Bus stop outside hotel to the safari park which was a fab few hours out.

If you fancy a boat trip there are a couple of kiosks to book them and you can get a bus to Porto Cristo and visit the Caves of Drach or The Caves of Hams and Dinosaurland.

Bus into town every 10/15 minutes during the day which is really handy, takes about 5 minutes.

We walked a lot, used the local buses to get to porto cristo and borrowed bikes to go up and down the coast on the cycle lanes.

From the moment we got off the bus we were amazed by this hotel.

We also took the bus into Porto cristo to the caves of drach which was cheaper to do our way than book an excursion.

Bus stops are clearly marked and the local bus service is easy to use - get a bus timetable from the reception area.

but it was fine we moved our cases ourselves, luggage trolleys we’re available.

This hotel is very misleading, no safari about it except a free shuttle bus to safari park away from the hotel.

Entertainment every night, shops within walking distance, excellent local trips including a bus to palma which is a must!

Bus stop right outside to bring you to the zoo or into the main town.

Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants close by.Visit to the caves is recommended we went by taxi and caught the bus back.

Inclusive too had a version of corneto and sandwich style biscuit ice cream couple of lollies and a magnum style one,  We used tui for some trips and were very expensive however the rancho grande was amazing night out horse  riding and a fabulous show , went to aquland with fast tack that was great day, went to Porto cristo to caves of Drach was great bus  stop by the pharmacy go early as always booked up, all in all great family place loads to do here you won’t be bored kids loved it too.

Both excursions picked up outside pharmacy .4pm collection in 30 degrees heat with the bus 40 minutes late wasn’t good!

There is also a safari bus which is free to take you to the zoo.

We took the bus to Porto Christo (20 mins) which was a lovely change of scenery and felt more Spanish.

Also good reliable/inexpensive local bus service!

The restaurants can get busy and some people's manners or personal space issues take a dive -

There are 2 ‘Balinese’ beds by the ‘relax pool’ which isn’t a relax pool and just as busy.

but doesn't feel chaotic busy unless in restaurants at peak times if you go at right time they're quiet.

The pools are extremely noisy and busy, no problem with the amount of kids, as it’s a family hotel.

but that’s only because of how busy the hotel is.

but we just found it too busy and the food didn't really hit the mark for us.

Only one that’s a decent depth is the jungle pool which isn’t massive so can get very busy 

Sofa beds not the best, ok for small children

It was very busy in the restaurants and had to queue to get in a few times.

but we wouldn’t come back - maybe if it was running at half capacity - but for us it was just too busy.

however, it was FAR too busy and hectic for my liking and definitely not a 4*!

It has 600+ rooms (so imagine 4 people in every one of those and you'll start to get an idea of how busy it is particularly around the pool areas), more sunloungers than I've ever seen in one place!

Our understanding was that those on half-board had two meals- breakfast and dinner yet were always seen during lunch-time, which may perhaps explain why the main restaurant was busy during lunchtime's.

Protur on the weekends seem to bring in large Spanish sports groups, so the already busy sports and restaurants are even busier, it doesn’t seem very fair on paying hotel guests, the facilities are over run with the sports people and families.

However the main buffet areas were extremely busy - although there were 2 main restaurants there only seemed to be 1 open most of the item,

Great kids section with nuggets pasta chips rice sausages burgers etc.

There are lots of free activities such as tennis, paddle, bikes, mini golf so great for active kids.

A children's disco is on before the evening entertainment begins which

I went to this resort with my young daughter and parents.

Excellent two week stay - 

Cons - bed not too comfortable - shower very slippery so be very careful - lots of kids

Allocated rooms 2015 for me and my wife and 2017 for our son and two children .

Friendly  Welcoming hotel  great for family, couples good  amenities  especially for kids  good  food  and entertainment, rooms  spotless had lovely stay.there is little train stops  every hour outside to take  to near places ,hotel offers Italian cuisine, goa Indian cuisine, tex mex nights

but great if you have children of your own.

The farm was worth a visit if you have children.

It’s a very family oriented hotel and there were lots of families with all ages of children.

The reasons for this are as follows, we visited when all the kids were supposedly back at school

There was a mini disco each night which the kids enjoyed and then entertainment from 9.30pm -10.30pm.

