For a moderate to higher priced all inclusive I did not have high expectations of food quality.

Puerto Vallarta has so many fabulous restaurants it's one place we prefer to not be all-inclusive.

We really enjoyed the all inclusive part about the resort, drinks and food any time.

3) Poolside entertainment is some of the best I've seen at an AI.

but that you can get an any all inclusive.

The staff and entertainment offerings were excellent and the food was outstanding for an all inclusive resort.

The 3 we did eat at- Pureza, Italian and Blaze, were some of the best restaurants I've been to at any AI.

My first all-inclusive and I was not disappointed at all.

We've never been to an all inclusive so we didn't know what to expect.

The all inclusive resort food was pretty bland and average at best each day.

Of course the location is a 10/10, can’t beat the private beautiful beach.

Having the felling of a private beach in a cove was nice as well.

The beach was the highlight of the trip - very swimmable and gorgeous at all times of the day and the most amazing sunsets.

The location is great because it’s close to old town and the beach is private.

The beach was beautiful and pretty well maintained for cleanliness.

We’ve stayed at Hyatt Ziva Montego Bay and Punta Cana before.

But the highlight was the Movie and dinner at the beach experience.

We stayed here almost every year pre-Covid and I loved the clean, private beach and laid back vibe of the resort.

The Beach at the hotel is private an amazing, the Hotel has good food and a lot of options, The Staff is very helpull, The Spa is amazing, great people all over the place

Missing some things for accesibility, the ramps are too steep for a wheelchair,  and some places are difficult to get there in a wheelchair, bit everything else was great

The pool is Ok

Great secluded beach surrounded by mountains and jungle.

The view, the beach and the hotel facilities are excellent.

You are truly living beachfront and get access to basically a private beach.

Relaxing, beautiful beach, with big waves on some days.

I would also note that the shore break and tide seems to be really strong on the private beach the hotel sits on.

The beach is beautiful, pools are nice, very secluded from the PV public beach scene.

Food, entertainment, property, beach were all fantastic.

In all the restaurants, on the beach, loud music.

but due to the construction we requested a change and we were given a regular room.

Yes, there is construction and a much-needed upgrade,

Ziva had a number of construction projects happening which shows Hyatt is reinvesting to maintain standards.

BUT the construction was absolutely awful!!

but the construction was not bothering us.

From the construction we had a smoke and gas smell coming thru our room and complained to management,

Do not come here especially until the construction is done!! !

Construction - every review on here about the construction going on is 100% accurate.

There was construction going on, so there was some noise from that all day and night,

- So much construction that was not disclosed on website or even mentioned during check-in.

The construction was impactful on the stay.

We were all disappointed to find out upon arrival that the Tower we paid extra for and booked, was under construction.

but there's multiple area under construction except the beach good location to escape the noise.

Family vacation during Thanksgiving and we were disappointed to find construction going on during our stay.They are renovating the rooms in one of the towers which resulted in loud noises during the day.

While we were confined to our rooms with sick family members, we were subjected to the constant noise of jackhammers and other construction sounds.

My wife and I work in the service industry and this was a big financial trip for us and real treat after a long summer serving tables--it would be greatly appreciated if we felt like there was something that could be done to make up for our stay being so disrupted by major unknown construction.

Even after construction is finished, there needs to be some serious improvements to the air conditioning and food.

The only downside during our particular visit is that construction was going on nearly round the clock.

Got a massage this morning from Maria which was amazing then spent the day at the beach having drinks served by the great Arturo!

I got massages from Amalia and Maria and both were incredible.

Also had hair and makeup done in the salon with Maria--She also attended me at the spa for a massage on another day.

Our massages were incredible with Maria and Rosie.

Now it is only an hour prior or after. All of us had massages while there and cannot say enough good things about Maria, Amelia and Mary de Jesus (?)

Nice to see same vendors - I always buy jewelry from Maria, and sunglassses/hats from Vincente.

I had one of the best massages at the spa with Maria and the whole atmosphere was beautiful.

I've bought jewelry for 12 years from Maria - she is the best.

Spa: Maria, Maria de Jesus, Yosaur and one other massage lady(name?).

Alex, Jimmy, Maria Lou, and Andres kept us and our kids entertained.

In particular Rosendo and Maria in Vivaz restaurant , the buffet, they were amazing.

Shoutout to Marilu, Edgar, Sergio, Fredy and of course, Maria!!!

Griselda and Maria made sure our room was always kept clean and Mariza in the bar of the club tower was great.

