!u then expect people dressed up singing .

The staff in the restaurant were curt and rude and the queuing at every meal is really not acceptable in a 4star hotel it was very busy mainly due to the very restrictive meal times and the ridiculous way in which the doors never opened a second earlier than they should have done you stood outside watching the staff looking at their watches until the very last second.

However, if you want to take this bus costing €1.60 pp then walk out from the hotel, turn left, over the bridge, at the 4th set of traffic lights turn right and look for the No.10 heading towards Benidorm on the front of the bus.

but you might want ear-plugs, or to keep the air con on, if you’re a light sleeper, due to traffic noise.

There is music playing, you can hear it more if you’re closer to the pool bar

Bed slid around on floor every time moved and could hear scraping sounds from upstairs (probably their bed), room bland

but the noise and how busy the dining room was put us off a little  .

although a bit noisy if you want a window open.

They did this by sitting around the guests and being very noisy unapologetically.

but I don’t understand why the same jet - still sucking in air - was in action the remainder of the holiday.

Being able to speak some limited Spanish I was shocked to hear a waitress moan to her colleague about how my party of guests had been told to wait a moment for the wine menu

The only slight problem I would say would be the entertainment on a night, it was so so loud, luckily we turned the tv up and couldn’t really hear it

Also dinner was starting at 7:30 which with a small baby (10 months) can be challenging to keep them awake, so maybe changing that to 7, would be good.

It was very noisy and drilling started early some mornings (8am!).

I stayed here for 4 nights as its in a quiet part of northern Benidorm after Id spent 4 nights in the old town, I simply couldnt fault it, I booked a Premier side seaview room as I wanted to get the late evening sun.

My room was clean, compact, had a balcony which had a sea view and over looked the pool, all acceptable

The cleaners were in the rooms every day and made the rooms spotless, little personal touches ie putting my child’s doll neatly on the bed by the pillow .

The staff were extremely helpful, the rooms were spotless and cleaned daily.

Hotel is probably one of the best we've stayed in, we had a standard room which was immaculate and great walk in shower!

Our room was spotless, cleaned every day and we had a side sea view which was nice, the front view was of Altea.

The room was spotless the housekeeping staff do a great job and are very friendly,as is all the staff.The pool bar was open and the drinks prices not overly expensive.The entertainment was good especially the flamingo show.We did go into Benidorm on the tram and also Calpe.

for breakfast.The hotel itself and our room were very clean, the seaview was great.The drink prices in the bar are reasonable for a hotel bar,for us the entertainmnet started quite late( 10pm) 

The rooms were always clean, which reflected the hotel as a whole.

My wife and I stayed 10 days b&b at this excellent hotel.The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were more than acceptable.The staff were all extremely helpful and seemed to enjoy working at this establishment.We enjoyed our visit to Altea and wouldn’t hesitate in returning.Highly recommended.

The room was very clean and once again an exceptional view over the sea.

So to conclude room was clean,nice large double the hotel location is outside Altea

Only a 10 minute walk into the town of Altea.

Hotel has a mini bus that leaves at set times in the morning and back again into the old town.

And to top it off there was a fantastic festival in the town, if we hadn’t been in we wouldn’t have known the hotel didn’t bother to let it’s guests know!

A great hotel, superbly situated alongside the stoney beach just inside the town of Altea.

Excellent hotel, great beach location with easy walk into Altea seafront and old town Very clean, staff friendly, stayed B&B, breakfast buffet  was good with plenty to choose from.

There's also a tiny train station across the street if you want to visit Benidorm, Alicante or other local towns.

Altea is a a lovely town a hidden gem well worth a visit.

Altea is a lovely town to visit and will go back one day.

A walk up to the old town is recommended.

however the hotel offers a free shuttle bus that takes you to and from the old town.

We walked into town (Altea) a few times which was nice too.

Food was ok we only did breakfast though, evening time we walked in to town and grabbed dinner out.

Great pool and within walking distance of old town, well worth a visit and the marina.

There was nice views of the beach and the old town of Altea and the mountains.

Went on bank holiday so everything was shut in altea town,

The old town is around 20-30 minute walk away

A proper town rather than merely a tourist trap.

Stayed as a couple all inclusive in August 22.

Pool bar - it is very clear what you can have with all inclusive and you can’t fault it.

However the all inclusive package offered to SAGA guests is .poor quality .

Food:
Amazing food, especially if all inclusive, which i would recommend.

Had a fantastic all inclusive holiday at this hotel and really enjoyed it.

We were on an all inclusive deal and the food was excellent, served buffet style due to Covid,

Drinks menu at the bars was extensive and most premium drinks included in the all inclusive stay.

We were all inclusive and found all the food well cooked and very tasty on every meal, some days there seemed to be more choice at lunch time.

We were All Inclusive & found the menu was varied & the food enjoyable.

The food was also very good we went all inclusive which was great for us.

We were all inclusive ( not everyone is) and we opted for a 'superior' room, which turned out to be a good choice.

I came back from an all inclusive holiday having lost weight - which, I suppose is a bonus.

Been going to Calpe for the last 7years to a music festival,this has finished ,this because we loved the place we went again,we choose this hotel because we went in, and looked,we were not disappointed as everything was perfect for us,the ambience of the place was great,food was good plenty of sun beds anytime of day we were all inclusive ,our party of 6 enjoyed it and are booking again next year

The food on all inclusive was a very good standard on all meals and the staff in all departments very helpful and friendly Would recommend and would stay again.

What a great place we went all inclusive worth every penny the food, drinks, entertainment all spot on my little girls loved it.

This largely Spanish hotel is by far the best all inclusive we have been to.

We weren’t all inclusive so didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening as we wanted to explore the area more

but judging by the amazing selection at breakfast, all-inclusive would have been just as good.

The lifts can be slow when the hotel is full.

Although we knew that this hotel is popular with cyclists, we were very disappointed with the number of them that insisted on using the lifts to take their bikes to their rooms, often to the detriment of ordinary hotel guests!

With 4 lifts for guests, waiting times was short.

There are 4 small lifts for this huge huge hotel.

but bikes in bedrooms but the lifts are very small However in the middle of the week they dropped on me the fact that it was 12 euro a night to park there and I would have to move.
