The pictures online looked amazing and I was expecting a gorgeous view of the resort and ocean.

If you love the beach, are a foodie, and want to relax this is not ideal.

We used the gym, spa, walked the beach, saw belly dancing, heard harpist and tried more desserts than we can imagine. 7.

While the beach is not swimmable there - one is located about 10 min walk that is.

Great time - superior accommodations and services, fantastic pool, beach, spa, and restaurants.

The spa, the beach, the pools, the food, the wait staff or private

one facing the beach with a bar, one large one in the middle with a bar and dj and two side pools that were much more quiet.

We had a dinner with family overlooking the beach with delicious steak and  lobster, and a path of rose petals to a drawn bath by our Butlers.

The hotel is on the beach with the most amazing ocean views.

The activity staff Karla, Alfredo, and Eduardo kept us entertained with pool trivia, mixology classes, SUP and beach volleyball.

but Hector (Pizza), Victor (Italia), Miguel (Lumiere), Juan (Lumiere) and Carlos (server on beach for Middle Eastern Night) really stood out.

Look for Heriberto and Sebastian for your pool concierges - they will hook you up with the best pool and beach seats.

The mini bar was stocked perfectly every day and we had white wine chilling after the beach every evening.

In addition to golf, beach volleyball, gym, SPA, snorkeling, and an ATV excursion, our little group spent days at the pool being lavished with attention by Sebastian, Angel, Karine, Ulysses, Alberto, Esteban, Orfinda, Omar, Miguel, Alejandro, Edna, and Antonio.

We celebrated with the teepee on the beach which was so romantic and relaxing.

For instance, on Friday afternoon the Ocean restaurant featured a giant seafood BBQ with gigantic prawns, tuna, octopus, sea bass and more.

My husband surprised me with a proposal on the beach, and if it wasn’t for Fernanda Davalos he wouldn’t have been able to pull off the surprise.

Our room was all the way down at the end of the hall away from the elevators and hung out well beyond where the resort pools were located.

The use of marble floor tile for the main access to the pool is questionable at best.

The service, food, rooms, pool, drinks, and experience were the best of any of the many 5 star resorts we’ve ever been to.

Pool - There was plenty of umbrellas and places to lounge around.

When I come back next year I'm hoping to have them again no doubt everyone else are as great as them because the staff at the bars, restaurants and the pool were awesome.. what makes this hotel in my opinion one of the best is the staff.

The staff at the coffee shop, they get you started every morning if you are up early for the excellent pastries and coffee at 6 am, thank you.

We utilized every service from the spa, whale excursions, the in house shops and restaurants.

This can be used relatively anywhere (gift shops, excursions, spa services).

I finally realize the gift shop has pepto, and I get that.

Other observations:
-The coffee shop was better than most,

•	Breakfast favorites were Ocean and the coffee shop.

My husband went to the gift shop to buy some Pepto and Pedialyte.

There are a few shelves of things at the shop you can use your resort credits on also.

•	Coffee shop - we enjoyed the coffee shop at least once/day.

The coffee shop offers a delish variety of coffees and and sweet and savory snacks!

and don't miss the coffee shop and the delicious ice-cream!

Highlights include a Glass Blowing Factory, Blanket Shop, Tequila tasting, a visit to a Jewelry Store to learn about pearl harvesting, town tour, and the famous Hotel California.

The coffee shop had a great menu with many choices.

We happened in one shop that had a ton of trinkets and some very nice leather wares and hats.

There was the necessary social distancing at the restaurants, the pool area and common areas such as elevators and shops.

And avoid the jewelry shops if you do the town tours.

but we felt it was to hot to take the tour.

We did book that tour after 2 full days in the resort.

We did take the sales tour … all rooms are virtually identical which was a bit of a surprise (same furniture/fixtures in all).

We had a great tour that was booked thru the resort.

He booked our ATV/Camel riding tour and we were serviced expeditiously once we arrived, while others had to wait.

but before getting to our room, we were set up with what we thought would be a resort tour and welcome drink but turned out to be a pitch for the sales presentation.

She made the steps east to learn and she guided us so that we danced as a cohesive group.

