Booked water taxi through resort for 10 American round trip to Lovers/divorce beach where you see the famous Arch formation.

The arc, lovers beach, divorce beach were beautiful.

We recommend taking the water taxi to lands end, lovers beach, and divorce beach as well.

but we didn’t have an issue with noise.

but it seems we were downgraded, as party rooms are smaller with no couch.The rooms have thin walls as we could hear everyone in the hall and at all times of the night.

they had nightly parties which is fine,but you can hear the music bumping throughout the night.

We were rudely awoken to this bizarre encounter.

One thing I didnt like was the obnoxious drunks who would make noises at all hours of the night and woke us up a few times throughout the week.

it is so loud - the rooms are not soundproof, constant door banking, people walking to/from the disco and/or parties shouting, constantly up every couple of hours.

Drilling started at 7am above our room and continued all day.

My Fav 

Tips:  electricity in the rooms turn on with a card - the towel cards work - you don’t need to use a door access card 
Overhead fan in room was cold with the A/C blowing - the switch to turn fan off was by one of the beds switches for lamps 
Room smell is mildewy iso be aware.

but so was sitting in the pool bar watching the water traffic and non-stop crashing surf.

Also EVERY night the room sirens go off in middle of night.

Which we are sure we were not we were following all traffic.

Incredibly noisy, thumping music morning,noon & night, no peace to be found anywhere.

We flew all the way from US to Mexico and hearing that from the hotel manager to go look for another hotel is absolutely ridiculous.

These parties don't go any later than 11:00 so the noise from there was a non issue and I am very noise sensitive.

A bunch of us shared what we were told while we were at the pool that day and it was easy to see that they weren’t prioritizing the air conditioning system to be fixed and we’re just kind of telling people what they wanted to hear.

I could care less about the noise and partying that’s what vacations are about.. so that type of Karen complaining should just stop.

And you can basically hear the bass/music from the party pool anywhere in the resort while the parties are going on.

Definitely not the cleanest inside the room and the rooms were always cold and damp when you slept.

I say this because OMG it was disgusting how many flies spread like crazy when opening a door to get hamburger toppings.

I agree, outside of a few restaurants the food was disgusting (even the burger spot was gross) and staff sit around and let flies all over the food.

I mainly stayed in the room the last two days to get some peace from the vendors and loud music and nasty food.

They demanded to enter the room to check for smoking.

At the end of our second day after eating in the Asian restaurant, half my family and I got laid up in bed with a bad case of Monetzuma's Revenge (vomit and diarreha).

My only complaint was the coffee at the breakfast buffet was absolutely disgusting - must have been made with tap water with swamp scum in it.

They do NOT offer any kind of room service 
And to make matters even worse, our room reeked of mold and mildew.

First night at disco smelt like puke.

The restaurant food was awful and disgusting.

Manager (Evan) is rude, all the front desk people are rude, roaches everywhere in the dining hall, dirty and filthy snack bars, I can keep on going.

Bugs and debris on the surface, bugs and debris on the bottom, and a literally sheen of nasty everywhere.

-The lines were disgusting, stained and dirty

-The dining area is swarming with bugs

-Little children grabbing food with their hands

-There is no business area so if you have to do work, you either do it in the room, the reception area which has no air conditioning or the sports bar, where children run wild

-It’s useless to have reservations at restaurants because they let anyone in 

-Oh yeah, you can show up to the restaurants in your swimwear.

The pools and pool parties were super fun until I started to get major skin irritations on my feet and below the waist… ya the family jewels are fluorescent red, peeling, and extremely painful.The doctor said it Looks like a very bad chemical burn.

The room was smelled like mould when we got in and the shower leaked water

The food why you could find something edible was a disappointment especially the Italian restaurant yuck!

Everything tasted horrible and disgusting!

Yes, shower works, with really stinky water.

The server went as far to turn OFF the machine in front of us so we couldn't use it ourselves for self-service, DISGUSTING!

7 is closest to the pool and beach, 9 is closest to the water park.

Location to town was perfect, water slides so much fun, and sports bar was fun (Altho could use more tables).

They have a water park for children and have entertaining shows ( kind of late at night 9 pm ).

A few times a week the staff will do activities like water aerobics or surfing which was fund.

the water at the beach is glorious and it was calm enough that people swam several days of my visit.