If you were truly waiting for Maria to get on shift so you can order from her, you need to go to AA.

Firstly, the location is awesome - close to downtown and yet very private.

The sliding doors to our deck with the ocean views was beautiful, I enjoyed staying on the 11th floor it made it more private from the music below.

but the set up with private terrace with a pool is great.

Beach was amazing, plenty of space, not crowed and private to the resort.

The  private beach was great, and the view couldn't be beat.

I loved that this resort felt private, safe, is really quiet, had fun family activities, and overall had a relaxing vibe.

Love the fact they had a private beach though!!!

We'll be returning and I highly reccomend Hyatt Ziva in Puerto Vallarta to anyone wanting to experience the beautiful local culture on virtually a private beach that's just a 10min uber ride from all the adventures town has to offer.

We booked the swim up rooms hoping to be able to enjoy the same patio outside the rooms, leading into the private pools.

Best private beach exclusive to Hyatt Ziva guest was awesome.

We enjoyed the daytime and evening activities, and the food was excellent!

but the restaurants were great - especially PUREZA and CASA GRANDE.

It was a perfect combination of meats and seafood and not too spicy.

Tacos from room service were the best on the property.

Food was amazing and our trip overall was perfect!

When you go to an all inclusive, you generally expect mediocre food

This place is really great, food is amazing and the people goes far and beyond.

but the food and dining experience is also fabulous!

The food was good except for the Asian restaurant which I did not like at all.

The pool activities, the exercise and the Christmas program with Santa and his elves was amazing.

It was Spring Break/Semana Santa so the hotel was booked to capacity; to get a good lounger by the pool you had to snag one by 9am

The resort took extra efforts to make Christmas a special occasion for all - with an amazing outdoor buffet, and visit from Santa and seasonal kids activities.

Special shout out to the entertainment team Fernanda, Brenda, George, Johana for making our days even more fun!!

They have lots of fun shows and entertainment now in the evenings and elevated dining experiences.

Overall the hotel staff, restaurants, food and entertainment were all great.

But what really stood out was the warm, friendly, and always helpful staff and the great entertainment team.

Efrain, Alejandro, Jorge, the front bell people, all of the wait staff, the pool entertainment everybody!!!

Staff, food, drinks, entertainment and service was top notch!

Entertainment at the pool is fun and loud which was fine.

The entertainment team is great and the pools are also fantastic.

Their entertainment is held at a sports bar or another bar on site.

There always seemed to be activities of some sort throughout the day, and the entertainment was quite good.

It was entertaining while also being quite and relaxing.

We loved the addition of the daytime parties and dancers in the pool, that was really fun.

!…they are really great, especially the dancers In and around the pool!

Excellent service, the entertainment team was fantastic specially Jorge and Johana, there are several restaurants to choose Delia and Soledad were very polite , the bar service is one of the best so many options Miguel is the #1 bar tender.

It was my wife’s birthday and Mexicos independence celebration so they grabbed her onto the stage to dance with the dancers.

The hotel had entertainment throughout the day and evening which added to the experience!

The living room couch had visible “water” stains and the entire space had a moldy smell.

The pervasive smell of new paint was unpleasant, and the fact that these renovations were not disclosed at the time of booking only added to the frustration. I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience."

The room had a musty smell, and the ac wouldn't keep the room cool.

The pervasive smell of nail polish remover due to ongoing construction was unbearable, and despite our complaints, the manager remained unresponsive.

TERRIBLE time to visit because of noise and paint smells.

The were drinking, laughing, playing loud music, smoking, etc.

Door card stopped working twice (long walk to the reception desk to get reprogrammed) food was absolutely disgusting at all restaurants/buffets.

Drinks taste better, the tequila doesn't have that smoke aftertaste (even the non-mescal tequila at Iberostar tastes terrible).

We had one room out of 5 (tried both towers) that smelled terrible.

however if you are a smoker, I would think twice before booking as you have to go way out into the parking lot (still very safe though) to have a smoke, and there are only 2 spots anyways.

The rooms were not real clean and the elevators were disgusting.

They put rubber sheets on the bed which makes it noisy and makes you sweat.

The food at this resort was always cold and stale, horrible quality and we were forced to go out to eat

When the tides  wash in seaweed or other debris, the workers are out first thing in the morning  raking it away, (Didn't see it this year,

My kids didn’t even want to eat the fries because they were disgusting.

