This has a great fitness centre and food was excellent for an all-inclusive.

Lastly, eventhough  this is an all inclusive resort the workers DEFINITELY be fishing for those tips.

Cons: On top ofl the HIGH all-inclusive fee, you must shell out more $ for prime cabanas or lounge chairs with umbrellas at pool and on beach.

Then drink service, whether we were in our beach cabana or outside by the main bar we were well taken care of by Janett, Humberto, Luis, David, Adrien and Eloisa.

Rooms have jacuzzi which is great after a tiring day out at the beach.

Had no issues with the beach, and found good seating area with shade.

They also offered nightly entertainment and a great beach with amenities.

For any guest needs The concierges, Monica and Anna are the people who will be sure to take care of those needs.

Came to the Hyatt Zilara with my friends, mom and sisters to celebrate my divorce!

I insisted that we should not be charged and reluctantly they 'waived' the additional fee for us.

Which tells me they're probably not getting paid what they deserve.

They don’t provide them anymore and charge $12 USD for a metal straw.

The spa - They were running a promotion to get an 80 minute massage at the price for a 50 minute so I took advantage of it plus they added on Hydrotherapy treatment.

As I explained to him a bunch of people were upset they couldn’t sit in or by the pool unless they paid $80 for a cabana each day (which came with 2 loungers in the pool) As Mr.Rojas explained to me this money grab was put in place by previous management

There is also entertainment every day and night, with a range of shows and classes at no extra cost.

The only downsides of our stay were the terrible sales pitch on check in, super misleading and time wasting. He promised a three minute chat to provide us our welcome package, turned into a 15 minute guilt trip to sign up for a 90 minute sales pitch saying "he wouldn't get paid if we didn't attend."

And far too many hidden fees, especially for things which should have been included (ex: a chair by the pool or on the beach, a seat to watch the nightly entertainment , etc. ).

Once those are taken, you either have to pay for a chair or cabana, or find a place to store your stuff.

but not if I could find something close to price.

He told me if I paid him I could sit there.

Little if any consideration for the guests unless you want to pay extra as in the seating around the pool and at the beach.

This is additional cost and is not cheap.

though it's an all inclusive, there are plenty of things they want you to pay an extra charge for so just stick to the normal menus and you'll be fine!

but the only way you could get a poolside chair is if you pay money for a cabana.

Consistent high quality food and beverage choices, friendly professional staff who are eager to assist you and make the most of your stay.

The hibachi dinner is fun and books up quickly.

The food was excellent and I’d recommend trying the Chefs Plate.

We always enjoyed the buffet in Spice, given our food limitations.

The food was very good, especially the breakfast.

The culinary delights at the resort are truly remarkable, offering a diverse and delicious menu.

We rented cabanas on two days, and we also had a romantic dinner by the water.

The shows were great, and with one exception, so was the food.

The location is in walking distance to luxury shopping and several quality restaurants.

Restaurants ( especially the one facing the beach) are good.

The white party, the Cabernet show, karaoke and the dj’s!

High quality and entertaining evening shows.

My personal favorite was the Mexican Night, and the Michael Jackson night!

The hosted a variety of great entertainment from day activities to spectacular shows.

The evening shows were okay - neither too good nor bad.

Thank you for the incredible food, unbelievably kind customer service, all the work and effort that went into to Christmas show and buffets.

We also loved all the entertainment every evening of our stay.

The entertainment team was a top-notch - especially Pepe and Diana who are AWESOME resident fitness instructors.

Juan Canto at Spice, drink server Eloisa, entertainers Jonathan/Genaro/Charly, and Luis/Martin/Vaneli/Ivan/Camilo at Asiana.

Hotel offers non-stop entertainment and rooms are tended to constantly.

We were also pleasantly surprised by the evening shows.

The evening shows are superb--I have been to many different resorts and this one had the best shows I have ever seen.