The Pros:  Nice, large pools, on the beach (although Pacific isn't very swimmable), great water park, simple nice rooms (recently updated), and friendly staff.

Shower was hot and great pressure, 4 bottles of liquor in room and a full frig of water, soda, beer, etc.

Blowing our vacation budget out of the water.

but those water front ones are even better.

Very family friendly as the pools were clean even the little water park.

.maybe 10 yards then the water is quite calm and you can float in place or ride the next wave that shoves you back on to the beach.

Most of the resort is open air and it would’ve been nice to have water in the lobby.

1) For some unknown reason the resort turns off the water filtration at night.

I really like the self serve drink locations so that I don't have to bug the bar staff when I just want water.

Overall I would say that is the place to eat! If you go to Cabo you absolutely must take a boat tour over to "Lovers Island" and "Divorce beach."

Recommend the short boat ride to The Cabo Arch at Lovers Beach and Divorce Beach.

We took a water taxi to the rocks and arch, highly recommend going to Divorce Beach there as the beach is beautiful.

Saw sea lions, lovers and divorce beach where we got out for an hour and enjoyed a swim.

Sea Lions, whale watching and more from the beach out there called Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach.

but always had exhaust fan noise from 8 am to 8pm.

We didn’t sit on the beach during the day just at sunrise, so we didn’t have to worry about the constant pressure sales.

Construction noise was annoying and prevented me from a relaxing massage.

but they are not easy to hear around the hotel, and heard of several rooms who could not hear these announcements at all.

The booze was constantly flowing and it wasn't a constant party every night

PROS: GREAT VIEWS (that's it)
CONS: NO RUNNING WATER, NO AC, HORRIBLE FOOD, WATERED DOWN DRINKS, NOISE ALL NIGHT, FLIES EVERYWHERE, CHILDREN'S RESORT CONNECTED, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO RESOLVE OR COMPS OFFERED FOR BAD SERVICE, HOT WATER IN POOLS, NO COOL RELIEF ANYWHERE.

but these were constant and were pushing drugs.

The restrooms on the resort were horrendous, people were using the bathrooms and there was urine and feces everywhere.

My husband is a plumber and if you don’t hear air when you turn the faucet, there’s no water.

But because the air conditioner being so loud you couldn't hardly hear the TV anyway.

My only thing is that while in your room, you can hear all the noise from the hallways, including the doors constantly closing, and the people being loud in the hallways as well as the nighttime entertainment, I wish there was a way to soundproof them more.

This place reeks of a spring break party atmosphere with constant, constant noise and ridiculously loud music at all hours of day and night.

But if it was off, you could hear either pool or show noise like you were right there.

If I had my family at the other resort, I would be pissed to have the loud noise and experience around my kids.

Because after many calls to the hotel property, RIU.com, and Priceline I have been unable to get any sort of refund on a trip canceled by my airline due to Cabo runway damage.

Note this is a large U shape resort and you can hear music like an amphitheater

We came to our room to rest after a long day of traveling and could hear people yelling and screaming through the hotel.

The property is fresh with really good entertainments with beach and water volleyball, table tennis, gym, water zumba.

If you want to swim, you can walk about a km down the beach where the water is calmer.

but the staff were amazing at bringing us water and food to our room and checking on us to see how we were doing.

It wasn’t very busy when we were there and we took advantage of all 3 properties and the water slides were a blast!

Luckily we had power, water, even WiFi the whole time, and were allowed to the buffet for supper.

The water park and pool party are less than a 5 minute walk from any room on the property,

Fast forward to the next day, still no water.

We arrived Saturday the 23rd and the water went out a little before midnight.

We saw staff getting water out of the fountains to do what they needed.

The workers used water from the fountains outside to clean the rooms.

I also have pictures and videos of housekeeping staff fetching water with their water buckets- to clean the property with dirty fountain water.

Housekeeping was scooping buckets of water from the fountains to flush toilets and clean.

Nice mini bar and fridge except the bar never got refilled unless we called the front desk, even for water!

You'll be too busy walking around the beautiful clean grounds and chilling in the infinity pool with a margarita looking out at the turquoise beach waters to be miserable!

I love the water and this was the only drawback related to the property.

