 - Live music at the rooftop bar.
 - The Rooftop bar is very cool and has particularly amazing views.
 - Best location, great food, great staff, extremely helpful and courteous, Manta - Excellent Great rooftop bar with music, lovely breakfast at The Ledge Love the Spa . .
 - We frequented the Rooftop bar for spectacular sunsets, cocktails, snacks & the daily musical entertainment.
 - The rooftop bar has the most AMAZING atmosphere.

 - Don't miss the fresh coconut water, lobster Benedict and octopus chiliqueles with red and green sauces!!
 - The maids were kind to leave us extra water every day.
 - It was also hard to get fresh, cold water.
 - Cabo is a small, touristy town that includes endless t-shirt shops, bars, restaurants, and water activities.
 - A large water dispenser and glasses would also have been nicer than providing small plastic water bottles in request, which is wasteful and less convenient.

 - however, there are some things left to be desired for the price the location is commanding.
 - Other than Manta - I would not recommend this hotel to anyone - the hotel is expensive for what you get and was definitely not the 5 star experience we were expecting.
 - though they offered to remake our drinks, we weren't going to wait another 20 minutes - we didn't drink them (and they were expensive).
 - Bottled is super pricey so be careful.
 - One can't even pay a fee to access it by itself- and it should be offered as an amenity to suite guests or Globalists.

 - We got married at The Cape this past weekend and we could not be happier with our experience.

 - Our spa services were also wonderful.
 - Lastly, we have to acknowledge the amazing chef and his team, the head bartender and his team, and Lupita from the Spa (the best massage I have ever gotten - request her if you get a massage!).
 - The spa is wonderful.
 - Best location, great food, great staff, extremely helpful and courteous, Manta - Excellent Great rooftop bar with music, lovely breakfast at The Ledge Love the Spa . .

 - Just make sure you bring the platinum card.
 - You automatically get charged a 15% service fee for every order.
 - but a $250 F&B charge for a couple hours at two non-that-special lounge chairs?
 - Also, they charge for coffee if you are not in a suite.
 - If they could have charged you for the air you breathe they would.

 - The checkout process was a bit confusing with charges on 3 different cards among 3 couples,
 - We should not have been charged for it, regardless).
 - but charging for housekeeping when the room charge is $4,000/night-- seriously? I highly recommend this place but bring money-- lots of it or your AMEX Black Card (which thankfully I did:)
 - On arrival there were 4 cars, pretty much like a bus showed up our guide was more worried about getting us to the room and credit card they forgot to mention the free amenities at the spa like yoga and spin class which we found out about on our last day.
 - but ended up having to book direct -- and I am glad we did because apparently the Esperanza concierge charges close to 100% commission to do it for you (in other words: booking direct was half price).

 - Our villa was spacious and beautifully designed with gorgeous views of the resort and ocean.
 - The property is stunning, beautiful ocean views and whales playing in the sea right off the shore.
 - We also had a wonderful server at the pool and our beach cabana.
 - The resort is beautiful and the pools, restaurants and beach will not disappoint.
 - The anniversary dinner on night 2 on the beach was breathtaking, the DJ played great music and the fireworks made it extra special.

 - Interestingly both pools handled water differently.
 - They had a great private beach where you can dip your toes in the water and when it was low tide you can see small tropical fish swimming around the rocks.
 - We asked for a Yeti cooler filled with bottled waters and it quickly came.
 - Activities readily available (we spent a 1/2 day golfing, and took a water taxi in Cabo San Lucas to see the iconic rock arch.
 - Very pleased to have stayed in a top of the line resort: salt water pool, spa casita jacuzzi and marvelous sense of arrival.

 - The Spa is one of the best ever!
 - Our villa host, Arturo Chinas, took care of all of our needs, from dinner reservations, golf tee times, taxis, spa appointments, covid test scheduling, airport VIP service, etc., etc., and he is a friendly, helpful all around nice man.
 - From wonderful accommodations , gorgeous grounds , a fabulous spa and great service from the staff our vacation was fabulous.
 - We booked an oceanfront spa room which is truly beyond fabulous.
 - We had delicious meals, a beautiful spa experience and fantastic workouts in the gym.

 - As such, while we would have been willing to give them another chance, we probably won’t be back to any Auberge property (so we are unlikely to attempt Chileno Bay).
 - but you can buy a daypass at their sister resort, Chileno Bay for approx $650USD which has beach access.
 - We visited their sister resort Chileno Bay and I would definitely love to stay there one day,
 - Juan at the front drive was always very helpful with securing our transportation needs and even offering to rearrange our reservations to coordinate with the shuttle times to Chileno.
 - We have stayed at Esperanza, Ventanas, and most recently Chileno Bay and The Montage.

 - If you think that other reviewers are exaggerating about the cost of meals and cocktails, they are not.
 - On our yearly trip to Cabo this quote expensive restaurant has been up and down.
 - That may be the only downfall to staying here is that the cost of food is definitely on the higher end.
 - Very pricey food
 - but an expensive hike) and Farallon at Pedregal (closer, such that it was an easier trip - but the cost of the meal was more expensive).

 - We booked our stay at Esperanza after our usual resort was undergoing construction.
 - But there are a couple of downsides: 1. sunblock on the resort is expensive ($47 for one spray bottle); 2. there was construction next door to the resort that had very loud jackhammering for 3 out of the 5 days there - not the hotel's fault
 - We stayed from 8/28 to 9/2 and yes, there was a lot of construction going on and a decent amount of noise.
 - There was some construction at one of the areas during the stay
 - Upon arrival, there was no check in, Jose immediately greeted us and explained to us that we were upgraded to a two bedrooms ocean view villa because the room we booked was close to the construction work with some noise.
