Caveat: because I had kept my phone on airplane mode to avoid roaming charges, I couldn’t use “find my phone” nor did my phone show the “call me message” we programmed onto the Home Screen from my husband’s phone.

As a result they charged me $760 for an “additional person.” I’ve been sitting at Agave now for 30 mins.

Also we were told there were no charges on our room so did not look at the receipt

The hotel provided shuttle guy charged us 20 us dollars per person to get back to the hotel.

but they put a hold on my credit card for $750.00, which would be "refunded on checkout".

- Towels: You get 1 towel per person and have to return your "towel card" at the end of your stay or get charged $50.

-We were double charged for the excursion anyway.

Within 7 days when it didnt show up on my credit card, I contacted the hotel and they said to dispute the charge with my credit card.

but there were many hours that deserve credit as well!

I then disputed the charge with my credit card company and despite providing proof of the erroneous charge failed to get a refund.

but you don't have to worry when EMI and EIZABETH are in charge.

but please charge it to my hes and not my heart

you get a small plastic towel card at check in.

However the front desk charged me for the full 7 days, so an additional $294 was charged to my card for a day I did not use.

I was unimpressed that at check-in I was forced to give a credit card deposit of $329 which is still pending ..I've traveled to many hotels I've never been asked for a deposit.

even though we were the only ones there the young lady at the front desk said she didn’t know how to do it so we stood there for 25min because the guy who could help us was on the phone with a customer who was disputing a charge, I could hear the whole thing.

It’s better to trust your guests to share, remove the cards and just put fresh towels out every hour or similar.

Then, the resort blamed US for this error and almost charged us MORE (no apology or kindness during that entire situation).

No towel cards , so many people just left them on the loungers and walked away so you couldn't tell if they were still being used.

They took care of my family and friends anyway at no additional charge.

We actually walked to Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach along the shoreline.

We were looking forward to the walk/scramble over to divorce beach

although you can't swim at the beach at the resort, the kids loved walking the half mile down the beach to the rocks and climbing over them to Divorce Beach.

Plus we were able to walk from our beach to the arch, lovers beach and divorce beach.

We took a water taxi to Lovers Beach and walked round to Divorce beach.

The views are amazing of both the beach and the marina.

We went to the marina often for shopping and meals

Excellent show and  wonderful drone and firework display over the marina.

We were extremely fortunate to visit Sandos Finisterra in Dec. We have visited Sandos properties in Play Del Carmen yearly over the last 5 years and decided to give Finisterra a try.

Again, we went around the marina for drinks a few times, where you can get inexpensive

It is right across the street from the Marina, with lots of shopping, bar, excursion and restaurant options if you want to leave the resort.

A consideration not to be overlooked is you have direct and close access to everything on the marina and around.

The resort had unique architecture, was spotless, friendly staff, quiet location, close to Marina.

You can’t beat the location, we walked over to the marina everyday.

Walking down to the street and crossing to the marina is convenient.

The Spa Del Mar was beautiful and smelled amazing.

The marina right across the street is so convenient for excursions or just walking around..Loved everything about Sandos and will return without a doubt!

Great views of marina with morning latte from Cupcake and the ocean every afternoon from the pool and beach.

The food was great, the people and service was great, this is where you want to come to be around the marina and close to your resort.

Location:  great location, easy to find, easy to walk down to the marina, great view of both sides (ocean/marina).

Sandos Finisterra is in a great location - easy walk into town and the marina.

Almost every morning we used their gym and it was clean and had amazing views of the marina!

With part of the hotel built into the cliffs there are views of the marina on one side and ocean on the other.

It was a fairly easy walk into town and the view of the marina and ocean were great.

At night the views are spectacular, the outdoor lounge overlooking the marina at night was fantastic, a great place to enjoy drinks, entertainment and of course the views.

The views of the marina are amazing, the staff is always accomodating, friendly,  and responsive, and it's a great proximity to the Marina where you can walk off resort safely.

The location is beautiful with views of the Pacific and the marina.

From either side of the resort you have views of either the ocean or the marina.

The breakfast buffet was plentiful with lots of fresh choices and a great view of the marina.

We had a junior sweet with a view of the marina and a jetted tub in the center of the room.

The views of the Marina cannot be beat, and the property is just stunning!!