Our balcony was near to the stage, which meant we could listen to the evening entertainment on the balcony once our daughter had gone to bed.

although was great was far to stressful with us to try and keep sight of our children due to everyone stood around watching their children.

Like if everyone sits down then we can all see our kids fine

The splash pool would have been ideal for my 16 month old son

Im sure ideal if  traveling with young children.

The daily kids clubs are good and so is the splash park.

5 restaurants ( Indian, Italian, tex mex, Chinese and your buffet) loungers for everyone, great pool scene, drinks lovely mini golf included on your all inclusive.

There are lots of pools and it’s worth taking a walk around when you arrive to see what depth suits your kids, there is also a splash park that is great for smaller kids.

There are 6 pools in total and more than enough sunbeds to go around.

All areas of the resort are kept clean and tidy including the pool areas.

If you want one right next to the pool then I would advise getting there by 0900,

Many pools plenty of sunbeds, probably busy in the summer.

Pros:
Loads of sunbeds and loads of pools to choose from.

This hotel was great staff were welcoming and friendly, pool temperatures were fine the two splash parks were brilliant.

There are plenty of pools and sun beds which we clean and comfortable.

There were plenty of sunbeds available and the pools all had very attentive lifeguards.

There are quite a lot of pools, and a brilliant splash park for the little ones.

Pool bar has ice cream machine hidden you just need to ask for this and it’s included 

Slush- available at pool bar.

The pools are great, shallower parts deeper parts and kids pools just use your common sense dont chuck yer kid in a 1.7m pool when they can’t swim kind of thing.

Good points
-clean room, although we were facing the rear of the hotel into other room’s opposite 
-amazing staff who work tirelessly too keep grounds clean, feed & entertain the guests

- mini golf
- soft drink dispensers around the hotel to help yourself 
- help yourself freezer units stocked with lollies

- you can’t go wrong with breakfast

Positives - The hotel has good facilities in terms of pools for adults, children and babies.

No need to even leave the hotel it has everything you could need. Drinks are great and a good selection of pools for all levels of swimmers :)

As for other facilities there is a kids club, 2 splashparks 1 is free and one you pay for.

Which was more than adequate for our needs, and fitted the price paid.

We got a super cheap deal £320 each for 5 nights AL incl Flights so was good for the price, wouldn’t have wanted to pay more!

There’s little boat for the kids which are 3 euros and also mini golf which you pay for.

For the money we paid it's well worth it.

I found the pharmacy on the wall to sa coma beach had local brand at 1/2 the price.

They ran a doctor clinic in the morning and evening everyday, we needed to use for our little boy who had a temperature one day and got seen straight away cost us 110 euros for him to be checked.

This hotel is no where close to a 4 star…

We had booked this hotel back in December and was pleasantly surprised by both price and reviews thinking we had found a steal.

Just remember you’ve paid to go on holiday so just enjoy it, stop complaining, just have a drink and read a good book.

The water park was good also, we paid & €14.50 per adult & half per child for the day.

We would highly rate this hotel for a family holiday.

This hotel is CHEAP(but not in what they charge), GRIMY and TACKY they cut corners everywhere and take advantage of people who want to have a nice time away with children.

The food (providing you don’t give up on queuing and settle for buying some expensive snacks, that aren’t included in the ‘all inclusive’ deal) I would summarise by saying reminded me of school dinners, the best bit probably being the chips, which were relatively well fried and generally quite inoffensive and guess what they were served every day which was great, the big issue here being that so was everything else, which was horrendous!

….absolutely, for what you pay, you get a lot.

Top tips

The shop in the hotel is reasonably priced vs some of the shops in calla millor.

Also the price is set at a inclusive resort level.

Lots of choice, great food & service and very reasonably priced.

The restaurants that weren’t buffet were included in the cost you just have to book.

We also paid to go to La Reserva two days which was a massive hit with my son, the all inclusive works for the food and drinks and he didn't stop playing the whole day

The rest of the days you had to queue at 2pm to see what was available.

We never had to queue longer than a couple of minutes to be served.

but honestly pretty good would of went twice if we’d been bothered to queue again to book.

On a 10 day stay we queued & never got a slot.

You can waste a full day of your holiday queuing.