We went to their Zumba and water aerobics classes every day that we were there.

•	We had daily housekeeping, and stocked bar fridge pop, beer, soda, and water
•	Rooms are clean and shower head pressure is strong!

They are nice and spacious with a great shower head and water pressure.

The room was large and well-stocked with beer, soft drinks, and water.

We took a private yacht tour out of the marina to see the sea lions and the arch, lovers and divorce beach.

The best part about downtown is that you can rent a private nice boat for about $150.00 an hour to take you to the Ach, Lovers, Divorce beach and whale watching or fishing .We did that and it was amazing.

Other things to do in Cabo 5/5: 
Water taxi to lover’s beach/divorce beach/el arco.

Around the property, it seemed to be stronger and more consistent.That is a concern as we were stuck having to do zoom calls in public areas of the hotel for the WiFi and that was not as comfortable.

but you also don’t want to run up your mobile phone bill by using 3G/5G when WiFi ***should*** be PLENTIFUL.

However, my partner got their phone taken from one of the cubbies at the neon party and unfortunately it wasn’t recovered before we had to leave the following afternoon, so I’d suggest keeping anything valuable on you or locked in your room.

My son also stated that when he went to there called the security guy on his personal cellphone..not on the walkie-talkie not on the hotel phone.

She
told the person on the phone that we need both housekeeping AND maintenance.

My friends had to call a pharmacy themselves.

Brother had blood stains on his duvet
- Had to call and ask 3x for a rollaway bed

He calls the front and gets the room number.

We were not allowed out of room come Sat and that was all the food given until 2pm - after numerous calls.

After realizing this I wandered around and asked 3 different security people to let us in our room or at the very least call the front desk to have someone come let us in.

Could not even talk or hear music on the phone.

My only tip would be to upgrade the plugs etc to accomadate phones etc.

Had to call for maintenance to get it unlocked.

There was a sense of dissatisfaction if employees didn’t receive tips for the slightest of actions as calling a cab.

I figured no one was taking me seriously so I did not want to call and instead just went there.

I attempted to call the front desk 5x from the phone in our room without any success.

Before then my phone was turned off so I was not able to locate it.

- If you are less mobile, please note there are LOTS of stairs to get around here. I would like to note that Nicole tried to make amends for the many issues we had in our room upon checkin by making us a few "reservations" at the specialty restaurant (though getting a table at the restaurants was not hard)

but when 
we opened our doors, we were taken aback by a very strong overwhelming sewer stench in both our 
rooms.

- Moldy bathroom and dirty bedroom furniture.

Rooms showed signs of mold and smell of mildew.

The sheets feel wet and everything smells musty.

The windows, balcony, furniture were left FILTHY!

Just a disgusting experience especially the food.

Smells like sewer really bad and rooms have fallen apart. Beware.

but there are paint chips, chipped wood moldings,cracked tiles, chukcn out of concrete walls, bathroom fans that don't work, etc.

Even the Saxaphone was dripping in sweat which was also not appealing.

Smoking locations are not wheelchair accessible and too remote.

very stiff and questionable and the seafood smelled like it had been left out in the sun for days.

Very warm and smelly elevators, lacking any form of ventilation.

Food lacked flavor, floor in room got my feet dirty when walking barefoot on first day of stay, sometimes it smelled like sewer water in our room and on the atea by the pool, taxi service super high compared to local rates

but since there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, the room felt musty and a bid humid.

They shouldn't put the smoking station by the swim up rooms that people pay more money for!

but our neighbor smoked on his balcony, there was someone by beach washrooms smoking, guests on ground floor with pools attached smoked in their pools and a few poolside smokers trying to be sneaky.

We'll just open the balcony door and enjoy some fresh air since the room was musty smelling anyway.

There was more than enough water bottles and anytime I needed more they let me grab

One of the pool maintenance team actually took the time to stop and chat with us while we were in the pool to ask about our experience with the water.

The huge kids waterpark and full sized water slides are the best features.

Lots of sports activities for the kids including the wicked water slide at the Santa Fe.

Saw lots of little kids having fun at the water park for little kids at Santa Fe.

The room was well-stocked with bottled water, replenished every couple of days.

Pools were fabulous and the water temp was perfect!

