Pueblo Bonito Sunset feels much different from other all inclusive resorts I’ve stayed at in Mexico.

It’s our first time here and Janeth had explained what “all inclusive” means.

Choosing all-inclusive was a plus, so we did not have to worry about food and drink.

We took the all inclusive package with the executive suite.

This is an all-inclusive resort which makes it easy to bring children and grandchildren there for a vacation - since food is available 24/7.

Food was above average comparing to 10+ all inclusive resorts that I’ve been too.

Didn’t do all inclusive - since we were doing stuff away all week, that made sense.

2 weeks at Sunset (4 days at Rose) - All inclusive - Premium Plan-4 people for us - Friend and family of 20  
Rose : Everything was as expected .

Initially apprehensive with the all inclusive concept and cost of the all inclusive.

though best of all bars everywhere and easy to use all inclusive arm bracelets to access our account.

We would always stop at The Market and grab a bottled water each to take with us (WE PURCHASED THE DELUXE ALL-INCLUSIVE PLAN).

We had the all inclusive food option and our meals were excellent.

The word to the wise- make sure you look what the all inclusive- includes.

Every purchase of inclusive food or drink requires an electronic bill be presented to you twice which you have to tap for.

There is also an up charge for a lot of things even with the all inclusive plan.

Our all inclusive bracelet wasn’t working and he told us it was fine instead of believing us.

We came to the all inclusive resort for a family wedding November 12th 2023.

You can catch a ride to Rose and use the beach there, for free, and still all inclusive.

We had all inclusive and the food was not good.

He took great care of us at the pool, and was super knowledgeable about the resort; so much so I told him if he ever comes to my city that we’d take him out to dinner!

Eduardo took great care of us at the pool all day, refilling our drinks without even having to flag him down.

They always made sure we were well taken care of and we will definitely be coming back to visit in the future and asking for these two!

Riber at the Main Pool is an amazing server and took phenomenal care of our family of nine.

Before our week was over we went to Pacifica where our visits all began years ago~ Yami took care of us at the pool and our crazy situation with my husband being in a cast with made things challenging

Lastly our room attendant Alma Bello did a great job of taking care of our every need she was truly wonderful!

We always tell everyone around us to take care of Paul!

The food was amazing and we were taken care of, we love this resort and will be back!

BIG special shout out to Ulises at the Market who took special care of our 12 year old son who is celiac.

The service is top notch, Parliett at the pool took such great care of us.

They made our trip a great experience and made sure we were taken care of.

Special thanks to Ignacio at the main pool who took care of us like we were family,  Arizbeth at the sky pool who made sure we had anything we needed, and Levisen at the lobby bar who made us feel like locals!

Michelle, Jesus, Omar, Pablo, and the rest of the team at the pool bar next to building 31 took the best care of us.

We had a large group of five families with kids at the Sky Pool and Jack took very good care of us.

Paul at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach took amazing care of us at our ocean side cabana.

We visited almost all the pools and the Golf club as well.

Don’t ask for club soda in some of the bars as they don’t serve it everywhere.

Food had mosquito in club sandwich which they brought covered.

The dance club, the FOOD, there were so many amenities and things to do!

Two more tips: take a van from the main lobby to Quivira one morning for breakfast at the Golf Club, and then another day take the van up the hill to Montecristo eat on their balcony - fabulous food and view without the crowds!

There was also a fight at the sky club that took hours to resolve.

Christian is one of the best, most handsome servers at the 1950s club!!

The kids went out to the Market and Club area at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset.

The reservation restaurants were really good and unforgettable especially the golf club steak meal and the Mexican/Mediterranean restaurant at the Pacifica

We love spending our time at Montecristo Estates with their amazing staff (Felix, Oswaldo, Jared, Julian, Jorge, Ana) plus the golf club is an absolutely amazing place to have breakfast and dinner.

Highly recommend nachos, shrimp ceviche, and club sandwich.

They even gave us “extra weeks” with Pueblo Bonito Travel Club which you find out later is not affiliated with  Pueblo Bonito,

The After is the bar that turns into a club vibe after 9 pm.

You can enjoy a quiet laid-back day at the adult-only pool, frolic with families at the kids pool, or experience the party atmosphere at the Sky Pool or The After, an adult only night club.