The private sunset tour was amazing, we had the best captains.

During the “property” tour , Oscar was actually really great doing his job.

butler helped with reservations and recommendations for tours and activities.

Sara who took us around on the timeshare tour was great.

We enjoyed sunset sailing, ATV riding, city tours, delicious food, pool/hot tub bumming, 4 hand massages, entertainment and more.

Whale watching tour was definitely well worth it as well.

We enjoyed the Sunset Sail Cruise, Todos Santos tour, and snorkeling adventure.

After we checked in we spent a few minutes catching up with Gregorio from tours.

The tour staff was great to teach us more including Romeo as well.

We also went on a sunset sailing tour using our resort credits.

Daniel our tour guide was exceptional, stopping along the way to see some other attractions that he finds interesting.

We had lunch at the Beach Club with an amazing view!

Something I loved about this property was that there were always plenty of beach chairs available right next to the pool no matter what time of day it was.

The staff is very good as a top-notch hotel, and the walk along the beach is very nice.

On our last morning, Hector helped us spot out Mobula Ray’s LITERALLY jumping out of the water on the beachfront near our breakfast table.

She responded quickly each time and made a wonderful suggestion with SUR Beach House for our day trip/lunch where there is a swimmable beach & great seafood & beach club vibes.

Then once you cross the tunnel and are handed the perfect margarita you know you have found your new favorite beach resort.

He arranged dinner, transportation, pool or beach seating and many more things without us even asking.

The fitness facility was well equipped, Monica the desk attendant was lovely, friendly and helpful.

The guestrooms are spacious with gorgeous ocean views, the beach club is so relaxing, and the restaurant (El Farallon) setting takes your breath away.

The Champagne Bar by the beach was also incredible.

My wife must eat gluten free, and Ms. Hernandez even arranged that our s'mores for a beach campfire were gluten free.

Others may look back at their stay in Cabo and the beaches, the experience, and the amazing weather.

This beachfront is intimately remote from the concurrent olfactory, auditory, tactile and proprioceptive distortions of towns, country and the globe in disarray, this "hidden" oasis serves as the calm "third eye" of the heritage, culture and traditions that embodies Mexico's reverence to the environment.

Spa treatments were amazing and the s'mores on the beach experience was way better and more impressive than I ever would have imagined.

The set up for the wedding party on the beach Saturday was spectacular.

We were also allowed to bring in an outside photographer and do a photo shoot on the beach with the help of the hotel showing us the perfect places for pictures.

She helped me plan a surprise cake with decorations for the room and even an amazing private beach front dinner with my husband on our last night.

We were in an Ocean View room right next to El Farallon which gave us amazing views of the beach and ocean,

This whole beach from end to end is private, beautiful and breathtaking.

Our room was beautiful, all the small touches from the rainfall shower to our plunge pool with unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean made it hard to ever leave the room.

The food and drinks are exceptional also, from the breakfast buffet to Guava margaritas by the pool, to delicious dinners.

Our room was beautiful with an ocean view and a plunge pool.

Rooms are aesthetically pleasing and include a private dipping pool.

The staff are beyond helpful, 90% speak English and when you come to the pool, bar or restaurant they know your name and run to help.

The rooms were spectacular and our private plunge pool overlooking the ocean was beyond gorgeous.

The service was spectacular, from Mary, the hostess at Don Manuel’s who greeted us by name and with a smile everyday, to our breakfast waiter Ricardo who remembered details about our preferences, to Carlos at he pool, who was always making sure out seats were shaded with the umbrella and our drinks (either water or cocktails) never ran out.

When you are there next, ask Gabriel about a few off the menu drinks (the Gabriel, the Noack, or Dia Libre)
We spent most of our day at the swim up pool or at our own plunge pool in the room.

the entire staff including Salvador was super accommodating from food, room, and pool service.

I have mixed feelings about my 5-night stay
The good: 
- Service at all restaurants, pools, spa and house keeping is fantastic.

From the private tunnel entrance, to the plunge pool in each room, to the unique spa rooms that open to a meditation pool, to the infinity pools where you can sip on a drink while listening to the waves crash.