It overlooks the marina, which is a bustling place of activity of boats, people and cruise ships.

The plaza overlooks the marina and has the most incredible evening views!

Our room had the Marina view over the cupcake shop, and it waws perfect.

The view overlooking the marina is breathtaking and he made us feel super special remembering who we were and everything!

The Coffee and sweets shop was wonderful overlooking the Marina.

If you are looking for character and charm, excellent food and drinks, amazing coffee cupcake bar with views overlooking the marina.

The modern well-equipped gym was a welcomed surprise and has an amazing view of the marina.

Agave was great for lunch and Don Diego had a beautiful view of the Marina at breakfast buffet.

The hotel is built into the hillside cliffs and is beautiful; on one side you have the ocean and the other is the marina.

The staff was super friendly, helpful, efficient, informative and entertaining.

We loved this resort, it’s unique in its architecture and multi level 360 views, everywhere you look and anywhere you stay, it’s all stunning…the beach is quiet and mind-blowing beautiful with both sunrise and sunsets!!!

The view and atmosphere on the outside deck was very calming and tranquil.

Itzel gave the best massage ever, with the sound of the beach in the background.

The beach has yet to be given fully back by the sea,

The grounds are stunning, the accommodations beautiful, the location perfect (you can walk to the beach, marina and restaurants) and the staff is warm, welcoming and will stop at nothing to make your vacation the best ever!

While we appreciate the hard-working and friendly staff, the beautiful ocean, the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach, the spa, and the resort's location, it could improve in certain areas.

but are looking for good food, nice pools at a stunning beach location this is a safe bet.

I had a massage and reflexology treatment at a cabana on the beach.

Violeta and Manny helped us in so many ways with all of our dinner and beach excursions with such great advise and assistance.

The beach was very secluded with no vendors.

The walk to Waldorf Astoria was about 15 minutes along the beach.

The hotel is walking distance to the marina and Medano Beach.

LaRocca:  one of the best restaurants on the premise has an exquisite menu as well as setting facing the beach outdoors, shaded by a roof and cool breeze.

Recommend walking down the beach to Land’s End and checking out the beach coves there, which are shaded by the rocks in the morning.

Our fifth floor room provided the perfect perch to watch crashing waves slide along the coast.

The pools are wonderful (and so many to choose from) and I had a 110 minute massage from heaven one afternoon in one of the open air huts along the water with the sound of the waves crashing on the beach the only music necessary. Heaven.

Sitting in the pools and watching the waves crash on the beach was like starring into a camp fire. Mesmerizing!!!

ERNESTO came in second with his recommendations for both dinner choices and drinks; ABDIEL LOPEZ shared his thoughts for breakfast menus and was a delight to talk with.

No sunset has ever been as peaceful as the one i watched from the jacuzzi enjoying a delicious margarita.

We were met by very accommodating staff members who took care of our luggage while we checked in and were offered a yummy margarita while we waited in line.

Breakfast at either the sports bar or La Rocca.

Jaun, the main chef, and the servers/translators, were kind enough to explain every step and serve us a delicious meal!

Irving’s service at breakfast every day was superb!

The break fast was delicious specifically the avocado toast and plain French toast!

Breakfast at LaRoca is a lovely way to wake up in the morning.

The food was delicious - we loved the edamame in garlic as well as the sashimi.

A true local spot, called Compreste, has excellent chilaquiles and breakfast.

There were nearby rocks to hike and climb, and even a way to get to Divorce Beach/ Lovers Beach.

We snuck in a hike over rocks barefoot to divorce beach.

1 --  Its unmatched location a) on a beautiful 1-mile beach facing the Pacific that is 100% vendor-free and so uncrowded that it feels private, b) as the closest hotel to the famous Cabo arch, with walkability to Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach, and c) a 5-minute walk to the Cabo marina.

You’re at divorce beach, which also connects to lovers beach.

We enjoyed climbing the rocks to go to Lovers' Beach/Divorce Beach, which was just a short walk down the beach, and the food at the various restaurants on site was delicious.

This resort is located on the back side or Divorce Beach side of the Arch at Land's End.

They make the resort appear in poor condition and present safety hazards.

Managements restrictive rules and poor decisson making are established based on thoes who complain the loudest.