Cons 

The restaurant booking system is a bit ridiculous, it’s kind of a mad rush where half the hotel ques at 2pm to try and get a table and even in September we only managed to book one night at one so spent others at buffet or had to eat out

I didn’t drink a lot because I don’t know if I was just being fussy

The bar staff worked so hard so you was never waiting very long.

If you think you can get into one of "special restaurants" forget about it unless you want to waste 2hrs a day queuing for a chance of a table.

Top tip: if you get to the bar and you see someone has been waiting, don't be a plum and wave when the bar staff ask who is next.

In our block there were often queues for the lifts as only one was working, we just took the stairs

The closest to safari you’ll get is feeling like an animal waiting to be fed your meal at one of the buffets.

….you had to queue for over an hour to get a booking in any restaurant other than the buffet.

For breakfast we were there by 9 at the latest every morning and whilst busy we never really had to queue apart from pancakes once or twice.

however people start queuing at around 12:45.

never had to queue and wait for a table I was very impressed.

We didn't queue for the additional restuarants

Some days we had to queue to get inside, around 15 minutes before the sitting ends the staff start to close some of the food stands though, so if you prefer to eat late be there is often less choice.

Which unless you want to queue for an hour to reach the booking window, only to be turned away as they are full, then no, you don't have access to the restaurants.

The bar workers worked so hard - for it being a big busy hotel we never had to queue for a drink.

Food was really good for all inclusive and the themed restaurants are an added bonus, you can book one when checking in and we were encouraged to book the Italian which was in our last night, definitely worth the wait.

There are 4 speciality restaurants which you need to book.

There are plenty of sunbeds and you can use their pool towels, paying a €10 refundable deposit per towel for a week.

Perhaps do some homework first before booking a hotel like this one.

You have to que every day at 2pm in reception to book a restaurant for that night.

but queuing for 30 mins every afternoon to try and book one of them really spoils your day.

Be aware other guests for other sister hotels can also book into the 3 restaurants on site.

We booked into the Italian one night and people rave about it honestly it was fine wasn’t amazing

but lunch & dinner edible with good choice but Luke warm at best
- on arrival you can reserve a restaurant, unless you know in advance say the Italian (La Fontana) or Asian (goa) otherwise you will be disappointed.

Recommendations - the pirates adventure show is well worth the money, such an amazing show for kids, we would told transfer was an hour when booking when ended up about just under 2 hours, just to bare in mind if you have little ones.

but booked late and paid quite a lot for our holiday here, and so I was very apprehensive after reading the reviews in depth, after booking and locking a price!.

We manged to book the tex Mex and cardamon, beautiful.

Do book in with the other restaurants as they have other foods on offer.

but couldn’t get booked into any of the other restaurants.

We booked all 3 on arrival as we were a large party.

The booking system for the other restaurants on site is ludicrous.

Food and drink 
So this is where the hotel is let down, the food was not tasty, quite bland if I'm being honest however, if you can get into the Italian, Asian or Indian you're in for a treat the food and service was fantastic, drinks choice is fine

We had an amazing time, food is good, facilities are really good for children .

We had dinner one night in the Italian restaurant and it was very good.

but then it’s the kind of hotel aimed at them (although at times they were running riot without any thought for the adults and no parental supervision)

We didn't try the other themed restaurants, again because of my fussy travel companions rather than availability/menu choice etc.

Tex Mex Food was really good (not many GF options!

The food was lovely no complaints at all.

The food choices were amazing and the staff really helpful and hard working.

How people can write reviews and say the food is adequate is baffling, they have clearly never had a decent meal in their life or have eaten out of bins since they were born.

Most evenings they would have a type of theme, so chinese style food, mexican, etc.

The room was clean and had all the facilities one would expect of a hotel of this star rating, and to qualify for it being an 'Aparthotel' came with fridge, kettle, microwave, and enough crockery and cutlery for the number of people in the room (3).

The buffet restaurants were also fine and food was really nice and plenty of choice - tex mex at dinner time is really good with burgers kebabs etc 

The rooms were clean tidy and modern .

Pros - Rooms were clean and nice and modern, we had a ground floor room right next to entertainment and still didn’t find it too loud to sleep.

This hotel is the best we have been to the hotel and rooms are clean and the food is lovely, I think it is absolutely brilliant for the price, we were never stuck for choice there is so much selection at all meal times!!