There are shows every night, plus fitness classes, a gym & lots of activities/parties.

While there are upgraded dinner options, spa services and cabanas available, they are not high pressure sales.

Note: I HIGHLY recommend Lucero is you book a massage. Incredible!!!

We also took advantage of their spa twice, which was so relaxing.

The hotel and grounds were kept impeccably clean and the amenities, eg: fitness center and classes and the spa were the icing on the cake.

We went to the spa- very unique & again staff are unbelievable.

I’d like to particularly commend Ivan, David, Isal, Sergio and Humberto in the bar & pool area, Martha in the spa and Ambassador team Ingrid, Ana, Monica, Paulina.

The spa experience was phenomenal and the beach was very well kept and pretty would definitely recommend a stay here.

Special kudos to some staffs who are really great asset to the team, Cesar Banron at Marie Marie, Nohemi at zen Spa, Abimael at the lounge space.

Gladys, Elisa, and Alejandro at the Zen spa made our time so relaxing.

The service and staff members are so amazing, especially Dianna (pilates/water aerobics instructor), Jose (who works in the gym), Jonathan (activities coordinator), Roberto (waiter at Spice), Ernesto (bartender at The Den cocktail bar), Arturo and Valdemar (waiters at Punta Vista), Francisco (Asiana hibachi chef), and Williams and Alejandro (who worked in the spa).

Walking into the building all you see is that breathtakingly blue water.

It was a long walk across the lobby or down the stairs to the beach to use the facilities.

When you first walk in it smelled so good and everything was so clean.

You will gets asked by people walking the beach to buy trinkets probably a dozen times a day.

We were treated like royalty when we walked in.

The pool and beach are so beautiful, we enjoy walking on the beach every morning.

We asked a staff member walking by how we should book the cabana and they said they would do it and for us to wait there for him.

The beach is spectacular and we loved walking it once or twice daily with a drink in hand.

Walk out the sliding door facing the ocean and take 3 steps and you are in your semi-private pool shared with 4 other suites.

The service from the moment you walk in is incredible.

We got a swim-up room again and I just love being able to walk out onto my patio and get into the pool with my own private chairs in the water

The location within the hotel zone is spot on - about 20 mins walk to the main bars or a 3-4 minute Uber/Taxi.

Pool attendants are always walking around to ensure you always have a drink.

They made us feel so special from the time we walked in, to the time we checked out.

In part of guest services the hospitality and awesome attitude of Alejandra made a great first impression walking in.

Be prepared to sweat as soon as you walk outside of your room.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom Room on the beach with Presidential services and were never disappointed.

There isn’t really a traditional beach area with ocean access.

The massages on the beach were relaxing and amazing.

The beach- hundreds of ugly wave breakers.

And if you are a beach person well the beach isn't very good at this resort and the beach isn't Swimmable.

They stretch the entire length of the beach and are very unsightly.

These were miles of white sand, loads of fish and a beautiful pier that extended into the sea.

Restaurants are very nice, beach is beautiful, and grounds are expansive and gorgeous.

Gerado at breakfast, Jose  and Sinuhe at the beach  were excellent and Enrique at the lobby bar.

Here, we experienced an exceptional service by the Beach Butler Guillermo Pucheta, who went over and beyond to create a special experience for us.

butlers in the member section of the beach were awesome, Singeah, Guillermo, Gabriel and Omar made sure we had everything we needed.

The beach is rough (due to a 2005 hurricane),

We played beach volleyball and pool sports.

but the beaches are very rocky and treacherous in most areas.

Sadly we were very disappointed this time, so sad as it’s a great hotel with a wonderful beach and location.

We received above and beyond service from beach

Gabo and Guerllmo at the Exotic members beach area - the best and attentive to our needs - which again, were not much !

The facilities are amazing, we loved the Beds on the beach, the swim up bars etc, it’s a full on party atmosphere so if your from Texas and you want a full on four day pool party with foam then this is it.