They placed us in a building on the opposite  side that had poor access to the kids pool.

The tv quality was so poor, there might as well have been no tv.

All criminals have their first crime no matter how clean their background was before they made a poor decision.

but the reality is that this is a poor excuse for a high end hotel.

We had such a poor time that we left three days early.

Unless you plan to drink every poor quality adult beverage you can possibly stand to consume and eat very ounce of average food with slow service possible don’t opt for the meal plan.

Pool is too dirty and the poor pool people cant keep up.

We ate off property a good bit because even after spending the $ for all inclusive, we had such poor service.

but one dinner , the Thursday Argentinian theme dinner was a bust with poor food and service.

This one lady, and I use that term loosely, Claudia just wouldn’t leave me and my poor wife alone.

but NEVER felt crowded or overbooked anywhere on property

My wife is a literature professor and I’m a cardiologist, we are not poor and should have paid more for the Waldorf or the JW Marriott.

They placed us in a building on the other side that had poor access to the kids pool.

We were joking in line when we checked in how we should all give poor reviews so that less people will come.

but the prices were only slightly cheaper and the quality poor.

The amount was small relative to two weeks expenses at the resort.

but the cost should be appropriate for the quality you are getting.

For what we paid for All Inclusive at Grand Solmar, there are other 5 star resorts in Mexico who blow this place out of the water service-wise.

It is starting to show its age in some rooms and I hear the wait staff is having a large turnover due to changes on the 'service fee' and tipping.

We were slightly taken aback for the prices for food and beverage at the resort, they are a little high

Very unaccommodating and for the price expected way more!

(For a pricing example chicken nachos are $22 and a cocktail is $15.)

When you pay so much to stay somewhere, you should be pampered.

Don’t add it into the guests to pay for it.

Las Brisas restaurant has a small menu, a bit pricey,

Prices around the resort have pretty much tripled and drinks are watered down.

By noon, it was already paid for and we are not heavy eaters or drinkers.

but considering the cost, I think they could use some updates.

Our housekeeper Mica is a precious gem - she made sure to pay attention to my habits and personalize what she left me for supplies and how she left the room.

Tip: When you travel to Cabo in February or March don't pay for the whale tour- sit poolside at Grand Solmar for you days long whale show! -Tanners

If you pay by CC, then your cost doubles or more! 6.

Con’s: Very hit or miss service ranging from good to downright disappointing; mediocre drinks, terrible check in experience, overall slow service poolside.

Check in was abit slow and our room wasn’t ready until after 5.

At times this was more apparent than others, resulting in slow to unresponsive service poolside, at restaurants, and bars.

I also found the service in general to be very slow, and there wasn't much indication on information on restaurants - it took us a few days to get our footing and learn where everything was.

In summary, if you like slow service with high prices that have been essentially aligned with U.S.  prices on substandard food then this is your place.

Service is slow at every turn, if you think something should take an hour plan on at least a half hour more you will need it.

Figure out a way to balance both, right now, I don’t see millennials being attracted to this hotel which means it will die a slow death in like 5 years.

but that's not the case for many and you'll be VERY frustrated with spotty wifi and even in your room, it's slow at best.

Concierge is lost, we needed their assistance several times and found their help to be slow and insufficient.

The only reason why I gave them a 4 was the overall sunset pool bar service was extremely slow and at times not attentive.

(If you rely upon the Internet for work that can be way too slow at times so bring what you can to boost connectivity or maybe check with the resort on any way to boost on site as we are going to do that the next time).

Would give it more stars if it wasn’t for the timeshare hard sell and extremely slow dinner service.

The grounds are impeccable, and the location is both stunning and secluded yet super convenient as we could easily walk into town.

The rooms are nice and spacious and have beautiful views.

They check on you throughout the day, from drinks, to food, to ensuring you have enough towels, and the right amount of shade/sun - they will make sure you have the most relaxing and peaceful day with a gorgeous view.

The resort is absolutely stunning, impeccably clean and the poolside views are breathtaking.

Beautiful, newer resort on the Pacific near the marina.

The view is the best view you can have to view the ocean.

Incredible ocean views, immaculate and well kept facility from top to bottom, and the customer service was incredible.

Loved our penthouse on the Pacific, you can tell it has been well taken care of.
