Caveat: because I had kept my phone on airplane mode to avoid roaming charges, I couldn’t use “find my phone” nor did my phone show the “call me message” we programmed onto the Home Screen from my husband’s phone.

As a result they charged me $760 for an “additional person.” I’ve been sitting at Agave now for 30 mins.

Also we were told there were no charges on our room so did not look at the receipt

The hotel provided shuttle guy charged us 20 us dollars per person to get back to the hotel.

but they put a hold on my credit card for $750.00, which would be "refunded on checkout".

- Towels: You get 1 towel per person and have to return your "towel card" at the end of your stay or get charged $50.

-We were double charged for the excursion anyway.

Within 7 days when it didnt show up on my credit card, I contacted the hotel and they said to dispute the charge with my credit card.

but there were many hours that deserve credit as well!

I then disputed the charge with my credit card company and despite providing proof of the erroneous charge failed to get a refund.

but you don't have to worry when EMI and EIZABETH are in charge.

but please charge it to my hes and not my heart

you get a small plastic towel card at check in.

However the front desk charged me for the full 7 days, so an additional $294 was charged to my card for a day I did not use.

I was unimpressed that at check-in I was forced to give a credit card deposit of $329 which is still pending ..I've traveled to many hotels I've never been asked for a deposit.

even though we were the only ones there the young lady at the front desk said she didn’t know how to do it so we stood there for 25min because the guy who could help us was on the phone with a customer who was disputing a charge, I could hear the whole thing.

It’s better to trust your guests to share, remove the cards and just put fresh towels out every hour or similar.

Then, the resort blamed US for this error and almost charged us MORE (no apology or kindness during that entire situation).

No towel cards , so many people just left them on the loungers and walked away so you couldn't tell if they were still being used.

They took care of my family and friends anyway at no additional charge.

We actually walked to Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach along the shoreline.

We were looking forward to the walk/scramble over to divorce beach

although you can't swim at the beach at the resort, the kids loved walking the half mile down the beach to the rocks and climbing over them to Divorce Beach.

Plus we were able to walk from our beach to the arch, lovers beach and divorce beach.

We took a water taxi to Lovers Beach and walked round to Divorce beach.

The views are amazing of both the beach and the marina.

We went to the marina often for shopping and meals

Excellent show and  wonderful drone and firework display over the marina.

We were extremely fortunate to visit Sandos Finisterra in Dec. We have visited Sandos properties in Play Del Carmen yearly over the last 5 years and decided to give Finisterra a try.

Again, we went around the marina for drinks a few times, where you can get inexpensive

It is right across the street from the Marina, with lots of shopping, bar, excursion and restaurant options if you want to leave the resort.

A consideration not to be overlooked is you have direct and close access to everything on the marina and around.

The resort had unique architecture, was spotless, friendly staff, quiet location, close to Marina.

You can’t beat the location, we walked over to the marina everyday.

Walking down to the street and crossing to the marina is convenient.

The Spa Del Mar was beautiful and smelled amazing.

The marina right across the street is so convenient for excursions or just walking around..Loved everything about Sandos and will return without a doubt!

Great views of marina with morning latte from Cupcake and the ocean every afternoon from the pool and beach.

The food was great, the people and service was great, this is where you want to come to be around the marina and close to your resort.

Location:  great location, easy to find, easy to walk down to the marina, great view of both sides (ocean/marina).

Great location for the Marina and downtown Cabo San Lucas.

Helena and Clarissa at the Spa Del Mar were fantastic!

Sandos Finisterra is in a great location - easy walk into town and the marina.

Easy walk down to the marina and into town.

Almost every morning we used their gym and it was clean and had amazing views of the marina!

With part of the hotel built into the cliffs there are views of the marina on one side and ocean on the other.

It was a fairly easy walk into town and the view of the marina and ocean were great.

At night the views are spectacular, the outdoor lounge overlooking the marina at night was fantastic, a great place to enjoy drinks, entertainment and of course the views.

The views of the marina are amazing, the staff is always accomodating, friendly,  and responsive, and it's a great proximity to the Marina where you can walk off resort safely.

The location is beautiful with views of the Pacific and the marina.

From either side of the resort you have views of either the ocean or the marina.

The breakfast buffet was plentiful with lots of fresh choices and a great view of the marina.

We had a junior sweet with a view of the marina and a jetted tub in the center of the room.

The views of the Marina cannot be beat, and the property is just stunning!!

It overlooks the marina, which is a bustling place of activity of boats, people and cruise ships.

The plaza overlooks the marina and has the most incredible evening views!

Our room had the Marina view over the cupcake shop, and it waws perfect.

The view overlooking the marina is breathtaking and he made us feel super special remembering who we were and everything!

The Coffee and sweets shop was wonderful overlooking the Marina.

If you are looking for character and charm, excellent food and drinks, amazing coffee cupcake bar with views overlooking the marina.

The modern well-equipped gym was a welcomed surprise and has an amazing view of the marina.

