Lastly, eventhough  this is an all inclusive resort the workers DEFINITELY be fishing for those tips.

It was my first time in Cancún and at an all inclusive.

Cons: On top ofl the HIGH all-inclusive fee, you must shell out more $ for prime cabanas or lounge chairs with umbrellas at pool and on beach.

This time around my sister and I tried the Chef’s Plate which is a curated 6 course meal and isn’t part of the all-inclusive package.

The food is above average for an all inclusive hotels and the entertainment is the best thing.

Just for context, we have been to Mexico on 8 occasions both Cabo and Cancun and stayed at some nice resorts, Secrets, Live Aqua, Sun Palace etc.

We had previously stayed at the Hyatt Zivas in Cancun, Cabo and Montego Bay.

We haven’t been to a Hyatt resort since October 2020 (we went to the Ziva in cabo) and it seems the room service menu has been scaled back

We love Hyatt Ziva in Cabo San Lucas and expected our stay would be a good one here as well.

We have vacationed in the area, and to other areas in Mexico many, many times , (Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta), hands down, the Zilara will become your favorite as it does for all who stay there!!

The resort welcomed us in their beautiful lobby (if you have seen the movie Barb and Star Go To Vista Del Mar this is where it was filmed).

- LA CASA DEL CAFÉ: Opens at 6AM every day, I would wake up early and look forward to be greeted by José and Enrique, who made the most delicious coffee.

Enrique and Jose were amazing at the Casa Del Cafe.

Food - Punta Vista restaurant has the best food (mediterranean); Asiana was good as was Maria Marie; wish there was a different option at Chef's Plate for people who don't drink alcohol; Spice was mediocre; Casa Del Cafe was awesome,

Casa del Cafe is excellence made for fresh variety of Expresso and coffee, muffin, cookies and assorted cake, and my favourite high quality ice cream with variety of favour you can choose from.

We really enjoyed all the dia del los muertos decorations and celebrations.

Jose Luis & Enrique at Casa Del Cafe were so friendly and fun every time we stopped by for our after dinner coffee, huge shoutout for them for going above and beyond.

Very thankful to the staff at casa del caffe, Eduardo and Miguel at beach bar and all the staff, Janett and lobby bar staff, very thankful and  appreciation for housekeeping and greeting staff at spice.

We always grabbed coffee, ice cream and smoothies at Casa Del Cafe.

Marisol Alonso (Event Planning Coordinator), Jose' (Pepe) Hernandez (Fitness Instructor)  and Alina, Jesus, & Enrique, who services hundreds of guests in the delicious coffee shop Casa del Cafe.

Plus, fun fact, the Hyatt Zilara is where certain parts of the movie “Barb & Starr Go to Vista Del Mar” was filmed!

Shout out to Eduardo and Enrique at La Casa Del Cafe -  they are some of the friendliest professionals ever!

Enrique makes amazing coffee in Casa Del Cafe and always had an amazing attitude!

We took a yacht out with Martin Yachts that someone recommended on this page.

I insisted that we should not be charged and reluctantly they 'waived' the additional fee for us.

Which tells me they're probably not getting paid what they deserve.

They don’t provide them anymore and charge $12 USD for a metal straw.

The spa - They were running a promotion to get an 80 minute massage at the price for a 50 minute so I took advantage of it plus they added on Hydrotherapy treatment.

As I explained to him a bunch of people were upset they couldn’t sit in or by the pool unless they paid $80 for a cabana each day (which came with 2 loungers in the pool) As Mr.Rojas explained to me this money grab was put in place by previous management

There is also entertainment every day and night, with a range of shows and classes at no extra cost.

The only downsides of our stay were the terrible sales pitch on check in, super misleading and time wasting. He promised a three minute chat to provide us our welcome package, turned into a 15 minute guilt trip to sign up for a 90 minute sales pitch saying "he wouldn't get paid if we didn't attend."

The premium wine was a tab on the expensive side,

And far too many hidden fees, especially for things which should have been included (ex: a chair by the pool or on the beach, a seat to watch the nightly entertainment , etc. ).