We replenished water ourselves daily from the Lounge 24 in the AM and again in the PM.

We reserved two different rooms with the view of the water.

Unequipped and non-swimmable beach - and no complimentary shuttle or water taxi to Medano or Lovers beaches (just 5 min away)

TO SUM UP: I would definitely come back if there was beach, or organized service to good beaches nearby.

We also ran out of water in our room and made several requests on the app and a call to the front desk,

After talking to several people, the water is like that year round.

The pool areas are beautiful and my favorite activities were the H2O Zumba and Water Aerobics classes in the pool led by Jerry!

The place is breathtaking I needed this water 💦 therapy for my birthday.

Amazing time, the entertainment was great, especially loved pool games,Zumba, and water aerobics 😄.

Buffet was great, especially for our grandkids, Steak house awesome and so was the Italian.Entertainment was excellent, shows were great, Zumba and water aerobics awesome.

It was under construction and WINDY, both of which we didn't expect.

Only to arrive after a long day,  they book you in, then tell you that they are having maintenance issues and they will be sending you to their sister hotel, way out of town,
Stupid expensive, and you are stuck in the middle of no where, and the place is being

but were disappointed this year when we found out the construction of the Grand Solmar has taken away a pool from the Solmar.

Besides wasting the whole afternoon in their crazy shuttle, we wasted the evening trying to fix the air conditioner… (10) By the second day we were there they started construction in 2 rooms, one right by our right and one right by our left.

Yes, our first room was a bit outdated and unfortunately was right next to/over the construction happening on their new entryway,

Construction was still ongoing at the Solmar,

We moved into a room, that was away from construction noise and had sun.

Another issue was when ever we wanted to take a nap in the middle of the day they had construction going on continuously and the worst part was the Jack hammers.

Despite some negative reviews I read there was hardly any construction noise.

The resort again was inundated with construction noise from the additional lobby work.

Construction going on which was very loud at times.

But more than that, we were given a room (told it was a free upgrade to a special suite, "no extra charge"), only to find a major jack-hammering construction project was going on right outside of our balcony, 10 hours a day.

Because of construction, we were relocated to the Playa Grande from the Solmar Resort and Beach Club.

The beds were comfortable and I did not hear any of the construction noise others have mentioned.

The construction noise was at times loud,

The prices are bad to start with then they add IVA tax and a 10% resort service charge - which according to the manager is optional

We also played multiple cards games on the daily.

I would caution people that they do charge to the room even if you request to pay separately which caused disruption at checkout

The resort will shuttle guests to their other properties without charge.

The All-Inclusive option is a tremendous value and we love the food and drink options, we do wish the tip option was a little more transparent so we could ensure if we were tipping on the room charge that it would go to our server,

They wouldn't let uber past the gate because the hotel charges $100 for airport when it's $40 for uber.

I paid the balance a week before the trip.

Paid online and my card was processed on Mar 19, 2022.

One thing to be aware of is you cannot add a tip to your credit card.

Don't drink any of the bottled water provided in the room or you will be charged.

I lost $800, and no credit was offered either.

Not even a place to charge your phone by the bed.

Additionally we got home to find $$271.00 additional charges on our credit card.

I was charged 40.00 for 4 shots of Don Tequila when I have been sober for 30 years.

On top of that they triple charged our credit card charged us the day we checked out days after we left so now we have to call the bank and have that fixed.

but he could use my west jet credit card.

The rental agent agreed and it was only when I received my credit card statement when I returned to the US that I saw I had been charged the higher price.

Has overpriced restaurants charging $25 for a fettuccine Alfredo when their sister facilities sells full seafood dinner buffets for $37 for adults and half for kids.

Walking over to Divorce beach and snorkeling over at Lovers Beach is a highlight.

We were able walk from the hotel to climb over the rocks to Honeymoon Beach, Divorce Beach and Lovers Beach to swim in the Sea of Cortez.

You are a few yards away from what they call divorce beach.

If you are reasonably fit and up for a scramble you can walk to lovers/divorce beach - bring your snorkel or rent one at lovers beach to swim at pelican rock.

The rock formations are phenomenal and offer small beaches including a honeymoon and a divorce beach; both lovely!

The location near land's end was perfect as well, so you can hike over the small rock formation to get to Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach.