Its also worth mentioning that each room has its own veranda as well as a welcoming plunge pool.

July 4th was incredibly fun and we had a great spot right underneath the fireworks and along the perimeter of the pool.

Every room has plunge pool, which makes you feel like you r in Santorini Greece, Maldives or Bora Bora!

Food is expensive, likely the sign of times.

When I forgot to remove the DND for the delivery, she made sure that it was delivered during checkout.

but removed daily housekeeping service (and are charging more at the same time).

Fair warnings about the presidential suite: super small kitchen pantry in comparison to the multi bedroom oceanVIEW suites and the living room is smaller than expected.

(it never bothered us) Unadvertised on their notice about the construction was that Don Manuel's is only open for dinner Friday and Saturday, we ordered room service one night and went out another.

We did not know this, because we didn't see any signs saying this.

although we knew that swimming there was not recommended, no-one ever said it was forbidden until my adult son tried to go in the water.

The one caveat would be that if you want to bring kids, you cannot swim in the ocean because there is always a red flag warning.

One minor warning / suggestion if you use carry on bags only.

On 2 nights we were late to leave for dinner and had our do not disturb on the room, on both occasions the staff left a note advising they were unable to do turndown due to our DND sign

I did notice that the private ocean fronts were actually not really that private.

but that's like walking into a Ferrari dealership, looking at the window sticker, buying the car and complaining about the price on your drive home.

I didn't finish a sandwich in one of the smaller eateries and five minutes after I left I was approached by staff inquiring what could have been corrected, it was removed from my bill.

However, there were no sirens or signs of crime going on nearby.

but notice that during our stay we realized we were some of the only first time guests.

Second, each bedroom has a smoke detector directly above the bed and every 5 seconds, a small LED would flicker, supposedly indicating that the detector was functioning properly.

DO NOT FALL FOR THAT, lol walk straight out the front door of the airport and look for the SIGN someone will be holding that says Resort at Pedregal and then you will be in the right place.

Tennis courts not good, previously hard court and really good, now artificially turf with nton of sand and no means to remove it, also no towels or bug spray

Making an entrance has always been a sign of notoriety.

Also not good having kids at adult pool, had to request they be removed as very annoying.couple of times.

Room service was good, if a bit slow sometimes.

Minus one star for service – that is to include management at the check in process, poolside being slow, spa cutting us short on our time, housekeeping being inconsistent and requests requested more than once in order to receive.

Breakfast was average at Don Manuel and service was a bit slow the entire time we were at the restaurant.

My one complaint about the rooms is the very slow internet at this resort.

but not quite at the same level as resorts such as Four Seasons Punta Mita
- Breakfast is "okay" but we definitely felt like the staff were trying to upsell us on the breakfast cocktails ($18) and smoothies ($12 each)
- Non-swimmable beach
- Very slow responses from the concierge (email)

The hotel felt like it was trying hard but just not quite there compared to similar resorts I've been fortunate enough to stay at elsewhere.

The areas to improve (in sequence more than priority)
Airport transfer wasn't great, instructions of who to meet and clothing were incorrect so had to call and find them
Clientele, noisy drunk lowlifes at pool 
Breakfast was slow, limited non sweet options, no toaster and poor bread, no english breakfast tea (later found).

In addition, the pool service was generally slow.

Breakfast was slow, inaccurate and overall very poor, and again crazy expensive so pleased it was “included” in our package.

Went in the middle of the summer, their slow season, and it was crazy hot,

My one recommendation is the resort lower the room rates during the slow times in January and other months.

though the service was extremely slow, almost as if they were understaffed, the same can be said for El Farallon.

We took a taxi to Chileno Beach (must see) and rented chairs, umbrellas and a stocked cooler (water and beer) from a local business (ask the concierge) which made for a great beach day.

Allowed us to do day trips to Chileno Beach (awesome for snorkeling – free parking), restaurants, both downtowns, groceries, etc.

Daily construction down below made sitting on the balcony and enjoying the neighboring building less than desirable.

even though there is construction occurring it has not bothered us.

There is some construction going on under the arch that connects the two buildings and scaffolding was being put up.