Once those are taken, you either have to pay for a chair or cabana, or find a place to store your stuff.

but not if I could find something close to price.

He told me if I paid him I could sit there.

Little if any consideration for the guests unless you want to pay extra as in the seating around the pool and at the beach.

This is additional cost and is not cheap.

though it's an all inclusive, there are plenty of things they want you to pay an extra charge for so just stick to the normal menus and you'll be fine!

but the only way you could get a poolside chair is if you pay money for a cabana.

While there are upgraded dinner options, spa services and cabanas available, they are not high pressure sales.

The service was incredible and everyone was so kind.

I would like to thank all of the staff for their outstanding service.

More of your wonderful team impressed us: Cabana guys Ivan, Adrian and Sebastian, who called us by name and tried to offer a steak or seafood in lieu of the alcohol with the fourth cabana rental - we appreciated their service (and coconuts instead).

We also took advantage of their spa twice, which was so relaxing.

The hotel and grounds were kept impeccably clean and the amenities, eg: fitness center and classes and the spa were the icing on the cake.

We went to the spa- very unique & again staff are unbelievable.

I’d like to particularly commend Ivan, David, Isal, Sergio and Humberto in the bar & pool area, Martha in the spa and Ambassador team Ingrid, Ana, Monica, Paulina.

The spa experience was phenomenal and the beach was very well kept and pretty would definitely recommend a stay here.

Special kudos to some staffs who are really great asset to the team, Cesar Banron at Marie Marie, Nohemi at zen Spa, Abimael at the lounge space.

Gladys, Elisa, and Alejandro at the Zen spa made our time so relaxing.

So many dining options and the food here is the best I've had at any all inclusive and I am a bit of a food snob.

I would recommend a specially if you want to stay at an all inclusive and not leave the resort because there are many pools, beaches, and restaurants to choose from.

Everything that makes a
Great vacation is extra at this all inclusive so be prepared to drop another couple thousand dollars after the initial vacation booking to actually enjoy your stay and not be treated like a second class citizen.

This was a very beautiful all inclusive resort.

I always lower my expectations since its to be expected for a all inclusive resort to have lower tier food than the usual 4 or 5 star restaurants here in the states

I’ve stayed at the Hyatt Ziva’s in Punta Cana & Cabo and those resorts were better in my opinion.

We recently stayed at Hyatt Ziva Cabo and I had the pleasure of meeting Abraham, the bartender at Coco Loco by the big pool.

We love the Zivas and have been to Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, and Cap Cana so I’m happy to offer any comparisons or information.

We have been to numerous all-inclusive resorts in both Cancun and Cabo, Ziva by far was the best in service.

Our family has been to the Hyatt Ziva in Cabo twice and after the week in Cancun, both kids said Cancun was a better trip (even with the rainy weather).

The mac and cheese here was definitely better than the one I had at the Hyatt Ziva in Cabo.

We also vacationed at the Hyatt Ziva in Cabo a couple years ago.

Looking forward to trying the Hyatt all-inclusive resort in Cabo.

I love all inclusives — I’ve been to many in Cancun, Punta Cana and Cabo.

The beach is the best among the places we have been to, much better than Hyatt Ziva Cabo, Park Hyatt St. Kitt, Andaz Mayakoba, etc.

but we've been to both the Ziva Puerto Vallarta and Cabo, but this one might be our favorite.

But we keep coming back because it is a great way to introduce people to Mexico who are afraid of visiting Mexico before heading to another resort south of Cancun or in Cabo; it is consistent, modern and clean with lovely service and with something for everyone.

We like the Hyatt Ziva so much we have a winter trip booked at the Ziva in Cabo.

We have visited Cancun a few times and decided to try Ziva Cancun since we enjoyed Ziva Cabo so much.

I’m a fairly seasoned traveler (Cabo, Aruba, Turks and Caicos, St Lucia, Grand Cayman, St Thomas, and St John, several cruises, and Europe) and I often use TripAdvisor to find a resort or hotel.