Agave was great for lunch and Don Diego had a beautiful view of the Marina at breakfast buffet.

The hotel is built into the hillside cliffs and is beautiful; on one side you have the ocean and the other is the marina.

Many mornings she was working the host stand at breakfast or serving cupcakes in the cafe.

He has good recommendations about restaurants near the hotel and thinks about tipping him well.

He talked about the busy season here and told us more about the restaurants.

Manuel Ceseña has been very helpful at the Agave restaurant helping provide me the dining options available for my gluten allergy.

The best place to get lunch at Sandos Finisterra is by far Agave.

José has also been excellent at organizing packed lunches for our excursions.

Louis at the whale watchers bar made the BEST cocktails in the evening.

When our night end it is us and new friends looking for just that perfect cocktail for night cap.

The most surprising was how good the food was.

Absolutely every part of your experience was next level; from the amazing service from every single staff we encountered, the food, the entertainment and the beautiful resort.

Marlen in the Cupcake Café is AWESOME!!!

so we went to the tacos stall by the pool every day (which was good).

Three pools and four restaurants to chose from.

We thought the food was very good for an all inclusive resort.

The food was also above average for an all inclusive and there were lots of choices.

The resort is clean, the staff are SO helpful and the overall, the food was quite good.

The pools and restaurants are amazing and the views are next to none.

Other patrons that came after me got their food already; we haven’t even gotten our drinks.

ulises panda was sensational His service and way of talking make him an outstanding person.

The staff was super friendly, helpful, efficient, informative and entertaining.

Also, shout out to the entertainment team Fernando, Enrique and Yuki for bringing so much life to the resort.

The entertainment in the resort is fun  we enjoyed the white party and Latin night.

Panda made our trip, just a first class guy and excellent representative of the Sandis Finistera property in Cabo.

We come to the Finisterra often and we can't say enough about this resort.The location, cleanliness, food and entertainment are all great.But as usual the staff make this resort!

So you led me blindly to pay for all inclusive as you sold it to eat at all of your restaurants and  not true.

The live shows every evening were so good and included with an all inclusive which was wonderful and the food at the shows (buffet) was very good as well.

Did the all inclusive and was not disappointed.

They do offer both all inclusive and alacarte.

We had an all inclusive plan and the food in the restaurants was delicious.

All inclusive was worth it just for the shows!

Our package was all inclusive and there are a handful of onsite restaurants to choose from.

We did all inclusive because we enjoy drinks and the a la carte prices are high.

They truly know how to create lasting memories and truly raises the bar on what you want to expect in an all inclusive resort.

and foods was great and soo good.the best part of all inclusive was all free foods and drinks.

we had a junior suite room no ocean view and it was lovely, there was a kitchen; in case you don't like the all inclusive, (But I do recommend the all inclusive option since this was cheaper for us) with all the appliances needed  for you.

Food was excellent - definitely go with the all inclusive package - we probably drank  8 waters a day each!

We had All inclusive bracelets, Which you would think you could walk up to the bar and get your drink, But no, you have to wait inline.

If you are coming to eat and drink I would suggest getting the all inclusive package and taking advantage of that.

but to have stayed in the penthouse at arco furniture was older tv was older bathroom layout not good .lavalencia was good very quiet no entertainment or sports bar pools are nice food awesome expensive if don't get all inclusive worth it even for 3 days no restuarant nearby.

Our stay was from July 2nd to July 8th and we were all-inclusive (AI).

Do the all inclusive option…you will not regret it!

One staff member in particular (Carlos Jesus) had that special care and graciousness that took our experience to another level.

Andres was our pool waiter and he did a great job in taking care of all our food and drink needs while were relaxing.

Nico went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and all our needs were met.

Nayeli was always prompt in taking care of us when we were not at the beach.

The staff is excellent especially Alberto the poolside mgr who took notes on our stay and followed thur with fixing coffee maker in room and ensuring staff took care of us.

We enjoyed having Nico take care of us poolside with great service.

The service is always excellent and the care the servers at the pool (where we spend most of our time) show is fantastic.

She took such great care of us…especially my 2 young boys.

The staff is friendly and Andres takes care of us like we are family and makes us feel like VIPs.

Alejandro in the Tomatillo Restaurant took care of us for our anniversary.

Iracema was a fantastic server who took care of our every need.

My suggestion is go to one of these brand new resorts, they’re brand spanking new, they’re fighting for and taking care of new members and will comp you with excursions and amenities per some friends we’ve encountered.

Also how quickly the maids and maintenance people take care of any concerns.

Carlos was very attentive and always made sure we were taken care of, even if weren’t in his area.

Iracema in the Sports Bar made sure my husband and I we were very well taken care of everyday of our stay.

Marino from the Deli took care of us every morning - always very accommodating and welcoming.

but their process is multi-step and includes manually copying some information onto additional forms, odd since they had my information (names, arrivals, credit card, etc) months in advance.