The grounds are well kept and maintained, as is the beach,

The greatest asset that the resort has got is its staff, our Butlers, Drew, and Elizabeth, gave such great service, as did our Concierge Ruth, Beth, and Angie.

Lost my job due to Covid and my husband filed for divorce on me several months later.

If you manage to get a reservation and miss it you will be fined $100 USD.

Some a la carte servings were quite small and there was a lot of menu options not included in the all inclusive package meaning that you needed to pay additional charges for some items.

The taxi from the hotel is 65.00 USD and last

Taxes - there are additional costs outside of booking the hotel from the Mexican government so you have to pay a resort fee tax and a sanitation tax.

Food was mediocre at best except for Fuentes that we paid $100/pp extra.

I have to say that this hotel is not a luxury hotel and is not worth the money we paid.

As I have said this is 5th time Mexico most expensive hotel and by miles the worst, we read reviews ect before booking and our take on it is a lot of Americans come back and love it

Overall for the price we paid over £2000 each we shouldn't have to pay for extras like the sauna or some of the other resturants like fuentes wasn't included.

I’m disappointed the beach is not nice no swimming no snorkeling unless you pay for an excursion.the food was good

but when you've paid lots of money to be in all Inclusive hotel it's really not good enough.

I will say that other places I have stayed at this price point comparing apples to apples the basic room at some other places the room was bigger and nicer.

THE ROOM/SUITE
We paid for a Honeymoon Suite.

So it works out quite an expensive night-

To us it didn't make sense to pay that fee, when you had pool service anyways and 2 restaurants right by the pool.

My only complaint with the dinner show was that the wine pairings are an extra cost and they don't tell you about it in advance its just sprung on you once you sit at the table and its an extra $50 USD per person.

but it was at another on the other resort we also didn’t get to enjoy the whole experience because the massage included extra things that the concierge told us weren’t included and we had to pay extra for but when we got to the spa they said it was included.

We booked this resort through RCI and received an invoice stating it was paid in full and it was what we needed to check in.

We have no issue with the cancellation, except that we paid for the cruise upfront.

The restaurants are very amazing and there’s lots of options.We will be back!

Food okay, grounds nice, could not find interesting entertainment.

The good- the resort grounds are beautiful, the food is good for the most part, majority of the staff are very nice and pleasant to deal with.

It was so relaxing, the resort was beautiful, the food was delicious.

There is constant upselling everywhere you go, from a day on a Bali bed to a steak dinner, We went for a steak dinner for approx.

The staff are incredible, the food and surroundings are second to none.

Every restaurant has a strict dress code.

The food was good and the staff were quite nice.

Food wise - breakfast buffet was only at cocotazal and the rest are Ala cart.

Good: room was nice, and the resort is in a beautiful jungle 

Bad: very very hard to find food, everything needs reservations, unless you pay extra.

Room service not great food, and inconsistent and they don't deliver any drinks

The main pool is like being in Benidorm with all the sunbeds on top of each other and the sunbeds were not comfy.

The cake at santa fe resturant was lovely!

Kampai, the Asian fusion restaurant and D'Italia (Italian) were spectacular for dinner.

Miguel in the Spot Bar - best cocktails ever!

The food at all of the restaurants are really good, small portions

And you can have a dance and karaoke in the evening aswell.

We have been to Mexico twice before and stayed at the El Dorada Seaside suites and Maroma which both of these hotels were excellent, great service and good quality food and great entertainment.

There is nightly entertainment that is always fun and plenty of things to do during the day if you so choose.

Entertainment is pretty much nonexistent at the resort

We were offered an opportunity to take the tour and receive a discount on an offered trip or the Fuentes dining show.

Il name a few really special staff that we met on our trip.

The shows were good- typical entertainment.

The facilities,staff, entertainment, food and grounds of the resort were amazing and really made it one of the best holidays we've had.