The Turquoize at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun is by far the best all inclusive resort where I've stayed (including Le Blanc in Cabo this past February and 3 other resorts in the Riviera Maya).

We've been to other All Inclusives in Cancun, Playa Del Carmen and Cabo.

Casa del Café had amazing coffee, I went there almost 4 times a day🤣 Tradewinds had very good fruit.

but all the restaurants really .wonderful service and  shout outs to all the people who made the stay memorable .Zacharias at check in ,Jose Mercado buffet,Mitchell Moon Gate ,Grecia and Jorge Habaneros,Javier and Leydi La Bastille,Alejandro Italian,Jeshua Chevys,Jesus Casa Del Cafe,Leonardo Tradewinds,Eric Bar Saasil (Loved the Majenta  drink suggestion) Want to and will come back.

Lastly, I will like to mention our server Abel from Bar Del Mar.

but shout out to Oliver at Bar Del Mar, Ricardo and Julien and Habeneros and the Mercado, and Jesus at Moongate for being super amicable and incredibly friendly.

Anaid in casa del cafe greeted us with a smile and our coffee order by memory every morning.

You can snorkel right off the beach and even catch some sting rays!

Ricardo Del Callejo was very knowledgeable about lighting and perfectly timed my shots.

Jesus Del Angel Campos, Karla Padua, Monica Meja, VictorAguilar Gaul, Maria Torres Padua, Victor from Mercados and so many more are such amazing kind hearted people that we are blessed to have as part of our extended family at Ziva.

The resort offers jet skis by time or jet ski tours to isla mujeres or even a yacht for rental purposes!

We enjoyed a pristine beach free of seaweed, and full of fish, starfish, hermit crabs at dusk, and even a small ray.

Our favorite place to hang out in the day was at the quieter Bar Del Mar pool area to the rear of the resort where Elidio, Carlos and Santiago were exceptional servers.. thank you guys!

For a resort this expensive, we expected a higher quality of food.

Don't recall when some many people paid attention to me and actually acted like they enjoyed do it.

The pool is not heated no hot tubs outside only in the spa and you have to pay.

We paid US$1000+ for a double bed room (2 adults and 2 small kids).

So you're paying 800 USD a night and the resort skimps out on things like this.

However, the price increase is excessive, and guests will no longer be able to afford it.

Serious renovation needed to bring it up to 2023 especially given brand new properties for similar prices in the Cancun hotel area.

We were not at the hotel for 30 seconds before we were being pushed into something that cost more money or time- an experience that persisted throughout the entire stay.

Refusing to pay for an alleged infraction we did not commit, he gave us 30 minutes to vacate the premises.

Everyone I talked to was very rude and unhelpful and this experience cost me $100.

I don't want to pay for it so i disputed the charge and am waiting for the credit before the card paymemt due.

They did not accept Apple Pay, so my new Hyatt Chase card with a $95 fee was of little use and we lost a potential 4-5 nights or about 25,000 points.

But you get get much better prices somewhere else.

There are not many flights coming back to San Francisco from Cancun and it's expensive, so I can't use it often,

The most glaring issue is the massive over abundance of paid cabanas.

It’s a little pricey because the dollar vs peso

However we were disappointed that there was no spirits in the room, at this price point and standard it was a let down, you have to upgrade rooms to get spirits.

The room keys are cards which is not very convenient, other hotels provide bracelets that work as key, in this one you have to pay if you want a bracelet.

We stay in the turquoise tower and would expect more for what we pay to stay here.

The presentation to the service and the options available were a dream.

but would recommend a beach cabana for the service and great views of the ocean!

However what I wasn’t aware of is that they wanted me to lie in their customer service survey and say that everything was good during my stay.

Overall, all the service was good and the trip was satisfying.

I booked this property through a third party service 

Pros include outstanding service from top to bottom, cleanliness, fully stocked rooms, gorgeous ocean views, food/snacks available all day, volleyball nets/tournies.
