 - We ended up at the buffet afterwards to eat after almost all of these speciality restaurants.
 - Facial tattoos are welcome 👊👊👊 Towel cards will get you exactly 1 towel, no privacy in the bathroom, buffet for breakfast and lunch, it's literally spring break for old people.
 - The food is absolutely terrible with the best meals being the breakfast buffet and the tacos by the pool.
 - The breakfast and lunch buffets always had plenty of variety and the waitstaff were incredibly attentive.
 - The restaurants and buffets are delicious and the nightly entertainment is fun!

 - We spent some time at both the Santa Fe and Baja California (but preferred our place at the palace).
 - If this is the "classy" resort compared to the Santa Fe next door, then the bar must be really low.
 - Santa Fe was a little crazy (like spring break gone wild) Baja was nice and quiet, Riu Palace Cabo was a perfect balance of fun in the sun.
 - As a Riu Palace guest, you have access to the other two sister resorts, Santa Fe and Baja California.
 - We had an amazing time I have stayed at the Santa Fe next door 3 times.

 - There was a musty smell that lingered
 - We ate at all of the specialty restaurants and with the exception of Medano Steakhouse, the majority of the seafood was often inedible and clearly rotten, as denoted by a terrible fishy odor.
 - Walls need paint refreshed and/or wiped down, bathroom could definitely use some cleaning - there was dust/dirt in the corners of the floors and doorways, mold in the corners of the shower floor/wall and urine around the toilet seat hinges.
 - Website clearly says mask mandatory public areas , GYM signs say the same.
 - It was clean, dark, old and musty.

 - The beach was beautiful
 - We took a boat from the edge of the Riu hotels on the beach out to the arch.
 - The coffee bar overlooking the bay watching the sun rise is awesome.
 - There are beach and pool activities going on all day long with the RIUFIT staff.
 - The RIU Palace is the oldest of three RIU resorts on this strip of beach near Cabo with almost all of the rooms having ocean views since the hotel is spread across the beach unlike the other RIU resorts.

 - but you get much more than you paid for at this resort.
 - Nobody at the front desk couldn;t make a desicion other than pay for each kid, which price was insane expensive.
 - San Jose is normally quiet at night time and calm in the afternoons, taxi to Los cabos is a little expensive.
 - but at $32, the price seemed very high.
 - You could pay more (a lot more)

 - Mau, the bartender at the rooftop pool was the best!
 - There was also a great rooftop pool.
 - The rooftop pool is a fair size.
 - We love the rooftop pool: 12M long pool makes for great swimming.
 - There is a rooftop pool and hot tub, as well as a gym which was a great spot to watch the sunrise and the whales breaching out in the bay.

 - There is a full service bar and any of the restaurants in the plaza below will deliver food either to your room, or to the pool area.
 - It’s walking distance to a food court.
 - Mau at the breakfast was amazing, staff is great, fully recommend it, food court just next to the Hotel is great with different choices of food to taste and very affordable.
 - Breakfast- it’s the same food every day.
 - Having El Merkado right next door is also convenient for lunch & dinner.

 - For a period of time, the hotel pool was completely closed, and there had been significant flooding and moisture in different parts of the hotel.
 - but their pool was closed as of last week.
 - but with COVID, we are kind of used to things being closed.
 - I unpacked and got dressed to swim and the pool was closed I was mad
 - However, it was closed due to the pandemic.

 - We frequent Cabo offer and usually rent a car and stay at nearby condo.
 - We arrange our rental car in advance with MEX.
 - Be prepared to Uber or get a rental car.
 - The hotel is about halfway between the airport and the marina/Medena beach area so if you rent a car you will be able to get to shopping and the beach in about 10-15 minutes.
 - Most excursions will pick you up from the hotel, which is great for those without a rental car.

 - It’s a central location for accessing the beaches by car (not walking distance).
 - The mini kitchen was nice as we liked to pack our own lunches to bring to beach.
 - very nice staff hotel cleanliness was superb, lack of amenities was its downfall and to far from beaches to walk to , would be ok for business users
 - If you want to come to Cabo and not pay hotel on the beach prices, this hotel is a good option!
 - Las Palmillas Beach is close by and had some great snorkelling and good change rooms.

 - We also love the proximity of the beaches, our favorite being Vuidus and Santa Maria.
 - We had a rental car so found Playa Santa Maria to be an excellent beach option.
 - This hotel is right in the center of the best beaches along the strip, Playa Padilla, Santa Maria, Chileno.

 - Any issues to do with mould that had been present in a few areas have been completely addressed.
 - Raw Sewage Smell!
 - but the room I was put on smell of cigarette smoke.
 - Unfortunately, toxic black mold throughout property caused major health complications after release from hospital and had to leave after difficulty breathing, sneezing, and coughing.
 - but they have not done a single thing about the black mold growing on the ceiling and we have been sick from it .

 - Uber is half the cost of a taxi or less.
 - The front desk arranged a taxi (was like a private car) back to the airport for $45.
 - Without them there --- I probably would have missed my tour on 9/26/19 and would have ended up paying for my own taxi fare to the timeshare presentation on 9/27/19.
 - $30/person for shuttle to/ from airport, $55 for taxi going in to Cabo from hotel.
 - I was without a car so I would be relying on taxis or public transportation.