The one thing that bothered me the most was a couple in the adult hot tub smoking and no one did anything about it.

Once you arrive, you are greeted with the friendly staff.

Beautiful personalities surround this place and they are all so helpful.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Staff was excellent and they were very attentive.

Fernando was our waiter by the pool and also was fast and efficient.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

BUT we'll be back because of the staff and their attention to every single guest.

The property did feel safe and the staff was very kind.

The staff was very helpful and courteous as always from top to bottom.

But mostly the service was efficient and hospitable.

All the staff were warm and friendly as well as very helpful.

This resort was so fun and amazing, great food, quick service, everything is writhing close proximity, staff is great.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom Room on the beach with Presidential services and were never disappointed.

There isn’t really a traditional beach area with ocean access.

The massages on the beach were relaxing and amazing.

The beach- hundreds of ugly wave breakers.

And if you are a beach person well the beach isn't very good at this resort and the beach isn't Swimmable.

They stretch the entire length of the beach and are very unsightly.

These were miles of white sand, loads of fish and a beautiful pier that extended into the sea.

Restaurants are very nice, beach is beautiful, and grounds are expansive and gorgeous.

Gerado at breakfast, Jose  and Sinuhe at the beach  were excellent and Enrique at the lobby bar.

Here, we experienced an exceptional service by the Beach Butler Guillermo Pucheta, who went over and beyond to create a special experience for us.

butlers in the member section of the beach were awesome, Singeah, Guillermo, Gabriel and Omar made sure we had everything we needed.

The beach is rough (due to a 2005 hurricane),

We played beach volleyball and pool sports.

but the beaches are very rocky and treacherous in most areas.

Sadly we were very disappointed this time, so sad as it’s a great hotel with a wonderful beach and location.

Gabo and Guerllmo at the Exotic members beach area - the best and attentive to our needs - which again, were not much !

The facilities are amazing, we loved the Beds on the beach, the swim up bars etc, it’s a full on party atmosphere so if your from Texas and you want a full on four day pool party with foam then this is it.

The grounds are well kept and maintained, as is the beach,

The greatest asset that the resort has got is its staff, our Butlers, Drew, and Elizabeth, gave such great service, as did our Concierge Ruth, Beth, and Angie.

We met Maria on checking in and decided to upgrade our room upon check in.

Carlos, Luis, Abraham, Maria, Benjamin, Gabo, Jaidy were all really good activity leaders.

Thanks Mimi for the bike tour and taking us around to see the sea turtle sanctuary, Sky Roof at Generations and the lake where "Maria" the local resident crocodile resides.

The good news:  The following management and staff members did everything they could to fix things and make the best of a poor experience  Alfonso, Hugo and Maria Jose, Butlers Alvaro and Israel worked hard try and set things right.

Maria - our housekeeper worked efficiently and did a great job keeping our room clean.

Our concierge Karen and Maria Jose were so lovely and helpful.

Take advantage of the bike tour with Jossey to see behind the scenes of the entire property to see Maria their pet Croccodile.

If you manage to get a reservation and miss it you will be fined $100 USD.

Some a la carte servings were quite small and there was a lot of menu options not included in the all inclusive package meaning that you needed to pay additional charges for some items.

The taxi from the hotel is 65.00 USD and last

Taxes - there are additional costs outside of booking the hotel from the Mexican government so you have to pay a resort fee tax and a sanitation tax.

Food was mediocre at best except for Fuentes that we paid $100/pp extra.

I have to say that this hotel is not a luxury hotel and is not worth the money we paid.

As I have said this is 5th time Mexico most expensive hotel and by miles the worst, we read reviews ect before booking and our take on it is a lot of Americans come back and love it

Overall for the price we paid over £2000 each we shouldn't have to pay for extras like the sauna or some of the other resturants like fuentes wasn't included.

I’m disappointed the beach is not nice no swimming no snorkeling unless you pay for an excursion.the food was good

but when you've paid lots of money to be in all Inclusive hotel it's really not good enough.

I will say that other places I have stayed at this price point comparing apples to apples the basic room at some other places the room was bigger and nicer.

THE ROOM/SUITE
We paid for a Honeymoon Suite.

So it works out quite an expensive night-

To us it didn't make sense to pay that fee, when you had pool service anyways and 2 restaurants right by the pool.

My only complaint with the dinner show was that the wine pairings are an extra cost and they don't tell you about it in advance its just sprung on you once you sit at the table and its an extra $50 USD per person.