The kids club was a wonderful feature that helped make our stay more enjoyable.

but I was ok as long as there is a kids club.

The waiters at the main pool and Gladys have always treated us like family and of course Alex who is a wonderful trainer at the health club.

I assumed the $50 credit was applied asap and we spent that at the arcade with my child the next day.

We asked for a room change and were accommodated and given a $100 room credit.

Make sure to bring the towel card to get the towel and return after use to get the card back.

I would like to see more activities like this - the card games by pool could be done more frequently during the day.

My bill and I paid the remaining balance.

but after traveling home and looking through my credit card charges I noticed that I did not receive my refund for the room charge.

While the cuisine was delectable, the term "all-inclusive" felt misleading, as charges abounded throughout the resort.

We were also sold a contract at a rate that is not the rate they are charging us for our room reservations.

They force you to charge it to your room and won’t let you pay cash.

However, beware of the $400 room credit they offer for the timeshare presentation.

but beware that if you want something other than standard beverages or food you will receive an 
up charge.

Very low class hotel only focused on charging weddings and no focus anymore on providing excellent top hotel experience.

I inquired to the spa since they give you a $50 credit, a one hour massage is $226 which I did not do.

There were up charges for certain items, which threw me off a bit since they were pretty basic, like lattes.

After the hurricane hit we were left with no power, no ac, leaks in the room and some even had no running water. When we checked out we asked for credit to come to the resort in the near future and the lady at the concierge desk asked "WHY?"

He stated that they did not do credit card transactions, would accept $20 cash that would pay for the shuttle service to and from their resort.

However the golf cart rides were frequently time consuming and unreliable- sometimes they would show up in 2 minutes and we’d have to rush out, other times they’d arrive 25 minutes later (which made us late for our dinner reservations that charges money for no shows).

I had no trouble getting towels at the pool with no towel card.

and half the "included" restaurants required an additional charge from $35 to $50 per person.

They do have golf carts that take you around,

Ruben Yanez was the golf cart driver we had almost all the time because we were in the 40s which is far.

Too much waiting around for golf carts, too many ppl for pools.

They have golf carts taking you anywhere on the property you want.

Golf cart:
People use the golf cart to go around the hotel.

Also arranged golf cart with Cabo Golf cart which was a game changer for us and will do again.

They also provide golf cart service to transport the guests from their habitat to the eateries.

Leonardo Cruz was very helpful with our golf request and has been a friend for many years.

The rooms are beautiful and the decor of the hotel is stunning.we loved the golf carts taking us all around, super convenient.

He drove us around the resort in the golf cart.

Love the area in Cabo - we rent a car so it's easy to get to town or the golf courses and the restaurants.

My husband and I go to Sunset Beach every year, and the first thing we do upon arrival is call for Ramiro Escalon to take us to our room in his golf cart.

While some folks enjoy the walking/hiking opportunities on their extensive grounds, there is a fleet of golf cart-type shuttle vehicles ever ready to move guests around (for older guests like my wife and me).

If you don’t want to walk the hilly property, you can call a golf cart to pick you up.

The place is so large that you're going to have to take golf carts to get to places eventually.

The resort, touted as a golf destination, failed to mention the three-month wait for golf reservations, a critical detail undisclosed during our booking.

The beautifully-maintained landscaping, pools and golf course is something to behold.

-We mostly ate at the Bistro Restaurant (breakfast with a view on the patio was beautiful) and Market, food was great.

Jesus at the market was so good to us the whole time our family stayed at the resort.

David and Isabel were absolutely amazing in the market serving us and always making a very fun experience for all of us!!!

Ate at market and sat in room for new year’s instead.

We had such amazing food here - especially at the Market (love all of the choices) and the Chinese restaurant.

Walking to the main street takes us to the Market.

Ricardo H., Angelica & Jose Angel at the Market bar were always attentive and happy to make sure we were happy!

We ate at the market at Pueblo Bonito and our server was Jesus.

You won’t regret finding Gilberto when you head to the Market.

The market is great for quick food and snacks, gelato is a must.

Bistro restaurant and Tazuna sushi were very good, and the Market is great

Ulises Serna at the Market was excellent and patiently humored my attempts at Spanish (he should get credit for his teaching.