The hotel is clean and the rooms adequate- having a fridge and microwave was ideal with a young family.

Staff are amazing super friendly with ghe kids.

The one thing that stands out is the efficiency and friendliness of every single staff member.

Every single member of staff provided a great customer experience.

The cleanliness from the staff were a disgrace.

Hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient.

Bar staff great and service the best I’ve had no matter what time hardly waited for drinks.

The staff members are non-existent, don’t talk or interact… the only great member of staff was the amazing aqua aerobics instructor!

This is from a heart broken and stressed mother of 2 years old which was genuinely looking for a nice break and first holiday as a family.

The choice is tragic, it’s bland and the staff clearly don’t want to be there!

JUst to also mention, the staff here work so hard and were all the lovely, the entertainment team were great and so energetic, the restaurant staff work so hard keeping on top of all the tables, and the bar staff for being so quick to serve you and clear away all the empties.

but the site is not detailed and does not provide all information ie iron availability, checkout requirements, entertainment, towels etc.

This consisted of changing the towels and removing some of the rubbish.

The last 2 weeks in August and never had an issue getting sun beds, up at 9.30 for breakfast and dropped towels out while walking to the restaurant.

You purchase all inclusive thinking you will not have to put your hand in your pocket when you arrive - only to discover that you have to pay for everything here. Extra costs include - €10 deposit per towel, minigolf €10 per adult, any decent alcohol, any other kids entertainment (like go karts, motorised boats, decent ice creams.  )

It is also one of those resorts where the customers get up at about 7am to put their towels out on the sun loungers and then don't use for most of the day.

The cleanliness of the hotel is nowhere near 4star, especially the rooms with the maid service only changing towels, making beds and thats it.

but suffer from overcrowding and people reserving sunbeds with their towel all day.

- everything is DIRTY, from the towels to the bedsheets
-the room didn’t get cleaned once!

however if you needed a few near each other you’d need to get up before 7.30 to do so as towels were down well before this.

but the hotel should have something in place to remove towels for unoccupied beds.

On arrival we paid for the tax and safe deposit and for the pool towels which you get back apart from the tax .

Beds were never an issue because we would put our towels out around 7:30.

but like other people have said, they don’t change the linen just make the beds but our towels have been changed.

Here is a summary (not exhaustive) of the reasons for why we did not enjoy our stay:

You are only allowed two beach towels per person throughout your stay.

Also, the cleaners were useless not washing the decking, changing bed sheets, and didn’t give fresh towels.

but as they allow people to reserve loungers with towels,if u are in a group of more than two people u won’t be able to sit together or anywhere near the pool.We was hoping maybe the food would be the one thing to be pleased with but unfortunately it was by far the worst element of it all!!!!

but I rang the reception to request some extra towels and they were brought up to us straight away.

Most days the maids came they didn’t leave enough towels and toilet paper, its boring having to keep calling reception just so everyone can get washed.

[  ] Does feel like Ryanair at times with all the added costs (paying for a safe and iron which should be standard for a 4star, deposit for beach towels, electric boat etc)
[  ] Resturant booking system doesn't work in our opinion.

But I suppose that's what August is about as it was very busy at all times.

The pool was very busy with families so we decided to use the adult/chillout pool from then on.

but obviously very busy in the dining area and queueing for food.

It was very busy around the pool and very busy at mealtimes which caused issues with our three year old daughter.

If the main pool gets busy, we just pop back to our room for a little dip.

- I asked about the a la carte  dining  to be told to move away from the desk as she was too busy booking clients in  !

but very busy and the sun loungers with cushions are €35 for two.

but was quite busy and not an enjoyable experience, lunch & dinner was repetitive and I think we’ve eaten enough pizza and chips to last a lifetime!

The Genral Pool, which was not that busy on most days.

The other bigger hotels next door were far too big, busy and loud for us.

but it was too busy for us,  we much preferred the low key friendly atmosphere of our hotel in the evening.

Sa Coma is v v busy and touristy, nothing authentic here, absolutely not our thing

We only went to the family pool which was always busy (maybe a bit quite lunchtime).

but we felt that as it wasn't busy , that they started clearing up so felt a bit awkward and slightly rushed and were not even offered any desert afterwards!.
