But I suppose that's what August is about as it was very busy at all times.

The pool was very busy with families so we decided to use the adult/chillout pool from then on.

but obviously very busy in the dining area and queueing for food.

It was very busy around the pool and very busy at mealtimes which caused issues with our three year old daughter.

If the main pool gets busy, we just pop back to our room for a little dip.

- I asked about the a la carte  dining  to be told to move away from the desk as she was too busy booking clients in  !

but very busy and the sun loungers with cushions are €35 for two.

but was quite busy and not an enjoyable experience, lunch & dinner was repetitive and I think we’ve eaten enough pizza and chips to last a lifetime!

The Genral Pool, which was not that busy on most days.

The other bigger hotels next door were far too big, busy and loud for us.

but it was too busy for us,  we much preferred the low key friendly atmosphere of our hotel in the evening.

Sa Coma is v v busy and touristy, nothing authentic here, absolutely not our thing

We only went to the family pool which was always busy (maybe a bit quite lunchtime).

but we felt that as it wasn't busy , that they started clearing up so felt a bit awkward and slightly rushed and were not even offered any desert afterwards!.

It gets very busy on the train and we couldn’t get on the morning one

Clean public areas, very friendly staff, food is very good quality.

The tables were always clean with white table cloths in the evening.

We arrived around lunchtime the hotel was clean and the reception staff very welcoming - you get told a few basic bits of information then asked to scan an app, i agree with comments around this, the app isnt the best.

We never had a problem with getting a chair by the pool and both pools were kept clean and manned by a life guard.

The hotel can not be faulted for its cleanliness, the staff work tirelessly to make sure the hotel is up to standard.

The hotel is modern, clean and feels luxurious.

This is still a very clean welcoming and friendly hotel, we ate well every day and the pool and facilities are very good.

The staff are great and the hotel is generally clean and tidy.

The whole area is very clean and rooms are serviced thoroughly.

We had a quiet garden room which was a good size and clean.

On arrival at the hotel, the check was brilliant, our room was spacious and lovely and clean, we had a room with a semi shared pool,which was lovely,we also had a bottle of Cava delivered to the room.

We decided to upgrade our room to a swim up pool and go all inclusive to save money on soft drinks and lunch which cost us a fortune last year.

There was also a smaller shallow pool for younger children.

The pool area was nice, albeit small relative to other resorts.

The plus points of the hotel are:

*Kids pool is great
*Food tastes fine
*Free mini bar in room for AI guests
*Good Location for Shops,restaurants and the beach
*Suite rooms nice and spacious
*Free Splash park is amazing
*Booking a hotel restaurant is a nice change

The Negative Points are:

*All the kids activities are at the safari hotel

The main pool space is great, plenty of sun beds and the pool area is clean and well looked after.

The pool is a great size and no fighting over sun loungers.

Minibar restocked daily as we were All inclusive. We spent all our time at the over 16 pool (tranquil area!)

The Tui Rep told us that the other entertainment and pools, golf etc was at the Safari Hotel

We will be returning once they have had refurbishment in the new year to hopefully have the same room with the garden balcony & pool.

The first day my child cut her foot open in the kids pool on an upturned screw.

but would highly recommend this hotel,
The food was excellent from breakfast, lunch and evening meal ,
Swimming pool and swim up bar relaxing and lots of space with sunbeds  no rush to put towels down in the morning

We used to visit this hotel years ago when the main pool had a different larger layout.

The only issue at the hotel was the poor state of the sunbeds around the main pool, not a deal breaker

- no music around any of the pools and beds felt quite hard with no cushions
- no smoking areas in the hotel, so you had to leave the premises for a cigarette
- entertainment for adults was really poor and the bar area was always full/limited seating for adults to watch shows without children running around
- walked into Sa Coma for the night and wanted to run back to the hotel (full of tacky bars and shops)

Overall, we had a good 4 night stay,

We thought the whole food experience and diner was poor.

Otherwise, watchable acts, funny at times with regard to how poor the standard was.

Totally disappointing hotel for many reasons - 

I’ve wanted to stay at a Protur hotel for years and it’s a beautiful hotel that’s completely soulless ran by a poor maintenance team with incompetent staff 

On our arrival from our cruise we were soon deflated with this hotel … on booking in we were given no information except a QR code and felt a complete inconvenience to the rude receptionist.

but the next two nights were extremely poor.

The standard of food really is quite poor.

One surprise was the poor availability/quality of fishes and frutti di mare (it is an island after all); I also imagine vegans would not really be happy - most dishes involved meats/cheeses.

He is grumpy and his cooking skills poor.

Apart from Mr grumpy on the grill the only things I think they could address is the evening entertainment which was poor an over by 10.30 each evening after which the staff were quite eager to close up.

however the air conditioning was poor and when we complained that the temperature was nowhere near the 16 C indicated on the display the receptionist asked if it was 20 C?

but left after about 15 minutes, as the children running around, adults chatting noisily and poor visibility meant we couldn’t really see, hear or enjoy the entertainer.