Restaurants : Tazuna : great /  Lanao : Great at morning and night
Market : no more pistachio ice cream (its was an iconic one) .

Dinner in Market food at Mexican was really good

The market is a must experience and room service was included (which is not always the case) We choose the all inclusive option and glad we did.

The food was better than the market and the bistro.

We had to call for towels when there were absolutely non in the room.

We had tried several times to call and email for resos in advance (they said no problem do at check in) for the New Year’s party and dinner

We were asked to call back later and fortunately, we were switched to building 15 on the third floor after two days.

Management call room 1843 to rectify this situation.

I didn't bother calling about it because I just don't think they will do anything.

Attended this resort for a wedding - i received my final bill and it appears wrong - despite phone calls - emails - no answer or contact from anyone at the resort - really poor - it's not the amount it is the lack of communication on their behalf

Other problems:

*A large tarantula appeared in our room the last night 
*No air conditioning or hot water the last day
*Could not get towels sent to the room after 2 calls to housekeeping when we were shorted.

Woke up to the ceiling in our room leaking and literally watching globs of drywall hit the floor, and it was never fixed despite days of calling the front desk to ask for help.

The phone in our room didn't work and wasn't fixed until week 2.

An hour later and no call and no knock on the door, I made another call.

but it was not what I would call an upgrade.

I will not be returning and will look to find another hotel to call home in Cabo.

cant go back again to this resort, i buy insurance in case of any event and nowone his responsable

We had to call a couple of days later for our a/c and power to be restored.

We’ve exchanged our points at RCI for a two week stay at this resort 
The first week it took 6 phone calls and 4 days to fix a broken AC - we could not sleep at all and then another 3 days to fix the second AC that was leaking.

I called Saturday (the morning the hurricane hit land), and was told regarding a variety of topics “we’re putting a plan together, call back later and we hope we’ll have an update.”  When asked about availability of food for our 2-year old, we received a condescending response that all guests were told the day prior to “stock up” on supplies.

Our refrigerator has not been working… after 7 calls and two visits by maintenance… we finally got a different one… After everyone was asleep.

We spent way too many hours on the phone or waiting for someone to show up in the room with problems:  no smoke detector, bedroom fan had no switch to adjust it, tiles broken on jacuzzi tub, lights bulbs taped back in place,.

With hindsight, I’d rather pay a few hundred extra per night and stay somewhere else.

The premium plan is useless because nobody will tell you what drink you can get with a premium plan .

We have paid way too much money to be sitting at the edge of pools.

This year we opted to not purchase the all inclusive and despite the overpriced food items ate for less than half of the cost of two adults for our two week stay.

but the quality is just not there for the cost.

Having paid everything in advance and having a medical emergency (hospitalized); needed to cancel the prepaid trip ahead of time (within the timeframe of limits), it has been more than 30 days and can't get anything out of customer service except "it's been processed".

*In-room breakfast was cold and tasteless 
*Several newer up-charges to the already pricey “all-inclusive” option versus prior visit
*Consistently asked to attend sales presentations

Although the restaurants had very nice decor, we found the food expensive and sub-par.

Again, just pay $20 for a cab v waiting for shuttles.

Prices now make it “seem” like you should pay $150 per person per day to go to all-inclusive upgrade because of prices you’d pay a la carte.

You have to pay $100 for the credit and then if you for some reason don't give them the paper certificate when you leave, no one will help you and then you're on the hook for whatever you spent because you thought you had a credit.

The food was not very good and really expensive if you do not do all inclusive.

I got horrible FOOD POSIONING  and a BACTERIAL INFECTION and had to see the resort doctor at my own expense along with paying for 3 prescriptions and many bottles of electrolytes (not covered by all inclusive).

Then yesterday I attempted to roll over my weeks to the next year and had to pay $100 each to do so.

but it costs 2x an Uber and of course is owned by Pueblo Bonito (lol).

I highly recommend Quivira Steakhouse for a nice steak dinner and wine or drinks.

Quivira clubhouse and Sandbar on the beach for great breakfasts and Cilantros for a beachside dinner.

Pools:
Beautiful well maintained, temperature was excellent 

Food:
As always superb our favorites Tazuna and Quivira Steakhouse food and services top notch.