The place is half under construction so most of the food options are closed.

but don’t be surprised if you hear some mid-day construction.

However there is construction going on they seem to be constructing a new pool so be prepared for the constant drilling noise all day.

but would have liked to be forewarned about adult pool closing and the few days of construction noise involved.

CONSTRUCTION: While the pools were fantastic, our zen was somewhat interrupted by the 3PM-5PM jack hammering to renovate their Kids Area.

it is ntoed that like most everywhere in mexico, the construction doe not have OSHA issues.

The place is under some major construction which required access to the pool through a narrow tunnel.

a lot of construction going on at the pool area and remember the beach is no longer swimmable.

There was required construction while we were there which was needed after a hurricane and that also did not bother us and it was almost complete by the time we left.

Like other reviews, there was construction going on.

We walked around only to find out that there was quite a bit of construction going on at the hotel.

Navigating the hotel is challenging at first, especially with the construction.

The resort was under construction, looked to be reinforcing the arch, when we were there.

There is no elevator to the pool level and due to construction, it was a challenge to get to the pool.

The third pool was under construction while we were there (it looked to be the smallest of the 3).

The also always forgot an item that we ordered that conveniently they would not forget to charge for.

Also Victor at the margarita bar was so helpful when I thought my card was double charged, he went through the trouble of checking their system to make sure it didn’t go through.

I have made numerous requests - to be refunded for overcharged COVID test (948.88 peso/46.80 USD/44.84 euro and to obtain a copy of a receipt from the Marketplace for 4,985.00 peso/245.90 USD/235.55 euro.

Double charged for COVID-19 test and hotel store.

I asked if they had contacted the kitchen, which they hadn't, and then I asked if they could, at the very least, credit back the certificates I used for the two days I was sick, and they refused.

When I finally got back to the US they went and charged me over $4k for things that we didnt even break in the room.

The only downfall for this resort is the food, they are charging high end prices for food that no care goes into presenting preparing or finishing, I have yet to have a meal at any of the restaurants that I would consider a value for the money or good for that matter.

In one case the up charges nearly doubled the cost of the tour.

But for a massive resort they only have one restaurant- charging LA/NY prices and food quality tastes like leftovers from a cheap all inclusive resort.

The next day the employee of Europcar is arguing with us and charging us additional fees for gas that was in the car when we dropped it off.

You can be charged one amount to go somewhere and a more expensive amount coming back.

How hard is it to offer even a small credit for a coffee or cocktail so entice more reservations?

for my troubles, I was given a $150 credit for my stay.

To help charge your phone which not too many of the staff are aware of

Room stay billed multiple times to various credit cards.

but double check your price before confirm, we were overcharged on way back with no traffic issues or problems to warrant it.

The only thing I didn’t like was that they charged me for making a LOCAL phone call from my room when I had to contact the tour company to change our reservation

Although we didn't upgrade on our current time share package they did offer us an additional vacation package for $899 for 5 days 4 nights and have 18 months to book(limited to Jun - Sept, if used outside that range they charge an additional $300).

I saw some questionable reviews with only 1 contribution and as always would like to share my honest & practical opinion.

The only reason I do not give it a 5-star rating is that the beautiful golden-sand beach is permanently closed to swimming because of dangerous undertow.

People actually pass you in the bike lane and four way stops are a joke; people are lucky if they slow down, most just merely take their foot off the accelerator and it is very very scary.

I had a maintenance issue (kitchen sink garbage disposal drain was wide open with no cover -- just a hole down into the drain/disposer -- which was dangerous), and maintenance came within minutes to fix it.

though is too rough for any swimming of any kind - and even too dangerous to have our little kids at the edge of the water (per lifeguard).

but the beach undercurrent was too dangerous to swim.

but water is dangerous therefore no swimming allowed.

Unfortunately, the sea in that part of Los Cabos is too dangerous for swimming (not just at the Westin,

The waves are humongous and at times dangerous.

But most noticeable was how well they took the time to explain the dangers without losing patience with the curious visitors wanting to get a closer look at the dangerous waters.

The only downfall is you can’t swim at the beach due to dangerous waters.