Weather was poor at the beginning of the week as we went shortly after the flood.

Also the entertainment during the day was poor, and the entertainment staff seemed to consist of 3people.

We also booked the boat trip which stopped off at various resorts including Porto Cristo.

You can also do some nice boat trips from Sa Coma as well - we did one for Porto Cristo and Cala Bona during our stay.

You can hire bikes for €10 deposit each day and we made use of these riding into Cala  Millor ( lots of shops and bars and fun parks for children here ) which was  ten mins ride along the cycle track and to Porto cristo 5 miles away.

Location of hotel was just okay, 10 minutes to beach, went to Porto Cristo beach on the bus which is much nicer than Sa Coma beach.

Nearby Cala Millor/Bona appeared to be fully open as was Porto Cristo.

Porto Cristo is nice for a day out, the caves are a good attraction and nearby beaches are idyllic (try Cala Romantica).

There are great cycle rides along the coast to Porto Cristo which most people could manage.

however convenient to visit Cala Millor (walking), Porto Cristo (15 minute bus drive).

Surrounding areas are lovely with Cala Bona 20 mins one way and Porto Cristo 20 mins the other.

Bus stop outside going to Porto Cristo, Cala Bona or Cala Ratjada.

Location was perfect, used the free bike hire every other day to visit Cala Millor, Cala Bona, Porto Cristo.

We did a few trips independently the buses are easy to catch (reception are really helpful with this) we visited the Caves of Drach, Porto Cristo, Palma and caught the train to Soller.

We cycled to Porto Cristo and visited the Caves of Drach(12 euro entry)- well worth a visit.

There are also buses to take you further afield if your wish – Porto Cristo, Cala Radjada, Palma and more.

We have already booked for next year and look forward to staying at the hotel and seeing all the staff again.

The deposit is refundable, yet the entire process felt tedious and mistrustful.

We have already booked for next year as we really don’t think we could top the experience we had at playa sa coma.

There are a couple of bus stops nearby which go to most places, book online, take the bus and save yourself a lot of money.

The booking in process is easy and thats the way technology is..

If you’re between minds about booking this hotel, I would go for it.

On arrival you get to reserve one meal booking for your stay, so I’d opt for with Goa or the Italian as these are both a la carte.

There are two pool areas, one reserved for 16+ which we used most of the time.

I booked the holiday through TUI, Wilton, Cork.

My friend booked this trip for us as she lives in the UK and I live in SA, hotel review look pretty good and I’m wondering why!

I would recommend hotel look at who is booking and try and put them in similar areas ie adults \ older kids to the adult pool\gym side area of the hotel and other side young families with children.

I' read the reviews before booking and was really happy with all the positive feed back so i booked and I have to say i am not able to fault the hotel the staff were so friendly and always on hand to help..

We booked a suite, which was super clean and plenty of space for her to play and run around in when we were indoors.

the rooms are clean and contemporary (we just booked a standard double , had a great view of the pool and gardens ) the buffet food has a wide choice and probably about 20 choices.

We are already booked for next June. Counting the days already :)

but there are some restaurants that you can book as well during your stay.

Food is good, we were half board, the breakfast and dinner buffet was good.

but the quality of the food was good and there was always something for all of us to eat.

The food is buffet style, with loads of choice.

I would recommend the chicken burger and garlic mushroom pizza.

but would have been very bored with the food and entertainment for much longer than that.

The cocktails are cheap and don’t taste good.

The hotel does zero to stop any of this and enforces the loosest of dress codes for dinner.

Special mention to Reuben the grill chef who was so busy

It ticks all the the right boxes and you will have a nice time as the staff are fantastic and food is very good.

We arrived around lunch time and there wasn’t a single sun-lounger spare.

As it was our first time all inclusive we were amazed by the amount and variety of the food on offer, there was truly something for everyone, this extended to every meal.

The best thing about the food was the fruit.

It was a quiet room and we were never disturbed at night.

The rooms appear to have been recently renovated and were nicely appointed.

The hotel and our room was clean and tidy, the food was very typical buffet and what you’d expect

We had a twin room with an additional pullout bed, which was plenty big enough.

The rooms are bigger than expected and also modern.

Pros;
 - we were upgraded to a ground floor garden room, which was modern, spacious and had a nice garden view.

but some pros and cons-

- two ladies that run the minicab are great, wish they ran the minidisco more often  (see below)

- multitude of different pools, some 'high energy shall we say' and others tranquil for adults
- hotel is undergoing some refurb and it is looking great.

The saving grace for this hotel is the level of service you get in both the dining room and bar.

but really quite nice room, very quiet but looked over the entrance to the hotel next door so not a great view.

Rooms are lovely, beds very comfy, pillows really good and good water pressure in shower.

We stayed here in July 2023 - our first family trip abroad for a few years due to small kids and covid etc.

It was our first trip to this area and to this hotel.

but will be refurbished later this year so looking forward to our trip in 2024.