The discount card and coupons may actually make it worthwhile, cashiers always asked if we had our "VIP" card.

We get to our restauarant and there is an up charge of $1000 pesos each!

Top 3 issues: 1) they have a policy if your original credit card is not with you, they have to reimburse you and you have to pay again on an active card….

But being that this is Mexico and they LOVE their paperwork , be sure to print  out your whole reservation so you have something in writing to ensure they will honor what was promised ( we had to show them upon check out our $100/room credit after they presented the final bill without it).

Was charged and paid for damages for towels because there was makeup on them.

In fact we were drinking the same thing early and was not charged.

but we experienced issues with incorrect charges on our bills.

I am a frequent traveler and have NEVER experienced such a petty charge like this before!

If they start drinking before their time, they should be charged and made aware of it.

Whoever is in charge of your marketing, fire them.

but when we pulled up our bank charges on line, they charged $35 more on-site, and later tried to blame the exchange rate.

but in my opinion very overpriced for Mexican terms, they also charge the tip on the bill what is highly illegal to do so in Mexico but they don't care.

Seeing that you can’t drink the water or even use it to brush your teeth it seemed weird they charge $5 for it.

They said we had to do this or they would charge us full price.

And if you’re not all inclusive, you will be charged $5/bottle.

but the charges came twice, once on the day before we checked out and then again when we checked out, so be careful!

The check-in staff was not helpful in any way with this and charged us double the price on booking.com.

Activities/swimming-I definitely recommend taking a tour to the Arch and spending some time on Lovers Beach and Divorce beach.

It is close to the famous arc, land’s end, lovers and divorce beach.

Lovers beach with Divorce beach on the Pacific side is breathtaking & a must see!

We also did a water taxi tour to the Arc, lovers beach, divorce beach, seal rock etc.

If you want an ocean view then you will need to pay for the ocean view.

It’s the extras that were paid attention too.

The restaurants were very overpriced as were the drinks unless at happy hour.

The resort is a quick taxi ride into the city center (and taxis are fixed rate each way).

Btw they dropped the “you can’t have 2 reservations in your name” after she paid the maintenance fee.

The breakfast was over $120 for 2 very over priced.

My only disappointment would be them charging me 11 USD upon check out  for two face cloths because it had mascara on them up.

They pay attention to the details to make sure you enjoy your stay.

though we paid for Oceanview, we received the parking lot view and they would not change our rooms.

Everyone had to pay five to nine dollars per bottle of water on the resort.

This is a nice resort with constant upkeep, a slide at the pool and
All inclusive food packages- food is expensive at the resort.

We signed up for the Premium Wi-Fi service so she would not have any issues.

With the exception of the drinking water, most of the items are a bit overpriced,

The receipt reflects the total cost of everything you order - which is confusing because you are essentially agreeing to pay the total amount.

Stay away everybody’s rude since you get here, be ready to pay an extra thousand for Pool view.

It was also a plus getting to watch them dance in the wonderful dinner shows.

Everything from the check in process,  to the food, to the pool staff, the entertainment team and cleaning staff were top notch.

The food is great, located close enough to walk to town, and great views from the rooms.

We ate at all the on-site restaurants - the food was serviceable

Handy deli and minimart on the property too.

However after the 2nd and 3 rd day from the housekeeper (Mrs. Carmelita) waiter(Juan Carlos down by the beach & Alex near the pool area) and hostess (Ms. Keren what a sweetheart @ sports bar resturant) super welcoming  and loving.The people behind the scenes made this trip  memorable.

Other than that restaurants are good and the desert spa at arco is amazing.

Daniel at the Carbon Grill was also exceptional!

but were able to eat there late in the evening (8-9pm).

The Christmas show & buffet dinner were amazing~

For our taste we like our quesadillas and pizza crispy so we did need to send back for a few extra minutes on the grill.

One thing this trip was that we were less than impressed with service at the Sports Bar, food was excellent

We have come here for the past 3 years, they have great food, great staff, especially Nico and Nayelly they are the best!!

It was an added bonus that we could also dine at Neptune at their sister property Los Arcos and use the paddle boards at that property as well.

Great entertainment every night and the food was delicious.

Their nightly shows are awesome and during the day they have many options for kids.

For dinner we loved the steakhouse, must try, and dinner and show.

Shows every night if a different theme (Michael Jackson, grease, lion king…) which were entertaining.

What makes Villa de Palmar a great resort in Cabo are the evening shows and the day time entertaining.

Nooralby was our hostess at the shows we attended throughout our week stay at The Villa Del Palmar and she was absolutely lovely!!

They loved being able to see them on stage each night and play with them during the day!

She is also a great dancer during the evening shows, especially the tropical show.

Every night a new and different performance!

I don’t think anyplace else has a production show each night and a big buffet.

In addition the  beds in the rooms were very comfortable,  the food was always good, the evening shows every night were entertaining, and the resort overall was very cleanly.

He hosted water aerobics by day and starred in the evening shows.