Just earlier this evening, a gentleman named Gilberto at The Market at Quivira not only remembered us and our drink orders from before,

We really enjoyed La Frida , Bistro , Quivira Steakhouse and the Sunday brunch was fantastic!

The rooms, views, food, and service have all been wonderful. We also went and golfed at Quivira Golf Course (so beautiful!)

Reservations needed for dinner at Cibola (Montecristo) and Quivira Steakhouse ($) – book at least a few days in advance.

Quivira Clubhouse - this is at the Quivira golf course.

I recently responded to his email asking about what rates were at Quivira Golf Club and if he could help us book a tee time for 3 players for our stay in December 2023.

My wife and our friends took a walk one day to Quivira at about 100pm.

We made the rounds to Quivira for an amazing breakfast,and to the restaurant at Monte Cristo for dinner.

This entire resort complex within Quivira, which includes the spectacular resort of Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach where we stayed, was incredible.

The amenities were amazing, Quivira Golf Course is arguably the best golf course in the world - certainly my favorite golf experience - and the staff across the entire resort were so friendly and accommodating.

Because of this we visit every year and are buying a property in Quivira, which is developed by the powers that be in charge of Pueblo Bonito.

This service simplifies vacation life so we can enjoy our time at the six PB Cabo properties (Sunset, Pacifica, Montecristo, Quivira, Rose, and Los Cabos (Blanco) while on our Cabo vacation!

We stayed at a condo in Quivira the previous week, which is nearby, so we were somewhat familiar with the grounds.

Quivira is still beautiful and still a challenge!! !

We had a nice time walking to Quivira Golf and they accept the Sunset all-inclusive.

We had the Baja Shrimp tacos and carne asada quesadilla.

We are the shrimp quesadilla and the catch of the day ceviche.

-Staff service at the Bistro was fabulous.

We always look forward to the great food, service and staff.

On top of serving drinks and food all day for my familia.

Great service, great drinks, great food, great people,  & great representation of what’s best in Cabo!

The food and service was delicious and we will be sure to return.

Drinks and food kept coming and was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Pros: friendly staff, beach volleyball, good food 
Cons: 1 hour from airport, terrible steep layout, over crowded, owner review at high stars to keep the value high.

We leave anywhere from $1-2 per meal especially if they show good hussle!

Even other restaurants included have extra charge for any seafood.

The marketplace is a nice “food court”

Restaurant:
The food at the restaurant is average, especially in non-Mexican restaurants.

Yoli at the Brunch and Rolando who was our shuttle driver at Sunset Beach were the BEST.

The burgers were very good and the service was excellent (and fast)!

There are a total of 17 restaurants in all 3 properties and most of the food options are great.

He was very attentive and super friendly.

He’s an awesome guy to get to know and well spoken.

He is so nice and friendly and caters to everyone’s needs without having to change them so he shows his personality and everything he does.

He remembered us and knew what to do to make us feel welcomed.

He also is very attentive and has great service, constantly checks in and provides great recommendations

Pueblo Bonito Sunset was great at accommodating our requests all the staff was friendly and more than helpful!

Driver #26 Jaciel was especially helpful with one of our party who wasn’t particularly mobile.

Mr. LAGUN was funny and had a positive attitude.

Everyone here is so full of enrgy and eager to help you have the best time here.

Alejandro 38 was so informative and friendly!

He is very kind and brings out the drinks quickly.

Accomodations are very clean and comfortable, service is pleasant and everyone we have interacted with is so kind and many have a wonderful sense of humor.

The workers at the resort were very helpful

Roman the shuttle driver always remembered us and made a very personable experience and went out of his way to always address of by our name and ask us what are plans are today.

He’s a blast and definitely made the experience one of a kind!

Alan from the main pool was the best and most responsive waiter we have ever had (also shout out to Reiber- also an all star )

If you are lucky enough to have Alan as your waiter your day will be blessed.

At some point, we went to the cafeteria, although it is an all-inclusive hotel, coffee was included,

-Juices are watered down in buffet - everything else was typical buffet style- great presentation with lots of repetition & options ( we’ve done a lot of all inclusive over the years so know the drill )
- A la carts- hit & miss- Japanese ( great food and entertainment) and Grill were the best!