We had read about this hotel while researching on trip advisor for hotels that cater well for coeliac’s, this did not disappoint we had an amazing time and an thank the hotel manager and staff enough for looking after hubby, (which meant no worries for me to)
We booked a swim up room all inclusive, my hubby was thrilled to find our inclusive mini bar had GF beer init ( restocked each day) very relaxing chilling on our patio next to the pool.

Renting Bikes (free if all-inclusive) was easy and a trip up to the castle via paths right in front of the hotel was invigorating (it is hilly though).

From the beach,boat trips are available to some fascinating places.

We popped into Palma and Cala Dior for a day trip and it was great fun.

Visited for 10 days with my boyfriend for a relaxing trip with a bit of sport.

The reception staff were more than helpful when assisting with planning day trips and car hire.

Lovely hotel spent ages reviewing and looking due it being our sons first trip abroad

TIP if you are AI and are going out on a trip or wont be back for lunch then request a packed lunch before 8pm the day before.

When we arrived in Palma airport, we found our transfer bus by ourselves, no rep to greet us.

Brilliant hotel,can’t thank the staff enough for the help they gave me after an accident and other guests for offering to help, especially one couple who helped me and my husband with getting on and off the bus to the airport,didn’t get their names.

We took the local bus to the caves of Drach £3:50 and a hotel bus trip to Palma for the day £35 Recommend this hotel

As we were staying for a longer period we took a bus trip to Palma on one of the days.

We also caught a bus which took around half an hour, to Porto Cristo which had a nice harbour and town beach.

You can take a local bus to visit Drach Caves in Porto Cristo, it only tales about half and hour, or Palma in less than two.

Alternatively the bus stop is located around a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

Tip Take the bus to Portocristo for a lovely meal on the canalside

Bus is really easy to get to Palma from around the corner for the cathedral (£8 per person return) and to Porto Cristo fro the Drach caves (£4 return).

however our personal favourite was Sa Coma beach which is approximately a 25 minute walk from the hotel or a short bus or taxi ride.

A first-class hotel (one of the best we have visited) – all areas spotlessly clean/tidy and staff helpful and obliging, located right on the sea front with easy walking access to Sa Coma and Cala Bona and bus  stop nearby to visit Cala Rajada, Porto Cristo, Palma.

The hotel is in a good area  right on the beach, many shops and supermarkets, many restaurants, good bus routes, taxis close by, boat trips not far away.

You have bus services to all local towns, Son Servera market on a Friday and you can do a boat trip to Porto Cristo.

All these resorts are flat and easy to get around, buses were on time too.

Good bus service if you don’t wish to hire a car.

We walked to Sa Coma  & S'Illot only takes 45 mins,and a bus to Porto Christo, a stroll down the front and the harbour area at Cala Bona is very nice.Would recommend  the hotel, as a good 4*.

Must do’s: Walk to castle, cycle to S’Illot and find Onkle Willies by the slipway , swim at Cala Morlanda (it’s a scramble down), bus to Son Servera for a beer in the square.

On the plus side, it wasn't too busy just where the hotel was, and there are some cool beaches nearby with rocks and coves if you travel South on the local bus for 15 mins (cheap).

Evening entertainment was on the whole very good with a good variety of acts and a lovely selection of cocktails :-) 
If you fancy exploring and don't want to drive then there is a great local bus service with stops just around the corner from the hotel.

We took a bus trip to Palma which was interesting

However on a positive note the hotel was clean, our room well serviced, the staff as usual were very professional and always happy.

The room wasn’t cleaned to a great standard, we had only just arrived off a coach and after taking my shoes off I found sand on my feet, I’d been no where near the beach!

On arrival the hotel is very clean and tidy.

The pool area is clean and quiet (well usually with out the building work) We didn't have any trouble getting a sunbed.

The room is lovely, clean, modern well furnished and a beautiful en-suite bathroom.

The rooms are beautiful and clean the food is delicious the staff fantastic yes we have visited other countries this year

We booked a sea view room which was clean and had a cracking view of the pool and the sea, we saw some great sun rises and sunsets from behind the patio doors.

The whole hotel areas are spotlessly clean.

There was more than enough space in the room for a chest of drawers, an easy fix.

The flight was fantastic from Bournemouth to Mallorca, under 2 hours, transfer to hotel was smooth and very easy.

Definitely loads of niggles and easy remedies to be addressed,

My husband is sight impaired, so was particularly suitable for us as easy to navigate as general areas all level with very few steps.

We spoke to many people who had visited the hotel numerous times and it's easy to see why.

but was certainly worth a visit and easy enough to get to with bus stops a short walk from the hotel (bus 401).

A large selection of beachfront bars and restaurants- we visited a few whilst out on our daily walk, easy walk along upto Cala Bona.

This is dangerous as it is easy to lose track of what you are spending,

Bar menus via a QR code which was easy, and everything charged to your room card.

We found it very easy to hire a car from reception as well as bikes and book tours.

The food was great - very fresh and easy to find something to suit.
